Explain Plan Diff not available yet on Mac ?

Hi,
I followed the Online tutorial for the new Explain Plan Diff feature, however when I right-click the tab of the auto-trace no menu appears at all.
Am I doing something wrong or is this feature not yet available on the Mac version or has it been forgotten ?
I have this version:
Oracle SQL Developer 3.0.02
Version 3.0.02
Build MAIN-02.83
Copyright © 2005,2010 Oracle. All Rights Reserved.
IDE Version: 11.1.1.4.37.58.80
Product ID: oracle.sqldeveloper
Product Version: 11.1.2.02.83
jdk 1.6.0_22
thanks, Arjan

Although I don't have a native Mac or Linux environment to test this, the context menus for the various worksheet tabs (Query Results / Autotrace / Explain Plan) have problems. I tried the following using a fresh install of SQL Dev 3.0 EA2 (including JRE 1.6.0_11):
1) VNC between two Windows XP boxes. Context menus work fine.
2) VNC (RealVNC 4.1.3 or TightVNC 2.0.2 clients) from Windows XP to Linux (Xvnc 4.0). Context menus do not appear.
3) Tarantella (Sun Secure Global Desktop Native Client [4.31.953]) from Windows XP to Linux. Context menus do not appear.
Finally, I tried the SQL Dev 2.1.1.64.65 on the OTN Developer Days image (OEL 5) under Sun Virtual Box on my XP box. No context menus.

it would be better to direct that question to Gary Loftis, since my MacBook Pro doesn’t have a Thunderbolt port.

  • Why ebooks on ibooks is not available yet in philippines

why ebooks on ibooks is not available yet in philippines

Apple can sell things where the content providers have given them licenses to sell them - so if the book publishers haven't given them licenses to sell their ibooks in the Philippines then Apple can't sell them there.
Until if/when the book publishers grant Apple licenses, do you have access to other ebook apps/stores that you can use instead ?

  • Some Apps are not available yet.

Majority of the important apps are not available yet for Q5.  Any updates on when this will be available. Like Viber and WeChat. WeChat is already available and it says that it's compatible with OS 10 but why is it unavailable for the Q5 in specific? Isn't Q5 running on OS10 too!?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
App compatibility is the same as it has always been for BBs. All apps must be specifically ported to the exact device model number AND major OS level in order to function. That means a lot of porting for the developers, and sometimes they choose to not do so. An app that functions on Z10, for example, will not function on the Q5 unless the developer specifically ports the app for the Q5 (and pushes it correctly out via BBWorld).
Likewise, it's up to those app developers to choose what platforms they desire to support. If they do not support a platform that you desire, your channel to push for it is with the developer directly, contact information for which can normally be obtained in the BBWorld catalog.
    Good luck!

  • Cannot get timers because the EJBTimerManager is not available yet.

WLS 12.1.3 installation on Win Server 2012.
One cluster of two managed servers.
A web application has a ServletContextListener, used to create some EJB timers as soon as it gets deployed. The timers are clustered (their state is persisted in an Oracle DB).
When I restart the managed servers, I get the following exception:
2015-03-17 16:39:20,396 [[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] ERROR - [clusterServer_1] java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot get timers because the EJBTimerManager is not available yet.

         at weblogic.ejb.container.internal.TimerServiceImpl.getTimers(TimerServiceImpl.java:187)
If I undeploy and redeploy the web application without restarting the server, the exception is not raised and the timers are created.
I tried to assign the web application a higher distribution order, to let it start after all the others have been started, but no way.
    Any suggestion ?
    Thanks

    Some viruses cause this behaviour.
usually they change registry path to userinit.exe, winlogon.exe  and logonui.exe and change these filies.
Seems like you'll have to clean this by antivirus tools.
For now try booting in safe mode and entering Administrator account with blank password.
Also try pressing twice Ctrl+Alt+Del on logon screen and use logon name Administrator and blank password.

Keensy I have requested a member of our support team contact you directly via telephone.  Once I was able to review the correct account it appears our support team has tried multiple times to contact you.  I would recommend checking your SPAM filtering in case you need to receive additional messages from our support team.
I did request that you be contacted via telephone. I am sorry for all of the difficulties which you have faced.
For future viewers of this discussion when contacting our support team at Contact Customer Care it is imperative that you be logged in under the account tied to your membership/subscription.  While there is cancelation options available you will have an increased chance of being offered an opportunity to contact our support team if your account entitlement can be verified.  For this to be done you will need to be signed into the same account as your membership/subscription/registered software title.

  • I want to buy an i pad with wifi and 4G in Hong Kong but 4G not available yet. Why is this?

