Export Controller has stopped working
Help,
Whenever I try to export a video, Quicktime crashes and gives me the following error, "Export Controller has stopped working". I'm running a dual core app with Vista premium. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime. My system has also crashed a couple of times since this error has occurred.
Thanks,
Frank
Dual Core Windows Vista
A permissions glitch I think, Marz, masquerading as the Export Controller thing we saw a reasonable amount of a few versions ago. (I just checked the wife's 64-bit Vista lappie, and the QuickTime Player Start menu shortcut should have a run as administrator in the right-click menus ... whether that's part of your permissions trouble or a seperate business isn't clear, I'm afraid.)
The bulk of those "Export Controller" errors got fixed by an update to Apple Application Support, but I was involved in an epically long-running thread back then where we found that for a rare subset of them: (a) Run as administrator would launch the QuickTime Player without the message, and (b) in other admin user accounts on the same PC, the QuickTime Player could be launched normally without the message.
Since then I've seen a few other similar user-account-specific issues (with different error messages) where the same run-as-administrator trick gets you past the troubles. The precise error message seems to depend on which file/folder/key your user account loses a permission on.
Finding the dodgy permission can be a pain ... I don't have a reliable technique for that. But one workaround you might want to try is using the QuickTimePlayer.exe compatibility tab to set the Player to always run as administrator. (Unfortunately, it's usually a bit more reliable a workaround on 7 than it is on Vista.)
Quit the QuickTime Player if you have it open. Track down the QuickTimePlayer.exe file again, right-click and select "Properties". In the Compatibility tab, select "Run as administrator" and click OK.
Try launching the Player again ... does it launch without the Export Controller error? Or do you instead get one of the error messages described in the following document?

Vista STILL getting "Export Controller has stopped working" problem
Everyone knows about the "Export Controller has stopped working" problem. The error message displays, then half a minute later, you get a "Quicktime has stopped working" error message. I have Googled it numerous times and I have never found anything more than what I did the first time. As far as I'm aware there are still no fixes for this problem. I believe there has been about three Quicktime updates since the first release of Quicktime 7, when this problem arose, and none have made any difference. Reinstalling and uninstalling + redownloading doesn't work, and I am not prepared to downgrade to an older version of iTunes, or buy a Mac. If anyone has any possible fix for this, please post here. I wish Apple would do something about this.

Quicktime 7.6.6 VISTA Export Controller Has stopped Working
Hi,
with Quicktime 7.6.6 on my Vista PC, when I start it I get a Message "Export Controller has stopped working"
When starting it within a browser (eg: Apple Website to watch a keynote) I get a message "Quicktime player has stopped working"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Any tips please ?
Thanks,
MattHi,
Ive got the same problem with Quicktime 7.5.5 on my PC but im not using itunes. It only happens when I open the first instance of Quicktime then it pauses for a while before launching. Every other instance opens normally, but if I close them all and open a new instance, it happens again.
Maybe no biggy cause it eventually opens anyway it doesnt bother me so much but it still pretty frustrating.
Heres the error report...

Controller assigments stop working?? Any Fix??
I have an M-Audio Oxygen 49 Keyboard and recently made a New Autoload with Key Commands and Midi controller assignments for transport controls, and some toggle windows... After about 20 minutes of messing around I went to press record on my Oxygen and it didn't work....infact all of the controller assignments stopped working...This has happened in both L7 and L8 with fresh autoloads?
I made a copy of the preferences file in 7, and also exported the Key commands in 8 to the desktop...I tried to reload them into their respective programs and still nothing.... I had to go back physically and reassign all of them...
I have tried trashing prefs on both 8 and 7, and cant seem to figure out how to get them to start working again other than program them all in....which is so long and not worth the hassle!!
Any ideas if you can kick start the midi assignments back into operation after they stop working??
Is this a bug on both platforms? I am old school and fairly new to Controller assigments...
Many Thanks
Rob

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working [Lightroom 5 Beta]
I was looking for a Lightroom 5 Beta forum but am unable to find one. Today, I downloaded and installed LR5 Beta on my new HP Envy 64-bit Windows 8 machine. After running an installation, I started the program. At first, it asked about opening a catalogue during which time I created a new one as I have no intention of using my LR4 catalogue for LR5B. After creating the catalogue, it stated the following:
"Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
After it closed, I tried opening it again. Same result. No matter how many times I tried, the program would not open. I tried reinstalling the program to no avail using the "repair" feature. Finally, I just removed the program.

