Export clips separately from multitrack edit bombing Audition 2015 CC

attaching a screencast. Everything is up to date.
Mac
Yosemite
latest everything.
This hasn't happened before.
Any help appreciated as I have LOTS to edit/export (and before explaining how I'm going about this wrong, trust me that I've tried many options. Doing it this way (soloing tracks in Audition to edit / batch process / level) is saving hours... or would be if I could save the tracks individually once they're edited.  It's SUPPOSED to work per manuals/websites/help screens.
In the screencast I get an error message before it bombs.
That was new.
Last night, when this happened several dozen times, I never got the error message. #stepintherightdirection
Screencast of session

The screen capture wasn't a high enough resolution where I could read the crash report.  Any chance you can send that to me?  You can find it again by opening Applications > Utilities > Console.app  then expose User Diagnostic Reports.  You should see entries for each time Audition crashed - drag one of them into an email as an attachment and send it to [email protected] and I'll take a look.
I did just try it on my own system without any problems, and if it was working before then something else must be amiss.  The crash report may give us the right clues to start troubleshooting.

    Hi there!
I've been trying to export a sequence from Premiere CS6 to edit in Audition CS6 through "edit>edit in Adobe Audition>sequence". However, I keep receiving the following error message:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [../../Src/Sequence/TrackItem.cpp-171]
When I hit continue the rendering doesn't move forward and I have to cancel the process.
Does anyone has a clue what could be wrong???
    Thanks a lot!

Nope - doesn't work. Clipped samples show up in "Amplitude Statistics" but when I go to the Diag panel - select "DeClipper" and "Scan" - NO problems are detected.

  • Exporting C100 footage from an edited timeline proving impossible help!!!!

The Canon C100 I now know shoots in a formate called PsF which is a type of interlaced that is but isn't interlaced? Yes I'm kind of confused.  Anyway Premiere reads the footage I shot as 1080i and 29.97fps though I shot it at 1080p and 23.976.  Yes I've talked to Canon Cinema EOS tech support team about this and they say they have no answers that it depends on the NLE I am using. I'm using Premiere CC on a Macbook Pro Retina, 15" fully loaded.
I decided to edit a timeline that Adobe chooses when adding the footage to it automatically. I export and I keep getting the error message. "Unknown error" HELP!!!

I tried it both ways, I was on the phone with an Adobe rep who took control of my computer. We were on the phone for two hours while we tried different things. Here's what we found out. The mercury playback engine doesn't like the C100 footage. You can take Red Epic 6k footage and edit without a hitch with a macbook pro retina 15" but not the C100. I turned the renderer to "software only" and it took 10 times as long but it exported.  So for this particular project that's what I'll have to do.  As for Clipwrapped footage, it doesn't matter, Mercury hates it.  So it's time for Premiere to address the C100 directly. NOT AVCHD assuming that AVCHD is the same across the board because it isn't.  This whole PsF flavor of it is a pain to work with in any NLE. Anyway I'll keep researching. Thanks

  • Possible to export clipping path from InDesign CS5?

I ran into a minor problem. We just upgraded from CS1 to CS5 in our company and at the moment we're quite happy about the change to the more "modern" (if you are getting my hints here).
Anyhow, before the new install of Adobe CS5 I just recently asked our IT-guy to reformat my pc and re-install Win XP again. I did this so I could start from scratch and eliminate most common pc-errors in the near future (I took over this pc from someone else some time ago who used and installed stuff on it which I didn't know about nor needed).
Most of my data and files were backed up and re-installed. However, to my great horror I just realized that some of the linked image-files in an InDesign document containing A LOT of clipping paths are no longer listed as linked but missing. I checked and saw that these image-files weren't backed up at all.
Now the problem isn't getting back these images as I can quickly download and relink them from a number of databases.
However, these images were all painstakingly cut out in Photoshop by creating clipping-paths for each and every one of them and those clipping-paths are now lost with the deleted files.
If I check my InDesign file now I can see that every preview still retains the original cutpath from the original (but now deleted) Photoshop file. I have tried to mark this cutpath first, copy it and then tried to see if I could insert it back into an image-file that I opened in Photoshop but this didn't - at least for me - work out.
My question is now.., can these clipping-paths somehow be saved and re-imported back into Photoshop.
Any creative, ingenious, cumbersome and even crazy thoughts and methods are very, very welcome as I'd hate to sit down once more and spend hours of re-creating those paths.
Hoping on some bright brains out there... ;-)
Thanks for any help in advance.

