Expired materials excluded from MRP

Dear All,
Is it possible that expired materials not include in the MRP.i mean if material is expired on requirement date then it should exclude from stock and system should generate its requirement,

Hi,
Sorrowfully there's no such standard settings in SAP - as per my best knowledge. So, you have to use workarounds, e.g. the solution suggested by Dhaval.
Since MRP doesn't consider SLED data of batches you have the following options:
- change the stock type and you have to set MRP not to consider that stock ype (stock type: QI or blocked)
- similarly you can change the status of batches to restricted and exclude this batch status from MRP run
- move the stock to a SLoc that is excluded from MRP
(there might be other solutions as well)
I think you can automize this by user exit / enhancement or you can manage it manually as well because report MB5M will provide you with the list of expired/almost expired goods.
SLED Check in MRP
My SAP skills are very poor concerning APO as well, but it seems SAP APO can handle this problem, please check e.g. note 339576.

  • Sale order exclude from MRP

    one requirement from user
He want to stop future sale order include into MRP
For example sale order delivery date is 31.03.2012
Based on the backward scheduling , planed oder created(lead time is 4 weeks) proerly for the component and Purchase order for raw material
It leads to more inventory,as per the delivery date the sale order should include into MRP on January 2012
My requirement is future sale order should exclude and it include as per the lead time
now they are using NEUPL procesing key for MRP run
they run the MRP run daily

    Hi,
    try with below option
In sales order have field Schedule line category to set CN
    Schedule line category
A classification that distinguishes between different kinds of schedule line. The category determines how the system processes the schedule line.
    Use
The schedule line category determines, for example, whether the system passes on requirements to materials requirements planning (MRP).

  • Storage location to be excluded from MRP Run

    Dear Gurus ,
We are trying to exclude perticular Storage location from MRP Run with the Configuration setting
IMG >>> Production >>>.MRP >>>.Planning >>>>.Define Storage Location  MRP per plant >>>> Indicator 1 is set
Still the Stock is being considered
As I know this can be done thr' MRP4 view , but we don't want to go Part No wise ,
    Suggest better sloution
    Thanx in advance

    Vasu,
Above IMG path is only used  for defulting the storage location exclusion in material master.
Whenever  materials are extended to this storage nlocation in mm01 or mmsc, this defult value would be proposed automatically .
However this does not mean setting it in IMG would change existing materia storage location extensions automatically. Also MRP will not pick from above IMG settings.
Once again above setting is only valid from defulting the values while extending the Materials to storage locations.
    Hope it helps.

    Reply to first SAP user,
    1. Activate mrp for mrp area OM01
    2. Define MRP area OMIZ
This is not clear to me. If you kindly elaborately explain then it will be helpful for me.
    Reply to Mr. Himanshu,
I have already done through OMRI but this is not solved my purpose.
    Reply to Mr. Akil
In your cases, in every material mrp indication has to be set.
My objective: through standard configuration, entire material will be excluded u201C particular storage location u201C on MRP execution.

  • I want to exclude a storage location from MRP

I want to exclude repair storage location from MRP so that the stock with repairs storage location should not be considered for other demands.
Also repair storage location stock should not be calculated against 'stocks'  term in MD04.
How to do this ? Pls share.

    Hi,
In transaction OMIR, choose your plant & then for the storage location you want to exclude from MRP enter 1 (exclude from MRP).
After this setting is maintained, whenever a material is created in this plant & storage location, it will have MRP indicator as "1" in the mrp 4 view .
For materials already in this storage location if the MRP indicator "1" is not maintained in mrp 4 view, please go for a mass change maintenance in the material master & maintain this indicator.
Stock in the excluded storage location will not add up to the stock which is displayed in the top in the md04 screen. This stock will be displayed separately in the bottom of the screen.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • MRP-Exclude STO document type from MRP Run

    Hi,
I want to exclude STO document type from MRP run, so that STO Open qty will not be considered as open qty while  doing MRP.
I have checked below settings but didn't worked.
    1. In OMI8 - I have unchecked "Stock in Transfer"
    2. SPRO->Materials Management->Consumption-based Planning->Planning->Define torage Location MRP per plant
Here I have excluded ONE storage location from MRP and same storage location has been used in the STO.
Can anyone know how to resolve this ?
    Regards,
    Rakesh

