I recently received my Oracle Associate's in PL/SQL Development and I have been looking for opportunities as a PL/SQL Developer. I do plan on going for the Professional Certificate very soon. The problem is that a lot of companies are looking for someone with experience. As a beginner, what advice can you give someone who looking to get their "foot in the door"? Thanks in advance.

I want to know something about the job what you were saying b4.look this days companies are asking for bond money.after campussing they took the money from the student/freshers and giving a resit as training cost / or some thing else...after six month you can hardly find them.our govt of india is taking steps yet to come up with a result.it is an another perspective of freshers who want to perform in corporate sector. :D ;-)
I know i need to have a sound knowledge but there is no end of knowledge.even after OCM[ (its only for dba track ) (that i guess)]a freshers will be asked by a HR thrice " you are freshers right??how will you perform in our organizations??".and some one may not be called for technical round.
what i believe just you need good reference to avoid all these scenario.
lets look at a story who i know personally :
I know someone who was asked about a linux command:
interviewers : which command help you to know about the user are not login?
candidate : first i will know the list of users who are actually logged in.
.................then subtract it by total users.
Inter : how do you wake/make up a server?
candidate : machine restart.

still he got the job(the company has very good reputation in india and in global market).he had no technical back ground from OU/recognized univ b4 that interview.But he made a fake experience certificate and company will hardly analyze those....at max make a call to that office.anyway thats a different issue. ;-)
now he is a disaster dba.so....??
the recession makes the thing tougher for us thats the main reason and what you need a good reference and adaptability.

You should of course only do this if it is safe for you do to so, the fact you have mentioned on a public forum means it may be not safe. However I would suggest others with significant SPECIFIC INSTANCES of fraud post to ocpfraud_ww. Please note I believe it is not ocpfraud_ww's to reply to any complaint, however I suppose in this instance they might check with the employer they if the have an employee X claiming to have certifications A,B,C then these are possibly not valid and to explain and to take appropriate action ... etc etc.
Obviously customers of this organisation would be concerned, and from what you say there is a strong possibility bigdelboy himself is an end customer of this organisation in some manner.

I admit I am lay user with rudimentary SSL knowledge and I therefore messed up my certificates and I could no longer access my own server (Wikis, WebDav, Device Manager) with Safari. (error: Safari can't connect to server)
Eventually, I could resolve the problem but I do not understand why there was problem in the first place.
Maybe someone can explain that to me ?
OK, here is what I did:
I created a Certificate Authority because I wanted to use a free SSL Server certificate for our private server.
(I followed http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/mac/create-your-own-ssl-ca-with-the-os-x-keycha in/388 )
Despite several attempts I never got the server to accept the certificate for web services, the certificate was accepted for iCal, Mail and iChat but not for Web services. I tested an older certificate that was created when I set up the server and that that worked for all services incl. Web. So the problem was with my certificate only.
Out of desperation and lack of concentration I deleted the "original" certificate.
Now, I soon noticed that I could no longer log in to my server. I solved the problem by restoring the original certificate.
My question:
I had SSL disabled in the Server app settings. Why does Safari still look for a proper certicate ? (the server logfile had an entry that a .pem file could not be found which makes sense if the cert has been deleted)
I would be very grateful for an expert advice.

Because....
the server does not have a 'trusted' certificate assigned to it.
Only the RDP Gateway has the trusted certificate for the external name.
If you want to remove that error, you have to do one of the following:
Make sure your domain uses a public top level domaim, and get a public trusted certificate for your server.
So, something like,
server.domain.publicdomain.com
Or,
Install that certificate on your remote computer so it is trusted.

Need an expert advice in Implementing continuous delivery across environments

I need an expert advice/solution in implementing continuous delivery in our project. (PF Screenshot)
Deployment goes like this..
Dev checks in -> TFS Builds - > RM Invokes -> using PS/DSC -> Copies the binaries to DIT environemnt's IIS virtual dir -> Manual replacement of Web.config files (since we have many environments)- > App runs
PS/DSC does following things : Copies binaries using X copy , Uploads SP excel reports , Executing Dacpac scripts etc ..
Now the chanllenge earlier faced was wrt Web.Config files was, for every DIT environment many configurations, conn strings would change. In order to overcome this , Implemented Web.config transformations( like Web.DIT1.Config .... Web.DIT6.config in my solution
explorer.
Added a custom MSBuild script in my .csproj file and before triggerig the build defination I 'd change in Process tab- > Basic - > Configuration = DIT1 (based on requirement) and triggers . )
It perfectly deploys to the DIT 1 without manually replacing WEb.config files.
1) Now the blocker for me, Can we achieve this without Web.config transformations ? Since I don't want to expose the sensitive date in config files is there any way to implementing the same ?
2) I wanted to have continuous deployments from DIT to SIT and from SIT to UAT etc , How can we achevive the same ?
I m planning to implement the same with web.config tokenizing in RM?
Looking for some expert advice in achieving the same?

