Export FR to HTML

Is there any way to export a FR report to a HTML file?
In workspace you can see FR reports as HTML, but I can't see a way to export it.
We would like to export the FR report and publish it on a server that don't have workspace. I know that one way could be using PDF and leave it on a web server, but when you have the HTML report is easier to flip the pages on the drop down and pick the one you want.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
You can export the FR reports in HTML while scheduling it. During scheduling, you need select “Export as HTML" option and select "Export to an external directory".
When Export to an external directory is selected, the enabled drop-down menu is populated by folder locations specified in the fr_scheduler.properties file in the <FinancialReporting>\lib directory on the Hyperion Financial Reporting Scheduler Server computer.
For Example-
When you will open the fr_schedule. properties file, you will find a line in this file as following-
file: # ExportFolderLabel1=ExportFolder1 # ExportFolderPath1=\\\\{machine name}\\{export folder name}
You need to update it according.
Note-
1) Before make any change in properties file, take the backup.
2) Remove the # sign that is in front of this line in the properties file.
Hope it will help you.
Thanks & Regards,

after exporting, images and text may have wrong positions or wrong width and height of the images.
is the problem in the compatibility between acrobat 9.2 and windows 7 ?
    what can i do ?
    Thank you in advance....

thank you, but i think that i can get 90% representation of the pdf,

also i saw examples for some tools which can do that, but for pdf version 1.5 and i think that is on old windows too.

  • How to import pdf with hyperlink and and maintain its hyperlink while exporting it as HTML?

We can import pdf in indesign either using plaacemultiplefile script or using place submenu  under file menu but both of them import pdf as graphic object and lost its all hyperlink. no doubt when i again export its as pdf than hyperlink are there as it is but when i export it as HTML,IDML or other format than than all hyperlink are lost so is there any way to maintain this if no than is there any way to write some new script utilities which will do the same .one solution i think is first convert pdf into docx and than import it as docx indesign import  it as text frame and maintain all hyperlink but in this process pdf file lost its some formating while converting it into docx .

I probably should've remembered "rtfm" before writing all that.  It seems to me now that I need to create a Master Page for each of the different layouts, then dynamically select the one I want to use at run-time, maybe with a script event ?  The Master Page creation is a bit messy ... the only way I seem to be able to get multiple Master Pages is to open each Word doc, let Livecycle import it, then copy all the content into a new Master Page in my main document.  That is, there doesn't seem to be a way to import a series of Word docs directly into separate Master pages of a single Livecycle form.  I'll continue with the "read" part of "rtfm" ...

  • Manual backup of bookmark json file is empty, export of bookmark html file "self-deletes"

I'm now using Firefox 17.0.11esr in Win 7 at work and 26.0 in Win XP at home. I tried 24.2.0esr at work, but had to return to the earlier version, because of this problem below, which also happens with my home machine:
I cannot save, manually or automatically, a usable bookmarks json file for use as a backup. The files are always empty.
When I try to export a bookmarks html file, it begins to create and save it, but then "self-deletes" it before it's done.
Why is this a problem with 24.2.0esr and 26.0, but not 17.0.11esr? What can I do about it?
    Thanks

You can try to create a new profile and keep both profiles open at the same time.<br />
You can do that by starting the second instance with the -no-remote command line switch (see further down).
Then you can do a copy and paste of the bookmarks in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) from the current profile to the Library of the new profile to create a new places.sqlite database file.<br />
If that works then you can copy this places.sqlite file to your current profile folder.<br />
You will lose the history, but it is possible to copy history items to a bookmarks folder in the new profile.

  • I have been asked to supply a HTML file for a newsletter. I have created the newsletter in muse CC. How do I export it to HTML or show client befroe going live?

How do I share work created in muse with my client? How do I supply a HTML file?

    Hello,
Either you can Export it as HTML and Share the exported folder with client or you can Publish a temporary site using Publish option with Business catalyst.
    1. Export as HTML:
Go to File > Export as HTML , Select the location where you want to export the file and click OK.
This will give you HTML and all other related files to view the newsletter.
    2. Publish a Temporary Site:
Go to File > Publish or Publish to Business Catalyst,
This will generate a temporary link as example.businesscatalyst.com and you can share that link with your client.

  • Animation in Indesign CS6 export as a HTML for widget in iBA?

