Export flash to mp4

Hi, I'm trying to create a mp4 from flash 8. I've tried FILE
/ EXPORT / EXPORT MOVIE, this exports fine expect one movie clip
within the fla file doen't play. I've also tried publish but I get
an error message saying that the version of Quicktime installed is
not supported? I have QT 7.5 installed.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Peter,
I was having the same trouble, and got to the point where I just decided to type in ".mp4" over ".mov" in the export video section in Adobe Flash CC. Lo and behold it worked! Media encoder automatically opened and took care of it!
Good luck!

  • Exporting AVCHD to mp4 from final cut for uploading to youtube (apple prores, .MOV, h264, x264, handbrake)

    Hello everybody,
I Edit 1920x1080 AVCHD in Final Cut 7. Working with apple prores to export video to mp4 and then upload it to youtube. The goal is obviously the least quality loss in the process and to get a file as light as possible. Which of these three options is correct?
    1. Export to mp4 from Final Cut (using quicktime conversion): h264 codec and bitrate 8000 kbps.
    2. Export to .MOV from Final Cut (using quicktime conversion): h264 codec. Then, use handbrake (mp4 / x264 ).
    3. Export apple prores sequence to. MOV from Final Cut (using quicktime movie). Then, use handbrake program (mp4 / X264 codec)
    thanks a lot!

One friend told me dont choose none of the three options...
Told me about exporting a reference movie from timeline and then take the reference file into compressor.
I finally took the reference file and took him to compressor. I installed x264 and got one .mov very heavy, so I had to use the handbrake to get less weight and get mp4.
I did the same operation in streamclip and got a mp4 file (x264) with same size than .mov (compressor). So in both cases, if I want the less size I have to go on 2 steps (first compressor or streamclip and then handbrake ..)
    any more suggestions? :-)

  • Export Content in MP4 to PSP

In QuickTime I exported Video in MP4 Format (H.264). When I try to play back the file on my PSP, I keep getting an error message which says "incompatible data".
Does anyone out there has a solution? Thanks in advance.

After lots of tests I got it done. You have to export your Video with the following format:
Export as: Film -> MPEG-4. Then choose under Video-Format the option "MPEG-4 Verbessert" for a better quality. Datarate should show 256Bit/s which is good enough. You can set the Image size to 320x240 and leave everything else as it is.
If your PSP is already updated to firmware 3.70 or higher, than all you have to do is to copy your MP4 file to the Video Folder on your Memory Stick. This Video Folder is not inside the PSP folder but on the root. If you can't find it than just upgrade to 3.70 firmware and reformat your Memory Stick (don't forget to saver your data before formating)

  • Exported Flash files make annoying clicks in Windows IE

On Firefox and Safari on OS X I can embed a Flash file exported from Keynote in a web page and view it with no problems.
However, at every slide change in Windows Internet Explorer, there is an extremely annoying clicking sound. It seems this is by design in IE -- any refresh is supposed to generate a click, and the change from slide 1 to slide 2, etc., apparently counts as a refresh.
(For what it's worth, in IE the URL is appended with #SlideFrame_1, then #SlideFrame_2, and so on. That suffix does not appear in either OS X browser. The click happens at the transitions from #SlideFrame_n to #SlideFrame_n+1).
I want to embed the exported flash on a web page and auto-run it, but Windows users will hear an irritating click-click-click until they navigate away from the site -- which they'll probably do quickly before they go crazy from the sound!
Any ideas on how to export Flash movies in a way that avoids this, or any tools to modify the Flash file so IE doesn't think it's refreshing?
(FYI -- while I'd prefer to export Quicktime, it's only on about 60% of my site visitor's browsers, while Flash is on over 95%).

    Greg,
Have you found a solution for this problem? I too am experiencing the same problems.

  • Exporting Flash to quicktime error

I am trying to export Flash to Quicktime and recieve the
    following message -
"the installed version of quicktime does not support this
type of macromedia Flash movie. Quicktime requires Flash 5 or

I reset the settings to Flash 5 - but still comes up with the

    Thanks Jodi

I'm having the same problem. Every website I find on the
topic simply says to change the publish settings to Flash 5 - but
it's still not working. Anyone have insight? I even uninstalled my

  • Can I Export Flash for Influxis FMS?