Instead of having web config transformations to set config values for each environment do the following.
1. Have one transformation config say for example web.release.config which will contain tokens understood by RM (starting and ending with double underscore) for each config value.

The TFS builds can generate output with above formatted configs with web config transformation.
2. Then in RM server templates change the config files to have values depending on the environment. You can do this using a custom deployment component or default xcopy deployment component to set parameters.
3. Then in the release template set the config values.

Session/jstl and load balancing - need expert advice

After user loggs in, I am getting locale from db and storing it inside userSession along with userLogin. Inside jsp using <fmt> tag to display locale based resource property.
HttpSession userSession = request.getSession(true);

Config.set(userSession, Config.FMT_LOCALE, currentLocale);Also using filter after login page to check for User Session. Currently all working fine .
But if i want to make use of load balancing, whether still it will work?
1)I understand that if i depend on network config i.e. session request sticks to one server then i believe shld not be a problem
2)But if that is not the choice then what else ? Client want to make use of serialization technique. I do not know much about it, how to implement it, any sample is greatly appreciated.
3)what about jstl Config.set(..) whether any changes needed here?
4)Do i need to change filter code.

Need Expert advice on choosing Source System for creating/maint Customers.

Iam on project where we have CRM,ECC(SD),FICA in the System Landscape.The client is currently using ECC(SD) Customer master for creating/maintainig Customer's.As we have CRM & FICA in this implementation, we are planning to propose that we use CRM as the source system for creating/maintaing Customers as Business Partners & Perform standard replication to the other system's in the landscape.
The client has has asked us to confirm if having CRM as the source is the Best practice in the industry when we have this three systems (CRM,FICA,ECC(SD)) Landscape.I thought to get some expert advice on this & see if any of you have a similar project experience & share some views on this CRM BP vs ECC(SD) Customer Master.

I believe it depends on your business senario.Here I can share some my experience for you.
CRM As Source System
Advantage:
1) Choosing CRM as source system ,you can create several roles of customer for tracking the presales process of customer，such as prospect ,sold to party ,customers ,also you can define the life cycle of your customer and control which life cycle of customer should be replicated to ECC and which one should not.
2) CRM can have more views of customer and customer defined field (EEWB fields) ,so if you choose CRM as Source it will be more convenient to create and fill in the all your user defined field .In other words ,choosing ECC as source you have to extend these field again in CRM .
3） easy to maintain customer relationship
Disadvantages：
1） Have to extend Company code view of Customer data, since CRM do not have these view ,it is just used for billing and integration with financial accounts.
2） have to extend some particular partner function of customer ,it is because of CRM it is only possible to create part of partner function automatically like SP ,BP when business partner is replicating to ECC.
ECC As the source
Oppositely， if you choose ECC as the source ,the advantage become disadvantage.
Advantage :
1) Can Easily to create customer's data of company code view
2) Can easily to assign any partner function to customer
To conclude， if you only need to create sales order in ECC ，I believe choosing ECC as Lead system is better, since you do not have to extend customer data and easily to integrate with FICO and SD.Howerver, if you are going to create a sales order from opportunity or quotation ,CRM is your best choice.

I picked this code from a different blog,This code is basically replacing "ns0" with "" . I am now required to tweak it so that the logic is like this .
replace all "ns0:" with "" and replace all "ns1:" with "" and replace all "ns2:" with "com:" and replace all occurenaces except the first one of "ns4" with "" and all occureance except the first one of "ns5" with "main"
How can i tweak the code to do all of these replacements in a single go

Our Client is Builder, who undertakes following types of projects:
1. Contracting Project - He just takes order for construction of building & executes. He pays for expenses of material, labour & raises regular bills to customer.
This looks like Customer Project.
2. Development Project - He him self acquires land, constructs building & sells/leases flats, offices.
This looks like Investment project to me.
Where should we settle theses two?

Please Help Experts Advice Needed

I just bought ram memory, specifications (1024mb pc3200 400mhz ddr ram). When I installed the memory and powered up all I got was a beep sound and nothing else. Before I complain to the seller I need advice from any experts in this subject to tell me what could be wrong and how to fix it. I replaced the memory that came with the mac mini which is 256mb of ram but had to place it back in to work with my computer to find a solution to this problem. I read in mac addict that anything above pc2700 ram would be compatible with the mac mini. I have a mac mini 1.42ghz powerpc g4 any help will be appreciated.

