Export current running configs from several devices
We are currently running LMS 4.0 and have been collecting running configs on several of our devices. Is there a folder that retains the running configs or do I need to run a report and export from the report? If a report what report do I run. I have been digging into the interface and I am not finding a solution so any assistance would be great.
CSM event viewer supports events from the ASA/FWSM virtual contexts ony if each context is discovered in CSM configuration manager with separete mangement IP.
Please try to discover the contexts as independent devices with separate management IP.

Copy startup or running config from 2811 rommon
I have a 2811 that has a bad CF slot. I don't have a USB stick small enough (4GB is the smallest, unless it'll use it partitioned as a 2GB) to copy IOS to the 2811. Right now I'm trying to copy the IOS image via xmodem into DRAM and booting that way. TFTP kept failing.
If this doesn't work, is there a way to copy the startup/running-config from rommon? Even if I can just view the config that would be fine. I thought I had the config copied off of it, but can't find it for the life of me.TFTP transfers fail, I've tried it a couple of times. I'm going to try xmodem again.
I can get into priv mode, but meminfo will not give me the hex addresses needed to dump. I get the hex address of the start of the main memory, nothing else.
Edit: The xmodem download completed, but I get the same error as trying to boot from the CF card:
Error : uncompressed image checksum is incorrect 0x5D7BD774
Expected a checksum of 0x357BD795

How to backup a "show tech" and a "running config" from MDS switches
hi, guys
I am a newbie of MDS switches.
but I got a request this week asking me to actively backup a "show tech" and a "running config" from the MDS switches........
so my questions are:
1) if I want to back up MDS configurations, which commnds should I run? or just "show tech" is enough?
2) is the MDS itself have the backup function? for example can ftp the configuration to someplace?
please help point me the right direction or is there any official referece docs I can refer to ?
thanks in advance!!!tftp worked for me but not ftp. My ftp requires a password and I don't know how to send it via scheduler job.
Worked:
scheduler job name BkupConfig
copy running-config startup-config
copy startup-config tftp://10.1.1.1/MDS_Bkup/DowMDS$(TIMESTAMP).txt

I have a 1TB Time capsule, I would like to attach a USB drive to the Time Capsule and transfer my iTunes Library to it so I can run itunes from wifi. I am new to network stuff. My current iTunes library is on a USB drive velcro'd to the back of my Macbook - rather inconvenient, the USB port is loose. The music files are external but the library files with ratings/play counts are in the iTunes folder. Advice please? Be gentle and assume I know nothing please!
Thanks
scottSetting it up the way you have with the library on the internal and just the media on the external makes it a lot more tricky to move things around. If it was all on the external you could do in the time it takes to copy the files plus about 20 seconds.
You can use the same library file, except in that file are references pointing to the media files on the USB drive. Are you planning on doing this with the same USB drive that you are using right now>? It is possible it may work. If the configuration is that you have SongA on USB drive Fred, as long as the drive remains named Fred then you should be able to move it to a different point of attachment. If you are planning on using a different USb drive you can try renaming the new USB drive to the exact same name as the existing one and maybe trick iTunes into not noticing the difference.
This is where having as much detail as possible when posting an issue is helpful so we don't have to consider every possible configuration. -
Missing events from several devices within event viewer
Hi
I'm running a CSM v4.1.0 which manages several FWSM blades and device contexts. Although all context share the same syslog policies within CSM the events off half of the contexts are not shown in the event viewer. I ran a sniffer on the server, so that I could verify that syslog messages from all contexts are arriving. But somehow the CSM ignores the syslog messages. All contexts are selectable within the "Custom Filter for Device" so the CSM should be aware off them. Well off course he should be aware, as he has all the configurations of the contexts. ;-)
What am I missing? Is it a bug? Is there a limitation to the number off supperted eventing devices?
Kind regards
RobertoCSM event viewer supports events from the ASA/FWSM virtual contexts ony if each context is discovered in CSM configuration manager with separete mangement IP.
Please try to discover the contexts as independent devices with separate management IP. -
I want to have access to some PDF's and pictures for example on my iPad when i saved it to iCloud on my MacBook. Is that possible? How? (Sry for my bad English, I'm from Germany and didn't use iCloud before )
iCloud does not offer a generic file storage facility.
Try using an alternative service such as Dropbox, GoogleDrive, OneDrive, SugarSync, Box etc. which does offer this facility. -
Export from capture devices problem !!
Hi,
I'm trying to export audio and video from capture devices (typically a mic. and a web cam), the capture process goes fine, I can even preview everything, but the problem comes when I try to export, I always get the "NoDataSinkException", and I don't know why ??
Please, I need help urgentlyhmm..I ment that although the jmf pack is installed the program is not detecting any video devices, but when I run jmstudio the program detect video devices successfully.. so my question is..where is the problem?; when I copy the jmstudio sorce code to my ECLIPSE I run it but when I ask the program to seach for video devices the program can't detect any video devices!

