Export form FCP5 to Windows encoder ProCoder2

Anyone have experience with exporting at the highest quality from FCP5 for use with a Windows XP Pro based OS and software such as Canopus ProCoder2? I have exported several times, experimenting with different settings, both AVI and QT, but the files are not recognized by ProCoder. ANy experience out there? Thanks!

I have a procoder2 system love it. I also have final cut pro. to let procoder see the file make sure the name of the file is not to long, and also make sure the file from final cut pro has a .mov at the end of it

Help with exporting forms based data to Excel 2007

I have a user who is attempting to export forms based data to Microsoft Excel 2007 and when he attempts this he receives a message stating that Windows does not recognise this file type (tsv). I am not too familiar with Office 2007 so I am unable to direct this users as to how to correct this issue.
Is someone able to give me the navigation path to help me to assist this user? thanks

Did you verify the file type from Windows Explorer?
1) Right click on My Computer > Explore
2) Go to Tools > Folder Options
3) Click on File Types tab
4) Check if TSV file is defined there or not. If it is not there, click on New and add the File Extension

Exporting QT movie to be encoded to Flash

I need to export FCP projects to be encoded for Flash on another machine. The way I understand it, exporting a self-contained QT movie is the fastest and best export, so that's what I've done.
I've saved the QT export (from a Mac) onto a server and opened with another machine (a Windows PC), but all I see is white with audio. I'm using Sorenson Squeeze for the Flash encoding.
When attempting to open the QT movie, I get the error message that the PC is missing a codec.
Is there a way to find out which codec I need to install onto this PC so these self-contained QT files can be encoded to Flash?
Is the simple answer to export FCP files using Quicktime compression and then encoding to Flash?
I'd like to try encoding the self-contained QT files because it seems the files lose substantial quality when compressing twice.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The PC has Sorenson Squeeze (v4.8)installed on it which includes the Sorenson FLV player. It does not have a shockwave player installed.
The full QT files are either burned to DVD or sent via FTP to the encoding PC.
Quicktime Player (7.4.5) is installed on the encoding PC.
As a note, when exporting a self-contained QT file out of Final Cut Express, we do not have this issue. Only files exported out of Final Cut Pro have this white screen issue.
Shawn, I will take your advice and find the installation disk and install. In the meantime, if any of you have any other thoughts or suggestions, I'd really appreciate hearing them.

Export from FCP5

Will anyone share their settings for the best (highest quality) settings for export from FCP5? I have had, what I would call, less than satisfactory results using Compressor 2. I know the MPEG encoder will have a significant impact on the quality of the final DVD. I am trying to output the highest quality so I can test different encoders. Also, would there be any difference to export an uncompressed AVI as opposed to Quicktime? I have ProCoder 2 on my PC and would like to test it as well. Thanks for your help.

To export your DV project so there is no loss in quality, simply go to the File Menu and select EXPORT>QUICKTIME MOVIE. Not Quicktime Conversion, fot this will compress the footage. Make sure the settings match your timeline settings, make it self contained and you are set.

Physical to virtual ends with errors, other methods export but launch with windows repair 2008 r2

New to hyperV here, plan to implement it in a few months. So I am practicing with it now.
I am trying to convert a working 2008 r2 physical to virtual using Microsoft virtual machine converter. in the settings I was point it to my hyperv- server and I was getting errors, this was due to permissions. No matter what I did I can't get it to
work, not sure whats wrong. SO I installed hyper V under my win8.1 pro machine shared the folders and the export started.
Upon the end of the export where it goes into "Fixing disk' I get an instant error no matter how may times I do this or how which server I try to export I get an error here.
It still created files and when I then copy those over to my test hyper V the win2008 R2 export goes into repair mode, I'm sure it's a driver issue but I would have expected that MS would have stripped the drivers our before export.
I then tried Acronis backup server and was able to export to MS virtual machine but this export also goes into windows repair more.
In the past I've used acronis and restored a physical server , this would also go into repair mode unless I use the "intelligent restore" which strips the drivers.
I don't want to tinker with the live server to get this to work since It's still in production, but I would like to get this to work , would any one have a tip, what can I do to provide more information on the root of the problem?

Generally, I would suggest you to use
Disk2Vhd to convert a physical computer to Virtual Machine (virtual hard disk) then create a VM and attach that VHD .

Help Installing Forms 11G on Windows 7 64 Bit

I am trying to install. I installed 64 bit Java JDK, Weblogic generic server, and finally Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer (11.1.1.2.0). When the Portal, Forms, Reports, and Discover install get to step 6 of 16, it reports: INST-07408: Unable to install or configure the product on a 32-bit JVM on a 64-bit machine. Note that the error seems to be a complaint against a JVM, not a JDK. Does anyone have a fix?

I've seen this question come up a number of times recently so just to make clear. Oracle Forms 11.1.1.2 (which is the first patch set to 11g) is certified to run again Window7/IE8 browser clients.