Sadly, just because it's in spec, doesn't mean it will work.
Macs are EXTREMELY picky on RAM. The RAM itself may be good, but not compatible.

Lenovo Z710 - Major Performance Problems - Expert Advice Needed

Three months ago I bought Lenovo Z710 laptop.
Here are some system properties:
Intel Core i7 4700MQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz,
8GB RAM
Hybrid 1TB + SSHD(8G),
NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M / 2 GB,
DVD-R,
Win 8.1
After using the device for 3 months I can't describe with words how dissapointed I am.
It is unbelievably slow. The device with this configuration should do very easily hard things.
However, I have troubles doning even simple things.
For example, currently I am only browsing web and listening music from youtube.
Opening a new web page in Chrome takes 30-40 seconds. Opening a new tab takes aprox. 10 seconds.
Selecting a text and copying it, takes 15 seconds. It is even very frustrating to type even a web address because of the obvious delay in typing. Furthermore, when I listen to music there is also a delay - that makes even listening to music unbelievably frustrating. Just to mention one more time - I only have chrome running!
I have 2 Partitions - C disk (442 GB) and disk D (488 GB).
On disk C I installed Win 8.1. and at the moment on disk C 391 GB are free.
I use disk D is mostly intended for storing images, movies, and music. On this disk 258 GB are free.
Regarding the programs I installed on top of Windows, here is the list: micro Torrent, Adobe Photoshop, Android SDK Tools, Android studio, Avast Internet Security, Brackets, Corona SDK, Dropbox, Foxit Cloud, Foxit Reader, Chrome, Greenshot, MS Office, Mozilla, Skype, Notepad, VLC Player, WinRAR, XAMPP.
When I open Task Manager I see that used CPU resources are aprox. 10%, Memory aprox 35%, Disk 2%, Network 5%.
I am the only user of the device.
In Task manager I read that only Chrome takes the most of the resources taking 130 MB memory.
So why is the device with 4 physical i7 Intel processory and 8 GB SSD so slow, that I can't even type without disturbance with delays?
I don't understand how the device with mentioned hardware can be so slow.
And regarding the software, I don't understand whtat could slow the device - I mentiond what programs were installed and to what extent are resorurces being used.
Please give me your advice on what else can I check and what shoudl I do.

Can you run a system health check once and see if anything is flagged? To do so,
1. Press the + R keys to open the Run dialog, type perfmon, and click/tap on OK.
2. If prompted by UAC, click/tap on Yes.
3. In the left pane of Performance Monitor, click/tap on Data Collector Sets to expand it, click/tap on System to expand it, right click on System Diagnostics, and click on Start. (see screenshot below)
4. It will collect data for 60 seconds before the system diagnostics report will be ready to view instep 3 of OPTION TWO below.

SAP HR or SAP SRM or SAP BI expert advice

Dear SAP experts
Greetings!
My profile -> SAP technical consultant which includes :-
1. 5 years of experience in sap abap in R/3 core modules
2 With ABAP webdynpro experience
3. Done one ABAP HR support project and having good understanding to PA and Payroll module from technical point of view
4.Completed one SAP SRM 5.0 implementation project and have good srm techinical skills
5. Good understanding of SAP workflow
Now i feel i must enhance my skill in functional side but i am really confuse whch area i should go
SAP HR or SAP SRM or SAP BI ( Please note i don't have any technical knowledge or background in BI).
Which module have better market both in terms of career and oppurtunities.

HR is not difficult and use a lot of custom development. Easy start
SRM: no idea
BI: since you have nothing to start with, I would no go for this one. Start somewhere else and try to concentrate on that field together with BI. That could help you start with BI later.

Expert advice needed on Remodeling and line item Dimension

Hi All,
Scenario:
I have a cube 0FIAP_C03 for line Item. Now in this cube one of the dimensions u201CC036 -Document Detailsu201D is reaching the size of the Fact table. We are planning to use Re-Modelling and shift some of the characteristics like 0DOC_NUMBER - Sales Document, 0AC_DOC_NO - Accounting document number etc from this Dimension to another Dimension to reduce the size of this Dimension Table.
I have the following Questions:
1Will it be possible to add a new dimension and shift some characteristics from old Dimension to this new Dimension using remodeling( we donu2019t want to delete data from the cube)
2.what are the other feasible options to overcome the problem I have mentioned in my scenario( like Line Dimensions)
3.In case we can make this dimension as Line Dimension what other changes need to be made.
I am looking for a detailed explanation with all prou2019s and conu2019s, So kindly help me with your expert inputs.

