Export DVR Recordings/Increase DVR HD Size

I'm thinking of upgrading from my current 2 channel DVR to FiOS quantum TV with the 6 channel tuner. My biggest issue is that my twin 3 year olds have several movies recorded on the 2 channel DVR (most of the space is taken up by their stuff) and if I upgrade to the quantum DVR I will lose the recordings.
I was told by Verizon when I was ordering quantum that there was a way to export the recordings from the old DVR on to an external drive and import them to the new quantum DVR.
2 points.
1) Is it even at all possible to transfer these recordings to the new DVR?
2) I just got my Verizon recommended WD external esata drive. I went through the onscreen instructions for getting my external drive to work with the DVR. All it did was reboot and then go back to the TV. However, when I unplugged the esata cable and plugged it back in, a box piped up on my screen that said something to the effect of, "An unidentified external drive was detected. If you would like to use this drive then all of your current recordings will be removed. Press yes to continue." Something along those lines.
So the second question is, if I were to tell it to move forward with using the new external drive, is it going to move those recordings over to the new external drive and I will still be able to watch them?
And 3) if the recordings do in fact move over to the new external drive, is it possible to move them on to the new quantum DVR?

You were given BAD information, the person you were talking with is 100% incorrect. You CANNOT export the recordings, the ONLY thing you can export to the cloud are the dvr program SETTINGS (record series settings) NOT the actual recorded shows themselves.
There is NO way to transfer the recordings to a new DVR via the cloud, nor can you just plug in the external drive to a new box. The external drive is "married" to the box, the dvr goes bad or you get rid of it there is no way to recover the recordings on the external drive. If you upgrade the DVR you will lose all recorded shows.

How to get more control over DVR recordings

Looking for some advice on how to make sure the DVR records (and keeps) the episodes I want.
An example:
I want to record a series that is still producing new episodes, but is also in repeats in syndication. For example, Big Bang Theory. This has new episodes each week on CBS, but has about twenty or so repeats each day on TBS.
Due to the high number of repeats, any new episodes pretty quickly get overwritten by the repeats. So is there a way to record both first-run and repeat episodes, but prevent the first-runs from getting overwritten before I can watch them?

Put simply, I cannot change the settings on how I record each show.
Try the Box's Menu/customer support/tops support tools/Fix Fios TV option. (exact working may be different on your box)

No DVR recordings on secondary box

I've had X1 for about a month. The secondary box does not see any recordings from the primary DVR. I'm basically having the exact same issue as this post: http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/X1/Can-t-watch-X1-DVR-recordings-on-secondary-box/td-p/2372817 I unplugged and plugged everything back in...My Moca Network Status is Enabled. Link status is noLink. Mesh transmission rate is all zeros. I dont think the techs ever tested it when they were here. I know they left 2 old amplifiers on the lines which I googling tells me can cause Moca issues. Tried removing them, but no difference. Any thoughts or do I need a tech?

The fist line blue amp is in an attic, and after disconnecting and lugging everything up there I found out my USB to ethernet cable is busted...I'll have to re-engage on that issue on Monday. All I have are Macbook Airs and a Mac Pro with a 30 inch screen that I don't want to carry up a ladder. Bottom line is that everything is functioning and I don't want to perseverate on power level numbers if usability is not affected... However, while searching for another ethernet adapter to try and get the levels you asked for I did find another amp as shown in the pic. When this amp is hooked up downrange in place of the white one, I get the levels in the pic. But again, moca is down. It's quite frustrating that both amps are knocking out moca. Could it possibly be due to the AC adapter suppling the amps? I then put this commscope amp in first, and put the blue one in second and it still blocks moca. I don't get it!!

Recordings on DVR Expander not displaying

I have 2 FIOS DVR expanders that are connected to my FIOS DVR. The DVR model number QIP 7232 2. The expanders are the approved ones form Western Digital. I connect one of the DVR expanders at a time through the eSATA cable, and I disconnect and connect them using the DVR menus, so I just don't pull out cables without using the menu.
The last time I re-connected my DVR expander #1 the names of the shows are not coming up in the menu even though the main DVR knows there is an expander connected. DVR #2 works just fine. I have checked all cables, rebooted the main DVR, and reinstalled both expanders many times. #1 continues to not display the shows, #2 is just fine.
Short of re-formatting #1, would anyone have a solution?

