Export from premier using media encoder

Hi, how can I export from my timeline into media encoder? When I go to export from premier it doesn't give many format choices.

I'm on the cloud and everything is the latest and up-to-date.
These are for MP4 and Quicktime

  • How to export to WMV using Media Encoder in Adobe Design Premium?

I am using Adobe Design Premium CS6 under Windows 7, I found out that there isn't plugin for Adobe Media Encoder to export WMV. Is there a way to add the WMV plugin or purchase from third party vendor?

You may need to install either Premiere Pro or After Effects for that to be an option.
You can always use the free Windows Media Encoder from Microsoft.

  • Export from PP or Media Encoder?

For exporiting, why would I want to export through Media Encoder instead of directly with the Export button? Do they both use the same quality codecs?

There are some operations that will revert to CPU processing in AME, even when GPU acceleration is on, whereas with a Direct Export, you get the GPU for all operations that normally use it.
Well, since the GPU monitor is an external program that seems to monitor the GPU usage with every program I have, it's hard to see why it would decide to always show 0% with AME
However, let's suppose you are correct (I'm about to run some more tests since this peaked my interest again), what operations will AME defauilt back to the CPU instead of using the GPU?  Where can I find this list?
Every time I've done the test with and without GPU, the time to export in AME has been the same.

  • Can't export video from Premiere using media encoder

What the title says. I export the avi (have tried other codecs) but all i get is the sound, no video.  I think the problem is that source name in AME is set to C:\Users\Jamie\AppData\Local\Temp\rum noodle.prproj/Sequence 01. From the searches i've done alot of people put it down to uninstalling CS3 after having installed CS4 but this is the only installation of Premier i have had on this PC (vista 64bit).
I need it done for tomorrow and i have no other software to do it with. Please help!

  • CPU Usage Question between Premier and Media Encoder

    Hey guys,
Here is the question. I just built a new machine with the following specs:
    Intel i7 2.66GHz process overclocked to 3.2GHz
    12GB Memory
    Nvidia 260 Overclocked video card.
When I export a video from Adobe Premier into Media Encoder, all 8 cores peg out at 100% and thus my CPU temp get hot really quick (78 - 80 degrees Celsius)
Now if I take the same original video file and just drag it into Media Encoder, my 8 cores only show about 24-40% usage and the temp only gets to around 55-60 degrees Celsius.
What is causing such a big difference in CPU usage? I'm afraid to use Adobe Premier as it causes the CPUs to max out everytime. I want to edit my videos, but as stuck with just using AME on the original files.

I suspect its simply because in the first case Pr and AME are both running. In the later, just ame loading the Pr project. In the forst case two projects are running simultaneously, the one in Pr and a temp copy in AME.
But more troublesome to me is why youve built a system that cant be maxed out. IN editing, we Want the CPUs to peg to process as fast as possible. IMHO; You should re-think the design of your workstation if it overheats so easily.

  • Captivate 8 wants to use Media Encoder CC as a default and I only have Media Encoder CS6

    Hi!
Yesterday I switched from Captivate 7 to 8.
Usually I'm using FLV's which get converted to MP4 on HTML5 Export.
Captivate 8 tries to start Media Encoder CC, which I don't have and then crashes. Except for Captivate I've got the CS6 Master Collection installed.
There don't seem to be an option in the preferences to change which program should be used to convert.
    Any tips?

I just tried this and updates for CS6 and CC were downloaded and installed.
Captivate still tries to start CC and failes, but now I can lock into the error report:
    Dyld Error Message:
      Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libcurl.4.dylib
Referenced from: /Applications/Adobe Media Encoder CC/Adobe Media Encoder CC.app/Contents/MacOS/../Frameworks/dvacaptioning.framework/Versions/A/dvacaptioning
Reason: Incompatible library version: dvacaptioning requires version 7.0.0 or later, but libcurl.4.dylib provides version 6.0.0
So if I get this right, my MacPro is finally too old, as I can't install a newer OS on this

  • Is using Media Encoder faster than Transcoding with Encore?

I'm fairly new to the Adobe video side of things, I just switched over from Apple but I am really liking what I'm working with. I've been using the Adobe Dynamic link to edit and auther DVDs. It's nice to not have to overload my computer with exported movies, but it seems to take a very long time to transcode within Encore. What seems to be much quicker is exporting the file out of Premiere and then using Media Encoder to transcode it using the highest quality DVD preset (and switched it to CBR 9 Mbps since my video is only 10 minutes long). I guess I'm curious if this is the method that others use or if most people use Dynamic link to author DVDs.
    Thanks,
    Joel

The problems some users experience tend to involve Bluray and dynamic link.
For DVDs, I use dynamic link and like it. I do set the preference (available with CS5 and above when using Transcode Now ) for Encore to transcode movie assets using AME, and I transcode with transcode now prior to doing a build.
I do not have a CUDA card, but my understanding is that AME is using 64 bit.

