I´m currently looking for addtl. explanations / information regarding the "show logging onboard module" command which provides an output like this:

Can anyone provide me some more information what each line is trying to say me and what might be a possible reason / cause for this?

As explained by Galen, these are FC primitive sequences which are exchanged when link comes up or goes down. Here is more information.
Primitive Sequence - NOS
Not Operational Sequence
Transmitted by the Port to indicate that Link Failure had been detected
Loss of Sync

Offline Sequence

If you can create a synonym on more than 30 char., you cannot use it on more than 30 char :

Can anybody help me with the name of the tables and the joining condition for iBASE, Counter and pricing agreement tables.
Say, I have only service contract number and GUID, to start with.
I'm looking for counter id and the reading, from iBASE. Then, using the pricing agreement, I want to convert the volume to an amount.

Asks for a package name

Hi,
Everytime I am creating something the system is asking for a package name with default value of $TMP. Is it okay to use them as local objects? This is a new BI7 system and Standard transport connection is switched on. Please let me know if you have any idea/explanation/solution for this.

Hi BM,
you can group the different objects you create/modify in different packages (development classes). This is the definition of SAP Help for packages: Packages extend the concept of development classes to improve modularization, encapsulation, and decoupling in the SAP System..
For sure you are fine to create the objects as local objects in the package $TMP. However be aware that you have to change the package for all objects you want to transport to other systems (you can change the package for the relevant objects at the time you do the transport as well as described over [here|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/0b/5ee7377a98c17fe10000009b38f842/content.htm]).
That means if you are planning to transport the objects to other systems you can enter a specific package for the objects right at the time of creating the objects. This way you will be faster at the time transporting the objects.
You can create packages using the t-code se80 in the repository browser / "package".

Getting run time error for multiple counter plan

Hi Friends,
Its very critical issue,wherein i am getting run time error for multiple counter plan.
Explanation:While try to change the Call horizon or scheduling period of the counter based plan through IP42 or IP15,systam allowing me to change the data but while saving also i am getting "Maintenance plan has changed" message and once come to the back of the transaction instantly i am getting pop up window saying that "Express document get terminated".However we have been maintaining copy of this data in another client wherein we are not getting any Run time error.
Please find the screen shots for your reference and please let me know how to fix the issue.

NI 6343 Internal DI Sample Clock counter name text string?

I need to add a frequency test to my remote site (remote debug). Could someone tell me the text string as counter name for NI 6343 Internal DI Sample Clock? Thanks.

Does your remote computer have MAX installed? This is the easiest way to see what the device alias is.
You can always just try Dev1 and see if it works. This is the default when the very first device is added to a system.
If you can deploy code to the remote system, you can also use the DevNames property of the System Node from the DAQmx System Setup palette. This will show you all of the names of the devices in the system and you should see your device there.

Variable subsitution for target file names

Hi All,
I am using variable subsitution for dynamic file names. I am using the multimapping for multiple files in the target.So i coluld not able to use the dynamic configuration for file names. Now i want to replace all the spaces in the filename to underscore.
For example
My payload filed value "file name in the target file".
Now my filename "file_name_in_the_target_file".
How to achieve this using Variable subsitution.

Limitation on column characters for a field name in a view ?

Is there any limitation for a column name in a view ?
e.g create or replace view testing as
select to_char(to_date(must_have_field1 , 'dd/mm/yyyy') , 'dd-mon-yyyy')
gives me an error until i put an ailias

1. is it due to the column name too long or an alias is a MUST for a view ?

Yes, since you are using an expression, you need to give a valid identifier for the expression.

How to look for the Table Name

If you want to see the structures then go to SE11. Sometimes it happens that you cannot find the table names but only fields. In such case, if you want to find the Table names which is not available, then go to SE90.
Abap Dictionary > Fields > Table Fields.
Now Enter the Field name in Right Hand Side of the screen then Execute. You will see the all tables by which that Fields are used.

So is there any possibility to start the PWM measurement at a special PWM-voltage level?
Or could I at, in front of the Counter an AnalogIn and generate there a fast (< 1?s?) RTSI signal for the counter?

Multiple drag emails from Mail to a finder window and for it to name the files as the subject heading

I have been using Mac's now for about 10 years and this is my first problem.
I have recently moved into an office that use PC's with a Windows server.
I have set up the network to transfer files and view the windows server and it works fine.
I have a problem in that my colleagues on PC need to be able to view my emails which I send and receive using Mail. They therefore need to have logical title names and the date sent and ideally who to or from. I view them and archive them using Mail which is fine for me.
I understand about the archiving and copying of mailboxes but this gives every email the un-fathomable title name 9944847 etc.
I can get round the problem by dragging and dropping every email I send and receive individually and it will automatically give it a more logical title of the subject heading however the date is when it was dragged not when sent. This is a pain if I am away or forget to save an email for a day or two and then the date is inconsistent.
Is there a way to batch copy emails from Mail to a finder window and for it to name the files as the subject heading or to archive the files in a similar way so they retain the detailed information my colleagues require.
And no I can not get to all change to Mac and I don't really fancy using Outlook, Entourage or Parallels.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click the text on the line below to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Envelope Index
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Move the selected file to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have names that begin with "Envelope Index". Move those files, if any, to the Trash. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is corrupt and that Mail has to quit. Click OK.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the file you moved to the Desktop. If you get a warning that the file is in use when you try to empty the Trash, log out and log back in.

No, you should have Restrictions OFF.
Computer's iTunes > Preferences > Parental Preferences > everything should be unchecked.
Are the songs also on computer's iTunes?

The sales person told me how easy this would be to set up..."just plug it in" he said...right. Anyhoo - I disconnected my ancient wireless router and put the cd in - started doing its thing and then it asks for a router name and password...the only name and password I have is from my old ancient router...how could it be the same? Just go to the Linksys support site, find your router model and hardware version there, and download the User Guide or User Manual for your router, and there's all kinds of useful information there. I'm surprised that there isn't a "Quick Start" guide in with the router that gives basic instructions like go to 192.168.1.1 and then how to login to set up your router. But it is in the downloaded user manual for sure.

Resetting a for loop counter and restarting the computation

I have a while loop nested inside a for loop to do a calculation of a model.
Lets say I am on the for loop counter 4. Suppose I wanted to keep track of the number of iterations on one the while loop, and if it exceeded a certain number say 100, exit the while loop. I am doing this to avoid my model calculation being stuck at a spot due to optimization issues. I now want to restart the calculations of for loop counter 4.
Is there a way to do this in labview?

Well first of all, if you are going to restart the loop with the same program inside it after it got stuck is it not just going to get stuck again creating a permanent loop in the code? Would you not just want to move on and have some sort of identifier that one of the for-loops got stuck?
But I would recommend simply nesting your while-loop inside of another while loop, then connect the exit for the out while-loop to some variable from the inner while-loop, so if the optimization did not occur properly then it simply repeats the inner while-loop.
Although I stick by my thoughts that you will just end up in a permanent loop if the optimization fails the first time.
