Export collection as jpeg produces wrong format for Clikpic website

Lightroom 1.3.1, high spec pc, Windows XP, ACD,etc. I have a website with "Clikpic". Before starting with L/R I had a Photoshop action to save for web at 600x600@72dpi etc, images from which then upload fine into Clikpik. I thought I would use the L/R "Collection" option to select some images from a recent trip, then use the "Export" option to save in the required Clikpic format - if I use that and then try to upload, I get error message "CF_IMAGE INFO:Format Not Recognised". I then went back to my own old Photoshop Action to do the same thing with the same image and that one uploads fine. Both images come out around 60Kb. What is wrong with the Lightroom process? Has anyone else had this problem? I have posted the query to Clikpik support too.

One difference between LR export and PS save-for-web is that LR will imbed the image's metadata in the JPG and SFW only maintains copyright info (in PS3) or nothing (prior versions). So could Clikpic be seeing some metadata in the LR export that it doesn't like?

  • Exporting Low resolution 320 X 240 videos for my website

    I am mystified by Premiere Elements 11. I want to create a 2..5 min video (e.g. mp4)  that is 320 X 240 with bitrate set low enough to keep the file size under 20megs. There is NO options in the pubish drop down to adjust the final dimensions of the video, the bitrate etc. All options regarding these are greyed out (I picked the mpeg format). I can't get a video in ANY format  that conforms to the desired dimensions and size;    I have no good options to adjust the quality of the video to make it good enough for the website and not gigantic. I have used Ctberlink PowerDirector 11 recently and those options are readily available in that application.
    Most of my videos are going to be for the web. The way premiere elements 11 works now, it's going ot be useless for my purpose.
    Am I missing some way to accomplish my objective, or is the program pretty limited in the ability to customize the outputted video?
    Thanks. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Chick

    As I show you in my books, it's easy to output custom videos for your web site. You say want an MP4?
    Go to Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD. Select the the Preset for Vimeo SD.
    Then click the Advanced button. On the Export Settings screen that opens, go to the Video tab. Set the output size to 320x240, then click OK.
    You'll be prompted to save this as a "permanent" preset so you can use it again. Type in a name like "Web site video" and you're done.

  • Is Jpeg a suitable format for a newsletter photo?

    Dear Fellow iPhoto Users,
    I want to email a photo. I would like to choose a file type that will show sufficient resolution on a printed page (newsletter) without being unnecessarily large (for emailing).
    I read this User Tip by Terence Devlin:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
    Kind. Your options are Original, Current, Jpeg, Tiff and PNG.
    This option allows you to select the format of the exported file, and the choice you make here has consequences.
    Original is exactly that. The file you imported from your camera, no changes or edits, no added faces, places etc. Just the Original. If you're exporting Raw or a Movie you use this option.
    Current is the photo as it is right now in the database. It's the iPhoto Preview, a medium quality jpeg, it won't have all the metadata.
    Jpeg: The most common form of image file used. It's lossy, so subsequent editing might cause quality loss. It has excellent metadata support
    Tiff: an uncompressed format, but file sizes are huge - often in excess of 10 times the Jpeg size.  It has excellent metadata support
    PNG: a lossless compressed format that many people though would replace Jpeg, but development has stalled and it has poor metadata support.
    Is Jpeg is the way to go? Your comments are most welcome.

    Ian.
    MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4

    It all depends on the size of the image (dimensions of height and width) and how you will be getting it printed.
    This has no bearing on whether to use jpeg or something else.
    If being conventionally printed on a printing press that involves color separations, then the final image's effective resolution of points per inch should be 300.
    Not necessarily the case. 300 dpi is a rule of thumb at best. You can get excellent result with a sharp image at lower dpi.
    You would also need an image in CMYK mode.
    This would rarely be the photographer's responsibility All cameras shoot in RGB. Just about every press photographer shoots jpeg and all shoot RGB.