InDesign CC has Stopped Working when I try to edit a particular document
Hi, I am working on a large price list document of 200 pages. Basically it's a very long table which spans the whole 200 pages and is formated to show in two columns on each page.
My InDesign is working fine normally, and it allowed me to create this document ok yesterday, however, after quitting out of the document yesterday, it will nolonger allow me to open it. When I try to go back into the document it crashes with the Indesign CC has stopped working error. I dont think the file is corrupt as I took a backup of it straight after quitting out of it and the backup also won't allow me back in it. (I took the backup because I had the same issue when I tried to create a similar document just after CC was launched)
Example of document:
Ive looked at Windows Even Viewer and the error that it shows is as follows:
InDesign.exe
9.2.0.69
5297b4c4
Public.dll
9.2.0.69
5297b401
c0000005

D:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC (64 bit)\Public.dll
813d1150-ab6a-11e3-801b-8851fb5e5754
I dont get this crash with any other documents I work on, Anybody any ideas please?
Thanks
RichNot much to go on there.
A couple of things to try..
See if it will open after a reboot.
See if it will open in the 32 bit version. That also should be installed by default on your Windows system.
See if it will open in a different user account.
Try the blind export script and then open the .idml if successful: Adobe Community: InDesign 6 is crashing when attempting to open a particular document. All others are opening OK. -
Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300 has stopped working
I have Firefox 13.0.1, Win 7 Home Edition 64 bit, latest adobe flash player version 11.3.300.262. Latest nvidia drivers 301.42 - WHQL, 260 gtx nvidia card. I did a clean reinstall for nvidia drivers, and flash drivers, still same problem.
Everytime I go to fullscreen mode, my screen turns white and I have to left click on my mouse so the white screen goes away(otherwise the white screen hangs indefinite), I get a windows message stating adobe flash player has stopped working. After that I get send crash report for adobe.
Image to when the flash crashes. http://i.imgur.com/fX7Ld.jpg
This never happened with Adobe flash player 11.2, never. With the latest update it crashes, everytime I go fullscreen. This happens on http://www.twitch.tv streams, any livestreams. Youtube seems to be fine, when going fullscreen mode. And no, I don't have RealPlayer installed. I only have 3 addons installed and enable. Adobe Acrobat, Flash, and Silverlight, all latest editions. Everything else is disabled, or uninstalled.
I've Disabled Hardware accelartion in firefox still same problem, but with flash hardware acceleration enabled. I've tried Firefox Safe mode with all addons disabled, same problem.

