Export aperture slideshow to youtube

Hi,
I would really appreciate help in finding a simple way to export a slideshow into you tube.
So far, I have used the 'export' button on the right hand side of the slideshow and selected 'you tube' it created an m4v file in iTune, what do I do now?
(I need to create a youtube clips and then empbed it in a shcool website)
This should be easy, right? - after all it's Apple???
Many thanks,
Batia

When you export you pick the filename and where you want the file exported to (the Folder)
Save As: is the filename to save the slide show as and then you pick the Folder to write the file, to.
Once Aperture is done use YouTubes importer to upload the file.

  • Exporting Aperture Slideshow to Itunes

I created a slide show in Aperture, exported it for iTunes and Apple TV, but I cannot find it in iTunes or show it on the TV. What do I have to do?

What are your Aperture version and iTunes version?
Did you use the following export settings for the slideshow?
With these setting, the slideshow appeared in iTunes in the "Movies" section of the Library in the "Home Videoas tab", like this:
    What settings did you use?

  • Aperture slideshow export to Pal

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way I can export aperture slideshows to PAL to import in dvd studio pro for a dvd in the UK?
I have tried converting the videos with ffmgegx but the quality is not great?
Any ways around this would be very helpful, thanks

Aperture only produces a digital file of your slide show PAL refers to the encoding used when making a video disk.
Whether the video disk is encoded PAL or NTSC is determined by the software you are using to create the video disk.

  • What is the best way to create sRBG Aperture slideshow?

I am trying to play Aperture slideshows on my TV. After I created a slideshow from RAW files, I used iMovie/share Quicktime to change to file extension/codec to .mp4 so that I can play the slideshow on my TV.
But the color of the slideshow on TV was just too saturated.
Any easy way to export Aperture Slideshow in sRBG?

SRGB is a color Profile used primarily for images displayed on the web. Maybe you can try Automator, which has an action called "Add Color Profile" for quick time movies. It displays 3 options in the menu, SD, HD, PAL. Hope it works.

  • Problem with Aperture slideshow export - Some photos don't display!

I have just completed my latest wedding slideshow. It plays as normal in Aperture, but when exported, certain photos don't show... just a black screen. The timings are unaffected.  Aperture 3.6, Yosemite 10.10.1
The affected photos seem to be the ones that I am displaying for longer durations. I'm using Ken Burn's theme and if I turn off the Ken Burn's effect on the affected photo it gets exported ok.
Having spent many hours working on this slideshow I'm "slightly" annoyed!  This is obviously a bug introduced in Aperture 3.6 or Quicktime on Yosemite, I just hope it can be fixed ASAP.   Unfortunately, I guess Aperture is low on the priority list... I have moved the LR, but still rely on Aperture for slideshows!
    HELP!

Luckily I still had a bootable pre-Yosemite backup of my iMac and have been able to successfully export the slideshow.  Hopefully, Apple will fix the problem before next wedding season!

  • I cannot export a slideshow at 24fps from Aperture 3?

I import clips to Aperture 3 filmed at 24fps on a Canon EOS 60D and when I try to use the custom settings to export at 24fps, it changes it to 30-35fps. The custom settings are useless in Aperture 3 as it still does whatever it wants. The only way I can export anything properly is to film at 30fps and export on the standard 720p or 1080p HD settings (which automatically selects 30fps).
Is it simply impossible to export a slideshow with HD dSLR motion in it at 24fps even if all clips are filmed at 24fps? I need a definitive answer on this. Please.

I can't give you a definitive answer, but I don't think you can do it. Aperture is not a video editing or motion graphics program. A3 is the first version of the application to support video import or slide show output.  It targets specific devices and only has two codecs.
AFAIK the 7D was the first DSLR- and the first camera under $3K- to offer 24p.  Before 2010, only pro videographers shot 24fps
IMHO A3 is the wrong tool for the job, and you should be using video editing program Like Final Cut or a motion graphics program like Motion or After Effects.
The good news is that Motion 5 is only $50 on the app store.  Previously, it was only available as part of the Final Cut Suite, but I can't find anything that says one has to have Final Cut X to buy or use it. (System requirements are pretty steep.)

  • Export my slideshow from Aperture (with music) to a CD

I'm having problems with exporting my slideshow from Aperture. I'm also new to the mac and aperture, so this could be part of the learning curve!
I would like to export the slideshow (with music) to be played on a non-apple computer via a CD. I see the export options, but they all seem to be specific to other apple products or a TV.
is it even possible to copy the slideshow to a CD?
    Thanks!

I see the export options, but they all seem to be specific to other apple products or a TV.
These export options are just guidelines to pick a suitable resolution and codec. If you pick one of them it will render your slideshow and export a Quicktime movie; then you move this movie to a folder and burn this folder to a CD.
If you want a movie that can be viewed on a display of anoter computer I'd go for the option with the highest solution and pick the full HD option: HD 1080p. All other options will result in higher compressed videos with less resolution.

  • When I try to export an Aperture slideshow to movies it does not work.  Why?

Before I upgraded to Lion and had an Aperture 3 update I could easily export a slideshow as a movie from Aperture and then create a DVD.  Now no matter what I do this will not work. Any suggestions?