Exporting via Compressor may be recommended but it is slow and doesn't fully support all available filters, etc.
Try exporting the timeline as a QT Movie (the "normal" export) using Current Settings and them submit the resultant clip to Compression. Works for me...

  • Matching Delivery Specs using Media Encoder parameters

Trying to match these Delivery Specs using Media Encoder and I can't seem to find any reference to some of the parameters.
    These are my Delivery Specs.
The following are my settings in Media Encoder:
My confusion is whether these settings will satisfy:
50 Mbps (Long GOP) for Video
    422 Profile@HIgh Level
2 channel Stereo muxed with Video
MPEG-2 Transport Stream or MPEG-2 Program Stream
Bitrate and Buffering Details set to VARIABLE (this is the default setting at present) Is this correct for CBR file generation or does it have to do with something else in the process?
Thanks in advance for your helpful assistance.

    Hi Thomas,
I am trying to make the changes you have suggested:
Where do I effect the change to set Profile to "4:2:2"??   I am looking at the Advanced Settings Tab and do not see a descriptive parameter to change?
Where do I change the muxing mode to Constant?  Looking on the Audio Tab I don't have that parameter either?
VBV Buffer Size has been changed to 224.  I was able to find that parameter.
Thank you so much for your guidance.

  • Exporting from Premiere Pro CS4 using Media Encoder gets stop error

I am trying to export my timeline from Premiere Pro CS4, using the Adobe Media Encoder CS4 to export my timeline as an MPEG2 HDTV 1080 24, and it goes for about fifteen minutes then I get the blue screen and my computer restarts, telling me the program had a stop error.  Is there a way to go around this step?  Another method to get the mpeg2 without losing quality?  Anything I can do?
Please offer any knowledge you have before I scream at my computer again.
    Thank you

as I know Adobe products are buggy no matter what hardware you have.
I am sorry, but my experience has been the absolute opposite of what you have heard, or experienced. I have used many, many Adobe programs for almost 2 decades (maybe even more than 2 decades?), and have never observed such. I do have to admit that over those many years, I have always had a "state of the art" computer, but have made plenty of $ using Adobe software. Even with my now aging workstation, things work great. Time to upgrade though.
When troubleshooting issues, they shake out like this:
    1.) system
    2.) Assets
    3.) Project
    4.) OE
    5.) Bugs
This is after troubleshooting Adobe issues from almost the time that PS hit the PC, when they were only NNTP, in what, 1985?
Now, I am not saying that your issue IS hardware, but only that that is the most likely issue, given a BSOD. Also, system is the #1 cause of issues, so that is where I start.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Export (Premiere CC 2014 & Media Encoder CC 2014) not using 100% of CPU

Hey all, had this problem for a while now, Adobe CC 2014 just doesn't want to utilise my CPU, thus taking a 3min clip to encode forever (god forbid I use any effects or a 3 minute clip encodes for over 5hours - no not a joke) it doesn't matter if I use the built in encoder in Premiere or use the Media Encoder. I've seen that many people struggle with this but no-one has supplied a solution not at least oen that I could find. Does anybody know a workaround? Just to throw in some numbers here. A same project file, with the same export settings with the same source files and on the same computer of course; 1 hour and 21min clip encodes in 2 hours and 24min (h264 2pass encode with 35mbit stream) in CS6, with CC 2014 it takes 6 hours and 49 min and that is just preposterous.
As can be seen from the screenshot Adobe CC 2014 is only using about 50% of my CPU thus encoding slower. I wonder if there is a way to tell Adobe to just use all of the resources that are given to it?

  • Can't export .MOV in AE cc render queue, But I can Export .MOV using Media Encoder cc

I get “[file path and name].mov”. An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464) when trying to export .mov using AE cc render queue but works fine in media Encoder cc. My problem is that i need to export animation with alpfa channel for a client and cannot find an alpha channel option in media encoder.
    Please help

To export with an alpha channel in Adobe Media Encoder, choose "32 bit" from the Depth menu under the Video tab in the export settings. (That refers to 32 bits per pixel: 8 each for R, G, B, and A.) Of course, that option is only available if the codec can include an alpha channel, such as with the Animation codec in a QuickTime container.
