  • Exporting files from Ipad with Itunes 11

I have a program on my Ipad that I use for my business.  It requires that I import and export files to it.  Well, with the old version of Itunes, I could do it, but now since the 11 upgrade I cannot.  Can somebody tell me how to do it, or did they take away that functionality?

Actually, I got that wrong!  The best way I have found is to select all CD Tracks, then hit 'bounce cd track' from the file menu.

  • Export file from GB iPad to GB desktop - how?

I can't work out how to export a GB iPad file to use on the desktop? Surely you must be able to to do this?
Secondly when you edit a file, and mess it up, how on earth do you stop it overwriting the good file? Again I can't believe there is no 'save as' equivalent so you can avoid overwriting existing files.
    Appreciate any help.

You know in retrospect, I agree with your explanation, cmo44. There is a difference.
I'm used to just "coping with" whatever new paradigm software has, especially when we're still at 1.0, and I'm an ardent user of the Feedback link to suggest features and functions for future versions.
I sync my iPad every day, so basically, any time I have worked on a song on the iPad, I sync that (transfer) off to my main machine and do incremental version back ups there.
If I ever wreck my song while using the iPad—next session—I can go back to my other version that's saved on the computer - of course then having to work in GB 11.
I haven't been thinking of GB4iP as an app to create finished versions of anything with (frankly, with only 4/4 as a time signature choice, it's pretty much useless to me as a composer - but it's still fine for sketching out riffs, ideas, phrases... I mean, I can still do something in 7/4 with a 4/4 timeline, I just have to ignore the pulse, which is not a big deal.)
I'm basically looking at the GB4iP app to be a place to capture musical ideas when I am NOT in my studio, and also an instrument to jam on with other musicians (that's REALLY fun), but not an end all be all recording tool. As impressive, well designed, and fun as it is, it's still a 1.0 and it has a long way to go to be able to truly become the portable "peer" to GB11 and Logic that I believe Apple must view the product as destined to be. I'm positive they can and will get there, but it's just off the starting blocks.

  • How can I export a plist file from ipad

Does anyone know how can I export a plist file from ipad 3.  I have have an app which is crashing and I wish to send the crash file to the developer?

Settings App > General > About > Diagnostics&Usage > Diagnostics&Usage Data. You will need to copy the content and post it into another file or the email.

  • IBooks Author: in exported file, one page loads very slowly...

iBooks Author: in exported file, one page loads very slowly and drags when scrolling through pages, almost stopping the scroll.  I have never seen this problem before with photo pages.  Normally they scroll just as smoothly as text pages.
I have tried rebuilding the page with more compressed files to no avail.  The image files used on the page are not any bigger than others I have used previously without any problem.
I have tried restarting my iBook.
I am using a template that I have modified quite a bit.  The templates currently offered by Apple and third parties are not even close to what I am looking for in terms of layout, so I have to rip almost everything out of the page and start with a blank page, most of the time.  I tried modyfying the layouts to save time and then saved as a new template.  Apple really needs to add a module to create your own template at the beginning of a project.  Or they need to create one very open template, without much on the pages.

I finally solved the problem by using an unmodified template. I would still like to know how my modifications to the other template caused the problem, but for now it remains a mystery.  Thanks for your ideas.
Next I will try modifying the template without saving it as a template (merely saving it as a file) to see if I can get away with my modifications.  Also I will make fewer modifications.
Slowly but surely I am learning this program by trial and error.  Each time I try a few formatting variations, output an iBooks file, and open it on my iPad.  I have probably done 20 of these tests, so far.  Once I work out every detail of the design and structure, I will build the final book.  I am lucky to have a beautiful PDF of the hardcover version, generously provided by my publisher.  This not only sets a high bar for me, but also allows me to use some of their design elements via screen capture.
iBooks Author has great potential, but I along way to go to get there. One feature I would really like to see in the next update: the ability to add a hidden caption to a photo.  The reader would tap the image and the caption would appear. Tap again and it disappears.

  • Export presentation to iPad

Ok, I give up. I have Keynote on both my MBP and my iPad Mini. MBP is on OSX 10.9.1. Keynote on MBP is 4.0.4. I am completely at sea in how to export onto my iPad. I thought I could bring into iTunes. Apparently not. I'm being told my iTunes needs to be v.6. Well, uh... I have v.11 so ???? I thought I could export to iCloud. I thought indeed I'd done that by bringing it into iPhoto and dragging it to the cloud via iPhoto. Nope. So please advise. I give up. Seems like a big old mess and I have a presentation I need to make this coming Wed.!! Thank you.

If you have a simple presentation and you only need your colleagues to 'read along' with the presentation there is a simple solution.  You can share the keynote by emailing a PDF version to their ipads.  When they receive the email, the PDF attachment can be 'open in...' a PDF reader such as iBooks.
The obvious disadvantages of this approach are: 1) the presentations are often very large when converted to PDF, 2) you must email the file to each of the people at the meeting, 3) the audience will have to change pages manually and they will not see any transitions or slide effects.  But this is a simple no cost way to do it.

  • Once an iBook has been exported to the iPad, how can that book be moved to a different iPad or back to iBooks Author?

Once an iBook has been exported to the iPad, how can that book be moved to a different iPad or back to iBooks Author?

You can't simply move it directly between iPads.
In your example, you'd find that .ibook file in your iTunes account on your computer and then email or sync it to the school's iPad. Similar to how you did with yours....maybe you got it off a server and can repeat that process.
Then delete it off your iPad and either delete or flag your copy in iTunes to not be put back when you sync in the future.

  • How can I print some files in ipad

    Dear tutors
I am using Airport express to enjoy airplay and itunes in Hi-Fi system.
My printer that doesn't support airprint is connectted to the Airport express.
So I can print my file to the printer when I use window PC.
Recently, I bought ipad2 and I'd like to print some files in ipad
    How can I do?
    Is it possible?
    Thank you..