    Rakesh,
Yes, they will not be relevant for MRP.  Neither will anything else in that storage location.  However, the setting is not in configuration, but in the material master (MRP4 tab).
The configuration setting you mentioned has no impact on existing material masters, it is only used to determine the default settings for newly created storage location entries for a material/plant..
You can set a particular material/plant/stlocn to be irrelevant for MRP.  This relevancy is irrespective of document type, it can be a STO, a purchase req, a sales order,  a production order, or it could be stock (inventory)  - all supply and demand in this material/plant/stlocn are excluded from MRP processing.
MRP relevancy of storage location is set at the material/plant/storage location level in the material master.
If you do not wish to exclude a storage location from MRP, then you will have to find another way to make your STOs Irrelevant for MRP.  As I said earlier, STOs (like any other Purchase orders that are configured to process stock ), are generally considered to be relevant for MRP.
If you were a client, I would suggest that you rethink your business model that drives this requirement.
If the business model cannot be altered, and the storage location solution is unacceptable, then you will be stuck with a customized solution.

  • Exclude purchase order on storage location from MRP

    Hi Everyone,
We have excluded storage location 1200 from MRP.
The result shows only stock on 1200 excluded from MRP, PO on storage location 1200 (storage location 1200 in PO) still considered in MRP.
Is there any way to exclude PO on 1200 i MRP also?
    Best Regards,
    Bin

    Dear,
Go to MRP 4 view of the material master .
In the field SLoc MRP indicator field "1".
If it is for a material than in the material master level it can be done. If you are looking for all materials in that storage location, than it is better to define this in SPRO->Production->MRP-->Planning-->Define Storage Location per MRP plant. Here for that storage location in that plant you need to define "2" - Storage location stock planned seperately or "1" - Exclude Storage location from MRP.
Also u can use t.code MMSC.
Select Material & Plant and Assign MRP =1 for the Sloc to be excluded

  • Exclude QI stocks from MRP

    Dear Experts,
We have a change requirement where we want to exclude QI stocks from MRP.  That is, exclude QI as available stocks at all areas.  There are a lot of existing stocks for a lot of materials already that are in QI.  Is there any way we can configure MRP to exclude QI stocks?
    Thanks All!

    Manoj,
The only kind of stocks that can be excluded by config from being considered by MRP are
    Stock in Transfer
    Blocked stock
    Restricted use stock (batches)
You can select/deselect these in OPPI
Unfortunately, none of these automatically have a 1 to 1 link with QI stock.  If you performed a transaction to change your QI stocks to one of the above categories, then it could be excluded from MRP.  You also could have some additional options if you are using MRP areas, and all the QI stock is in its own MRP area.
Quality stock can also be excluded from ATP processing, in OVZ9.  However, this has no impact on MRP.
It is generally considered unwise to exclude QI stock from MRP processing unless you know the parts will be rejected as unsuitable.  Any other inspection results will cause MRP to become unstable over time.  Consider the following scenario:
Open PO 100, open SO 100.  MRP is balanced.
Receive the PO into QI stock.  If this stock were made to be unavailable, then you have 0 stock available, and 100 pc open SO.  Next MRP run will determine a shortage, and will generate another purchase req.  Someone may actually convert the PR to a PO and submit to a vendor.
Now, the Quality dept completes their inspection, and the QI stock is transferred to unrestricted and available.  Now we have 100 pcs stock, 100 pcs open PR or PO, and 100 pc rqment for SO.  Next MRP run will determine an overcoverage and will suggest cancellation of the PR/PO.

  • Need to exclude storage location from MRP.

    Hi Gurus,
Is there an option to exclude a specified storage location from MRP at configuration level. But not at material level as in MRP4 view.
We have excluded the stoarge location in config OMIR, however the system considers that stock if the same is not excluded in MRP4 of that material.
Now, the problem is every time i need to go to the material master of every material  i have to excude from MRP, which is very time consuming..!
Please advise me is there any option in point of view of Storage Location,  just simply  define the storage location to be excluded from MRP run.
    Thanks in advance.
    Naveen.

