Export Comp from AEFX to Premiere - display problem

1.I have Exported a Comp from AEFX to Premiere
2. I open the Comp as a Timeline (Sequence) in Premiere.
Fine so far.
3. Scrolling the Timeline - also fine.
4. As soon as I render it . The Program Monitor displays it "reduced" in Fit Mode and correctly in 100% Mode
5. Using Tilde Key function the Display is incorrect (reduced) in either fit or 100% mode.
Deleting the Render Files takes me back to step 3.
I can not fathom this at all ( a bug maybe?)

I need to check this out further by some Export Tests from Premiere but meantime I have to change the workflow for this project to something that works without doubt.
Anyone able to do a little test for me with a simple 720p AEFX Project > Export to Premiere ?
Another issue with export from AEFX to Premiere is that the Text Layers do not export.(or import - whichever way you want to look at it)

  • Which are the best settings for exporting comps before edditing in Premiere Pro

    Hello everyone!
As the title says, which are the best settings for exporting comps from AE to Pr.Pro and then edit them?
Let  me explain: I have two comps in AE (intro and outro) and want to export  them in Pr.Pro for edditing along with a fottage i shot.
When i render them the size of the files are huge (30 sec= 7GB).
Which  is the best method (and settings) i can export the intro and outro to a 'normal' file  size and then put them in Pr.Pro without loosing any quality??
    [Comp settings: HDTV 1080 29.97 (1920x1080)]
AE and Premiere Pro both CS4

If you're rendering and exporting an intermediate video file to go from After Effects to any other piece of post-production software (such as Premiere Pro), you want to make sure that you're not losing any quality.
Most compression methods, which make movies smaller, also lose some of the image data---i.e., quality. There are a few compression methods that don't lose any image data; these are "lossless" codecs. These lossless codecs do decrease the size of a video file, but they're nowhere near as effective at decreasing size as the lossy codecs are. But file size isn't important when you're doing post-production work. Big files are a fact of life in post-production.
Examples of lossless codecs include the PNG codec and the Animation codec at the highest quality settings, both of which can be used in a QuickTime (.mov) container. I prefer the PNG codec; it's more efficient for photorealistic images, whereas Animation is more efficient for things like cartoons. There are lots of other lossless and nearly lossless codecs. A lot of people that do video editing like the Lagarith codec, but that is something that you'd have to go and get; it's not part of a standard CS5 or QuickTime installation.
See these FAQ entries for information about compression and why file sizes are big for losslessly encoded files:
"FAQ: Why is my output file huge...?"
"FAQ: What is the best format for rendering and exporting from After Effects?"
By the way, keep in mind that you don't always need to render and export an intermediate movie to go from After Effects to Premiere Pro. There are other ways to move data back and forth between these applications, including Dynamic Link. Which is best depends on the specific circumstance. See "Working with Premiere Pro and After Effects".

  • Exporting comp from After Effects CC to Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) gives error message: "AE can not connect to dynamic link"

I am trying to export an AE CC comp into a Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) video project. I can not drage it from AE to Premier Pro.  Is there a problem with the dynamic link between these two applications?

Dynamic Link only works between After Effects and Premiere Pro if the applications are of the same version---i.e., both CC 2014 versions.

  • Issue With Exporting Video From Prelude To Premiere

So I import my raw media into Prelude and Export it to Premiere.  In Prelude, I can see the entire video and everything is there.  However, when I export it to Premiere only about 18 minutes of the video imports itself.
The thing is that this doesn't do it all the time.  But it is driving me insane.  I can usually work around it by uploading just that single video file (no other videos I need added) and that usually takes care of it.  However, that's a giant waste of my time and was wondering if you folks can help me.  Please!

Yes AVI is not a good option in a Mac environment and AVI exports from a Mac are rather unreliable and bad quality to use an euphemism.
On some occasions I gave QTs uncompressed 10 bit to one of my clients who was on a PC and all went well when he used my QTs with Premiere.
Set an in and out on the timeline to select a few seconds (as a test) and export it as QT conversion Uncompressed 10 bit then send that to your guy.

