G505s keeps restarting randomly
Before it does it again.... I've updated BIOS, bought an under-cooling fan platform, checked the cpu apu temps, uninstalled unused software, run ESET NOD 32 and found no viruses, raised the back for better ventilation, and IT STILL KEEPS RESTARTING RANDOMLY no matter what I'm trying to run. I'm running Windows 8.1 and every driver is up to date. Nothing exotic is plugged in. I've tried rebooting without anything plugged in. I've run all of the lenovo diagnostic software -- they all report everything is fine. I uninstalled any software I recently installed in the last month to see if it would stop the problem -- no luck. I have to end this quick before it restarts again. PLEASE HELP! --mikkimbru
Ok... Down to some basic troubleshsooting questions - bear with me on this...
1. Did you attempt to reset the notebook BIOS by removing the battery and AC power then pressing the power button for thirty seconds?
2. Did you try removing memory modules one at a time to see if one is going bad?
3. Did you attempt to remove the hard drive, boot from Linux Live CD or USB?
4. Have you been running on AC power without battery installed - suffered same failure?
I have seen this type of behavior with bad memory sticks, or a hard disk that is failing (drive circutry vs. HDD secotors). lastly - if the BIOS was corrupted would also be an issue requireing attention.
What I would do - remove battery and AC adapter, press and hold power button for 30 seconds. Insert battery, attach AC power and boot. If this regains working sytem, download and run Process Explorer to figure out what the running SVCHOST instances are connected to.
If BIOS reset fails to work, turn off computer remove battery and AC power. Access memory location (bottom access plate) and remove all memory sticks. If you have two installed this is a good way to test for issues. Boot computer without memory - if it beeps, or shows error message stating no memory installed we are in good shape. Insert one stick of memory into the first available slot and see if it is stable. If you have two memory sticks repeat this process with stick two - replacing stick one. If computer boots and is stable with both sticks in slot one, repeat using slot two. If one or more sticks does not work in slot two - then is an issue with the system board, and if under warranty have service center replace system board.
Once memory has been excluded from situation, try removing the hard drive and using a USB dock or adapter to test it on another computer. If it reads without errors, passes all tests (from manufacture) then try booting your notebook from CD/DVD using Linux "live" distro disk. If works, then may be issue with hard drive controller timing out or HDD integrated electronics failing with overheat condition or "soft solder" that expands when warm.
If all these steps fail to produce a stable system - there maybe issues with the sytem board that fail under heat stress. This might be from "silver threading" or a small crack in the board or in the system attached boards.
Either way - I hope that I have given you some things to look for.
Good luck. -
Explorer.exe keeps crashing
Firstly, apologies if I am posting at a wrong thread or if a thread is already existing with this issue.
Issues:
Explorer.exe keeps crashing after I installed an addin on my outlook 2007. The same Outlook addin on another computer with same Windows 7 does not cause the explorer.exe to crash. I have captured crash dumps and I see the following:

ThanksHi,
Firstly, using !analyze -v command to generate a results of this crash events. We can see
Attempt to read from address 00000177e1f4dbf8, then using !address command to check this address information:

Here we should remember the end address and region address. Then using !address command to displays information about the whole address space. After that, check above address around process if there is any program that may caused the crash.

Explorer.exe keeps crashing after update to 8.1 from 8
After updating to the 8.1 explorer.exe keeps crashing, no solution found online for the problem...only clue I get is very clear and obvious message in event log:

really helpful. Cannot understand why Microsoft were pushing me to update from poorly performing windows 8 to complete nuisance windows 8.1. My hardly earned money were spent on a product that causes me massive headache.
Unfortunately Microsoft does not allow me to post the link to skydrive where I keep the dmp fo review. Another great gift from them.0:050> lmvm rse

My iPad mini keeps restarting randomly all the time
My iPad mini keeps restarting randomly all the time, I already restored it to manufacturer settings, help! This started about a week ago, and I can't take it to Apple because I got this Christmas 2012. I already reset it all, and it still keeps restarting.
I had the same problem. I ended up restoring to the factory settings using the method:
1. connect usb to computer
2. hold down home button and connect cord to ipad...continue holding down home key until connect to itunes appears on screen, then release
3. restore to factory settings
I lost all my pictures and data, but the ipad works again. Such a pain! Not happy about this at all! -
Windows 8 explorer.exe keeps crashing and I can't use Windows update as a result!
I've got Windows 8 64-bit, and it's been running fine for about 2 months now. Just today, it's started to crash the desktop every 6 seconds. The screen goes purple (which I'm pretty sure is just my chosen background colour), the outline of the taskbar remains,
but all the icons disappear, and then everything returns, only to crash again in another 6 seconds. I've watched the task manager, and under "background processes", an icon called "Windows Problem Reporting" appears for about a second,
and then goes away.
I've looked up some other people's questions about this, and most people seem to recommend checking for updates, or installing new graphics drivers, but this is not an option for me. Whenever the desktop crashes, it shuts down control panel as well. This
means I can't start my computer in safe mode, I can't check for updates, I can't uninstall/update drivers, I basically can't make any changes to my computer! Even as I'm writing this message, the cursor keeps disappearing from the test box whenever the desktop
crashes, and I have to click on the screen every 6 seconds. ARGH!I crash is caused by the Intel driver:

