Export functionality application

Hi,
We are currently working on Microsoft Office integration settings.this is to easily process originals in Microsoft Apps like MS Word,PPT etc. directly from the DIR.Could anyone throw some light on the Export switch and what can be actually transferred with it?

You can use the Export switch to decide if the DIR data is to be copied into MS Office application.You can transfer fields from the following data groups:
- Document data from table DRAW
- Class data from the DIR
- Short text from the table DRAT

Export function not working in Internet Explorer

so i've got a report displayed in IE, but when i go to export to any file format, IE opens a new tab and that's it. depending on certain settings (like adding the server to intranet zone), i can get the new tab to say nothing or "Blank Page".
i've tried adding the server to the safe zones, i've played with some tabs settings, i enabled the "run active x" options...
finally i reset all settings of IE to their defaults. i still can't figure out what i'm missing. if i copy the url to another browser the export works fine, as expected. on another machine i found this "rsclientprint 2008" addon so i downloaded
that but i still got nothing.
on a working machine, when i click the export button, a new tab opens with the name of the reporting server in it, it thinks a bit, then that tab closes and i get the "open or save" message in the original tab. on the one that's not working, it
opens the new tab, DOESN'T show the server name and that's the end of it. so it seems like it can't connect to the server on the export function. (but report creation works just fine)
anyone know of anything glaring that i'm missing??

good call - i'll try that now.
the app i had installed before was Classic Shell so that Windows Explorer's (win7) left hand pane doesn't jump around on you when you double click.
i just completely uninstalled the application and rebooted. still nothing.
going to do a repair while classic shell is uninstalled. brblol

so i couldn't run the IE installer (per MS suggestions) because i have a newer version. so i tried the fixer that i found here:

Import and Export Function

Hi all,
My application does not work properly after I do the export/import application function. When I import the application, two things fail - the page authorization scheme and the breadcrumbs.
What can i do to avoid this problem ?

Jeff,
The breadcrumbs problem is a bug. When you installed the app as a new app ID, the data wasn't adjusted correctly by the install program. You need to edit each page's menu region and select the correct menu region from the lov in the Type attribute. This bug has been fixed in later releases. I changed this on page 1 and 2 for you.
The auhorization schemes all seem to depend on the successful execution of the before header process on page 1: BEGIN
   SELECT lower(gid) into :P1_GID
   FROM USERS
   WHERE lower(email)=lower(:APP_USER || '@oracle.com');
END;This process fails because of the association of the dependence on '[email protected]' being in your users table.

Export function crashes Windows Explorer or at least the exported images do.

This is the first time that I have used the Export function since upgrading to version 2 so believe that it is tied in with the upgrade somehow.
When I choose an image > Export > Temp folder on the Desktop the image does indeed appear in the temp folder. Double clicking on the folder displays the contents and so long as I take no further action nothing more happens. However, as soon as I move the mouse over the image icon this causes Windows Explorer to crash.
With LR closed down, I navigate to the folder where the image is located and by right-clicking > copy I then save a copy to another temporary folder on the desktop. Moving the mouse over the image icon does NOT this time cause Windows Explorer to crash.
I have tried the Export function with RAW, DNG and JPG files to see if the problem was related to any one particular file or file format but it makes no difference - the same problem as described above occurs.
Has anyone else experienced this or can advise on how to possibly isolate this problem?

Thanks for that John. Having done as you suggested, the problem appears to be with a dll file associated with another application I used for displaying cr2 and crw thumbnails in Windows Explorer. In the applications (dpMagic) preferences if I uncheck jpg and jpeg from the file associations Windows Explorer does not crash following Export from Lightroom and in this situation, double-clicking on the exported jpg/jpeg file now results in it opening in Windows Fax and Picture Viewer.
Even uninstalling the application followed by manually searching for any trace of remaining files prior to a fresh install does not cure the problem and I suspect that not all files from this application are being removed.
Anyway, I have now emailed dpMagic support for advice but am happy that the cause of this crash does not now appear to lie with Lightroom.

Export function won't work - help!

Running iPhoto 6 and for some reason my "export" function doesn't work anymore. I'm not sure if upload companions (shutterfly, flickr, etc.) are interfering, but suspect they are. Any have this problem before? Any suggestions on how to fix? Many thanks! Tom

In your Applications folder, select the iPhoto icon and go File -> Get Info. In the resulting Get Info pane you can manage the installed plug-ins. Turn off the third party ones and you'll be able to see if that's the issue. Then a little trial and error will find the particular one that's causing the issue.

