Export 3D PDF out of Photoshop Extended

Hello everybody,
I'm just looking for an solution to export or save a photoshop 3D object in a PDF file.
I tried to use Acrobat Pro Extended for importing *.obj and *.u3d files exported from photoshop but unfortunatelly not all parts are imported. For example bump map is missing, reflection map is missing, ect. I think the only layer which is imported is the color layer.
Or in a short and easy way: I cannot creat a PDF which looks exactly the same than the psd.
Is there a way or what do I need to do to get the psd 1:1 imported in a 3d PDF?
Thank you very much
Regards Dominic

This ma be the problem
Acrobat Pro can create 3D PDFs but only from U3D ECMA 1 files
Since there is a choice you may have select ECMA3 instead of one?

  • Exporting PDF's from Photoshop - Low quality / messed up image in Acrobat

Hi guys, I am having this problem for quite some time now and i can't figure it out.
So i have created a portfolio design in Photoshop, and now i want to export that out of Photoshop into images / pdf  combining all the files into one PDF
The problem i have is that the output from Photoshop when it gets into Acrobat, has all kinds of artifacts and different (low) image quality.
I have used all the presets from the "save as pdf" menu in Photoshop as well as exporting as png's or jpegs and creating pdf from Acrobat.
Is this a rendering bug from Acrobat ? When i zoom enough, the problem disappears.
Should i use a specific option / preset when i export from Photoshop ?
    Thanks.

Try turning off Compression and Color Conversion when saving the PDF out of Photoshop.

  • InDesign export as PDF shrinks!

    Hi,
When I created an InDesign document (career survey for students to take), then exported as PDF, the PDF shows the document shrunk -- the print and pictures are smaller.  This does not happen for my other InDesign documents exported to PDF format.
What is happening?  How can I fix this?  I need the PDF the same size as the document because the students need the larger print to read.
    JoAnn

When you export a pdf out from InDesign it will never change the size (dimensions). But what might happen is that they are resized upon printing. Take care that in the print dialog from Acrobat is scaling set to None.
You might want to set the print setting in the pdf  file properties so that no one will print it accidently scaled.

  • Export a PDF and convert the vector-graphics to pixel-graphics

    Hey,
i want to export a PDF out of indesign CS3 and convert all vector-graphics to pixel-graphics.
Is there any solution, maybe a plugin, to do this?
    Thanks!!!!

You could apply a transparency effect to your vector objects that doesn't effect their appearance and make a flattener preset which forces everything to rasters—then export a flattened PDF using that preset. Why do need rasters?

  • Images saved out of PS Extended showing up as placeholders in clients' e-mails

I have been having a problem saving images out of PhotoShop Extended (Mac) and sending them to clients or uploading them for clients to grab from web. They are showing up as placeholders only. I think this is just happening for clients using Windows e-mail and browsers but, since ALL of them do, I have to solve the issue.
By the way, I can save out of FW not have the same problem. However, I have to fix this. I am using PhotoShop all the time.
    Help and thanks.

No. Not zipping files under 2MB. Just attaching "Windows Friendly" versions. They appear as little boxes with the red "x". I know prior to upgrading, I sent tif, eps, and jpg. Is it possible something has changed with CS3?
It's interesting that it's not just an e-mail problem. I can upload to my server and see the images perfectly in my browsers but the same customers see the same little box with the X.
As I mentioned, saving out of Firefox seems to be OK but is sure isn't convenient.
    Any other ideas? Do appreciate.

  • "Viewing PDF After Exporting" is grayed out!

I am using Adobe Design Premium CS5 (specifically Adobe InDesign).  When setting up a new PDF preset, I have selected for compatabilty Acrobat 8/9.  The problem I am having is that the selection for "View PDF after Exporting" is grayed out.  What can I do to get it usable?

Thank you for responding so quickly.  The tech team here at school moved all my files and programs to another drive, in the process they lost all my preferences, PDF presets, and more.  So I am trying from memory to reconstruct all the tweeking I have done in PHotoshop and InDesign over the last two years - and I am not doing so well.  In the past I have had the ability to select "Viewing PDF after Exporting".
As for restoring the preferences - that is out of my league and will have to suggest that to the tech team.

  • Colors are printing incorrectly when exported to PDF but print fine from InDeisgn and Photoshop

Documents I create in Photoshop and InDesign and export to PDF print in different/wrong colors. The colors are fine when printed directly from Photoshop or InDesign, they look correct when viewing the PDF, but change when printed from the PDF (specifically blues print as purple). How do I fix this?

