  • Web page does not fit screen. now have scroll bar at the bottom

2 problems exist and i have tried to find solutions to both with no luck. On Firefox 16.0.2 using XP Pro.
First: Web pages no longer fit screen. Now have scroll bar at the bottom. For some strange reason this just started. I tried the CTRL+ 0 with no luck.
Second: At the same time the above started when i open a program it opens in a reduced screen size and i have increase it to full screen size. This also occurs when i have it reduced 9in the system tray and i bring it back to the desk top.
I have made no changes to firefox these problems just started. A reboot of the computer did not help

Did you check the window settings of the Firefox desktop shortcut to see how Firefox opens?
Did you try to delete the current Firefox desktop shortcut and create a new shortcut?
Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.
Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window (use the keyboard cursor keys).<br />
If that works then first close all other open Firefox windows and then close Firefox via "File > Exit/Quit" to save that setting.

  • Flash video - YouTube/ iPlayer does not fit my secondary display, please help

For the last few weeks, everytime I try and play video such as in iPlayer or YouTube on my secondary (1920x1080 Samsung TV 40") monitor, from my MacBook Pro 15" (New Thunderbolt version)  it has a border and does not fill the screen. The YouTube divx mode works fine and does fill the screen, it's happening on Chrome and Safari, I've reinstalled flash, but no luck - Please help

You need to have Image+Wireframe ON to grab a drag point (little squares at each corner) to re-size to full screen.
Ensure the Viewer and Canvas are set to "Fit to Window" before starting.
Double click the small clip in the Timeline, it opens in the Viewer.
Place the playhead over the Timeline clip.
When you scale the clip in the Viewer you will see it update in the Canvas.
This way you see waht you will get straight away.

  • External 24 inch Monitor Not Crisp at 1080p with HDMI (and does not fit screen)

I have a Macbook Pro (about a year old) and just bought a 24 inch ViewSonic VX2453mh-LED. I have it plugged in via HDMI and at 1080p the desktop bleeds off the edge of the screen. Adjusting the underscan makes the desktop fit correctly, but it does not look crisp. Even when Underscan is all the way off and the desktop is too big for the screen, it does not look nearly as good as my Macbook screen.
I cannot change the settings on the monitor to adjust the screen size, presumably because I am using HDMI and have it set at 1080p. All the other resolution options are awful. How can I fit the screen correctly and esure I am getting the best look? I read something saying that VGA was a better route to go, is that true?

    1) Go into your monitor's menu
    2) Select Input Source
    3) Select (go into) HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 depending on what you have connected. There you will find 2 choices with the first one selected by default (I dont remember what those options are since am not in front of the monitor)
    4) Select the second option and the display should fit into your screen perfectly
Wow, this is what I was looking for!
I had poured over the monitor settings but never saw this menu. You have restored my faith into the Apple community forums! Thanks!
EDIT: Thank you for coming back on here and sharing after you found a solution.

  • Dialog Boxes - For example Preferences Will Not Fit Screen

I am having a problem with Adobe Version 8 preset dialog boxes being too large for my screen. I also have the same problem in Quicken so it may not be an Adobe problem.  In boxes such as Preferences or Properties when opened I can not access the bottom portion of the box.  Particularly a problem when what is being hidden is the command button such as OK or SAVE or FINISH or CANCEL. The boxes open in a preset size and I can not modify the box size.  Nor can I drag the header bar far enough off the screen to access the bottom command buttons.  Use that lovely MS Vista.  Might anyone have an idea on where to start?  Danke Schoen!

I am using a Sony Vaio laptop.  It uses a Generic plug and play monitor.
The screen size is 15 inches.  Resolution is 1280 by 800 in true color 32
bit mode. Changing the screen resolution does not affect the problem in any
    manner.
Knowing shortcut keys would not help.  You can not see the bottom command
buttons, therefore which shortcut key do you use or is one even needed.
If the dialog boxes were resizeable then I would not have a problem.  I went
looking for some setting in Version 8.1.5 that would allow me to resize
these boxes but it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I am updating to Version 8.1.6 to see if the newer version does anything to
help.  And yes I the monitor drivers are all current.

  • IOS app using AS3 not fitting screen dimensions

I'm building an iOS app using as3 and air to package the app onto my iPhone 6. My issue is that I get a black bar above and below the app, the app itself is not going fullscreen. The stage screen is set to the iPhone 6 screen dimensions.
I have tried by adding the following launch images into the app folder; [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected] But it's not being displayed properly.
Does anyone have any fixes for this?

    Hi ericmathew
iPhone 6 & iPhone6+ require different Launch Images than older phones:
    For Example,
    For iPhone 6 : Default-375w-667h@2x~iphone.png
    And iPhone6+ : Default-414w-736h@3x~iphone.png

  • H264(Youtube/Vimeo Preset) export looks flat and desaturated- H264 Gamma?

