Export Configuration

Hi,
I would like to export a ACS config on a 3.2 and import this on a newly installed v3.3.
Is there a way to do this?
The backup feature doesn't work since both versions have to be exactly the same.
Many thanks.
Koen

CSUtil.exe enables you to add, change, and delete users from a colon-delimited text file. You can also use the utility to add and delete AAA client configurations. Here is document explaining Importing User and AAA Client Informations using CSUtil.

  • Export Configurations is disabled in Network Preferences panel...

In 10.5.8, I want to export the current network configuration to a file for later import/restoration. Within the services menu, "Import Configurations" is enabled, but "Export Configurations" is dimmed. The Network Preferences Panel is unlocked, and I am the admin user.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks...

    More info...
I am booting 10.5.8 from an external drive that was in this machine at one time.
If I boot to the current drive (10.6.2), then "Export Configurations" is enabled.
I want to grab the network configuration I had on 10.5 and import it into 10.6.2.
    Thanks.

  • Best way to export configurations? FIM 2010

I can export for example management agents, but what is the best way to export for example sync rules or workflows?
Am I somehow able to export configurations to xml? Also what is the best way to export configutarions if I want to attach those to a word report?

    Hello,
Yes, you can export Sync rule and Workflow into xml, with the powershell snap-in.
    You will need to use
    Export-FIMConfig  and then ConvertFrom-FIMResource.
You can find some usefull scripts

  • Export Configuration via Command Line?

    Hi Gurus,
Is it possible to do a configuration export via the command line? I have yet to find any documentation regarding this. The reason I ask is my GUI is having issues where I cannot save reports or export files. I have an SR open regarding the reports but not the export as this was noticed after the SR was created.
    Thanks
    Gerald

    Hi Gerald,
Yes it is very much possible. For large configurations, it is recommended to take export from command line-
    1. run setenv file
    2. java -Xms512M -Xmx512M oracle.tip.repos.export.Export -inputfile <inputfile> [-ignoretypes <
    file>] <export file name>
    Arguments:
-inputfile <inputfile> to export specific objects .
-ignoretypes <file> , This is only for business process. This is to ignore
the object types while exporting deployable BP.
<export file name> name of the export file
    For e.g. -
    C:\B2B10g\Midtier\ip\install>java -Xms512M -Xmx512M oracle.tip.repos.export.Export C:\commandExport.xml
    Starting Execution Context
    Export file name is C:\commandExport.xml
    3.26
    exporting all design objects
    export done
For benefit of other users of this community, I have documented the same on below link -

  • Export Configuration Files

I am new to Jabber and was looking for a way to export all the configurations that are made to the server.  This will help to stand up additional servers in other enviornments more quickly.  We are running Jabber XCP 5.8.1 on Windows, any ideas on how to do this?

It is worth noting that the IM&P platform is almost free because Cisco is only licensing the voice/video functionality now. If you have an existing Cisco UC 8.6+ platform with active ESW/UCSS you're good to go. If not, you only have to buy the 50-seat minimum UCL bundle to get software entitlement, even if you deploy Jabber to your entire user population.
    https://communities.cisco.com/docs/DOC-29265
When combined with "specs-based" support on non-Cisco server hardware, you might be able to utilize existing data center investments, making the migration path far cheaper.
    http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Unified_Communications_Virtualization
PS- In case you look through the documents and are confused by the requirement to have UC Manager (traditionally the PBX call agent) it's because Cisco is merging the two together products together. CUCM provides the user database and, in 9.0+, nearly all of the configuration.

  • OEM Export Configuration

I've got OEM exports working...however, is there a way to dynamically change the name of the export file and log file? I'd like to keep several versions available at all times. I'd prefer not to have a separate job to do this?
    TIA
    Wade

Here are the steps that i used to configure/re-config EM for a database.
    --steps to configure
    set oracle_sid=YourInstanceName
    emca -repos recreate
    emca -config dbcontrol db
    --steps to reconfigure
    set oracle_sid=YourInstanceName
    emctl stop dbconsole
    emca -deconfig dbcontrol db
    emca -repos recreate
    emca -config dbcontrol db
    Hope this helps.

  • Export configuration - Strange results

I'm wondering if anyone has seen anything like this before, after a new installation completed today on 2.0(3a) I attempted to take a full XML backup. UCSM threw up an error (I'll get a screenshot next week if I can) about unexpected end of xml.
What is stranger is that although no backup is shown in UCSM gui, it exists in cli, and this error force closes all connections to UCSM gui.
I've looked through the release notes for 2.0(3) and also taken a look through the bug tracker, but I couldn't find anything that seemed to match.
Is this a bug? Is it fixed in 3b or 3c?

  • Appropriate procedure to export and import switch configurations??