Wondering if there is a way to circumvent limitations with exported forms

I am a DW user. Love it since 2001.
I discovered Muse. Love it since version 3 (& Muse CC is great)
Using BC for website hosting. Highly recommend it.
BUT…
Whenever I use MUSE to generate a form (something which i like better in Muse than using the BC website form builder online) and I decide to export the form (or a complete Muse website with the form to use in a section of my DW controlled BC hosted website) as HTML I get a folder with all i need to place about inside another website… In my case in DW to push on a website that I am hosting in BC.
BUT…
Problem is that the HTML export generates PHP that needs to be used with regards to the form (it is located in the Script folder inside the MUSE Exported website folder)…
BUT… BC does not allow PHP to be used on its hosted websites…
          (something as a M.A.M.P. user, i find sad, but that is besides the point…)
SINCE I use Muse for quick custom sections on my Website
(I work in a modular way i.e. I can generate webpages in various apps
before combining or adding them via Dreamweaver in any of my websites I have hosted on BC)
AND the exported forms (as in PHP outputs) are not compatible with BC
(something which i find baffling since Muse can host forms on a BC website!)
I am wondering if there is a way to circumvent this bizarre case of (so it looks like) double standards with regards to Forms?
Should I push (publish) the website in BC from Muse
and then Import it in my other BC website via DW
(And if so, how to do it without damaging my main site in DW on BC?) ?
Right now, I place the muse exported HTML website folder inside my DW on BC main website
and then go in the form page and substitute the form (essentially recreate a new form!)
using the BC website form builder system that i then copy and paste from in code view into my DW form page to customize it with CSS in DW (while making sure I keep all the info required by BC forms to do the data acquisition work, of course).
This is a tedious way and looks totally bizarre to me,
as I already mentioned, MUSE can host forms on BC…
but just not when it is exported as HTML (with the PHP required scripts)…
Am I missing something ?

PS For those wondering why i do all this Muse and DW shuffling and mix : I have to do things in a bilingual (and soon with more languages) setup. in other words, my work is not just in English…it is in at least 2 languages at all times… something of a headache, but there it is. I just got to do it. (And use is great for quick and dirty… i mean clean… webpage building on the fly).

I've been using Dev 2000 ver 6i for several months sucessfully on Win 2K RC2. The compiled .fmx's work fine with the ver 6.0 runtime environment under NT 4.0.
The only problem is that the Forms Server won't work till the 1st patch set comes out
(only Oracle knows when!) , so you can't test or deploy the forms as web apps on Win 2K yet. OAS 4.0 appears to work ok on Win 2K.
I have been using the Beta version of Dev 6i and will upgrade to the release version eventually, probably when the patch comes out.

For the Oracle Business Process Workspace (BPM 11g), when opening a work item, is it possible to configure out the Workspace to open the Task Form in new window instead of opening in the bottom section under the work item list?

under the above path, you will have img folder and place the image containing your custom logo.
under the same path you will have src folder
in that folder you can place your custom css file (eg. mycustomstyles.css) and you need to define your styles in this file
you can call the style items for the presentation objects at design time for labels and all other objects. But do not forget to refer your custom css file in the properties section.
Once you open the bpm presentation object in which you want to apply your css, in properties pane you observe four options in CSS sub section of properties. Here select the CSS file with webroot path and give appropriate styles to each presentation data objects.

Can you explain your requriement clearly.
You have two views ParentView and PDFView. Two views embedded in Window1.
By default ParentView will be displayed.
Now you are navigating from ParentView to PDFView. Then ParentView will be replaced by PDFView in Window1.
So here what is ur requriement. Why do you want an seperate Window here.
If you want to open the PDFView in a popup. Just create another Window2. Ember PDFView in Window2. Now from ParentView opent Window2 as a model/external popup.

SOS I am in trouble Installing Forms Server on Windows 2000 Server

I need advice on installation of Forms Server on Windows 2000 Server. Is Forms Server only meant for Windows NT. Since Windows 2000 Server is an extention of Windows NT there could be a way out which I am not aware of. On installation of Forms Server I get message that Forms Server components can work only on Windows NT 4.0 Service pack 5 or higher. Please Help

Hi gentlemen
I have parent form include button this button when the user press it, it will call the other form but in same window (that what I don’t want)
My question is how I can open another form in separate window (same as when you open it alone)

Use open_form..
Read the help in Form builder for the open_form built-in... Pay particular attention to the 'SESSION' or 'NO_SESSION" argument. Pick your flavor.
For every application that I have ever made including and above Forms 5.0 I always use...
open_form('myform', ACTIVATE, SESSION);
This opens a form up in its own window, gives it focus, and makes a new separate session.

Smart form in another window

TO call a Smartform, we have to call its corresponding F/M.
Here what you can do is, before calling this F/M, set a custom screen and Call that screen first. (say, Call Screen 9000)
Then in the PBO of that screen 9000, call the Smartform F/M.

Set default File Export Form for Communication Medium?

Does anyone know whether it's possible to set a default File Export Form for Communication Medium.
For example, I created communication medium 'Direct Mailing'. Everytime when a user selects this communication medium in a Marketing Campaign, I would like the File Export Form 'Z_DIRECT_MAILING' to be selected automatically. Is this possible?

@ Rienk - That isn't my issue, what I was looking for was to have the last setting I selected (either in Batch Export or in QT Movie Export) "Stick" so when I go to do the next set I don't have to re-select all of my settings.
@ Nick - Not a good thing in this case. I need to send out QTs that have the speed change "baked-in" and convert the format(to ProRes, so the Color Grading session using "Color" doesn't choke. I changed my Sequence: "Settings > QuickTime Video Settings > Compressor" to ProRes, but the "Current Setting" seems to stick to the original clip's capture format (XDCAM EX).
