Export Content Server Files in iLearning 5.0

is there a way to export content server files in ilearnin 5.0?
In the properties screen of rco i see the option for update/cancel/publish/unpublish/offer/import/export/upload files
but there is nothing which will download files from content server
any help??

If the content resides on the content server and you click export next to an RCO, there is an option on the export screen for SCORM 1.2 to download the content as well, so this can be done individually for each content object to obtain its content.

Reporting agent document export to server file

Hello, we want to export the reporting agent document to an output file in the BW server. I have seen that there is the possibility to export it to a local file, does anybody know if it is possible also for the server file?
Another idea is to access this document through an abap file, I guess this document is stored in the bw server somehow, does anybody know if it can be done through ABAP?

I've found that function SDOK_PHIO_LOAD_CONTENT, returns the file content, in table file_content_ascii.
The entry parameter that should be filled is object_id, with class equal to BW_PH_TML and objdi field equal to the one that appear when you access the document properties in the reporting agent menu.
The point know is how to get the list of documents that I can see in the Reporting agent menu using ABAP.

I stored the word document file using DMS attachment in SAP content server.
and i fetched http url Path from content server.

Content Server File Information

Hi Experts,
We upload files through BSP portal and store it in content server.
Now we need to do an Analysis on the size of the document that is been uploaded every month.
Is it possible to get this info through any DB table.

We found a solution for transfering GTS documents "back" into ERP system. A report send the binary data from GTS server to ERP server and creates a document link on the original invoice. Now we are able to show and print this documents with transaction VF03 as PDF.
Issue solved ;-)

Hi,
I see one of the pre-requisites is to install apache web server (1.3.xx) for unix environment. The install manual should tell on compilation of Apache webserver.
Then in the post-installation step, you should restart apache web server.
Please note that you should always use native compiler to compile Apache of your platform

How much storage do you have left on that 64GB SSD? 4GB ram is fairly comfortable (if you're doing absolutely nothing else) while using Flash. The paired down tablet specs are most certainly crimping the performance.
You have to know apps like Photoshop may let you brush but the application is primarily a bitmap engine which operates at memory speed and certainly has no overhead from being a multimedia, scriptable IDE. As you pile up dozens of layers, especially with vectors and filters, Photoshop will also start to lag just the same.
You have to keep in mind, you really have a tablet. The i5 1.6GHz is not a normal i5, it's a mobile i5 product. I have an i5 quad also (2500k), but the desktop model (Sandy/Ivy) runs at 3.7GHz in turbo, and that's an old model (Sandy). Also the desktop i5 has Intel HD4000 graphics which is extremely slow (outside simple video playback) and your i5 is even slower, only Intel HD3000 graphics. Clearly there's a big difference and you should expect tablet performance.
Just about the only thing you can do to increase performance, especially in a vector heavy app, is reduce any other things going on. Slim out your OS as best you can, removing any unnecessary apps or services running. Update all your drivers and if you're not using WHQL drivers for the HD3000 on your display driver you should revert back to Win7 for fully supported drivers (which is the version of Windows I think the Slate originally came with). Unless something is corrupt or no WHQL driver support exists for HD3000, I don't see what else it can be besides perhaps no WHQL support for your input driver either.
I'm on a 5 year old Dell touchscreen laptop at a higher resolution (1600x900) running an old i7 @ 1.6GHz quad (similar to yours) with 4GB DDR2 (slower) and Flash runs perfectly fine. Although I'm not running Intel HD graphics. I'm running it on a discreet ATI Mobility Radeon HD.

How to export photos out that are store in content server into jpeg

Hi, I have a sap content server 6.4 running on Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition (64-Bit)and is use to archive photos in it for the purpose of CV retrieval. DB is Max DB is 7.6.
We will be upgrading into OpenText and there is a request to export all these photos from Content server 6.4 into jpegs files.
Appreciate if anyone can provide some help here.