    Hi together,
For me it`s the first question. I would like to animate pictures in iBooks Author. So I know about the tool hype. But I would like to use Indesign CS6 to create Animation files. I create a simple animation in CS6, export as a swf-file. Now I receive example.swf and example.html. Create a new folder with Default.png, Info.plist and example.html. The .swf file is in a folder named SWF. Next I create the folder  a .wdgt. Import in iBooks I read the main html-file is missing.
Is my way possible: CS6 animation as a widget in iBooks Author? Or is it better to use other tools in the world of Apple like hype for example?
    Thanke and best regards
    Boris

I'm quoting another post by Gadgetgurl42 here on a similar question...
"iOS doesn't support swf as this is the exported verison of a Flash file. Putting the swf file into a widget won't change that fact.
As sb0117 mentions, your best bet is to look at HTML5 animation."
I wouldn't use Hype to create your assets as it's really quite limited in that respect, but create the assets in Photoshop and import into HYPE to create animation.
I'd also do a couple of test files to check how the resulting animations look, full-screen on the iPad.
Alternatively, if you're more familiar with Pages, etc, you could use Keynote as the learning curve might be easier.

  • Issue with Exporting Pdf as HTML

    Hi all,
I am trying to Convert a PDF to HTML using the "Save as Other -> HTML(Web Page) in the File menu, After Conversion I see some of the characters that are present in Symbol Font are not converted properly(Eg a text 8.7 appears as ""). instead of numerals. Any thoughts on this issue. Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Srini

I can't see this working very well. Even if it exported a correct reference to the symbol font, people who view the converted page probably won't have the font and won't see the symbols. You can perhaps replace them with graphics.

  • ALV in Web dynpro ABAP - Export option as HTML

    Hi All,
I am developing a webdynpro application for which output will be in ALV.
Here the requiremnet is to save the file in HTML format.
But the Standard ALV in web dynpro has only the option to export the result in Excel and PDF.
Could any one suggest or tell me that is there any customized way to add the HTML format option in the ALV.
The output of the ALV should be saved as HTML.
Note: In R/3, The ALV provides us with both Excel and HTML format.

  • Export pdf to html/txt/xml

    Hi,
I downloaded "adobe acrobat x pro" for trying the "save as"/export functionality to xml/htm/text etc. and the result was exactly what I was looking for in terms of output, keeping formatting etc.
However, I am building an application which need to have an embeded library in order to do pdf to html/txt/xml conversion on the fly keeping formatting.
I have tried a number of libraries for pdf to html/txt/xml conversion an none of them deliver anything near what adobe acrobat x pro does in terms om keeping format/tables etc.
So, my question is how can I get access to the "save as"/export functionality in adobe acrobat x pro in any official adobe library, sdk, service, product etc. since I assume acrobat x pro does not expose any api for convert functionality or may be used serverside?
    Best regards,
    Rick

It sounds like you want to use Acrobat as a web service. Rather than pursue this route, you may want to note that such a use of Acrobat is not permitted under the license. Thus it may not worth pursuing. Why convert to HTML is a possible question anyway, at least on a regular basis? On occasions I can understand the need.
For programmable features you should probably check in the SDK forum.

  • In Firefox 3, I was able to import and export to an HTML my bookmarks. This either does not exist any more or is well hidden. Your support answer is not up to date with your current level.

Organize bookmarks no longer exists on Firefox 4. I have been to your support page "Exporting bookmarks to an HTML file" and this level of Firefox is in 3 and below. Can you help me be able to transport my bookmarks from Firefox to Firefox on different machines.

Go to Bookmarks menu--> Show All Bookmarks ( Ctrl + Shift + B ) --> Import and Backup --> Export HTML

  • What are the different ways to Export JTable to HTML file

What would be best way of going about (well the easiest way) in exporting a jtable to html file, I can only think of one...
Would it be to create file, then loop through Jtable and write data to the file using appriopiate tr, td tags..
Are there any other methods which are better?

Perhaps you could use XMLEncoder to write the JTable to an xml stream, and then use xslt to convert it into the html you want. Not sure if that is any easier.

  • Exporting clickdummy as "html + images" creates too many gifs

Hi, I created a prototype in Fireworks, exported as "HTML and Images". There are multiple pages and a few slices. My problem now is the images folder. It's huge. There are thousands of gifs. Is this normal? I wanted to provide this prototype via an online link, but you mostly see the images loading from top to bottom when opening any page. It's annoying. Working offline from desktop is fine of course.
Do I have to reduce the number of sclices so that there are fewer gifs in the image folder? I would have to cick off some hover states... or is there any other way to reduce the number of images the page is build of?
Thanks for any help and advice!
    Mari

OK, thanks, that already helped me. But unfortunately I didn't manage to create these html-text slices. There are just green solid boxes where I can enter html text but I dont know how to transfer my different text areas in combination with images to html + image slices. Do I have to slice up the whole page?
After trying and studying the article you mentioned above I exported as Css and Images and now my page consists of html text and some images, looks nice and is edidable in Dreamweaver. But with this method I loose all the hover functionality. In which direction should I work on?
A export as Css and Images and try to insert the hover and swap-image functionality manually in Dreamweaver or
B export as Html and Images and try to learn how to add html text slices?
    Thanks again!
    Mari