Can't use Export Functionality from form?

Hi experts,
I got a problem now, can anyone help me??
This's my system information:
APPLICATION: 11.5.10.2
DATABASE: 9.2.0.6.0
And the problem is:
- Open 1 Form
- File > Export
- The progress bar update to 100%
- The browser is opened
And it suddenly disappear.
I've checked metalink and see this note: 423261.1 How to Troubleshoot Forms Hanging Using Export Functionality
I think it's fail in phase 4:
4) Finally generate the URL, and display the file in the browser window by calling the Forms built-in web.show_document
But i don't know how to solve this problem. Can anyone show me?

Export an Application

I am a newbie to Oracle Application Express and started it two weeks back.
I am exporting a test application I have created to another machine using the import/export functionality. The application imports successfully to the destination machine (under a different user and schema). However, the tables and the database links which I created in the original application are non-existent on the destination machine. Due this my application doesn't work on the new machine.
Please suggest a solution.

To include them in an application export, create a packaged application, including supporting objects.
Use the Database Object Dependencies Report to determine which DB objects to include.

Error While exporting an application in SCCM 2012

While exporting an application in SCCM 2012, getting this error !
"The Export application wizard completed with errors"
Error: The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.
Any help around it will be greatly appreciated !

The problem is in the error message

Reduce the path to where you are storing the export. As Jörgen suggest hang the export off the root of
the drive eg: C:\Export.
What's the name of your application? Is this long as well?

Export functionality doesn't work properly in reports post upgrade to EHP1

Dear Experts,
We have recently upgraded our BI system to EHP1 SP 7. Pre-upgrade the export functionality (to excel or pdf) was working fine, however post-upgrade in few reports we have encountered some issues.
In a couple of reports the exported excel is blank, in some reports, few web items are displayed properly but others not and in some reports exported excel or pdf is as it was pre-upgrade.
Could you please suggest any note or any solution which could fix this issue?

After further analysis I find that the issue happens with only those reports in which export to excel/pdf is done using a webitem which is hidden in web template. If the web item is made visible the data is exported to the excel/pdf and if hidden again it again results in blank excel/pdf.
Please suggest any solution to this issue.

It depends entirely on the business requirements. Specifically
- is a lot of concurrent 'history and active record' reporting required?
- what is the ratio of active to deleted records?
- can the [performance, maintenance and development] cost of avoiding deleted records be justified?
- is a 'history' table acceptable instead of inline records?
- what is the "too many rows, we need to delete some" archive strategy?
Once past the analysis stage, into design
- is the shop oriented towards RDBMS as a data manager or a data storage and retrievval system?
- do developers code in a client/middle tier or are they knowledgeable coders in the database tier?
- do you intend to squeeze the value out of Oracle, or do you code everything on your own?
These last 3 questions are really the same thing.

Export function is not working.

Hello gurus,
I am using the export function and I am unable to download the tsv file.
We have 2 development instances (both R12) and it works on one of them but not the other.
The file I am trying to export is under OM\Quick Order Organizer\Holds Information tab\Hold Sources button. Menu: File, Export
At the decision dialog, select Continue to End then the exporting data form pops up for a split second and goes away with no export tsv file created.
Can someone help me with this. Thank you!

Please review the database log file for any errors.
Also, make sure all pop-up blockers are disabled at the client side.

HOW EXPORT MY APPLICATION IN APEX

Hi please I have a problem, I created my application in my computer of my job, but I want to export it with "support objects" and to work at home. When I export my application has problems because my application haven`t the tables. When I want to install the support objects it generates an error referent to the tables that i want to include in the application. Why ? What is the problem ? What do I have to do for the support objects installer accepts the tables that i want to include?

To continue installation after addressing the errors, navigate to the Supporting Object Definitions of this application and click INSTALL in the Supporting Objects Installation section
Alternatively, you can desisntall the application definition and reinstall after resolving the issues

Lightroom 5.3: cannot resize a pict in export function with "bord etroit" parameter.

After install Lightroom 5.3 we cannot resized a pict in export function with "bord etroit" parameter. It's good with "bord large"!...

I've to re create three tables on a different system... for which i need to export from one environment and import the dmp in another, there are a couple of thing i would like to know
1) how can i use the export function to take multiple tables and put it in a single dump
2) what would be better , create backup tables for these and then export coz in the other environment similar tables exist, or is it possible to remane these tables while exporting
the tables have large number of records in them... the database is Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0

That depends on the your requirement, then is an Option "IGNORE" => ignore create errors (default value is N)