    Dear,
Yes you can do it though OMIR or MMSC 1-Storage location stock excluded from MRP.

  • How to exclude the manually create SAP PO from MRP Run?

    Dear all
There is this situation that due to the long procurement lead time, certain PO is created manually in SAP in advance based on the sales order enquiry made by customer. (In normal case, we will create a sales order in SAP and then run MRP to create PR to converted to PO)
Most of the time, customer will confirm their enquiry so that we can create sales Order in SAP and this will make it just in time for our raw material to arrive. However, when the PO is created in advance without triggered by MRP caused by Sales Order, this PO booked quantity is often taken up by the consideration of MRP RUN by other sales order. And if later customer confirms their enquiry and there is no PO stock for this due to this stock is already considered by other sales order.
Is there a way that I can exclude the manually create SAP PO from MRP Run?
    Please advise.

    Dear Csaba Szommer
    Thanks for your reply.
    Sorry for confusing you.
    1. We are in a MAKE TO ORDER (MTO) environment.
    2. There is this situation that due to the long procurement lead time, certain PO is created manually in SAP in advance based on
the sales order enquiry made by customer. (In normal case, we will create a sales order in SAP and then run MRP to create
        PR to converted to PO).
    3. Most of the time, customer ABCwill confirm their enquiry so that we can create sales Order in SAP and this will make it just in
time for our raw material to arrive.
    4. However, for the PO that is created in advance (not created by PR  triggered by MRP caused by Sales Order), this PO
On Order Quantity is often taken up by the consideration of MRP RUN by other sales orders.
    5. It creates problem that if later this customer ABC confirms his enquiry and we create SAP Sales Order in the system, the
stock of PO created previously is already  eaten up by other sales orders.
We are using MTO and do not use Forecast. And MTO Strategy is set at the material master level and as such I do not think we can simply modify the MRP Strategy to suit this unique case, as for the very same material, in one PO it should be considered by MRP but in another PO, it should be excluded from MRP Run.
Is there a way that I can exclude the manually create SAP PO (for the case of Customer ABC email enquiry without creating Sales Order in the System first) from MRP Run?

  • How to exempt a storage location from MRP run

    Hi all,
How do I exempt a storage location and all its materials from MRP run.
I am creating a new storage location and this should not be considered for MRP and  no idoc should be generated if a purchase order or a delivery is created from this storage location( should we stop entering this storage location in BD64 filters or anything more to prevent triggering of the idoc).
Can somebody please through some light on these issues.

  • Collective Display of Material excluded form MRP

    Experts,
I am looking for a T-code or report which displays the demands for materials which are set to a specific Sloc & excluded from MRP. I can see the demands for a single material in MD04 but I am looking for a way for a collective display e.g. grouped by MRP Ctr or Sloc.
    Thanks in advance
    Jörg

    Hi dear,
U can make use of Transaction code MM60.
After entering plant execute report in the displayed report you can see MRP type column.
Items excluded from MRP will have MRP type as ND (No planning)

  • Deactivation of storage locations from MRP run

    Hi gurus,
How can i deactivate a particular storage location from MRP in a particular plant.
    Regards
    Kaisar

    Hello,
There are 2 ways of doing that.
    1. With the Transaction OMIR and selecting th indicator 1 Storage location stock excluded from MRP
This storage location will be excluded from MRP.
    2. For a Specific Material(s), if you want the Storage location to be excluded from MRP:
You need to select the storage locatio MRP indicator as 1 in MRP4View of the Material.
    Some concerns:
Your Materials are extended to the St.location say xxxx.
Now if you want this storage location to be excluded from the MRP.
By simply seeting the Customization settings will not work.
You need to manually select the MRP4 view and change the St.Loc MRP Indicator to 1.
The Materials created after this customization setting will adopt this settings automatically.
    Hope this helps..

    Siva
