    I used to export graphics from Score view, using a camera tool. It has disappeared in Logic 9. What happened? Screen dump is too low resolution.

    Hi
    The Score Editor does still have the camera tool (below the Velocity tool in the menu), but it is much better to use the Print to PDF functions built in to OSX.
    Select Print, then click th ePDF button in the dialog box.

  • Qosmio F30-117: How Vista calculate Win Experience Index Graphics score?

    My F30-117 has a Display adapter type NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600. WIE gives this a graphics score of *4.9* based on the following info:
    Total available graphics memory 399 MB
    Dedicated graphics memory 128 MB
    Dedicated system memory 0 MB
    Shared system memory 271 MB
    However my G40-108 has a Display adapter type NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT. WIE only gives this a graphics score of *4.4* based on the following info:
    Total available graphics memory 1791 MB
    Dedicated graphics memory 512 MB
    Dedicated system memory 0 MB
    Shared system memory 1279 MB
    Anyone know why? Both PCs have the latest drivers and all available Windows updates. Both are running Vista Ultimate. If anything I would expect the scores to be the other way around !

    Hi
    The Windows Experience Index Vista feature that is designed to help better understand
    how Windows Vista and other software will perform on your computer.
    As far as I know the scale of the Windows Experience Index ranges from 1.0 to 5.9.
    A higher base score means that your computer will perform better as a computer with a lower score.
    I dont want to explain the whole features because there are many useful Microsoft pages which already provide such informations:
    Check this:

  • Export Graphic w/Transparency, CS6 Server, Fail

    I have a script that loops through all graphics inside an adobe indesign document. The script senses what type of graphic file it is (JPEG, TIFF, EPS, PSD, etc), and, based on some simple rules, the graphic will get exported as either a JPEG, or a PNG.
    For source graphics that have the POTENTIAL to have transparent pixels in them (TIFF, EPS, et al), the export format is set to PNG. For all others, the export format is set to JPEG.
    This has been running quite well for some time now, until I switched over a development server to CS6. It was just discovered, this morning, that graphics w/transparent pixies get exported as a PNG, but, where my transparency USED TO BE, I now see a big ugly piece of white. It's terrible.
    I've scoured the documentation looking for an answer. Suprisingly, I see a new batch of PNGExportPreferences that I didn't have available to me in CS5.5, but, none of these seems to do the trick. The one that stands out to me is app.pngExportPreference.transparentBackground = true. The documentation for this property is a bit ambiguous in my particular use-case, and, sadly, doesn't seem to do the trick. I'm still seeing a big ol' white blob where I would expect to see transparency.
    The basic syntax for what I'm doing is:
    d.allGraphics.each(function(graphic){
      graphic.exportFile(ExportFormat.PNG_FORMAT, "graphic.png");
    Ideas?

    NEVERMIND. I am an idiot. The script is running fine. the .transparentBackground setting IS the trick. I just completely FAILED to remember, until now, that MS's paint program cannot handle transparency. I was viewing the exported graphic in Paint. SUCH an idiot.

  • Exporting graphics for Apple iPhone / iPad

    Hi, I'm putting together my first App for the iPhone and I have a question when it comes to exporting my graphics from Photoshop. I have looked all over the web place and I can't find a direct answer, I hoped that someone might have an idea in here?
    My psd has the embedded colour profile - CHROMiX iPhone Aug08 as I have been advised to use from the web. From here all I want to do is export the graphic. I am exporting as a PNG-24. The exported graphic is either slightly washed out or much much darker. As this is my first time in doing it I don't know which is right, nor do I know why I am getting two different results.
    My current colour settings is set to Europe General Purpose
    The psd has been assigned the Chromix profile
    When I export for web as a PNG, sRGB is NOT ticked.
    Any ideas? Please! I am getting nowhere with this....