    Hello,
I love that Encore can export Flash for Flash Media Server, but why are PlayStream and Level3 the only options available for streaming server? Is there a way I can add Influxis settings to the list? Or, is there a way I can export for Progressive and then convert it or change the URLs for the project to work with Influxis FMS services?
    Thanks!

You can export it to any Flash Media server. You need to change the existing scripts slightly to make it work of Influxis. Pick up Playstream or Level3 script (from ..\Adobe Encore CS4\Required\FlashExportScripts) and save it with a new name with .jsx extn.
I think you just have to change the ftpURL and return path in the script and it should start working for your server. (If you compare the two scripts Playstream and level3, you will get the idea what to change)
Following are the differences between the two:
    ftpURL
    Playstream: var ftpURL = "ftp://ftp.playstream.com"; (Line1)
    Level3: var ftpURL = "";  (Line1)
              ftpURL = "ftp://" + username + ".ingest.cdn.level3.net"; (Line 61)
    returnPath
    Playstream: return "rtmp://fvss.playstream.com/fvssod/" +username + "/" + newFileTitle;  (line 123)
    Level(3): return "rtmp://" +username + "fs.fplive.net/" +username+ "/" + newFileName;
You need to find out your ftp and returnpath for your server and also hardcode it in the script for a single username.
You can also make changes to your AuthoredContent.xml file of Progressive Download to make it work for your streaming.
Just upload your flash video files in Sources folder to a FMS server and change the path of FLV/F4V files in xml file rest everything remaining same.
    Example:
    Progressive: <Media src='Sources/_PGC_Epgc_entryPoint_Kbp_1.flv' name='Chapter 1' type='video' startTime='0' duration='10.51'/>
    Streaming:
    For Playstream:  <Media src='rtmp://usernamefs.fplive.net/username/_PGC_Epgc_entryPoint_Kbp_1.flv name='Chapter 1' type='video' startTime='0' duration='10.51'/>

  • Export Flash image to Illustrator : bad colors and no transparency

I've tried to export my vector work from Flash to
    Illustrator.
The result is bad : colors have faded and transparent colors
    became opaque.
It is a shame that Flash doesn't provide a correct export
    function to
Illustrator now that Flash and Illustrator are both Adobe's
    softwares.
Does somebody know a better way or software to export
    Flash/SWF vector

    Thanks.

  • Export flash vid with VBR? (variable bit rate)

Does AE CS3 have a choice of VBR when exporting Flash Video (FLV)? I'm going thru the Render Queue, but can't find where to change it from CBR.
    Thanks, Mates!

No, I don't think so. After Effects only does one-pass rendering/compression, so you're probably better off with Flash Video Encoder or something similar.

  • Exporting flash professional 5.5 image assets

I am having some trouble exporting flash professional 5.5 image assets to pngs (or any other image format with an alpha channel).
In Flash Professional 5.5, I bring up the library window, select one of the images, and then right click to select "Edit with Photoshop", which then opens the image in Photoshop. However, it also seems to replace the transparent alpha channel with a dark green (?). Without even saving the file in Photoshop, Flash Professional then shows the image with a dark green background too. I also tried exporting to Paint.net, but had the same problem.
Anyone know how to export an image from a Flash Professional file into a more standard image format?

Are you sure that you have the line smoothing option selected in the bottom of the tool bar? You might try re-installing the wacom driver, or delete the Flash preferences.

  • Flash Pro CC - Converting/Exporting to an MP4

I need my flash video to be an MP4. I went through the process of exporting it as an MOV from Flash Pro CC. When I place this file in the Adobe Media Encoder and try to convert it, the preview at the bottom of the shows a black screen. Encoder says that the conversion is complete but when I try to play it using VLC media player, it is just a black screen with no content.
I am looking for advise as to whether I did something incorrectly or if there is a simpler/faster way to get my Flash video file to be an MP4.