All my h264 output both quickitme and mp4 looks flat and desaturated after export compared to to the program window. This happends with both cs5.5 and cs6.
I know there is some h264 bug with Quicktime but  its flat on Youtube also( in Safari) I thought this gamma issue has been sorted out?
How can I output my files to youtube so it looks the same as my Program monitor on youtube? I know all screens are different and you need a color calibrated montior( I have that) but why the shift?
It just does not seem that anyone has an answer. x264 does not work... anything else? QUickitme x does not have the ability to do the "opacity fix"
How will i get that my output on my client screen will not be so flat. ( I know it wont be exactly the same (as TVs in a showroom) but the difference between the video inside premier and outside is VAST!
I dont want to "fix" it by addinga contrast and saturation layer and them on a Windows machine maybe its then overly contrasty?
I'm on 17" MAcbook PRo Using anexternal calibrated NEC Monitor.
Did I miss a major answer on the web somewhere?

So what do you guys do? Just add an extra layer of process ( I have added a fast color correction Adjustment layer and clipping the black at 10 and the highlights at 245 and putting the saturation at 120. Its a thumbsuck though...
How on earth do  people who colour grade on Davinc or Lustre etc output there stuff to Vimeo.(Yes I know it goes to film or TV , but what about thier showreel?) It also uses H264? Is there ANY codec I can use to upload to Youtube that will look like my program monitor?
It is facinating how these companies provide all these wonderful tools and in the final polished output you cannot get it too look llike it looked inside the product! Baffling!
If I had a Windows machine would I have this problem?

  • Photo does not fit in the screen

I watched that video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJMi5l9Ru-g     and tried this to do the parallax scrolling with the image this on my page. Unfortunately, my photo does not fit in the whle screen, even if I take a . jpg image  3000 px wide. ( look here ) I have no idea how I can get the photo to fit in the whole screen.
    Thank you for your help.
    Heike

    Hello again,
I'm sorry, but nothing works and I don't understand, what you mean. I will show you again with no other item on the page. I draw a rectangle which snaps each of the lines at the outside.
I got rid of the stroke and the fill.
I filled with a .jpg image 3000 px wide.
For the future parallax scrolling I need to set up the photo in vertical tile. And this is, how it shows on the screen.
I still have no idea, what I made wrong. Thanks for your help

  • EyeTV exports to Apple TV are not widescreen?

I exported a film recorded using EyeTV to Apple TV for the first time today. The film played OK on my TV except that it was not wide screen and there were black borders either side of the picture. Is there a way to export widescreen, I could not find anything in the preferences?
    Thanks
    Tony

I am using 3.0.2 of EyeTV (3.0.3 was released today but I have not downloaded yet). Movies play OK within EyeTV, it is only after exporting that I see the problem. To export I simply click on the Apple TV icon on the EyeTV Programs window, are there any preferences on the export?
I have just looked at the movie in iTunes (ie exported from EyeTV) and it looks widescreen in iTunes. Problem seems to be the import into Apple TV? Apple TV does not seem to be showing this program correctly for some reason.

  • I have a macbook 13"screen purchased in 2007; I want to hook it up to my HDTV; I purchased a mini display port to hdmi adaptor but it does not fit.   what kind of adaptor will work for this model?

I have a Macbook, 13" screen, purchased in 2007.    I want to hook it up to my HDTV; I purchased a mini display port to hdmi adapter but it does not fit.   Any suggestions?

If you connect yourMacBook using a MiniDVI/HDMI adapter you will need to use external speakers for audio since the pre-2010 MacBooks will only send video through the MiniDVI or MiniDisplay Port . The MiniDVI/HDMI doesn't carry audio and there's no audio plugs on the TV to work with HDMI since it's expecting audio with the HDMI.
If your TV has a DVI input plug you can use a MiniDisplayPort/DVI adapter. Then a DVI cable to the DVI input plug on the TV. The TV will have RCA audio plugs for use with the DVI. Plus DVI gives a sharper image than HDMI.

  • Fit screen in subview or zoom in/out not saved ?

    Hi,
I made some subviews with 3 ou 4 big tables, and clicked on "fit screen" button,
or "zoom out", then saving everything,
but after when I reopen it, nothing seems to have been saved ?
Is this an issue, bug , or something to do to keep the "good" object size ?
    Regards, Pierre

    Hi,
All screen size states can not be saved.
We could add such option in the future.

am editing with red files in premier pro and when I export and then upload to youtube it is not showing as an hd video.  can anyone help?

Then it's probably YouTube - have you checked here to see that you're watching the hi res version? It could be that YouTube is choosing an easier version to display based on your internet connection.
You can see on this screenshot that although the video has up to 1080 specs, my connection is making YouTube show me the 360p version by default.

Install or Reinstall OS X from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Erase the hard drive:
      1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
      2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
      3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
      4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
