Export for Flash???

Anyone know if you can get an LT file to export and work in Flash MX?
thanks

LT doesn't come with a swf export option.
So unless you already have flash on your computer then no.
If you do already have a flash encoder with another program then then you can render a movie from your LT project...and when you export it your flash option should appear.

  • Best export for flash video

    I have completed an edit of a 7 minute teaser for a feature film and need to export it to be displayed online in a flash player. The footage is HD 1080i, 29.97fps and edited in the Animation coded. My experience with best exports for flash conversion is very limited so please bare with with.
    1) Is it possible to export directly from FCP to a flash file? If yes, would that be a good idea, or should I use third party softwares for better results?
    2) Which third party softwares are recommended for flash conversion? And what export compression should I use in FCP for best flash conversion results?
    3) Any other tips and tricks to get the best quality for flash video display?
    Any help would obviously be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    When I have quality HD video that I want to export for flash, I compress it with h.264 codec. Then, with the new version of Flash, you can swap out the .mp4 extension for .f4v and your good to go in Flash. Quality looks pretty good at a fraction of the file size.

  • Exporting for Flash Display - Some Tips

    There have been many questions on Exporting for Flash playback on the Web. This Adobe ARTICLE might provide some useful tips, and help in the understanding of the various format.
    Hope that this helps,

    Because different Adobe NLE's (Non Linear Editors) handle Flash material differently, and some not much at all, one likely source of additional Flash handling would be Moyea. They have several Flash programs, and even offer a Flash Importer for PrPro (prior to CS4). Unfortunately, they do not yet have a plug-in Importer for PrE.

  • Float4() causes "error saving Pixel Bender Byte Code file" error when exporting for flash player

    Simple test
    <languageVersion : 1.0;>
    kernel untitled
    <   namespace : "Your Namespace";
        vendor : "Your Vendor";
        version : 1;
    >
        input image4 src;
        output pixel4 dst;
        void
        evaluatePixel()
            dst = float4(sampleNearest(src, outCoord()));
    The above code will produce a "error saving Pixel Bender Byte Code file" error when exporting for flash player in Pixel Bender Toolkit 2.5.449694.
    "dst = (sampleNearest(src, outCoord()));" works fine. And anything like "float4 a= float4(b);" will give same error.

    Thank you for the error report.  I'll put it into our bug database.  We're bottling things up for the current version.  Gven the workaround, it is unlikely we'll be addressing this bug soon.  Please accept my apologies for the annoyance this will cause.
    In your second example, float4 a = float4(b), does it return an error if b is only a float4 or regardless of what b is?  If b is a scalar float, for example, is the conversion performed correctly? If so, this could be an error that only crops up when using constructor/conversion syntax when the thing being converted is already the correct type.
    Thanks,
    Chuck.

  • Exporting for Flash

    I'm trying to export a motion graphic for Flash, but when I export as Lossless + Alpha Channel, I still get a black background behind my graphic that prevents me from compositing it in Flash. However, the same .mov that I exported composites without any problems in Shake... anyone know how I can get this to work correctly (in Flash)?

    I have a hunch that this is a Flash issue, more than a Motion issue. Flash is not likely to support alpha channels in video, as it converts video to FLV anyway.

  • Please bring back FXG 2.0 export for Flash Pro CC 2014

    Hi Adobe,
    Flash Pro CC now supports SVG 1.1 export, please bring back FXG 2.0 export as well, here is the reason why:
    Flash Pro CC can mainly export to Flash Runtime Based Content and HTML/JS Based Content, right?
    For HTML/JS Based Content, we can export SVG for use.
    For Flash Runtime Based Content, we should export FXG for use, it makes perfect sense!
    Anyone seeing this thread, please reply +1 to agree what I said.

    Hello 周戈,
    first, the most here are users of Adobe's products, not Adobe's employees, ok sometimes someone of Adobe's staff risks a glimpse here at random.
    One way, which may prove promising to interest Adobe's development team is to use the "wishform" and maybe your "please bring back ..."  can serve as a suggestion. Here at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform, where you will find this: "Use this form to request new features or suggest modifications to existing features."

  • Export for flash-movie file conversion.

    I want to prepare files for the highest quality possible for conversion to flash-movie files. I recorded in HDV- edited in HDV- send to Color in HDV- and now my question is if I should send it to FCP from Color in 10 bit-uncompressed to keep the highest quality?
    Also at the end exporting from FCP- should I change my sequence settings? Again I need the very highest quality for later conversion to a flash-movie file, and was told that uncompressed is the way to go??
    Any thoughts on this?
    Thanks- Adam.

    "Keeping" the quality isn't really the issue-- if you're working in HDV, there's nothing to gain by going to Uncompressed, because you weren't working in Uncompressed in the first place. The exception to this is color grading and graphics: ideally, you would be working in a higher quality sequence such as ProRes (Uncompressed is probably overkill) in both FCP and Color.
    Of course, I can't honestly say that any of this will make a difference in a Flash movie-- Flash is for web delivery, and to bring it down to a bitrate suitable for the web, you'll likely lose anything you might have gained from this process.

