Export contacts to excel

How do I export contacts to excel ?

See my posts here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/21653759#21653759
I know I posted another one relating to Numbers, but can't find it.
Instead of sending to a TextEdit document, you can just send it to the clipboard (there is an action for that).
Then paste it into Excel.
Ok, here is the one with the clipboard action: https://discussions.apple.com/message/22309780#22309780

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    Given your very brief description, I've no real idea exactly what you are attempting, nor with what. So, I'll just go to the beginning...please see this KB for instructions as to how to export your contacts to a CSV file, which Excel can then import:
    KB24488 How to export contacts from a BlackBerry smartphone using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6
    Note that this requires the V6 level of the RIM Desktop Software...that function was removed starting with V7. If you don't have V6, then you can obtain it here:

    Otherwise, please expand your problem description so that we can understand your situation.
    Good luck!

    ANyone know how I can get names and emails from my Contacts list into Excel or Numbers?

    Million times easier: just drag & drop the contact(s) you want from the contacts app into a new Numbers spreadsheet. Magically makes a table. Apparently this has been around for a long time. Wish I knew abt this earlier. It's awesome!

  • How to save Android contacts as Excel file on Mac computer?

    I want to manage and edit my contacts on my cell phone, my friend suggested me save them as Excel format! So now i am trying this way, but i can't find the right method to do this! Do you know how to save Android contacts as Excel file on Mac computer?

    If you want to save Android Phone contacts to Excel format, you can have a try the following method:
    Step 1. Connect Your Android Phone to Computer
    After downloading and installing the Coolmuster Android Assistant software on your computer, launch it and you will get the program interface prompts you to connect your phone to the computer. Just use a USB cable to connect your phone to the computer and the program will detect the connected phone automatically. If it is the first time to run this software, you may encounter the following picture and be required to enable USB debugging on your phone at first. If your device can be detected by the program, you can directly skip to the next step.
    Step 2: Go to the Contacts windows
    All your phone data are categorized on the top menu. To transfer Android phone's contacts, you can go to click the "Contacts" icon to enter the Contacts window. Navigate to the left panel and click on the "All Contacts" option, then, all the contacts in your phone will show in list on the right window. Mark the contacts you want to backup on your computer and click the button of "Backup".
    Step 3. Start to export contacts to computer at once
    Once you click on the "Backup" button, there will be a "Path" dialog appears, asking you to choose an output location where you want to save the exported contacts. Specify an output folder and then click the "Ok" button. Then, all your phone contacts will be exported to the output location immediately, with all the email address, company's name, home address, and more contacts info perfectly kept in the output CSV or XLS file.

    You can import the excel file to Outlook, for one method, and them Sync your Outlook file to the BlackBerry using Desktop Manager.
     Another is to export that Excel file to an ASCII file text file and import it directly (without Outlook) using Desktop Manager.

  • Exporting list to excel..order changes?

    hello. thanks for the time and effort.
    i'm a SharePoint 2013 noob. so forgive the simple question.  we moved a team site from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013 and now a user is complaining that when they export to excel the list they see in IE the order gets changed around when it is exported
    to Excel. They said it worked in SP 2010 where the list they saw on the team site was exported in the same order to Excel.  It's an odd question that I wouldn't know where to start to look.  Thanks again.
    Also i did see that it cannot be exported when you open the site in Chrome due to ActiveX controls.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to  exporting list to excel. However, the orders were changed.
    I recommend to create a page and add a Data View Web part using SPD on the page and then use SharePoint list as a Data source and add all items into the web part.
    Then from Data view web part exported data to excel.
    In addition, I recommend to modify view to remove the content type column.
    Here are two similar blogs for your reference:
    Question sequence is disordered when we export a survey list to excel
    SharePoint 2010 Export to Excel 2010 Fails to Export All Fields in Some Views
    The list cannot be exported when you open the site in Chrome due to ActiveX controls.
    An ActiveX control is used in SharePoint 2013 to validate if you have Excel installed or not.  You can try it out with Chrome on Windows -- it will fail.
    Take a look at these ActiveX controls in use with SharePoint 2013:

  • Moving contacts from excel to cellolar

    Hello,
    I have a new nokia 6120. I saved the contact names of my old phone in excel file. I want to update the contacts from the excel to the new phone. I tried using the nokia pc suite but I couldn’t find the option of loading contacts from excel.
    Is it possible?
    Please Advice
    Amir

    Whilst in outlook go to:
    import & export > import from another program or file > comma separated value file (windows) > Next and then browse for your file and follow through the prompts.
    There is also an option to import from excel, this may work better.
    It won't work if your data is incorrectly formatted, i'm not an expert on this so you will have to give google a try.