I visited the Apple store in Belfast and am delighted to say received the following advice which worked.
    Make sure Aperture is closed.
Finder then Go then Computer then Macintosh HD then Library then Application Support then Aperture then delete all files ending in .plist.
2.1. Macintosh HD then Library the Quicktime then delete Contents.
Finder then Go then Alt then Library then Application Support then Aperture then deleteall .plist except for metadatasets.plist.
    Then start Aperture.

  • Aperture slideshow export fails - not enough disk space

    hey
aperture 3.0 on Lion on macbook air 2011.
i am trying to export a slideshow I created in aperture (200 files, total several hundred mb plus 1 audi mp3)
however, anything over "ipod touch" resolutions throws the error
    Unable to Export Slideshow
    Not Enough Free Disk Space.
Free up space on the disk and try again.
I have more than 15 GB free, how could it possibly be the reason?
    Any ideas?

and where would this data be stored now? because I cannot find it to delete it to recover that disc space...
my situation is critical... I cannot even open the finder because I have zero disc space left after trying to render out my video from a 1 hour slide show with music.
I was supposed to have this completed by tonight and move onto other editing tasks..

  • Using Aperture what is the format needed to export a slideshow, so that it is compatible with iDVD, and then be played on a widescreen tv? thanks

Hi, I am having challenges with exporting a slideshow, happened to be in Live Media type, and it was not supported by iDVD. Took hours to download, and then I couldnt use it. Does anyone know the steps to take when exporting? thanks

    Hi barbara10,
so far I do not know "Live Media Type", I guess Export your slideshow for "HD1080p" or for Codec: H264
    should be OK for iDVD.
This belongs to German Version of Aperture.
Did you create the slideshow? Was it a external slideshow?
    Hope this helps

  • Is it possible to export a slideshow in 1080p format and then show it on a projection TV in 1080? if so, how - what conversions are necessaryw on a projection TV, if so how

is it possible to export a slideshow in 1080p format and then show it on a projection TV in 1080? if so, how - what conversions are necessary

Getting it out of Aperture is not a problem. When you export the slide show select 1080p as the export format.
What happens then gets tricky. To create a true high def 1080p DVD requires Blu-Ray. So you will need an external Blu-Ray recoreder and software to create the DVD.
If you're hooking your computer up to the TV then you'll have better luck.

  • Aperture slideshows to mobileme gallery

I have tried endlessly to export a good quality aperture slideshow to my mobileme gallery but it seems this can only be done as an album of pictures or as a movie through imovie.
Does anyone know another procedure whereby I can upload them as I originally create them with music, theme, transitions, etc?

I create 'high quality previews' in aperture first.
From there I create a 'high quality master file'...
    Export from aperture...
    Using a 'custom' preset
    H.264
    24fps
    at 1920x1080
I label this file my 'master' for play back on computer & smaller versions for other devises.
    From here in QT7:
    File-export-'Movie to Quick Time Movie'
    Options-     Compression: H.264
                      Quality: High
                       Frame Rate: 24fps
                       Encoding Mode:  Multipass
                      Dimensions: 640x840
                       Scale:  Letterbox
                       Sound:  AAC
Not sure whether to go from ITunes to Mobileme from here or if there is a way to go from iTunes to Mobileme via iMovie
    from here...
I've just tried so many ways that I am disappointed with the results every time.
I did create one movie in mobileme with great quality but didn't write down how I did it and now I can't repeat it...
I am also very disappointed with not being able to produce good quality movies on a DVD...
Any advice on this matter is greatly appreciated...I realize my I.T. understanding is somewhat limited but I do know what it is I want to produce in the end after having taken great images...

  • Import Aperture slideshow into iPad as SLIDES

I prepared a slideshow using Aperture, individually introducing texts and modifying slide layout. 550 slides, this was a lot of work.
    Then I bought an iPad.
From what I found until now, the only solution is Aperture > iPhoto > (movie) > iPad
I don't care for a movie, I want to keep my slideshow, its quality and the ability to browse my own speed.
Using the album I prepared before is not the solution, as I loose the additional information for each slide.
    QUESTION 1
CAN I INDIVIDUALLY EXPORT PICTURES AND ADDITIONAL LAYOUT PREPARED FOR AN APERTURE SLIDESHOW AS JPEG FILES ?
I moved to Photoshop to redo the editing job, then import into Aperture.
Too bad, the order of pictures is lost when exporting to iPad.
And I did not find any solution for modifying orders of pictures on iPad.
iPhoto for iPad says it would do it (drag and drop), but I did not find how yet...
Should I individually drag pictures into an Album on iPad ?
    QUESTION 2
HOW TO MODIFY ORDERS OF PICTURES IN AN IPAD ALBUM ?
There should be solutions for both. Hopefully a simple one that I did not find yet.
    Can anyone help ?

    Hi Constance,
You would first need to export the slideshow from iPhoto as a Quicktime movie.
Then you can view it on your iPad.
    Here's how:
    iPhoto '11: Export a slideshow

iPhoto '11: View photos or slideshows on iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV

    Hope this information helps ...