  • Clientgen producing wrong package for artifacts when type is JAXWS

    Please we need help on this one really bad. We are using wls 10.3.2 on window 7/2008 r2 64bit edition.
    I'm tyring to upgrade to 10.3.2 and use JAXWS instead of JAXRPC for our web services. First the migration from 10.3.0 to 10.3.2 using JAXRPC web services are good. Then tried generating server side JAXWS web services with jwsc, that went fine also. But when I tried using clientgen with type="JAXWS" webservices to generate the client artifacts to be use by our standalone java swing client the packages of our javabeans (use as parameters and return value and just POJO) are all wrong and also those javabeans are duplicated if the javabeans are used in several web services methods that are in the different package. Let me give you an example so you can see. For ex. we have several javabeans we use as parameters and return values for our web services methods/call (the package is shown in the full name of the javabeans). (1) com.starcomsoft.pp.address.Address; (2) com.starcomsoft.pp.account.Account; (3) com.starcomsoft.pp.customer.Customer; (4) com.starcomsoft.pp.order.Order & com.starcomsoft.order.OrderItem. We have 2 EJB stateless session bean as webservices and they are com.starcomsoft.pp.customer.jws.CustomerWSImpl and com.starcomsoft.pp.order.jws.OrderWSImpl. The Customer bean has an address as one of it's field and an Account has a Customer as one it's field also. An Order bean has a Shipping/Billing address field and a Customer field and a Collection of OrderItems in it.
    Below is the CustomerWSimpl class..
    @SOAPBinding(style=SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use=SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL,
    parameterStyle=SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.WRAPPED)
    @Stateless(mappedName = "CustomerBeanWS")
    @WebService(name = "CustomerWS",
                   serviceName = "CustomerWSService")
    public class CustomerWSImpl {
    @WebMethod
    public Customer findCustomer(int id) { return customer;}
    @WebMethod
    public List<Customer> findCustomers(List<Integer> ids) { return List<Customer> customers;}
    @SOAPBinding(style = SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT,
              use = SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL,
              parameterStyle = SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.WRAPPED)
    @Stateless(mappedName = "OrderBeanWS")
    @WebService(name = "OrderWS",
                   serviceName = "OrderWSService")
    public class OrderWSImpl {
    @WebMethod
    public Order findOrder(int orderId) { return order;}
    When I generate the client artifacts for CustomeWSImpl using "clientgen" with type="JAXWS", the Address, Account, Customer bean will all have the same package. For example in this case com.starcomsoft.pp.customer.jws ..., and for the OrderWSImpl - the Address, Customer, Order, OrderItem the packaging is "com.starcomsoft.pp.order.jws". Also the Address, Customer are duplicated. I've tried different combination value for all the attributes of "clientgen" but to no success. I'm I missing anything on my POJO or EJB stateless Bean's?

    Hi,
    Please Don't Use weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask If you are using ANT build to define your Client Gen Defination. May be at present you are using this ClientGen:
    <taskdef name="clientgen" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask" />
    Please Use the ClientGenX Utility (This is WLS9.x Compatible Version of Clientgen NO side effects of using it) for utilizing this feature:
    <font color=maroon><b>
    <taskdef name="clientgenx" classname="weblogic.ant.taskdefs.webservices.clientgen.ClientGenTask" />
    </b></font>
    use the above clientgenx task with the attribute *"useServerTypes=true"*...Just give it a try...
    DESCRIPTION Of <strong>useServerTypes</strong>:
    Specifies where the clientgen task gets the implementation of any non-built-in Java data types used in a Web Service: either the task generates the Java code or the task gets it from the EAR file that contains the full implementation of the Web Service. Valid values are True (use the Java code in the EAR file) and False. Default value is False.For the list of non-built-in data types for which clientgen can generate data type components.
    NOTE:. The ClientGenX utility attributes are similar to WLS8.1 Clientgen utility...But it will generate the Client Side artifacts to your Current version of WebLogic ...so no need to worry...Just you may need to change some of the Attributes of your current ClientGen which you are using.

  • JPEG or TIFF format for an Aperture book

    I have some top quality TIFF files that I would like to make into an Aperture book. Does the TIFF format work? Or do I need to turn them into JPEGs to reduce the file size?

    Hi,
    from my experience it does not matter what format you use internally.
    What will get send to Apple is a PDF file with all images converted and compressed.

  • Wrong format for spreadsheet table, list view, label component

    I have a movie which is connected to a web service.  The web service feeds into cells that are linked to a spreadsheet table component.  The cells are properly formatted in excel and the fields show up fine when using static data.  However, once I pull in data in preview mode or with a published movie the cells lose the desired format.  I tested this with other components such as list view and label and get the same result.  I do not see the same results with the mouse over values in a chart though.  Anyone know what might be the problem?
    Thanks for the help

    Thanks for the response Andy.
    The fields I use have the same uniform format so there is no dynamic formatting going on.  I have read up on the rebind fix and have tried it but it doesn't seem to change things.
    Here are the specifics of my situation.  I paste some sample data returned from a query into the excel sheet.  One of the fields is a percentage so I format those cells appropriately and the excel sheet reflects the change.  I then bind the spreadsheet component to the cells containing the sample data.  The percentage field is properly displayed on the canvas as well as when I go into preview mode.  I now feed the cells with the sample data with a web service that uses the same query I used to generate the sample data.  In preview mode the percentage cell now is unformatted and shows up looking like a decimal number.  The same situation occurs for a label component bound to a single percentage cell.  I even configure the label component to format the text as a percentage.