This really sounds like a color management issue.
How are you creating the PDF files from InDesign or Photoshop? We recommend using the PDF/X-4 settings for proper printing from Acrobat or any direct PDF RIP/printer.
Also would like to know what type of printer you are printing to.

  • Why does my high res photoshop image appear blurry when placed in InDesign and Exported as PDF?

    Hi there,
I have a problem I've been trying to solve for days but just can't find the answer anywhere on the internet.
I have a large, good quality photoshop file (2268 x 979 pixels, resolution 300 pixels per inch). When I place it into InDesign, the image appears OK (I've changed my display settings to HIGH) - I then resize it in InDesign to 10% and the file still looks great! Then, when I export it as PDF (high quality print) it looks blurry.
Does anybody know why? The strangest thing is, I've placed other photoshop images in the same InDesign file and they look crystal clear. It is just this one I am having trouble with. I've saved it in the same folder as the other pictures, I've tried placing it as psd. , jpg. , photoshop pdf, png. everything...
The image looks great in both photoshop and indesign, only when exported as pdf it looks awful.
Any help will be greatly appreciated,
    Many thanks in advance!
    Weronika

It's probably the extreme reduction -- you're throwing away 90% of the image pixels and interpolating, and then using jpeg compression on top.

  • Problem filling out a form exported from pdf to docx.

I "successfully" exported a pdf form to word docx.  The form looks exactly like the original.  However, when I attempt to fill in the blanks (which are large)  the text gets dropped in vertically e.g.  first name la
st name (on a lower line).  I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.  Filling out this form is urgent, and the only reason I purchased this program.  Any advice will be appreciated.

    Hi Catherine,
    I'd like to assist!
The file may have converted as an image, possibly due to poor quality.
Are you able to bring the words together by utilizing your 'back' key?
Let me know how it goes if you try converting it again.
    Kind regards, Stacy

  • Export from PDF to Excel continually times out and fails.

I went through the steps to convert a PDF to Excel turning off the OCR feature. Tried this several times today with or without OCR and I keep getting the error message "Adobe ExportPDF could not successfully export your PDF file (file name).pdf. The conversion of your uploaded PDF timed out."
I don't think I'm doing anything wrong as there are not too many steps to follow.
If I can't get this to do  what is expected (which is convert a .pdf to an Excel file) then I will have to cancel the subscription. I just did sign up for a paid subscription to Adobe ExportPDF. There are others in my department (45 total) who would benefit from having a .pdf to Excel file converter and I have volunteered to become the "beta tester" for this.
If anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening, I'd sure love to hear them.

You are not talking about Acrobat, but ExportPDF. Check for the separate forum on that by simply selecting the Adobe Community link near the top of this forum and in the drop down box select ExportPDF.

  • Why are the adobe pdf presets grayed out in photoshop?

Why are the adobe pdf presets grayed out in photoshop? I'm trying to save an image to "Press Quality" as a pdf and the settings are grayed out.

Maybe a screenshot of your Photoshop working area with the image opened, image tab and the layer panels showing might give us an idea. I can't guarantee that I can help, but someone might be familiar with the situation.
Also a screenshot of the Save as Adobe PDF and the PDF settings dialog as separate shots would also help as well. That way we see what you see.

  • Photoshop Extended Histogram Export

I am looking at purchasing a copy of Photoshop Extended for use at work.  Does the measurement export include the ability to export histogram data for a selection in L*a*b* color space?  I have had good results with color testing for quality control using my personal copy of CS4 and am looking for a way to allow easier integration with Excel for evaluating data against manufacturing product standards.
I would also consider learning more about scripting if that is a better approach.
    Thanks!
    -David

I should have added that the histogram is exported as a CSV text file, which is easily digested by Excel and other spreadsheet programs.

  • Export to PDF Alignment Out

Are your  links up to date? What settings did you use?

  • Bleed settings come out wrong when export to PDF

I'm working on a 5x13 door hanger in InDesign with a .125" bleed on all sides. I did the front in Illustrator and brought it into ID and I did the back entirely in ID since it's text heavy.
When I export it to PDF with bleed and crop marks showing, the crop marks show up where the color ends instead of .125" in from the edge of the color.
I keep double checking both the ID and Illustrator documents, and I can't see anything wrong. Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't think what.
Has anyone run into this problem before? Any thoughts on what I might be missing and how to fix it? Maybe ID handles bleeds differently than what I'm used to?

When you export to PDF there is an option to set bleeds in the export dialog or use the document bleeds. Maybe you have them set to 0 in the dialog and haven't checked use document bleeds?
