Export and import the windows phone contacts as .vcf file to the application
Hi, I need to export the windows phone contacts as .vcf file and import it to my windows phone application. I'm unable to import the full details of a contact. Is there any sample code to export and import phone contacts programmatically. Please
help if there is any solution. Thanks.
Nikitha
Found this on the internet:
http://www.lumisoft.ee/lswww/download/downloads/Net/
If you download the Lumisoft.Net.Zip and extract it looks like there is a vCard folder with some classes that may help you.
You will need to use something like that or search a bit more and find a vCard C# Helper library.

How row migration get eliminated by export and import the table.
Hi ,
Please let me know, how row migration get eliminated by export and import the table.
Another method, deleting migrated rows and inserting those rows from copied table,
i think the concept behind this method is,inserting these rows into new block.
pls correct me if i am wrong.
Thanks,
Kumar.Hi!
You can also use ALTER TABLE MOVE command, or if you are on 9i you can use DBMS_REDEFINITION package.
If you have a maintainance window the easiest way would be to use alter table move.

Is it possible to export and import the roles and users tables?
Hi,
is there any possibility to export and import the role and user definitions?
We have a SAP MDM repository with a lot of roles and users and also with a lot of changes.
And now I'm searching for a fast and efficient way of managing the roles and users.
Thanks and Regards, MelanieHi Melanie,
There is no export/import functionality for roles and users. The only way to manage these in an automated way would be to write a program that uses the Java or ABAP APIs. Both APIs expose functionality to create, update and delete roles and users.
Hope this helps,

How to export and import the lsmw
Hi Friends,
How to export and import the objects in lsmw
from dev to qas(quality) systems........
its urgent.........
regards,
venu.best way is to create a transport and move it to other enviroments
There are two ways of Transporting for this. Can choose any one.
Goto the LSMW Transaction
1)Extras>Export Projects>(Give the Project name)
In next screen(Choose what subproject, routines, etc.. you wan to copy then, Export Rules-->Export((Will prompt for file name)
A text file will be downloaded.
In the Target System
Goto LSMW Extras-->Import Projects and give the text file which was downloaded.
2)Extras-->Generate Change Request
Assign a change request which is basically a transport request and you can then get this transported from one system to another through the basis route. -

Dear Sir
I am MM consultant, I would like to export only one table and import the same after some request released, how to do this. Please help me.
I am working in Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 release
Thanks in advance
Rajakumar.KHello Raja,
you want to export some table, perform some changes on the system (releasing a transport) and then reimport the old state of the table? This sounds like a very bad idea. You are inviting desaster and compromise the consistency of your system.
Go to http://help.sap.com chose your release and enter the search term brspace to find out
supported ways to reorganize a table.

How to export and import the source code
Hi,
I want to ensure the dev databse and prod databse same
I dont mind about the data.
I want all the objects ( packages, procedures, functions ) to be exported and imported.
Please help me out in this
Regards,
RaviI wrote a long message but lost everything while trying to post :(
You haven't mentioned about tables. If there are some changes in the tables structure, you need to take care of that also as in the new database if you don't change the tables all the dependent procedures...functions...packages would go invalid.

How to export and import the Portal Components
Hi,
I had developed few components like (Forms, Reports, Frames etc.,) in Oracle Portal release 2. Now, I need to make available all the components on my Client's machine. I like to know how to export and import these components.
If any can help in this, it will be a great help for me...
Thanks in Advance...The migration of any Portal DB provider components, has the following steps.
Assume that you are migrating a form component form_X.
1) Click the export link of the form_x.
(this will take you to create transport screen).
2) Specify a name of the transport set which you are going to create. (eg., "My form_X transportset")
(Since the objects are migrated using a container which is in other words called as 'Transport Set').
3) In that select the export now button.
(this will mark your form component form_X for export).
4) Verify that the status of the transport is 'Extract Complete'
(check with the browse transport screen in Export/Import Portlet under Admin tab).
5) Now, the object information is extracted into transport set tables used by Portal Export/Import Utility.
6) Go to that particular transport set, (browse transport) and download the script available.
7) That script will lead you to various steps,
(create a dump ).
8) In the target instance, import that dump using the same script again.
9) Merge the contents of the dump (form_X information) into any of the application.
(Import option => in the export/import portlet under admin tab).
10) Verify that the status of the transport set is 'Merge Complete'.
Now, the object is migrated and ready for use.
(Here are explaining the export/import process in detail.
You can refer the export/import manuals.