We have several SFP-300 series PoE switches already configured and in production usage.
What is the appropriate procedure to export the configuration from one of these switches, then import into a newly-purchased switch of the same model??
The only thing that needs to be different asap is the switch's IP address...can I modify this within the exported configuration file to be imported??
Or is there some other way I should go about this process??
    Thank you, Tom

The configuration is just a text file. It's contents is basically just a list of configuration commands. You can download a backup from one of the switches that are already in use and modify it in a text editor. Then, you should be able to upload it to the new switch. That probably just works without adjustments, if the new switch has the same interface type and count.

  • Importing/exporting opensso configuration

    Hello,
We are using the flatfile configuration and we want to export the configuration from one environment and then import it again in the new environment. We want to avoid as much as possible manual interactions to create the different sso instances, site information, realm configuration, datastore configurations,....
For this we have tried already the cli but this is totally insufficient.Further we have tried to export the option of cli export-configuration-serverices and import it or on the same environment or in antohter without success.
    Any ideas ?

How about a master consumer replication from current --> new env. Once that's done, you can break the replication if you feel like it.

  • Export/Import configuration data/ other details in CUP, SPM and ERM

    Hi experts
How we can export the connectors, Workflows, initiators, stage , approvers , configurations  from CUP, ERM, SPM  Development to their production system ?. We have option to export  configuration data and connecters option in RAR but option is not seen in CUP, ERM or SPM . Is there a way? I am on AC 5.3 SP5. Is it planned for any future SP release ?
    Thank you.

    Hi Sahad,
    - in SPM, there is no configuration but the connectors. You can just create those in one place (no point in even doing it in a test system)
    - in ERM, there's also little value of testing. You might as well only configure one system and keep the audit information consistent.
    - CUP has an export configuration option. Unfortunately you always have to export a whole tree, whereas you might probably only want to export a few items of a workflow configuration (most likely the stages). Almost all of the other configuration (approvers, connectors etc. is either trivial or different in the production system anyway (you usually work with test users in DEV, at least that's my experience).
    Frank.

  • Exporting Access Manager configuration

Is there a way that one can import and export Access Manager configurations (i.e. realms, datastores, policy configs, etc) from an existing installed instance?
We have a number of environments planned to host Access Manager for different project phases (e.g. test, staging, production). We want to configure one AM instance only, and then simply apply all configs in other environments in an easy manner. At the moment we have to manually enter all configuration details through the Access Manager web console; huge hassle!

    Hi,
You need to user "amadmin" script for this to export xml configuration files ( amPolicyConfig.xml, amAuthDataStore.xml ).
You can also try something "brute-force" like exporting configurations from LDAP server to ldif, modifying the necessary stuff ( server-names etc, platform id ) and then importing them to another environment with AM installed. I have done this for AM 7.1 before discovering the export tools, it works.
    Hope it helps,
    Andrei

  • Export Server Configuration - MX6

I need step-by-step instruction on how to export configuration out of CF MX6 STANDARD edition. I've looked a the following link but couldn't locate topic for this information.  http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/CFMLRef/index.html
    Thanks in advance

Rick, the link you gave was to the CFML Reference. That won't help you at all in exporting server configurations.
Instead, that's a feature of the CF Admin, and so you'd want to look at the "Configuring and Administering CF" manual, and of course you'd want it for CF 6, not CF9. They're offered at http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/coldfusion/documentation.html. Unfortunately, while the links to the PDFs there work, the links to the HTML versions do not, and sadly it can't even be found via the good ole "internet wayback machine":
But regardless, you'll face a different annoyance even if you find the docs, in that you say you're running CF Standard. That license of CF does not provide a way to export CF Admin settings. That's only an Enterprise feature, found in the Packaging & Deployment option on the left nav bar, for "ColdFusion Archives", which you won't even see in CF Standard.
But here's a trick, which if this is a production machine you should only do at an off hour, when you can stop your web site. If you remove your CF license key (from the "system information" page in the CF Admin), that will revert CF to "Developer" mode, which is the full Enterprise functionality--but limited to allowing only up to 3 IP addresses to connect to CF. That's why you need to not only do this at an off hour, but it would be best if you could stop your web sites, or at least all but that which you need to get to the CF Admin.
Then you can export the settings, and import them into another Enterprise or Developer edition of CF.
As for step-by-step instructions for the process of creating the archives (a car file), there are many out on the web, such as:
    http://www.iknowkungfoo.com/blog/index.cfm/2008/4/5/Yo-Adrian-How-do-I-backup-my-ColdFusio n-Admin-settings
    http://www.quackit.com/coldfusion/coldfusion_archive_and_deploy.cfm
    or a simplified checklist at:
    http://www.code-complete.com/code/index.php?/archives/21-Using-Coldfusion-Archives-to-migr ate-datasources.html
    Hope that helps.