Export TMG config from EMS Array to standalone?
A similar question was raised in this thread, but was not answered. I have a test array that is managed by an EMS, and I
am attempting to export that configuration into a production standalone array without an EMS.
If I do a standard export / import, I get the error:
"The value specified for the parameter Scope is not valid for standalone mode"
If I attempt to use the script
here, I receive the same error.
I hoped the EESingleServerConversion tool would do the trick, but that apparently is only for ISA to TMG (gives error "Error: This tool supports files exported from the root node only.").
I am fully patched to SP2.Hi,
Thank you for the post.
I did some research and test. It seems like we can migrate from standalone array to EMS.
But we cannot directly export the entire config from EMS to standalone array.

Cisco WLC 5500 ver.8 running config
Does anybody have a complete "show-run" running config from a 5500 series controller, "sanitized" of course, they would care to post to share?
I need to create some config examples and do not have a piece of hardware to work with.

I have experienced this problem since purchasing a brand new MacBook in October 2012, basically the App Store permanently displays "1 Update Available" for iTunes 10.7 but clicking the "Update" button only results in the following error "A server with the specified hostname could not be found.(-1003)" so I have always had to go around the App Store & download & install iTunes updates directly from the iTunes webpage. I am currently running the latest version of iTunes 11.0.5 (5) & what I believe is the latest version of OS X 10.8.4 (12E55) & I simply wish to stop the App Store displaying this update that doesn't work anyway & relates to a year old version of iTunes!!!
Note: It may or may not be of importance but the same problem was also happening for iPhoto & iMovie but I was able to locate fixes for these issues which entailed changing a filename in both applications' "Contents" folders from "_MASReceipt" to "_MASReceipt_FAULTY" (although I believe I could have renamed it anything!) I obviously tried a similar thing for iTunes & App Store separately but unlike iMovie & iPhoto which were fixed immediately the recommended changes were made, these modifications did not resolve the issue which persists to this day & isn't critical but is just annoying!!!Search for "iTunes" in Spotlight and make sure you don't have an outdated copy lying around, perhaps on a backup volume.

I have a MAC Pro from 2011 currently running MAC OS 10.9.5. This weekend I cloned the MAC HD drive to a new SSD drive for improved performance. The clone was completed successfully with no errors. After the clone completed I successfully restarted my system using the SSD as the boot device. I then successfully tested all of my products, including Photoshop CS6 and all of its plug-ins. I successfully tested the key features that I frequently use. Today while attempting to launch Photoshop CS6 a message is being displayed indicating that a scratch disk cannot be found. All drives are available on the system via the Finder and Disk Utility. I can access all drives including the old MAC HD which is no longer the boot device. I've even attempted to launch Photoshop from the old device yet the same error persist. Is there a way to review/edit/change Photoshop preferences if Photoshop doesn't launch? I've even restarted my system several times to see if that would resolve the issues. Does anyone have any recommendations for this issue? Have you previously address this issue?
Thank you Gregg WilliamsBoilerplate text:

My wife and I both have iPhones and iPads. Can we both have access to the same iTunes Match library or do we have to have separate subscriptions? Our devices are synced to the same computer and we currently download titles from the same library. We both use separate apple id's on our devices.
You need to reconfigure your phone for use with your Apple ID. I suggest you restore yours as new then reconfigure it with your information and Apple ID. Be sure to disable Find My Phone, if it's enabled, before proceeding.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Hi,
my update to 10.3.1.1565 messed the handwriting input up on my phone. so I tried to downgrade to 10.2.1, upon doing so all my files were wiped, however I thought I was being smart by doing a complete backup this morning while running 10.3.1.1565 prior to attempting the os downgrade to 10.2.1 using BlackBerry Link,
Anyway I had to restore my device back to 10.3.1.1565 and now when I attempt to do a restore using the .bbb ( backup ) which I created earlier on today i.e getting the following error message:
blackberry 10 the data isn't compatible with the version of the device software that you are currently running
the software versions on my phone now and the software version when I did my backup are exactly the same 10.3.1.1565. I'm able to restore my user files and apps ect, as it offers to do a partial restore,., but my contacts, and remember files are now gone. I NEED THESE. how do I get these back..
please help..
Thanks,