  • Importing JPEGs produces wrong duration

    I'm importing JPEGs into FCP 6.0.6 into my project. I went to User Preferences > Editing tab and set the still/freeze frame duration to 00:00:10:00 and when I import the images they come in with a time of 08:10 ???
    I've tried it at 4 seconds and they come in at 3:10, then tried 1 second and it worked correctly.
    Very odd, any idea what's going on?
    Thx

    Import your jpeg and load it into the viewer.
    Click on the clock icon in ULHC and set your desired duration.
    Works for me.

  • Exporting RAW to JPEG and TIFF

    Evaluating LE to hopefully improve some workflow. I noticed however, that when export to a JPEG or TIFF format the file size seems much smaller that I'm accustomed. A D100 9.5MB RAW file converts to appx 2.7Mb JPEG at 100% and appx 7MB in TIFF. Currently when I convert I get a 17-20MB JPEG. I'm I missing something in the setup or is this the larger file size LE produces.
    Murray Edwards

    Excuse me Lightroom. I currently use Portfolio 8 to review and tagged a large number of images for production. They have a conversion process that allows you to convert a NEF file to JPEG or TIFF. When converting to from a NEF file that is appx 9.5MB in size to a JPEG at 100% @300DPI which is what my clients require, it produces a a JPEG file that ranges from 17-23MB depending the amount of information. But I still have to pull that image into editing SW to do some cleanup or slight exposure adjustments. It was my hopes that by using Lightroom, I could slimline a couple of these processes. But if LR only provides a exported JPEG file size of what I've seen thus far, then I would unable to accomplish this.
    Is this better clarification of my question?

  • How to export RAW/developed jpegs to jpeg, while keeping unmodified jpegs as originals?

    Hi all,
    I'm new to LR and can't work out how to get the export setting working as I want. What I want to be able to do is:
    1. Import a number of photos into a collection (a mix of RAW and jpeg)
    2. Develop the photos that I deem necessary
    3. Export the whole collection to a specific folder on my hard drive as jpeg, but for the jpegs in the collection that I have not developed, I want to keep as original
    I realise I could just export the developed versions as jpegs, and then manually add the unmodified jpegs, but this seems a bit fiddly and unnecessary. Is it possible to do what I'm trying? I'm using LR 4.1.
    Many thanks in advance!

    I want to create a collection in LR. Then after developing certain images, I want to export the whole collection to different location on my hard drive, while converting the developed files as jpeg, but keeping the non-developed files as originals (but still exporting them to the location). So I would have my 'master' folder in which I keep all my originals, and then a separate folder just for a specific collection, all in jpeg. The reason I want a separate physical location is that I have that location set to automatically sync with cloud storage, so others can view it.
    What I was hoping to see when exporting my collection as jpeg was an option for something like 'keep undeveloped jpegs as original'.
    Doesn't look l;ike I can do exactly what I want to. I'll find a way I can work with.
    thanks for all your help!

  • Exporting RAW into JPEG, color differences

    I've done a lot of searching in these forums and I can't find a solution to my problem. I just spent 30+ hours editing a set of 123 wedding photos in RAW file format. When I export to JPEG, the colors change on just about every photo. I understand that if I would have correctly set up the camer calibration prior to editing, this would have possibly solved my problem. However, the photos are already edited. When I export the files in TIFF, they look fine. It's just the JPEG file format that changes the look of my images.  I'm using Lightroom 2.3. My last brainstorm involved importing the already edited TIFF files and then trying to export those into JPEG, the color format was still off. Can anyone Help?

    What program do you use to look at the jpegs?
    Is your screen calibrated?
    What OS are you using?

  • Excel dates export with wrong format.

    When I exported an Excel Spreadsheet with several date columns, they displayed correctly but because of wrong formatting, they didn't sort right. The cell display was, for example, 2/7/2013 but Excel treated it as 7/2/2013 because it was assigning another country's formatting. some of the cells were formatted correctly, but about half of them were wrong and they were wrong in different ways. some were Argentinian, some Carribean, some European. Any ideas how to prevent this from happening?

    Go to Sequence>Settings and in the lower left use load presets.
    Anything that's in the HD in the sequence will have to be reset using the remove attributes function. If you have mixed media, strange things will happen.
    Also use easy setup to change your preset so any future sequences you create will be in the correct format.

    I've imported a giant cd collection for my boss in wav format for the best quality audio using iTunes version 11.1.1.  I need to transfer this library to our Music workstation using iTunes 11.0.1.  That workstation version of iTunes can't be upgraded for compatability reasons with other software using iTunes.  When I try to transfer the library I lose all of the CD metadata and end up with only track names.  Is there a way to transfer everything along with the metadata?