    Welcome to our community, smjohnson_1
    I'm assuming you are referring to Tim Mushen's article at
    this
    link.
    What you could do is to work with someone familiar with
    linking web pages and forms to other databases. Then using the
    information provided in Tim's article, you could have a custom

  • Export graphic for use in Premiere Pro Cs4

    Hey everyone, I have made some wiring diagrams in AI CS4 and need to have them apear in a DVD, I have tried several cominations and they are not clear on the video.  My settings are RGB, DV NTSC Widescreen, have exported for Web and Devises and in Tiff & Targa 72 & 300 DPI.  The diagram has text that looks fine in all the stills but in Premiere and the exported video the images look like a poor photo copy.  Thought I'd start here before asking in PPro.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Mmh, differences between versions aside, you are pretty much getting what you are asking. Any compressed format will have a hard time with perependicular lines and lots of high fequency detail (text, the coil spirals). There's really no way to avoid that otehr than to draw thr graphic differently, i.e. not use straight lines and a different way of presenting the text callouts. Also, you could massively improve perception by having the graphic move with a simple slow pan. the motion will lead to a more favorable distribution of the pixels across the scanlines, as the content changes every frame and in addition, motion blur will help to reduce flicker. Lastly, give the graphic some finesse by perhaps making the lines white and adding a dark outer glow to separate them from the background. these blended areas also help to reduce artifacts that appear with harsh transitions on straight lines. If it's an option , you might even want to use color for the + and - cabling (usually blue and red). As Wade suggested, you might try rendering to a different spec, but depending on what your intended final output is, this may not help at all, so working a bit on the graphic might pay off more.

  • Exporting graphics in SWF format

    Dear all,
    I have a question regarding Illustrator. I have recently produced a graphic containing a lot of gradient shading using the MESH TOOL.
    Ideally I would like to export this into Flash in SWF format but everytime I do this the outines and solid areas of colour are exported as vectorised graphics but the areas containing the gradient shading produced using the MESH TOOL are all rasterized as solid pixelated graphics. Is there anyway around this? Do I have to do something to the graphic in illustrator before exporting. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. My email is [email protected] I could send you the original graphic to see where I am possibly going wrong.
    Thanks and regards
    Keith

    If I recall correctly gradient mesh objects are just not supported in the swf export process.

  • Problem exporting graphics to XML - dpi vs. impsize

    Hi,
    FM 7.2b128, exporting XML using schema.
    I've had a structured app that I've used for a while that exports an impsize attribute (which I want) and does not export the dpi. The read/write rule is:
    element "image"
      is fm graphic element;
      attribute "impsize" is fm property import size;
      attribute "impby" is fm property import by reference or copy;
      attribute "sideways" is fm property sideways;
      attribute "impang" is fm property import angle;
      attribute "xoffset" is fm property horizontal offset;
      attribute "yoffset" is fm property vertical offset;
      attribute "position" is fm property position;
      attribute "align" is fm property alignment;
      attribute "cropped" is fm property cropped;
      attribute "float" is fm property floating;
      attribute "width" is fm property width;
      attribute "height" is fm property height;
      attribute "angle" is fm property angle;
      attribute "nsoffset" is fm property near-side offset;
    However, I've been making some schema/EDD updates and other changes and suddenly impsize is no longer exported, only dpi. I can't figure out anything I might have changed to cause this to happen. In the documentation, it suggests that I should put in a "specify size as" rule, so I did that, but I still can't get the impsize back unless I put in a rule to drop the dpi, such as:
    element "image"
      is fm graphic element;
      writer facet default
        specify size in in;
      attribute "impsize" is fm property import size;
      attribute "dpi" drop;
      attribute "impby" is fm property import by reference or copy;
      attribute "sideways" is fm property sideways;
      attribute "impang" is fm property import angle;
      attribute "xoffset" is fm property horizontal offset;
      attribute "yoffset" is fm property vertical offset;
      attribute "position" is fm property position;
      attribute "align" is fm property alignment;
      attribute "cropped" is fm property cropped;
      attribute "float" is fm property floating;
      attribute "width" is fm property width;
      attribute "height" is fm property height;
      attribute "angle" is fm property angle;
      attribute "nsoffset" is fm property near-side offset;
    So, is this is working, but is it the right way to do it?  Did I just get lucky before that impsize was exported instead of dpi?
    Thanks,
    Russ

    For what it is worth...
    I do not do much XML exporting, but started a project that needed it. I am creating an XSLT to convert the exported XML into HTML for a company intranet. I also noticed that I could not get Frame to export the impsize instead of dpi. I also tried the specify size in command, which did not work. I did not think to try dropping the dpi. Thanks for the suggestion.
    So, this is not a question, but just to confirm that Frame is not doing what its documentation says it should. Maybe this is another bug that got overlooked in the testing.
    (For the record, I DID discover a change in the way things work that DID get corrected in the last update. It would be nice if Adobe acknowledged these misbehaviors and let us know that they are trying to fix them.)