Hello
I have troubles when try to import or export the different sizes of the Responsive Design View, I manage at least 13, and it's a little preposterous to add one by one. There are a method that export/import them?
ThanksThere is a way to store custom settings for responsive design.
You can create custom settings in the responsive design mode window.
You can hold down the Shift key and drag the borders via the (right border, bottom border, bottom right corner) resize icons to get specific dimensions and give the current custom setting a name to add them as a preset.
This will add the preset to the <b>devtools.responsiveUI.presets</b> pref that you can inspect on the <b>about:config</b> page.
Those settings are stored in JSON format.
<pre><nowiki>[{"key":"360x640","width":360,"height":640},{"key":"768x1024","width":768,"height":1024},{"key":"800x600","name":"8x6","width":800,"height":600},{"key":"800x1280","width":800,"height":1280},{"key":"980x1280","width":980,"height":1280},{"key":"1280x600","width":1280,"height":600},{"key":"1920x900","width":1920,"height":900}]</nowiki></pre>
See this thread for some JavaScript code to add extra sizes:
*[[/questions/957590]]
You can paste the existing JSON value of the devtools.responsiveUI.presets pref in the prompt and click OK.
Extra values can be added by typing its dimensions (<width>x<height> <name>).
You can paste the resulting JSON value back to the devtools.responsiveUI.presets pref or save it. -
Exporting and Importing the schema with AQ capability
Hi,
We have a production DB which is using Advance queuing and this whole queuing is working fine in Prod but now we have a problem in test Env and it seems that somebody has already tampered the test DB. (the queue reads and sends the messages to DB2)
So i wanted to export the prod schema and import it to the test schema that we have.
i wanted to make sure that if i import it to test db , it doesn't send the messages to the prod DB2 database!!
now it should send the messages to the test DB2 database.
How can i see where it sends the messages after i imported it ? how can i change it?
i'm not sure if i have explained my problem in a correct way and if you have understood my question. Please send me messages and i can explain more about it.Hi Adhappan
I have tried importing without success. The import is not consistent. The same schema creates different sets of tables & fields each time. Sometimes if you reimport some more tables which were not set up the first time gets selected for import.
I did a simple exercise to test the import / export functionality.
1. I unarchived a repository from standard content provided by SAP
2. I exported the schema
3. I tried importing the schema without any modifications to schema
4. The results were highly inconsistent.

I want to do an export and then an import of a group of pages. I want know if the values of the different pageid, regionid, etc, take different values when I do the import.
I have some procedures where I put the value of some regionid and I don't know if when I make the import I'll have to change these procedures or the values will be the same.
Thanks.
Nachohello
all the IDs change. All item (including pages, pagegroups, items, .... ) are re created so that means that all IDs change.
For your PL/SQL procedure, write a couple of function that will return the ID of elements by their name.
for example :
function get_page_group_id (p_name in varchar2) return number is
l_page_group number;
begin
select id
into l_page_group
from portal.wwsbr_all_content_areas
where name = p_name
and language = portal.wwctx_api.get_nls_language;
return l_page_group;
end get_page_group_id; -
Exporting and Importing the label

Please let me know.
Regards,
RafiHi,
Thanks for your answer.
While exporting I am specifying the path as '/usr/sap/trans_PR3'.
While importing it is asking for the path, so which path needs to be given here. Actually I am exporting the label from QA system to '/usr/sap/trans_PR3' , I want to import this to DEV.
Label name is : ZLB_SHIPC2 its version is 01
Please help, I stuck up here.