  • Export as (X)HTML seems to discard footnote marks

I've a large collection of publications developed in InDesign, but when I export them as (x)html, the footnote marks change from maall superscripted numbers to full-size non-superscripted numbers.
Is this an intended behavior, a bug or something that can be corrected?
I really need to retain them as superscripts, as ourcustomers are unlikely to want to pay for de-footnoted text (;-))
    --dave
    [email protected]

Regrettably, the problem is that the XHTML contains neither a nor a <span> for me to style with css: it looks as if the superscript is discarded in
    File -> Export for Dreamweaver
File -> Export for Digital Editions and
    File -> Export -> XML
Interestingly, the supescript is present in
File -> Export -> Tagged Text

  • RichEditableText: export().equals() and HTML export

    1. How can I find out that two richEditableText.export() are equal?
At least the order of the attributes in the TextFlow element is random which means that exported strings cannot be compared directly. Take for example the trunk.mxml from http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-21836 and compile+run it several times and you see the different order of attributes. Is there a utility method somewhere to compare two exports? (BTW releasing the source of TLF would ease these kind of bug hunting...)
I know how to use richEditableText.textFlow.generation but this only indicates changes in the current component.
    2. Is supporting html import/export on the roadmap?
(This question got burried in the information stream... http://forums.adobe.com/message/2042067#2042067)
Gordon Smith: TLF's TextFilter class supports importers and exporters for HTML_FORMAT, but I haven't tried them and don't know how robust they are.
I think the HTML export in TLF is not yet stable. The thing is that once
it is stable there is pretty much no way to insert the import
functionality into RichEditableText without rewriting most of the
component. In my opinion, it should be either integrated into
RichEditableText even at this early stage or RichEditableText should be
refactored to allow extending it in an easier way.
    Thanks for any hints,
    Marc

    Hi Abhishek,
Nice conversation I do not expect that TLF covers the full HTML standard. After all, browsers are too good when it comes to HTML rendering...
    with varying degrees of fidelity.
I remember reading in the TLF forum, that HTML import/export was experimental. That's why I wrote that HTML is not ready for prime time. Also your comment shows that HTML is a poor choice from a Flex perspective. Unfortunately, it's unclear what varying degrees of fidelity really means as I'm not aware of any precise documentation or code.
Concerning your idea about passing around a (mutable) instance of TextFlow, I'm not a great fan. The power of markup is besides others, that it is a comparable description of content and format. So I definitely prefer an equal function. If this function doesn't make it into the Flex 4 release, I  reluctantly add to each TLF markup a dirty flag which is based on TextFlow.generation.
As mentioned before, I prefer TLF could export all content and formatting into HTML compliant format. There are many reasons why HTML is a huge benefit over any new, widely undocumented format (this is not specific to TLF or FXG). A few reasons that come to my mind:
    - Server side: Apache Lucene has a battle-proof extractor. With TLF or FXG, I had to write and configure my own.
    - Server side: Extract and modify links in content. This is obviously very easy with HTML as there are age-old libs available.
    - Flash Player: Compare two TLF markups. There might be also no actionscript lib for HTML available. But I'd happily start a project for HTML but not for a new format without underlining code and thorough doc.
    - HTTP communication: what's the mime type of TLF or FXG?
    - Every developer knows HTML, TLF/FXG must be learned. I regard this learning as a high barrier as TLF does not seem to be a big step forward compared to HTML.
Note that I don't prefer HTML because it is an "open standard". It's because the whole world knows HTML and that brings a much higher engineering efficiency (and that's maybe due to the open standard). If not all information of TLF can be export HTML, it's a pity but just document it.
    Looking forward to your thoughts/comments,
    Marc
    abhishek.g wrote: Hi Marc,
    Thanks for your reply.
TLF supports many different markup formats (TLF, FXG, Plain text, HTML) with varying degrees of fidelity. It would simply not do to compare HTML because there isn't a 1:1 correspondence between TLF and HTML capabilities. From that perspective, TLF format would be your best bet though I realize there is the problem of inconsistent attribute order.
Perhaps your scenario is better addressed by having utilities to compare TextFlow instances rather than comparing corresponding markup (this needs additional thought).
As for HTML import/export, it is obviously be beyond TLF's scope to implement the full HTML standard. The current implementation is loosely based on the HTML capabilities of flash.text.TextField (see htmlText property), which itself is a small subset of the standard, and deviates from it in some ways. When you say HTML support is not ready for prime time, are you referring to this limited scope, or have you encountered specific bugs in the implementation? If the former, I'd like to know what your expectations are. If the latter, please report them.
    Thanks
