Export from Table

Question

Hello
I just moved the spool to the file and then selected the rows. But this is very slow and the rows r not the way i would like to have them. Is there any function in PL/Sql to export a table to a file? Any examples available?

As for the performance, when using sqlplus or any other client-side tools, it may be slow due to the network traffic. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
If you do it that way (your settings plus a 'select *' following), the output file will have right padded spaces in the fields. Problem w/that is if you want to sqlldr the data back into Oracle, you'll have to specify NULLIF field=blanks. Big PITA. Is there a set options to get rid of the excess spacing or do you have to resort to a much more tedious concatenation method involving rtrims?