Content Server 6.40 Presents a Save As dialog for ContentServer.dll file

hi All
we have installed successfully the content server 6.40 on a windows 2008 with iis 7 environment. The installation wen successfully with no errors. however when we run a test by calling the URL http://<server>:<port>/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo URL, instead of getting a response, we are getting a save as file dialog to save the dll file. Also, after the installation, even with the install website tick checked, the website was not installed. we had to do the installation of the website manually for the port.
With content server 620 on windows 2000 this was never the case
if anywone has an idea on how to resolve the issue, please advice

to anyone else who could be going through the same issue, see if the solution below solves your issue
The website should get created if all the roles in IIS 7.0 are installed. Therefore, please try to install the IIS 7.0 by selecting
all the roles followed by installation of the SAP Content Server. By doing so, websites should be created automatically.
In the IIS 7.0, all the roles are not selected during the installation by default. Please make sure all the below roles are included and IIS 7.0 is installed, as per the installation manual for the Content Server on Windows 2008:

Copy any kind of file from content server to network directory

The question:
I nee to copy any kind of file from content server to any network directory.
Explanation
1. transaction CV02N
2. There is attached file for a document in tab "Document data/Original"
3. This file stored in content server
4. I wrote program code that creates path of the stored file that finally looks like
http://cont:8888/ContentServer.dll?get&Version=.....*...&compid=app1.doc
where app1.doc is file's name and I have to copy this file into network directory.
The problem is that this URL open the file instead of just pointing to him
so that no function or method can't see this file and as the result I got message that
the file doesn\t exist.
Please, advice.

but i would like to hear a little more from u. i have another question. here in this code (provided earlier), i searched for attribute values in the manifest file, then again i load the required class file from the very url. is it not good to retrieve the whole jar file first, and then check attribute values inside manifest file and load the required class files from that jar file that is already downloaded without going to that url again? how can i do this?

concerning your first question - please decribe, what you are trying to do.
Question 2:
LOIO_ID is the ID of the Logical Information Object. A LOIO is not a real document, but kind of a virtual document, a containerfor all "real" versions of a document. A PHIO (physical info object) is a real document.

Content Server Report- Document types with file sizes & Status history

We are about to start with implementing Seal Systems, however we are a global company with to start with 4 content servers in different regions of the world. In order to determine bandwidth for future strategies, I need to know what is stored on each content server in terms of document types, type file and size of files attached to each document type and of course date created and status changes of each document.
In addition we are of course contemplating usage of SAP Cache servers, not only for better responses, but also for backup purposes.
What we are using is SAP ECC 6 with the content servers using MAX DB. I have contemplated creating a Z program in order to return only the required information for import in Excel where I can then manipulate the returned result to a report which fits us.
But before I start with this, does anyone know of any report or tools just to do that within SAP? I have seen these capabilities in other PLM solutions.
I would appreciate any feedback in this regard

maybe transaction DB20 could help you here.
From DMS side tables DMS_PHIO2FILE and DMS_PH_CD1 are most relevant for original data stored in Content Server.
Regarding the changes of documents report MCDOKABL will show you all the changes done for a specific document.
For maintaining and monitoring content repositories please see transaction CSADMIN.

Problems to access files in Content Server

We recently did a migration of our DMS.
Initially our DMS was located in Sao Paulo and we changed our DMS server to Rio de Janeiro.
We kept the same version of the DMS, the same operating system and the same server configuration.
After this migration we are unable to view the original files (PDFs, DWGs,
etc..) that have been filed in Content Server.
We are receving the following error when we are trying to access file:
c: temp Regal FISPQ.pdf can not be created.
In transaction SLG1 we're getting the 404 Not Found error.
We debugged the program 'SCMS_HTTP_GET_FILE' and received the error file not found.
Can you help me?

unfortunately it's not that easy. Mobile Documents provides with NW ABAP 7.40 SP10 an API which, if you implement it, allows you to expose data from basically any ABAP system. Currently the API only provides read support, but we are already working on enabling write and versioning support also.

Everytime i try to update an article within a folio in DPS folio builder i get this error :
Content generation error.
[Error: Failed to Export the PDF file.]
My colleague next to me is running exactly the same set up and doesnt get the error. in fact his update anf sideloading is fast as lightning.
the ONLY difference is that im running v28 tools and he is on v27, however wehave another colleague running v28 and his updates work perfectly.
Any ideas lovely community?