You sir, are nothing short of a genius! :-)
The last solution is exactly what I was looking and hoping for. I realize that this will take some extra time and work but that's a small headache in relation to redrawing each of those clipping-paths. Now that would be a true nightmare as well as it would take much more time.
The clipping-paths are quite complex as they are drawn around images such as printers, mice, laptops, external harddisks, office-chairs, designer-furnitures (for office use) and the like since this is what our company sells.
So the solution you suggested works perfect. I am deeply, deeply grateful for your input and time and thank you very, very much for helping out in this time of despair. ;-D
If I can ever help you or anybody else with a good advice in return (I doubt I will know more than you but I can give it a try) please do not hesitate to contact me. I'd be most happy to do so.
Allow me to ask you..., are you a private person helping out or are you part of the Adobe-team since it seems that you are well acquainted with the programs and trouble-shooting?

  • How can I export colour separations?

I have tried unsuccessfully to export colour separations from Illustrator (CS5.1 MacOSX). I need the separations in an editable file format, but it seems like I am only able to print separations.
I have tried to print to a file with Output set to host-based separations but even that seems to be impossible. I get an error message "The save as PDF options in the Printer dialog are not supported".
The software is clever enough to do the separations, but somehow it can only print, not export them. Is there any additional software that would pose as a printer but instead of printing would create a file?

Actually, that is just what I finally did.
Previously I had tried printing to a PostScript file and opening the .ps file in Illustrator, but that gave me only the first page without any possibility to choose the page. That experience made me think that .ps files are useless for this purpose. Only yesterday after googling the error message I learned that I have to distill the ps into pdf before opening it in Illustrator.

  • Exporting sequence from Premiere CC to Audition CC opens completely wrong clips in multitrack

I export my sequence from PP and Audition opens 100% incorrect video and audio!  Nothing is the right clip, totally wrong files are being opened.  I have no clue at all what is going on.  Can anyone help?
Footage is DV PAL.  Audio is single stereo audio file (made in Audition CC) on dialogue track and single stereo music track, both 48KHz 16bit. All audio is going into Audition at 0db with no effects (ie untampered).
I've done plenty of other mixes with the same project in different sequences with no problem at all (starting in CS6 and now working in CC - it's a feature film project with many tracks and over an hour long).  The primary feature mixdown has been done and worked beautifully last week.  Now I'm working on a trailer which is only 3 minutes long, using the rendered movie as my primary source, so it should be quite simple.
I have had a look at the xml (of which I only have the most basic understanding) and the document clearly references completely wrong files, so I think you are right and it's a PP issue rather than Audition, which just seems to be fed crap to start with!
    My specs are:
    Mac Pro 5,1 - 6 Core 3.33GHz
    48GB RAM
    GTX 680 Mac
    OSX 10.8.5
    Adobe CC - up-to-date
playout via Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 (FW400)
    Thanks for any help!
    Dominic
    PS
This is a copy of a thread I started in the AUdition forum but was advised to ask here instead.

Not a direct reply to your question but...
I have only exported video to Audition as a reference track- preferring to use the PP timeline for the master export.  I somehow feel it's less prone to image quality loss (codec dependent!)
To that end, I add the imported Audition mix-down either as a single or multiple stems, depending upon the project requirements,  and place them in sync in the original timeline.

  • Can't export clips or sequences to Audition from Premiere Pro cc 2014.2

I can't get audio tracks or anything to export to audition. If I right click on them the option is grayed out and if I go to the clip menu and select "edit in adobe audition" the "clip" is grayed out and if I choose sequence it opens a dialog box that will not let me click the box "open in adobe audition".
I am watching a how to video but my program will not function as shown in video.

I uninstalled Audition and reinstalled it. I read that it should be installed after premier pro cc. That restored the grayed out links. good, but now other problem.
Now the new issue is the export to premiere from Audition is greyed out.
I will try and get this make sense...
I installed premiere cs6 two days ago to get Encore for dvd burning and menus. After the uninstall/reinstall of audition just now I ran a check on the link and got stuff from premiere cc 2014 to launch into audition, but when I checked how to send it back to premiere pro cc 2014 when I went to export to premiere (and was able to check the open in Premiere box) it launched cs6, but I want it to go to my premiere cc 2014
So I uninstalled cs6 only leaving encore, now the box to send it to premiere is unable to be checked.
I tried another fresh install of audition, but the box is still unable to be checked.
I need help - been up all night and having a rough time here.

  • Extraction to Edit in Audition from Premier Pro is messed up!!!

So evidently, Right clicking the clip the premier pro time line and editing in audition screws up the extraction process creating a tiny file that does nothing.
My work around for my solution I figured out myself is to do this:
Right click the audio file in the media browser and open into audition from premier pro. The extracted file I then edited in audition and then had to drag the extracted file from media browser in premier pro to the timeline sequence.
BTW, Adobe Phone Support is complete crap. I seemingly got hung up on after a long time of silence and being asked to hold on as he appears to look into my situation.
I can make it work but it doesn't work the way Adobe intended I presume.
Pretty irritating. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance! !