  • Export contacts from Outlook 2013 as CSV - no email

    Hello;
    I am trying to sync all of my contacts, and in the process I'm getting a lot of contacts that need merging.  i.e.:
    Two contact records for one, John Smith.  One record has phone and address while the other has the email.  I want one use Excel and an Add-On to Combine rows like this...
    Contacts to Merge
    Name
    Phone
    Address
    Email
    John Smith
    555-111-2222
    1234 Main St
    John Smith
    [email protected]
    Desired Results
    Name
    Phone
    Address
    Email
    John Smith
    555-111-2222
    1234 Main St
    [email protected]
    However, when I export contacts that are from Outlook's "Connect to social network" I'm not getting the email from all my contacts in the exported CSV so combining rows in Excel doesn't help anything.
    These are two contacts I want to merge into one.  One is from Facebook/LinkdedIn and the other is from my iPhone.
     When I export my contacts I get a record for each contact, but the email doesn't show up in the CSV.
    Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

    Does anyone know a way that I can export my contact list from Verizon Webmail to Outlook Express? Kindly help if you can. Many Thanks.

    Unfortunately there is no option in Verizon Webmail to save your contacts. And I am not aware of any utility or tool from anywhere that would do it for you, although of course there might be something available.
    About the only thing I can think of would be to use copy and paste from the webmail Contacts into Excel or some other spreadsheet and then save that as a .csv file to be imported into Outlook Express. Crude, and if you have a lot of contacts would take quite a while, but should work I think.
    Sorry I don't have any more ideas for you. Maybe someone else can come up with a better suggestion

  • BT Yahoo Mail export contacts - help please!

    Hello,
    I'm trying to export my contacts from Bt Yahoo mail. I select all, click actions, click export all, click yahoo csv. However when I come to import contacts with outlook 2003 (I have also tried with gmail) only one (the top one) is imported. Also, when I open the CSV with Excel I can only see that one contact (an error message also appears saying "file not loaded completely). I have tried the same exporting contacts to an outlook csv with the same results. I have also tried selecting just some contacts but, equally, only the first one gets exported. I have also tried to sync my outlook with the account with yahoo sync, but no luck.
    I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?
    Gail

    Cheers but in the end I just exported all contacts as a "vCard, Zip of .VCF files" and imported each one individually to outlook then exported contacts as a csv file, then imported that to gmail.
    Labourious, but possibly a solution unless anyone else out there has anything better?

  • Issue while exporting report in Excel Format

    Hello,
    I am facing problem while exporting the report in Excel Format. After analysis, I think that it could be due to two reasons, either we are using wrong versions of Jars, or we are using wrong API. Here is the code, approaches and problems we are facing. Please help.
    First approach we are using is:
    // using basic API
    import com.crystaldecisions.reports.sdk.ReportClientDocument;
    // get client document from crystal report API and open the report by specifying the report name, with path
                   ReportClientDocument reportClientDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
                   reportClientDoc.open( reportPath, 0 );
                   // give chance to extending classes to configure the report document by POJO or by sql parameter etc, just adding the parameters infromation using ParameterFieldController
                   configureReportDocument( reportClientDoc, reportMetadata, reportData, reportContext );
                   // get data source of crystal report
                   Object reportSource = reportClientDoc.getReportSource();
                   // export the data - we have also tried with MSExcel format
                   ReportExportFormat exportFormat =  ReportExportFormat.recordToMSExcel;
                   LOGGER.debug( "exportFormat[" + exportFormat + "]" );
                   ByteArrayInputStream byteArray = (ByteArrayInputStream) reportClientDoc.getPrintOutputController().export(
                             exportFormat );
    Problem Faced: Specified Excel format is not supported.
    Second Approach: We come to know that excel format is supported with new releases and with occa package.
    Then we tried with import com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.application.ReportClientDocument; It ask to set the ReportServer. When we are trying to set the server as
                   reportClientDoc.setReportAppServer(ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString);
    Application is unable to find 'ReportClientDocument.inprocConnectionString' property. It seems like we are using some old jars. However we have downloaded the latest released jars for eclipse 2.
    Please help for it. Issue is to export the report in excel format, which is currently working fine for PDF. If this problem is related to Jars, please suggest the path to download the latest jars. We also looking for the latest jars like rasapp and rascore etc. But these are not available with Crystal Report for Eclipse 2 release.
    Waiting for urgent help. Thanks you..
    Regards,
    Mohit