I think the Airport express acts as a wireless printer server because I can print when the PC is turned-off
Actually, I'd like to print some files from my ipad2 to my printer that dosen't support Airprint and that is connectted to the airport express.
There are apps on the appstore that allow you to print to non airprint printers.--> I could'd find the Apps, would you tell me the name of the Apps?
    thank you

  • Error During INSTALL of Application Export File

An error is reported during INSTALL of an application that I am trying to copy (Import/Install) from a "development" Work Space into a "production" Work Space. The production (target) Work Space is on the same HTML DB instance as the development Work Space.
I am receiving the following INSTALL error:
    ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: GET_STMT error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-06550: line 15, column 1: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol ",'39','RD8','8','S','10','U','43','UD','41','UG','11','W')) END)" when expecting one of the following: . ( * @ % & = - + ; < / > at in is mod remainder not rem <an exponent (**)> <> or != or ~= >= <=
Following is some pertinent (hopefully) information:
The above INSTALL error takes exception to part of a Region Select (sql) that works fine in the development Work Space.
The common HTML DB (v1.6) instance is on UNIX.
A new Work Space was created on the same instance.
A new schema name was created during creation of the new Work Space. However, this schema does not point to a database. (We were not certain how to setup the schema to parse to our live database.) I will be running DBLINK upon production application startup in order to access the database objects.
    EXPORT INFO -
File Format: UNIX (also, tried DOS but received same error during INSTALL)
    IMPORT INFO -
    File Type: Application/Page Export
File Character Set: Western European Windows 1252
Target Work Space is newly created on the same HTML DB instance.
    INSTALL INFO -
*Parse As Schema: COLLIVE17 (Again, this schema does not parse to a database. I intend to use DBLINK.)
*Build Status: Run and Build Application
Please refer to above error message.
Again, any insights or suggestions are appreciated.

Urgently need help! I've read several other Forum messages having a related problem but none having same Install error message.
Again, my Export/Import from development Workspace to production Workspace is successful. The following error is reported when I attempt to "Install" into the production Workspace:
    ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: GET_STMT error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-06550: line 15, column 1: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol ",'39','RD8','8','S','10','U','43','UD','41','UG','11','W')) END)" when expecting one of the following: . ( * @ % & = - + ; < / > at in is mod remainder not rem <an exponent (**)> <> or != or ~= >= <=
The "snippet" of Region Sql Select code that relates to the reported error is:
    ELSE htmldb_item.display_and_save (5, DECODE (GET_GRADE_B93 (sac.stc_final_grade,sac.stc_verified_grade),'18','AU','1','A','3','B','4','C','7','CR','5','D','46','DR','6','F','47','FW','49','IB','30','IC','31','ID','23','IF','44','MW','9','NC','21','RD','14','RD0','33','RD1','32','RD2','34','RD3','35','RD4','36','RD5','37','RD6','38','RD7','39','RD8','8','S','10','U','43','UD','41','UG','11','W'),'GRADE_'||ROWNUM) END q_v_grade,
HTML DB version is: 1.6.0.00.67. I've also tried to Export/Import/Install the application into the "same" Workspace specifying the same schema, and only changing the Application ID. However, I get the same Install error (see above).
Any suggestions on things to try in order to get application into production is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, Bernard.

  • How do i store for playing NOT STOLEN music files on ipad, from any computer in the world, at any time?

I concluded that with buying an Apple ipad2, I made the worst investment. Unfortunately, I realized that the philosophy that you build the software for these devices is to extort money from clients without providing them the right to choice. Specifically, at this point I am feeling frustrated that I can not copy .mp3 files to iPad from my home computer, as any device can do. These files do not contain stolen music and, yes, is a certain reason to be unhappy client! I am very sorry that I don't bought a Samsung Android device and I will share my experience all those who need it.

I can not copy .mp3 files to iPad from my home computer
Er, yes you can - I have thousands of MP3 on mine. It appears you have not have bothered to read the User Guide before coming here to make yourself look rather foolish with your blatently incorrect beliefs.

  • Lightroom 5 cannot export files in original Raw format (LR 5.4, Mac, OS 10.9.4).

A client has the following problem: When trying to export files in the original Raw format (.CR2), the operation failed and a dialog informs us that "Some export operations were not performed". We can export JPEGs just fine.
After lots of testing, this is what we discovered:  The problem does not appear to be catalog-based; we run into the same problem using a test catalog.  The export operation works fine, however, with the same test catalog and images on two other machines, and it even works fine on the same machine with a new user admin account that we created.
So it appears to be something associated with the user account, , or with how LR is interacting with the user account, but I cannot figure out what it might be. We can copy the Raw files when using the Finder to do so. But not via Lightroom.  Any thoughts, ideas of suggestion would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks, Sean

As part of your testing make sure you've tried exporting JPGs from the same folder as the CR2s you're exporting as original, and export JPGs from CR2s to the same folder as you're exporting your originals.  This would test LR's read and write permissions from and to the folders being used.
From this document you can see that all the LR files other than the program, are under the /Users folder with different values possible for each user, so the difference could be that the users that work are using the original LR defaults, if you have just started using LR with them after you started having this problem, or at least that the user with the problem has some oddball settings that are interfering with Export as Original.
Preference and other file locations in Lightroom 5
You can test for the Preferences being off by either copying the preferences from a user that has the problem to a user that doesn't have the problem--probably through an external or common folder, or be deleting the preferences file from the user that has the problem and see if it resolves.  Moving the preferences file or renaming it may be better than deleting it if no change is seen, then you can restore the preferences back by moving or renaming the file back to the original location and name.