    Not easily.  WAV format does not store tag information in the file.  Realize both AIFF (equivalent to WAV) and Apple Lossless (full quality but smaller files) do, so WAV was unfortunately the worst format to chose.
    If you have to go with what you have you will have to explore exporting the library as .xml, moving it and the files to the other computer, then rebuilding a lower version library with the two sets.  I am not sure if you can do it with the library.xml file that already exists or if it too differs according to version.  You may end up having to export the files as a playlist.  You will, of course, lose artwork too, though you can try fetching it from the iTunes Store later.
    Some of what you need to do is outlined in these articles though you have the added limitation that you are not building a library of the same version.  (It really is a piity you choose WAV, otherwise you could have simply added the ripped files and most of the data would have traveled with them.)

  • Re: Exporting Format For Smart Phones.

    Hello Everyone.
    I have a Two minutes Intro animation originally done 1920 by 1080 30fps.
    I would like to E-mail the Intro Animation to my friends, so they can watch it from their Smart Phone.
    What is the best Export Settings to be compatible with most Smart Phones.
    Thanks.

    I recommend using AME's Preset Browser to select the best preset for your purposes. That way you can use the PB's search/filter feature to limit the list to a more manageable number. Just type "phone" in the search box.
    If you go this route, then when you initially export, don't worry about the format/preset because you'll be changing it in AME.
    Or, if you'll be exporting a number of clips to the same preset, then better yet would be to start by selecting the preset in AME, make an alias to it (right-click>Create Alias), which make a copy in the User Presets and Groups section at the top of the PB. Then you can drag-n-drop  sequences from PPRO's Project panel to the alias in AME's Preset Browser. Thus bypassing the Export Settings dialog. This workflow supports dragging multiple sequences at once.
    Also, if you want to export to multiple presets, you can collect them in a bin in the PB, then drop your sequences on the bin. Voila! AME's Queue will automatically create a "1:n" job--one source, multiple outputs. Not only do you save steps in the process, but when you encode, AME decodes just once for all the outputs, which can save a considerable chunk of time.
    [Way more info than you may have use for, but I love the whole Preset Browser feature set and AME's ability to encode multiple outputs simultaneously, and my sense is that not many users know about them.]

  • What exact file format for exporting AVCHD to HDD of Sony HDR-SR12E (AVCHD) Handycam?

    When you are finished editing AVCHD files with Adobe Premiere Elements 11, what is the correct file format for exporting back to the hard drive of the Sony HDR-SR12E handycam?
    I used Sony Play Memories software to import AVCHD (.m2Ts) files at 1920x1080i PAL resolution. I tried rendering to several file formats after editing, but the files could not be exported in high definition back to the hard drive of the AVCHD camera.
    I WAS able to import files from camera in Play Memories and then export them straight back to camera WITHOUT any editing, but of course you wouldn't bother doing this normally.
    I grew to love using Premiere Elements 10 for editing sd footage from my mini dv camera. However,  I've just purchased the AVCHD handycam and expect to receive my newly purchased copy of Premiere Elements 11 in a couple of days.
    Can anybody suggest the correct file format to produce for exporting AVCHD footage edited in PE11 originally captured on the Sony HDR-SR12E back to the camera?
    - Regards, Phil

    Phil
    Premiere Elements 10 has the Share/Tape (Record to DV). And, even that is for just DV, not HDV. There is no such choice in Premiere Elements 11 and 12.
    So, you are going to have to match up the properties of the original with Export settings and try to get the file exported onto the camera's hard drive if that is possible. Does the Sony user guide give instructions for how to import one of your video to its hard drive?
    The theory depends on how close you want the export of the edit to match the camera's original. There is no .m2ts file extension in any of the Publish+Share/Computer/AVCHD choices. If the .m2ts file extension is a must..
    One scheme to get a AVCHD.m2ts 1920 x 1080i25 for your camera's hard drive - lots of ifs
    1. Publish+Share/Disc/AVCHD and burn to folder using presets = H.264 1920 x 1080i PAL Dolby.
    (The preset cannot be customized so you will go with the Adobe bitrate.for the preset)
    2. Then go to the folder saved to the computer's hard drive, open the BDMV Folder, then the STREAM Folder of the BDMV Folder, and use the 00000.m2ts file there as your file destined for your camera's hard drive.
    If the hard drive will accept ..m2t, then you could use Publish+Share/Computer/AVCHD with Presets = M2T - H.264 1920 x 1080i25 and customize the export settings under the Advanced Tab/Video Tab and Audio Tab.
    Please review and then let us know if any of this works for you.
    Thanks.