"Adobe elements has stopped working."
I've received the error "Adobe elements has stopped working" and then the program closes. It has happened numerous times and now happens more and more often. Does anyone have any fixes for this?
I've been having the same problem.
Win7 64bit 8GB RAM, 500GB free hard drive space. All Win updates in place on a regular basis (last time was 2 days ago).
I often get the "stopped working" popup message on my desktop right after I close the program (well, yeah, I would hope it would stop working when I close it) and also increasingly get it on the desktop when I open the program (before the PE12 screen opens). This latter popup "stopped working" message will persist until I close the popup window, even though the program is working just fine.
The most occurrences of actual crashes seem to be when doing a lot of titles (new or editing existing), when saving, and when exporting.
For awhile it seemed (very subjectively) that rendering the project before saving or exporting possibly helped reduce the number of occurrences, but just now the "stopped working" message popped up and the program quit while I was rendering (got about 80% through).
This time I checked the "check online for a solution" box, but to no avail--there was a brief period while Windows searched online, and then the program shut down anyway.
I've tried rebooting, making sure other programs were closed, etc. but nothing really seems to have much effect. The same project will save or export just fine on one occasion, then if I so much as change a word in a title it will become unstable. The entire project is 26 minutes long. One video track (2) with titles, one main video track (1), one audio track (mostly empty) of ambient sound with the video, one sound track.
I will try Steve's suggestion of Ctrl-Alt-Shift for awhile on opening. (This helps when PSE tools freeze up.) Thanks for the tip! -
"Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 has stopped working" but was working fine a week ago...
On my desktop (Dell XPS 8300), I keep getting the error message "Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 has stopped working" when openng up a previously created project or trying to create a new one in Premiere Pro CS6.
On my laptop (MS Surface Pro 2), I can load projects and edit them, but I cannot export media. When I try, it just sits there and does nothing. I've also tried sending it to Media Encoder, but that doesn't help either. Sometimes, it crashes too.
I'm running Windows 8.1 on both with the latest updates installed.
Oddly, this started roughly around the same time on both computers.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, but that didn't help.
I've run the Windows troubleshooter and that didn't help either.
I've tried running as an administrator, and running the program in compatibility mode for Windows 8, 7 and Vista - that doesn't solve the issue either.
At this point, I can't do any work and am even considering paying for CC even though I just dropped $700 on CS6 last year, but I'm wondering if that would even solve the issue, or if the CC version would also not work...>started roughly around the same time on both computers
Most likely cause is a Windows update that changed "something" about the video system
Check the vendor site (NOT Windows update) for a newer video driver

Adobe InDesign CC2014 has stopped working
I subscribed 2 days ago to Adobe CC but am unable to work on InDesign without getting this response....
"Adobe InDesign CC2014 has stopped working... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Close program"
Where is Adobe on this issue—any explanation? If you are able to open ID and do other work, the problem has nothing to do with permissions, so you may safely ignore all of that stuff.
This sounds like some sort of corruption in the style or specific text, ot perhaps a corrupt font (but that would probably cause a crash in ID at launch or whenever the font is used). Start with the technique out lined here: Remove minor corruption by exporting
If that does not work, see if you are able to export the problem story to InDesign Tagged Text (click the cursor anywhere in the story, but don't make a selection, then choose export from the file menu and tagged text from the type dropdown). Place the tagged text into a new frame, then use copy/paste to replace the original text. -

Adobe InDesign CS6 Has stopped working error message
Hi,
I have Adobe InDesign CS6 on Windows 7 64 bits Enterprise Edition
When I open a document and try to export the document to pdf my indesign crash whith following message "Adobe inDesign CS6 has stopped working"
It happens on some docuemnts but now all documents.
Please help. Was that a typo and you meant NOT all documents?
Windows isn't quite as easy to diagnose crashes as Mac becuase it doen't providet he same crash reports, so we pretty much have to play Twenty Questions...
Let's start with some basic troubleshooting. Presuming this is isolated to just some files, start with this: Remove minor corruption by exporting
If that doesn't work, can you export half of the doc at a time?
Create a new user account onthe machine and log in using that. Are you able to export the document to PDF without a crash? -
"Adobe Media Core CS5.5 has stopped working"
Whenever I try to encode using the Quicktime-H.264 codec in Adobe Media Encoder, I get a crash that states "Adobe Media Core CS5.5 has stopped working". Also I have tried to encode using this codec directly within Premiere Pro with the "Export" button instead of the "Queue" button, but the encode doesn't progress and eventually locks up the application. I have downloaded the most current version of Quicktime, and have made sure that all of my Adobe products are up-to-date. Encoding with other Quicktime codecs such as "Animation" work, but the h.264 just will not.
What has me confused is that we just upgraded to new computers and did a clean install of CS5.5. Encoding with this codec works just fine on the old machines. Below you will see my system info as well as the error "Problem Signature". Any help to resolve this issue?