Do you need 4G in Hong Kong and how come its not available yet. Will it work with the mobile services available here? Does anyone have any info on this?

This 4G business (Like anything else), is being hyped like crazy. In the UK we do not have proper 4G yet , however the new iPad works just fine on 3G. Think of it this way the faster you download data the quicker yo'll get through your quota of data. Even if 4G was available now I could bet bet you the tariffs wouldn't change much, making it very expensive. Personally as yet, I couldnt give a monkies about 4G as we have so many free Wifi spot here.. And I know you do in Hong Kong too as I was living out there last year!
Hong Kong tip: try the burger bars, coffee shops and shopping malls for free wifi. In addition HK telecoms companies usually offer free wifi for at least 60 days before you are committed to a contract (something I've not seen in UK)!

  • Explain plan does not say anything about partition

    Hello,
We have Oracle 11g database. And we have range partitioned a table. Now when I see explain plans for queries sometimes it says PARTITION RANGE ALL (when no filter), Some times PARTITION RANGE ITERATOR or PARTITION RANGE SINGLE or PARTITION RANGE JOIN FILTER etc. But sometimes it does not say any thing about partition.
Is the partition pruning being used? Since my understanding is that table is no more a monolithic sort of, but sort of table now has many tables for each partition.
So option is either scan all partition i.e display PARTITION RANGE ALL or scan some partitions, and display it in explain plan.
Am I thinking in wrong direction?
    Please let me know.
    Thank you,

The only thing to do that makes sense is to back up all your data, erase the boot drive, reinstall and update the OS, then restore only your documents from backup and reinstall your third-party software from known-good copies.
Sadly, this is not practical at the current time. She is away from home, in a place with modem-speed internet access, without access to install media or her backups (which are on a hard drive at home.) I was able to operate on her machine by sshing in, and I did the best I could to remove the crap. The rest will have to wait until she gets back.
Here is something I found by googling:
    http://nnrpanel.com/offlineAU.htm
Thank you, I will try them. I doubt they will know anything (since there are no Mac instructions on that page) but maybe they can at least send me to the US center. I have tried the US Nielsen Ratings contact form, three times now, but it appears that either they don't read it or they don't respond to it. It also has a maximum message size of about 250 characters.
I wonder if it may be related to one of those make money at home - be a secret shopper - review products at your leaisure and make a ton of moneydeals.
I would tend to doubt it, if only because they are clearly quite effective (or nobody would be running those ads) and yet nobody has reported this anywhere else that I can find.
I'm going to send some emails and see if I can find someone who knows something.

  • Is there a central note available yet for Upgrading to NW 7 EHP 5?

    Hi all,
I'm trying to find out if there is a central note available for upgrading to NW 7 EHP5.
I have note 1299009 which is the central note for upgrading to NW 7 EHP 2 but I'm trying to find one for EHP 5 specifically (if it exists at all).
The reason I'm keen to find this is because note 1299009 refers to downloading various software patches and fixes before starting your upgrade and it tells you the versons of the files you need, but it is specific to EHP2 and its not at all obvious which files to use if you are going to EHP 5 (or does it even matter?).
For example, you need to download the latest patch for SAPup. The oss note mentione for EHP 2 to use the 7.02 version.  Logically it would follow that there might be a 7.05 one for EHP5? No there isn't, you just get 7.00, 7.01, 7.02, 7.10, 7.11 and 7.30 - how do you know which to use for EHP 5? (or is it just 7.02 still?).  The current version of SAPup that comes on the DVD is 7.00/3.  Hopefully you can see why I am confused.
The same is true for the correction needed for the upgrade package. The suggested one in the note refers to FIX_ NW02.UPG. On OSS the availble ones are the same as above (nothing with a 5!).
    Any help appreciated.
    Regards
    Claire
Edited by: Claire  Richards on Dec 15, 2011 12:23 PM

    Dear Claire,
Let me clarify your doubts here.
There is no EHP5 for NW 7.0 yet. Its EHP5 for ECC 6.0 which brings in NW 7.00 EHP2 along.
ECC 6.0 uses NW 7.0 architecture and also note that NetWeaver 7.0 is also available as a independent product.
Now if you are having NW 7.0 as your product version then you need to apply EHP2 of NW on it to be on 702 release.
But if you are having ECC 6.0 as your product version then you need to apply EHP5 of ECC on it to be on 702 release which would also make 605 release for all other application components.
For ECC 6.0 EHP5 kindly refer the following SAP Notes:
1302772 - Central Note - SAP Enhancement Package Installer 7.00
1298878 - Installation of SAP Enhancement Package 5 on SAP ERP 6.0
I hope i could clarify your doubts.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

  • Explain plan--Object not found error

    Hi All,
I want to use 'explain plan' to optimise the query.
How do i see the explain plan in toad.
    when i say
    explain plan set statement_id='XX' for select stmt;
    select * from explain plan
    where statement_id='XX';
    iam geeting object not found
what parameters i need to set up before using explain plan
    Please give me details.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.