  • Premiere display problem

    Hi
    See the attached pic:
    http://www.ecs.homechoice.co.uk/Premscreen.jpg
I get this problem quite often when using two or three programs - for example, I might use "edit original" to tweak a still photo in Photoshop, and when I return to Premiere, the window looks like this. The programme is still running but I can't use it.
    Any suggestions?
I'm running Windows XP on a Dell 690 8-core PC, my display adapter is the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600.
    Thanks a lot
    ed

If killing the process tree for iTunes does not really help solve this, what is your disk setup? Something is causing your display to not update quickly enough, but you have sufficient CPU/GPU power. Is your video driver up-to-date?

  • Exporting Music from Itunes into Premiere Elements

How can I import an audio clip into a project using Premiere Elements 10?
All the formats listed from itunes are not accepted.

Using iTunes you can convert the audio to MP3, which will work in Premiere Elements.
Unless it's copy protected, as many iTunes songs are. (Which is why I buy my music from Amazon.)
To get around copy protection you need to burn your iTunes songs as a CD and then use Windows Media Player to rip the music back to your hard drive as an MP3.
For best results, in fact, download the free program Audacity and use it to convert the MP3s to WAV files, the ideal audio format for Premiere Elements.
iTunes has been relaxing things a bit lately -- but it used to take a remarkably convoluted system to make their music usable in a video project!

  • Exporting hdv from Ae to Premiere crashes premiere

    hey!
I renderd an hdv1080i file from ae to import in premiere and edit it together with hdv captured from an fx1 into premiere.
for some reason if I import it  and then play it from the top it works but if I start scrolling premiere crashes..
I dont understand cause I'm using a standard hdv1080i50 preset to output from ae (cs4)
    please help, thanks!
    stije

    Thank you.
I tried to render them earlier, and import from an AVI file, but the 2 sequences came back as different sizes.
They looked the same, and correct when I played them in the source box, but when I brought them to the timeline they were different.  Essentially, one of the sequences I had to convert to "fit" instead of 100%....but I couldn't figure out how to do this to one without the changing the other.
    Thanks again.  I appreciate it.

  • Export ePUB from inDesign CS6 - polish fonts problem

I have to make ePUB with polish fonts.
I create a simple one page document in inDesign CS6 and export it to ePUB. All fonts are embedded.
When I check it in Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) there is problem with polish fonts (ż, ł). ADE doesn't read it correctly. Other readers do it in right way.
Is it a problem with inDesign or ADE?

The ADE provides a preview, and nothing more than that. Actual viewers have other, more, or less capabilities -- some don't support embedded fonts, others do but with limitations, etc.
    ComrelPL wrote:
.. that's why bookstores need ePUB to be compatibile with this ADE.
E-Pub is still in its infancy. There is no general "e-pub" standard that *all* viewers are compatible with, other than the very lowest common denominator (which may very well mean "plain text").

  • Problem when exporting audio from Premiere Pro v4.2.1 into wave 5.1 format

    Hello to Adobe experts!
After installing of last updates for Adobe Premiere Pro (v4.2.1) and for Media Encoder (v4.2.0.006) the was a problem:
Now I cannot to export audio from adobe sequence into uncompressed wave format with 5.1 channels settings. Source m2ts video files in sequence are with 5.1 audio.
    What I doing:
    1) in Premiere I execute "File\Export\Media"
    2) Export settings are:
    - format: Windows Waveform
    - audio codec: Ucompressed
    - basic audio settings: 44100Hz, Channels: 5.1, Sample Type 16bit
    3) After OK button it opens Adobe Media Encoder.
    4) After pressing Start Queue in Adobe Media Encoder there is a message "Error compiling movie. Unknown error"
In earlier versions it worked fine.
Can you help me with this problem?
    Alexander

Here are the options, from a sequence with 5.1 master track:
    and with Surcode:
Notice that first one does only give stereo as an option. Nothing more. With Surcode it gives you 5.1 sound.