If your mov file is uncompressed and is very large then you may be running out of memory and/or hard drive space for Media Encoder  to do its magic. Open the Preferences window for Media Encoder and go to the Media section. There are two locations listed in this section where ME will be storing data. Make sure that there is enough space at these locations. Open the Memory section and make sure that there is sufficient memory available for ME to run.
No, I don't really know how much memory or hard drive space you will need. If you have little hard drive space then you amy need to use an external dirve or move to a different computer.

  • Exported Flash JPEG sequence out of sync in Premiere Pro

    What I have:
CS6 version of Flash Pro and Premiere Pro.
Uncompressed audio in .wav format at 44100hz
    What I am doing:
Importing the .wav file to stage in flash pro.
Creating animations based on the audio at 24fps
Exporting the animation as JPEG sequence.
Importing the JPEG sequence to Premiere Pro.
Importing the .wav file to library in Premiere Pro.
Exporting the the animation with audio as .mp4
    Result:
    Audio out of sync.
NOTE: This problem can also be seen when importing the JPEG sequence and audio in Premiere Pro.

Here's what I've discovered while working with JPEG sequences and audio files:
Since you are dealing with individual still frames within the JPEG sequence, it will always import at a full 30fps, rather than 29.97 or 23.976 (depending on the project). The audio file, most likely, will show up as either 29.97 or 23.976. Let's say, for this example, we are working in a 29.97 project. If you pair the JPEG sequence with your audio, you will have a .03 frame difference, per second (30fps vs. 29.97fps).
You will need to conform the JPEG sequence to match the frame rate of your audio. In After Effects, while the JPEG sequence is still in the Project Panel, right click and then select "Interpret Footage." Select "Main." In this dialog box, change the frame rate from 30 to 29.97 (or 23.976). Choose either Drop Frame or Non-Drop, depending on your project.
After clicking "OK," you can take that JPEG sequence and drop it into a composition with your audio. You should be good to go.

  • Exporting flash videos to Premiere Pro

I use Flash for animating photos and then export the movie as .mov and import the same in Premiere Pro. The final rendered video file (.mp4) from Premiere Pro after editing has the images shaking. Why is it so?
For animations to be imported in Premiere Pro, what is the best format to be exported in Flash?
    Thanks,
    Bhanu

If you want to have the best quality and an up-to-date PC you should go for png-sequence.
Import that png as footage in Premiere and you should get a sharp result

  • Captivate 5.5: Problems with export SWF to MP4

I recorded a screencast of several moving graphs by using the FMR-mode in Captivate 5.5. The flash file looks pretty good, but I am unhappy with the MP4 that I exported afterwards because it is jerky. Is it usual that there are losses due to the compression or did I just use the wrong settings? Is it possible to export an MP4 file that looks just as good as the SWF? Do you have any recommandations regarding the settings?
I am inserting some features with Final Cut afterwards. To avoid further compression losses, I would appreciate some hints regarding the settings in Compressor. The final file shall be an MP4.
Do you think with the HD screencast function of Captivate 6 or 7, my problems would be solved?
Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hey Lilybiri,
thank you for your answer. I tried pretty much everything, default settings like SD / HD widescreen as well as custom settings in all different kinds. I even implemented a 30 frames-extra (http://www.tecwriter.de/wordpress/captivate-5-5-exklusiver-spezialtipp-mp4-output-verbesse rn/), but nothing helped. and i am not sure, if captivate's FMR function is the problem, as the swf is much less jerky.

  • Converting flash to mp4 (or mov)

does anyone know of a FREE program that can convert flash files to mp4 (or .mov)?
    thank you if you do!

Most serious mac users would have this excellent and free program - MPEG Streamclip.
You can get it here also from the downloads section of this Apple site:
    http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html
Download the beta version 1.9.3b2 and you will be able to directly download YouTube videos (File > Open URL).
Otherwise just drag your file into the MPEG window then click on File > Export to QuickTime.
From the first choice (compression) choose Apple Intermediate Codec.
Leave all else alone until you get a handle on it.
Choose a destination for your video then you will be able to import it into iMovie: File > Import > Movies...