This should have been in TOAD Forum :-)).. Anyway,
You need to set the plan table name in view->Options->Oracle. If the specified plan table doesnt exist, create the plan table

  • Explain plans differ:  same query, cloned databases.

    oracle 10.2.0.2.0

    Any ideas?

same query, different databases (cloned from same source), different explain plans.
    db parameters are identical.
    DB1 (production)
    | Id  | Operation                         | Name             | Rows  | Bytes |TempSpc| Cost (%CPU)| Time     |
    |   0 | SELECT STATEMENT                  |                  |   113K|    49M|       |  2926   (1)| 00:00:41 |DB2 (staging)
    | Id  | Operation                         | Name             | Rows  | Bytes | Cost (%CPU)| Time     |
    |   0 | SELECT STATEMENT                  |                  |   145 | 68150 |   401   (1)| 00:00:06 |
If you check the execution plans it's quite obvious that the two environments can not be identical. If you have the same (amount of) data, then one of the two estimates is way off. Which one is in the right ballpark, how many rows are returned by the query? The same applies to the remaining operation ids of the plan, which estimate is correct?
It's very likely that the underlying table/index statistics are not the same, and therefore you get different plans.
By the way, you're using bind variables, therefore the output of the EXPLAIN PLAN is only of limited use, since the actual plan at run time might be completely different due to bind variable peeking and potentially histograms created on some of the columns (which is the default in 10g due to the "FOR ALL COLUMNS SIZE AUTO" method_opt default parameter value).
If you haven't disabled the pre-configured statistics collection job that runs every night in 10g, you might get different statistics due to this job already.

  • TC not available for one mac

One office mac lost connection to TC, was working fine for quite some time. TC is not available for TM BU and AP utility does not see the device. But TC is & has been working fine for other wired macs and wireless MBP's. Read the threads and can't find any advice. Thanks in advance!

Power down the computer and temporarily connect an ethernet cable from the computer to one of the LAN ports on the TC. Start up the computer and open AirPort Utility to see if it can "see" the TC now.
To get backups restarted again, try the following:
Power down the Time Capsule and wait a few moments, then power it back up.
Now click System Preferences and select Time Machine.
Choose Change Disk and click your Time Capsule to highlight it
    Click Use For Backups.
Backups should continue where they left off

  • Infinity not available yet cabinet and neighbours ...

    Hello,
I would love to have Fibre - however the online checkers tell me that it is not available in my area. However I have received flyers from Openreach telling me that FTTP is available at my address and my neighbours are currently using Fibre.
According to this checker (http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.address) my address comes up with the following:

Yet if I type in a neighbours address either side of me, I see this:

We are both served by the same cabinet yet I cannot gain fibre - why could this be? (We are not in a flat).
I've contacted BT and our current provider TalkTalk - but I just get passed around or they run the same check and tell me it's not available in my area. The advice seems to be to wait indefinetely - however it feels like there could be an error somewhere - how can I figure out what's going on - other than moving?
Any help appericated! I'm more than happy to move to any provider that can help!
    Thanks,
    Andrew Murray

Your current copper DP may not have had the facility to have fibre. This would envolve getting a blown fibre tubing attached adjacent to the copper DP.
Reasons for this could be that there was no ductwork available as the existing copper cable could be direct in the ground.
There could also be other issues that your copper DP is attached to a electricity pole and it is not possible to feed fibre from these.

    Hi,
This will only be available if you have installed the add-on component WFMCORE. Please check if you have this or not.

  • I purchased some songs on my mac book air and they are not available on my Mac even after some days and running Match

    Hi,
I purchased some songs on iTunes using my mac book air. I tried to play them some days later on my Mac but are not available. I tried updating /  running Match no joy.
    any ideas?
    thanks,
    Kim Johnson

Thanks for the response. That was helpful. However, I still want to know why did the songs I purchased yesterday appear on my IPod for downloading but the those I purchased today did not? After you rassistance I went to settings and turned on automatic downloading for my ipod. So if it wasn't enabled yesterday, how was I able to see the purchases I made yesterday on my computer on the ipod and then download them to the ipod? That is what I expected to see today but all I was seeing were the songs I purchased yesterday and not the ones I did today.