  • Problem exporting large QT files in Premiere

I have Adobe Premiere (a recent edition - not sure if it's
Pro but close) and I am trying to export a movie from my timeline
into a Quicktime file. On smaller files (say, under 3 minutes) it
works fine, no errors, and the QT files play fine.
But anything bigger than that and I get the "Error 2048"
message. This error pops up right as Premiere finishes exporting
    the file.
I have seen the "Error 2048" issue addressed here and on a
few other forums, but since the smaller QT files export and play
fine, I do not believe this is a problem with my Quicktime program.
I normally export to AVI and have never had problems with
that, but for this project I'm dealing with Mac people who
apparently have issues with AVI's coming from a PC.

could be worth posting in premiere... but I'd say its to do
with the final file size. some codecs only allow a maximum file
size of, say 1gb... you could either... try compressing your video.
or cut it into small chunks and export each of these and then put
    it back together.
What media are you putting the final video on?
For CD and DVD playback MPEG2 is a good quality video format
    with a reasonable file size.

  • Export .wav with markers from Audition into Premiere Pro CS5.5

    Hi,
I need help in getting a multitrack mixdown with markers from Audition into Premiere.
    This is what I have:
An Audition CS5.5 multitrack session with lots of markers
This is what I did to export:
Audition > File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown > Entire Session > .wav & "include markers and other metadata"
When I import that .wav in Premiere Pro there are no markers, neither in the source monitor, nor in the sequence.
When I import it into After Effects, all markers are there. Unfortunately, this does not help me in my editing in Premiere.
Is there any workaround for that? A direkt export from Audition via
Multitrack > Export to Premiere Pro
    did not help either.
There is a thread on this in Soundtbooth (sorry for posting there, too) where it is stated that it should work in Premiere, too:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3908899#3908899
    Please help, regards,
    Andreas

    Hi Tim,
first of all, thank you for your help.
I also just filed a bug report, as you suggested.
Now let me share the results of checking out the workaround that you suggested:
    1. Export to Premiere Pro via "Mulitrack menu > Export to Adobe Premiere Pro"
I had tried that before and found it not working. This was a partial mistake. What I mean by that is, when you do that, the exported .wav files get automatically added to the sequence timeline. And do not show markers. BUT, what I overlooked was, that there is a sequence created alongside which resides in the project panel. This sequence does in fact include the markers, as sequence markers.
Now comes the bitter part: When I delete the automatically added .wav from the timeline and replace it with said sequence, the markers are treated as clip markers. By contrast to After Effects, in Premiere Pro clip markers do not contain any text / names. I.e. all metadata is lost except the mere fact of anonymous markers on the timeline.
    2. Export to Premiere Pro via " File menu > Export > FCP XML Interchange Format"
Same as above. Except, that I had not tried that before. What I had tried before was ...
    3. Export via " File menu > Export > OMF"
Interestingly, this cannot be imported in Premiere Pro at all. Could this be another bug?
    Comment:
I really hope that the markers export/import gets fixed soon.
I also wished, that clip markers in Premiere Pro would be as intelligent as in After Effects (naming, updating, showing their text clearly in the timeline)
I also wished that sequence markers would be as intelligent as comp markers in After Effects in showing their text clearly in the timeline.
... but thats a lot of wishing going on
    Kind regards,
    Andreas

  • Problems with exporting clips from GoPro cam

    hi!
I am using PP cs3  and it works fine with DV and HDV. But I am having problems exporting vids from GoPro (spec: http://www.goprocamera.com/index.php?area=2&productid=7). When I render it everything looks fine, but when I export it seems to repeat frames (ex. surfer jumps from surfboard twice)... first few seconds of the exported video works fine, than the repeated frames start to appear and it only gets worse towards the end... so far I got the best results with Quicktime (H.264) but still repeating toward the end...
    (gopro from 1.15 to 2.47 @ http://www.vimeo.com/6231114)
I have a laptop, core2duo 2GB, 2gb ddr2 800mhz and nvidia wtih cuda acc., 320gb disk, and everything works fine (maybe a little slow ), even HDV videos from canon A1, I am only having problems with the gopro ... please help...
    thanks
    Mitja

Received another reply from Gopro support:
"We've heard of compatibility issues in Premiere with the .avi files.  One possible way around this is to first save the .avi file as a .mov file using a program such as imovie or quicktime pro.  Hopefully this clears up the editing issues for you."
I still haven`t gave up, so I`ve tried exporting in .mov with Sorenson codec and Sorenson 3... works perfektly but now the speed od the clip is increased, so the picture is not tuned with sound anymore . Unfortunately the codecs settings can`t be configured via Premiere...