  • Exporting subtitles for Flash cue points

    I want to not just create subtitles, but use them in Flash video and other cue-point supported applications for distribution on the web. Is there a way to export my subtitles created in DVDSP to a standard stf or other document? Or do I have to use external software and then export for Flash, DVDSP, etc? If I have to use a third party, which one works best? I've seen many in the Apple Downloads section...
    Thanks,

    Hi Sigmundo,
    At work ( disturb media ) we've finished a karaoke flash project. I haven't used Soundbooth then, we had limited time, so I wrote a few handy commands for flash that took care of the job. Hopefully we will be able to document that, right an article and share the commands as a packed extension.
    I've learned Soundbooth over the weekend and FLVCuePoints was one of the highlights. I've used FLV
    and everything worked out fine. I didn't know the Media(Flash Video) Encoder allows you open an xml
    file and insert cuepoints at that stage.
    Anyway,
    About F4V, Lee Brimelow has a more detailed post about the cue points bug here:

  • Dynamic text not displaying when publishing for flash 8

    This dynamic text works fine when the movie is published for
    flash 7, but when i export for the flash 8 player it seems to be
    invisible. Is there any obvious reason for this happenning?
    thanks
    jon

    Ok, thanks, looks like you've pointed me in the right
    direction. I havent fixed it yet though. Heres where i am at:
    eval(theTarget+".buttonPrime").tex.embedFonts = false;
    now i can see my text. of course its using a default font.
    var my_fmt:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
    my_fmt.font = "arial14b";
    eval(theTarget+".buttonPrime").tex.embedFonts = true;
    eval(theTarget+".buttonPrime").tex.text = "wasssup?";
    eval(theTarget+".buttonPrime").tex.setTextFormat = my_fmt;
    this isnt working. I have added a font object to the library
    and linked it for actionscript using the monkier "arial14b".
    however my text is quite invisible. i have checcked, 'export in
    first frame' for the font object i even tried it with this
    deselected. i have deselected the embed font option on the text
    feild itself. that doesnt work either (unless i dont try to set the
    text format, so long as i accept a default font, its fine).
    so err, help?
    confused
    jon
    ps further to this is have discovered more about this strange
    behaviour. i can set the text to a different string, provided i do
    not try to embed the font in any way. if i set the font to embed, i
    can have the text display with the correct font, until i change the
    text. then it dissappears. also i cannot seem to affect properties
    like font size by means of my TextFormat object. the textFormat
    object also does not seem to affect the font of the text.
    in short, when exporting for flash 8, i cannot seem to
    successfully embed fonts for dynamic text. the only thigs i have
    gotten to work are: static text (or a dynamic text feild with
    unchanged text) with an embedded font, or dynamic text with a
    default font.

  • Flash Video exporter for CS 4

    Is there a flash video Exporter for CS4 on a Mac and if so where can I download this?
    Yhanks

    Thanks for getting back so quickly,
    Here is my problem. I have 2 Macs, a desktop and a laptop. The laptop
    running Tiger (operating system) and Adobe CS3 which is fine for
    conversion through Quicktime to .flv but on my desktop which is
    running Leopard (OS) and Adobe CS4 I cannot do this type of conversion
    without going into Adobe flash encoder which requires 1 more step.
    I looked up Flash video exporter on the Adobe site (see link below)

    available for CS4 and for Mac.

  • Need help exporting transparent gifs for flash - rough edges

    Hello,

  • Flash IDE not compiling movieclips with "export for actionscript"

    I'm having a really odd problem with Flash CS5 where I'm getting random compiling errors for movie clips that are exported for actionscript. These are simple graphics that will be created at runtime. Nothing special.
    When I first open the project it gives errors for all the symbols in the project, but if I open and save the settings dialog the errors go away. Sometimes I have to go into individual symbols and check/uncheck the "export for actionscript" box. This is a AS2/Flashlite project.
    Anyone else having these errors? I tried to "save as" the project and clean the ASO cache. No luck.
    Here's an example of the error:
    Symbol=movieBkgrdSmall, layer=Layer 1, frame=1, Line 1    The class or interface 'movieBkgrdSmall' could not be loaded.

    cs5 will scan the current directory and all subdirectories for class files.  sometimes you can have a name conflict and not realize it and that can cause substantial problems.
    when desperate, create a new directory with no subs, save your current project there (with a new name).

  • Exporting file for Flash Catalyst use?

    Hey everyone.  I've made a video in Flash Pro, and I want to be able to play it in Flash Catalyst.  I'm using 5.5 of both versions, btw.  I export the Flash Pro video to a .mov file and then use Media Encoder to make that a .flv file.  I bring that file into FC and publish to web.  However, when I put those 'deploy to web' files on my website, the video doesn't play.  Everything else works except for the video.  So I put a generic, short .flv file that I downloaded from the internet into my FC file.  I published it to my website again, and everything worked fine.  The video played.  So obviously the problem with my video must be in the encoding process.
    How should I do this?  I read one article online that said when I export a .mov file for FC, I should make sure that I don't have 'Fast - Compressed Header' selected in the Streaming options.  Well, I checked and I don't.  It's just under regular 'Fast'.  So what am I doing wrong here?  I've even tried converting my .mov file to a f4v file, and that doesn't work.  Help here would be so greatly appreciated.

    Ah.  I think they just tested the .html file.  Though, they were trying nearly everything yesterday, so they might have tried the swf file, too.  I'll ask him this afternoon.  There's a webpage included in both deploy-to-web and run-local folders.  Both are entitled main.html.  I'm looking at both codes in Dreamweaver to see what would be different, how the code is calling to the flv video, and I can't see any change!  I switch from one code view to the other, and nothing is different.  The only difference is that in the video size area, the html file from the run-local folder is bigger.  So obviously something more was put into the run-local html file, but what I don't know.  I can't figure that out from the code.  Here's the code from the run-local file, though it looks the same in the deploy-to-web html file, too.