No, remodelling wont work as per my understanding. ie You will have to delete and reload data
However, this also depends on the data in your dimension.....................................................
Consider the following example
Index(Dim-id).....Sales document............Sales Item............Accounting document
1......................1233456........................10.......................A123 .......end of record
2......................1233456........................20.......................A123.......end of record
3......................1233456........................30.......................A123.......end of record
Now suppose if you had to remodel the above dimension to move sales item to other dimension, then the dimension would appear as below................................................................................................
Index(Dim-id).....Sales document............Accounting document
1......................1233456.......................A123.......end of record
2......................1233456.......................A123.......end of record
3......................1233456.......................A123.......end of record
Now the problem is for the same combination of sales document and accounting document you should have had 1 row in the dimension, but you are having 3 rows(indexes) hence you are flouting the uniqueness for read and write operations to the dimension.. So logically this shouldnt be allowed...
However if your data in the dimensions is such that the uniquness of each row in the dimension is not disturbed, you could use remodelling.
You can try this in quality.

I am not sure if I have understood your question. But I will still try to answer. If the dimension table has reached the size of the fact table then it is appropriate to consider remodelling.
Also you should consider embedding sales document and accounting document in the same dimension. Since there would be generally only one accounting document each sales document.
Use line item dimensioin as far as possible(restricted by number of characteristics). It reduces one step whie query since SIDs are directly present in fact table.. so you don't have to scan through dimension table.
Also have you considered archiving old dat not reported... It will reduce your dimension as well and improve performance...
3.In case we can make this dimension as Line Dimension what other changes need to be made.
-No other changes.
A safer option is to delete and reload data. Anyway remodelling also recommends a back up...
Its better to create a copy cube and use the copy cube/original cube for reporting until the other cube is getting processed to have minimal time of unreportable data.

Duplicate Files Question - Need Expert Advice . . .

I have completed my transition from PC to Mac and have all of my files running on my MacBook Pro. I have synced my iPod Classic to iTunes and have noticed that when I click on "Music" from the iTunes Library the number of files at the bottom states "1924 files," but when I click on "Music" from the Ipod Library it states "1923 files." I have used the "Find Duplicates" command and checked everything 3 times, but have been unable to solve this problem.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm probably losing my mind over this issue, but could use some advice. Thank you in advance for your help.

The problem is not necessarily a duplicate, since the duplicates in iTunes will sync as duplicates to the iPod.
Most likely there is one song in your iTunes library which, for some reason, will play in iTunes , but will not sync to the iPod. It may have an odd sampling rate or some similar peculiarity. Normally iTunes will give you an error message at the time of syncing, but I know from experience that it does not always.
If you can manually figure out which track is the problem, you can convert it to a more vanilla format, and then it should sync.

Seeking Expert Advice for Voiceover Recording

I am a beginner and have recorded some VOs. I have the basics down (find a room with few parallel surfaces, porous ones like foam are better still, quiet room etc) I think but I was wondering if anyone had any links to more best practices that can make me look an expert. Thanks in advance.

What matters most is SOUNDING like an expert. Obtaining dynamic, strong, clear recordings depends on a lot of factors. Obviously, the environment is important: for voiceovers you'll want an acoustically dead room with no echoes, nor ambient background or external noises. (Things to look for include air conditioners, busy hallways next to or above the recording room, etc.)
You'll want a quality microphone geared for recording voice, probably a good pre-amp, and a quality audio device, quality cables that don't receive interference from power cords, cell phones, etc. You may or may not have a separate mixer, but that will certainly be helpful in allowing your voice talent to hear themselves speak through headphone monitors. You'll often want to run a separate bus to their headphones with a small amount of reverb added to help them distinguish what they're hearing through the headphones from their own voice. You'll also want a pop shield between the speaker and the microphone, and an adjustable microphone stand.
Your talent will probably want to stand, maintaining good posture and an open diaphragm while they speak, and will need to keep a constant distance from the microphone. Give them water or tea, but avoid sticky liquids like fruit juice or soda.
Unless you have a mixer that support monitoring, you won't be able to monitor via software when recording with Soundbooth. If you find yourself wanting to setup a more robust recording environment, I would recommend taking a look at Adobe Audition 3.0. There's a 30-day trial, and you should be able to configure complex setups with live monitoring, real-time effects, and more advanced compression and clean-up tools.

An Error message with CSM, require an expert advice

Dear Experts,
I had some difficulties deploying changes to the IPS as it would give me an error stating PG.IPS.IpsAllowedHosts and something along the lines of require at least one host stated including the CSM address. However the CSM IP address has already been added in the list of allowed hosts on the CSM and it the error is still there!
Has anyone encountered similar issues or have any suggestion as to what could be causing it?