  • Exporting graphics/images at full-resolution?

    Good morning.
    So, I've got a series of indesign documents, all of which contain various different types of placed graphics; eps, png, jpg, ai, psd, and the like.
    I know that I can export these graphics from Indesign server, via script, by iterating allGraphics, or, splineItems, just to name a few.
    What I noticed, though, is that the exported file is sized to the frame it was placed in.  In other words, if I placed a 3000x2000 px jpeg into a 320x240pt box, did some fitting options on it (say, fill Proportionally), then the exported image will be just that, 320x240.
    How do I go about exporting these Graphics at full-resolution? IE: I want my exported PNG to be 3000x2000.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks.

    "An odd way to use ID…" -- That brought a smile to my face. Perhaps, odd, yes, but I've done worse, believe me.
    There is a valid reason I have for not doing a collection, and pulling out the orginal assets/Links. I require them to be PNG.
    InDesign server does a bang-up job at converting all EPS or AI or PSD files into PNG when I ask it to, but, it does so at a cost: It shrinks the exported/converted files to fit the size of their containing frames. Poo.
    Here's a snipperoo of what I'm doing. Perhaps someone else has done the same, and figured out the full-size problem I'm facing.
    This is part of a larger script, I've trimmed fat for brevity
    (function(){
        var graphicExportDir = new Folder(source.path+"/graphics");
        graphicExportDir.exists||graphicExportDir.create();
        d.allGraphics.each(function(graphic){
            // Can I do something, here, to get my pal InDesign server to export at full-res?
            graphic.exportFile(ExportFormat.PNG_FORMAT, File(graphicExportDir+"/"+graphic.itemLink.name+".png"));

  • Export graphic with the application

    I notice on some sample application I have installed, it say do you want to install support objects or something to that affect.
    How can I attach the graphic to the application export so that when I install it somewhere else I don't have to do it seporatly.

    Doug,
    If the images are in the Shared Components > Images and specified for that application, then you can create a export file by going to Home > Application Builder > Application XXX > Export/Import > Export > Images (tab). You can then add that file to your Supporting Objects Installation Scripts. Then when you export the application, that install script will be included.

  • Exporting Graphics from CorelDraw to Flash

    Hi,
    I'm having issues exporting from CorelDraw (v 12) to Flash
    (v8.0).
    I searched the forum but only found posts suggesting things
    I've already tried {
    swf}
    eps/ai}.
    What's happening is that any file type I've tried to export
    from CorelDRAW appears to corrupt in some way when imported into
    Flash. This is the
    original
    image in Corel. If this is saved as an .swf, then imported to
    flash, it appears
    like
    this (note various missing lines). If the graphic is copied and
    pasted directly from Corel into flash, different errors appear,
    this
    is a zoom of the uppermost corner - note the non-meeting lines,
    and lack of bolding/dashing on the lines where it previously
    existed. Saving as either EPS or AI and importing causes different
    errors again, usually in terms of really badly vivid colours.
    I know that with CorelDRAW v9 a plug-in existed which helped
    export as an swf which imported OK into flash. Does a similar
    plug-in exist for Corel 12, or has anyone got any other
    suggestions?
    Thanks very much for your help!
    Tim

    Corel is a terrible program - I think thats where your
    problem is. Make sure you're working (in Corel) in RGB, as that
    could cause color difference. As per the lines not meeting up,
    thats just zany. eps/ai/swf all keep the vector-ness alive, but if
    thats not working, and you absolutely must work in Corel (they do
    sponsor tennis tournaments, after-all, thats nice of them), I would
    try a bitmapped solution. (png/jpg/gif) It'll up your filesize and
    negate the vector positives, but at least it will look like you
    want it to.