So update the driver or use ShellExView to disable the Intel shell extension.
The second crash looks like a corrupted shel32.dll on the HDD:

Sapmmc - jstart.exe keeps restarting, switching between green and yellow
Hi Friends,
I installed the SAP core server ( as part of SAP convergent charging) , but jstart.exe and dispatcher-1 process in sapmmc are noticed keep switching between yellow and green. when the jstart.exe turns green (all process running) , dispatcher-1 turns yellow (waiting to start) and when dispatcher-1 turns green (restart-yes) , jstart.exe turns yellow (some processes running). Only for a small duration , they both remain green (may be during transition).
Trace File is as below: Iam not sure as what is missing here to be installed, as it is complaining about JEE directory in

Import the SAP profiles in SAP transaction RZ10: Utilities - Import profiles - of Active Server
OR
Check what messages do you have in jvm_server0.out, dev_server0.out and bootstrap traces,
also have a look at the note 142100.
The first problem is that in the SCS instance there are no running enqueue server as its starting line have no line break at the end in the start profile. Without this NT cannot parse the line. After adding the line break the enqueue server could start.
The second problem is that in the global dispatcher configuration for the LockingManager the en.port was set to 3201 instead of 3200 (which is correct as the SCS instance has the intance number 00).
After correcting these problems the J2EE engine could be started fine.

I've just purchased this iPod Touch. I would turn on my ipod touch 4g, 8gig. Then I would play my music.. While playing it, it would continuously restart, and make some buzz noize. Charging it is a hassle too. Even right now for some reason it keeps charging, and un charging, charging, and un charging, repeatedly
What should I do? I can turn my music on right now, set it to autoplay, and it will continue to throw itself into the restart screen, and restart. Please help, thank you.):

Explorer.exe Keeps fatally shut down PC
Right, here's the deal, running a Medion w/ p3 2.66ghz Pentium for 6 yrs. no prob. Comcast upgrades its service now IE6 wont work right. I update to IE8 (cause 7 sucks) got all issues there corrected, only now I can't access my 2nd. Hard drive (mp3 library) without it locking up windows explorer and crashing the system. When I restart the 2nd. HD does not get recognized in the bios & the system will not boot. I've got the original 120gb hard drive (C) & The 7 Mo. old 300gb secondary drive w/ a 250w power supply. So what is the problem, IE8, Windows XP service pack3, power supply or 2nd. HD (Western Digital, & this has only occured since software OS upgrades) Thank to anyone that can HELP!
Im not sure if they ceased updates for IE6 but you might have a security vunlerability that could of compromised your machine and did something to it. Nonetheless, the Malicious Software Removal Tool from Microsoft ran from Windows Update should have caught this at the time.

No one is paid to participate here, but rather does so out of the kindness of their heart. As such, it is customary to wait 24 hours before "bumping" your thread to try and re-gain attention.
Nevertheless...from what you describe, this is a problem with WhatsApp itself...and you would need to contact the developer for support of their app.
But, have you tried the basics yet? As in, removing, rebooting, and reinstalling the app?
Good luck and let us know!

Iphone keeps restarting randomly
When i use my iphone sometime it randomly has to reboot or restart. This is very annoying because it takes about 30 seconds to reboot and also because i will miss my calls and messages. Does anyone know why this has started happening and how i can fix it?
Take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

After Update my phone keeps restarting randomly - noticably on facebook App
Hi All,
I dont knwo whether this is a generic problem after readin other peoples posts about there phone restarting but EVER since i updated to the new OS my iphone jsut freezes and restarts when i sue any applications. this does not ahppen all the time but i would say a 90% off the time it does notibly when i use facebook.
this has made my phone somewhat un usable. I ahve restored the iphone to factory settings believing that woudl help but it comes to no avail.
I am inclined to think it is somehting to do with the new OS?
Any ideas to help fix this issue?.....Hi and Welcome to the Community! Refer:Article ID: KB36747 All data is deleted following a manual restart of the BlackBerry 10 smartphone and a blue LED is displayed during boot upIf that does not work, then the most common thing to do after an update that results in issues is to perform an OS reload. Sometimes, the update processes have errors and such...with a reload often curing the issues. The official methods, which will be controlled as to what exact OS versions you are offered:http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-Functions-and/How-to-Reload-your-Blackberry10-O...The unofficial methods, which are cleaner, and allow you to choose an OS version that perhaps your carrier (or whoever it is controlling your offers) has been slow to approve:http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-leaked-beta-os-f395/bb10-os-archive-943672/Of course, before you start any of this you will want a good backup via LINK, a manual copy of your Device Memory to your PC, and full documentation of your configuration (account credentials, added apps, configurations, etc.). Sometimes, restoring from a backup returns to the device the very corruption one needs to eliminate, and reconfiguring from scratch can resolve that. Good luck!