How big is the audio file?  Premiere cannot extract audio greater than 4gb.  It is limited to old WAV file extraction.  It doesn't support import of WAV larger than 4gb either.
    TIPS:
    1.  If you have big audio in timeline, use blade to clip it up, and then select all clips and edit in audition.
    2.  In Audition, if you have a large WAV stereo file, split it up to mono channels.  If it is still too big, export it to MOV or AVI with Linear PCM data (same data, just a different file wrapper) and it will not matter how big the file is.  You can import that to Premiere just fine.
    3.  If you are working with 5.1 audio, always EXPORT to a MOV or AVI file in linear PCM.  You will retain 5.1 track data, and it will import as a single track in Premiere that you can adjust in audition where needed, or use a mixer in premiere to get it right.
    4.  If your audio is stereo and 1-3 hours, 48k16bit will be huge and 96k at 16bit will kill the WAV file limit at 1.5 hours.  Separate the channels and you should be okay.  With 5.1 of the same length, you might also get away with the same channel separation.  Beyond that, you'll need a different file container.  If you still wish to separate audio, do so, it won't hurt anything.

  • What is the best workflow to duplicate adjustments across many clips and export them separately?

    Hi,
I'm pretty new at this. I have 30 or so clips comprising about 90 min of HD AVCHD video. I'd like to adjust color and lighting and export them separately as max quality MP4s(h.264). In terms of PE, no real fancyeffects, the adjustments panel meets my needs. I plan to apply the same adjustments to each clip at least as a starting point. I own Adobe the Elements Family ver 12 (Premiere, Photoshop, and Organizer) and LightRoom. Can you advise me on what the most expeditious workflow would be?
I'm not sure about any of this but here is my thinking so far:
    Premiere Elements:
    Pro:  Offers good adjustment control.
Con: I'm thinking adjustments only apply to clips on the timeline or storyboard. If I remove the clip from the time line, adjustments won't stick in the assets panel. Export, exports everything on the time line. I'd have to go through the adjustment and export process individually for each clip. Not sure if I can save a development preset?
    Elements Organizer:
Pro:  Can work with and export clips as separate files. Adjustments can be duplicated across clips(?).
Con:  Not as many adjustment controls as Premiere Elements.
    LightRoom:
Pro:  Can work with and export clips as separate files. Adjustments can be duplicated across clips.
Con: Not sure if it has as many adjustment controls as Premiere Elements or not. Any others?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I've had a few awarenesses since writing this post. Thought I'd write them up before a generous soul spent time answering my above question.
It has become evident to me that I should be using one of the databases to accomplish this task rather than the video editor. ie EO or LR rather than PrEl. (I started with PrEl, therefore my confusion.)
Organizer vs. LR is a question that I brought up before with lot's of helpful replies. No need to repeat all that. I guess one remaining question that would be helpful to know, however, is which library has superior video editing for a single video and for application of edits across multiple videos, Elements Organizer or LightRoom?
    thanks for reading!

  • Exporting clips from one file

I am trying to export clips in Quicktime format onto a cd for someone else to edit.
I imported a sequence from FCE that appeared as one clip in iMovie 06. I split the clips. There are 32 separate clips now. I need to copy these onto a cd so that someone else can edit them into a movie. When I tried copying them, the clips appeared as one file NOT 32 separate clips.

.. a bit exotic, that workflow.. ? why not using FCE for that task..
    in iM:
select/'highlight' the clip, goto export, check the box 'selected clips only', choose FullQuality or whatever quality.. done.
note: a CD fits 3secs of dv.. probably a dataDVD is better, an external Harddrive best practice..

Have used large format, but using the 'burn' software, I am not getting seamless video quality on DVD even though I am burning at 2* speed. Any ideas? Do I need better software? Or is there a problem with the SuperDrive?

  • Can preset plugins be copied from Cool Edit Pro to Audition?

Can preset plugins be added/copied from Cool Edit Pro to use in Audition? There are just some equalizer settings in CEP I liked a lot and they are not in Audition.

Even though it might be possible, you might also not like the results any more - the EQ engines have been rebuilt and there's no guarantee that they will sound the same at all.
There are no guarantees, but if it's going to work at all, you find the Cool.ini file in preferences, and drop it onto the Audition icon on the desktop. Has to be the right ini file though - it's the one that's normally hidden in your user preferences, and much larger than the one that's easy to find.

  • Is it possible to save or export an e-book chapter from Adobe Digital Editions? Is it possible to export or save from Adobe Digital Editions to an Adobe pdf?

Is it possible to save or export an e-book chapter from Adobe Digital Editions? Is it possible to export or save from Adobe Digital Editions to an Adobe pdf?

I hope you won't see this as rude, but what you are missing is the obvious point that Adobe are in business to make money. So they put as little in Adobe Reader as they can, so people are motivated to buy stuff. Every development intended for Reader has severe limitations on feasibility and techniques for this reason; it's a huge (but very common) mistake to just develop for Acrobat and assume Reader will follow.