This issue actually has nothing to do with the 1.9a update to the guide interface.
I have had the F1 event trio set up for a long time now (and had 1.9 since last year as a beta tester) and they also did not schedule. The culprit is Verizon's crappy guide data provider. None of this past weekend's F1 live events (for the Indian Grand Prix) on Speed were marked as NEW so the series manager ignored them (I have it set for new, any time, and selected channel so I don't pick up the re-broadcasts).
I don't know when Verizon is gloing to learn that a DVR is worthless if the guide data is wrong - this guide data issue is a persistent one that Verizon seems unwilling to correct.

How do I increase the font size of a large document?

Whenever I try to increase the font size of a large document, the text boxes cross their boundaries and mix with each other, or partly disappear at the end of every page. Do I really have to adjunst every text bos in the document or is there a faster way? Im having this issue with adobe acrobat 11 pro

This is not a feasible thing to do. Editing a PDF is a desperate last resort for so many reasons.
Whatever you need to solve, you are unlikely to solve it in Acrobat. Probably best to export text and remake it.

How to Increase the memory size of a File in the Application Server

I have generated a XML file for the data of internal table (with 10 Records). When i download , i can see the XML file for the Entire 10 Records.
But , while transferring the XML file to Applicationserver , it's transferring only upto max 4 Records.I     assume that the memory is insufficient to allocate 10 Records. Can we Increase the Memory size of the File on Application server. OR, is there any error in My Source Code.
Code i used to Transfer the XML File to Application server.

Finder>View>Show view options: To change the icon & text sizes
System Preferences>Displays>Display: Play around w/the resolutions to increase the Finder menu font size.
System Preferences>Accessibility>Zoom is another option.
Browsers: Check its Preferences to increase the font size as well as their menu bars. Some have Aa or - + symbols to increase their fonts.
FF has an add-on called Theme Font & Size Changer.

we click on it.

Optimize increases in file size by 5 times why?

This maybe a simple question but please hear me out. I take footage on my Go Pro HD 2 in 1080p. I have the files on a network storage device total filles size = 79GB. When I import to FCPX I run my events from a 1TB thunderbolt connect drive into my imac 27 inch for editing. If I optimize the modia on import to convert from MP4 (which edits fine in native in FCPX btw) to Apple ProRes 422 then the file size increases from 79GB to 379 GB which just seems ridiculous? I did have colour analyze also checked, but can someone let me know if this is normal? I wouldn't expect the ProRes to be 5 times the size of the original?

Most modern consumer cameras shoot AVCHD or other very compressed footage.
This is fine for playback but the high compression puts a great strain on the processor during editing.
Turning it to ProRes 422 reduces the compression, so making it easier to edit but of course it greatly increases the file size.
When you have finished editing you can export the finished movie as AVCHD and once again it will be back to its original small size ....... or even smaller.
You can of course try editing your native footage without optimising but you may get lots of dropped frames and stuttering playback etc. making the editing process tedious.
Try it and see ........ you may be lucky if your computer is powerful enough.
You don't need colour analysis.

How do I increase the font size of my app group names?

At the moment the font is too small and hard to read without glasses on. Does anybody know how the font size of the app groups that I have created can be increased in size or the app names in general? Two things you can do to easily aid with readability in Mail are as follows:
1) Increase the size of folders in the sidebar:
a) select "system preferences" from the Apple menu
b) select "general settings"
c) select small, medium or large under "sidebar icon size"
2) Increase the text in the main body of the email (both sent and received):
a) select "preferences" from the Mail menu
b) select "fonts and colors"
c) adjust font size for "message list font" and "message font". I have noticed this works properly while in classic mode, but in regular mode the message list font doesn't appear to change size.
Select classic mode by accessing Mail preferences and selecting the "viewing" tab.
Another shortcut is to right click on the toolbar, then select "customize toolbar", and then drag the "smaller / bigger" buttons onto the toolbar. Now you can decrease and increase font size as desired on the fly.

Hello Apple.
It seems you have gone to great lengths to improve accessibility in many areas of the iPad. Why was this obvious problem with icon text size missed? (It's not with the Mac.). And for so long too.
Do you employ people with actual accessibility problems to help you do UI design?
I think too, that some buttons are too close for people who might have motor control problems.
I love my iPad but I fear as I age, the iPad might not keep up with me.
