Export iMove from iPhone to MobileMe

hello everyone
I have just created my first iMovie on my iPhone4 with the iMovie App . When I export it to MobileMe it is put into an allready excisting Album? Does anyone know why?
I would like to have it under Films and as an independent movie. Is that possible?

The straightforward way is to sync your iPhone to your Mac. They should end up in iPhoto on your Mac.

SOME Contacts Not Being Pushed From iPhone to MobileMe

Some of my contacts aren't being pushed from my iPhone to MobileMe. Some aren;t being pushed from MobileMe to my iPhone. I have 51 contacts on my iPhone and 35 on my MobileMe. If i create a new contact on MobileMe it might be pushed or might not. Same goes with iPhone.
Anyone got any ideas or having the same problem? Im just using the internet based contacts because I'm on Vista

One thing to try.
Export the photo, from iphoto, that will not sync to the iphone.
Make sure the file name has an extension. (something like .jpg or .bmp)
Import the photo back into iphoto.
Now try syncing the photo to the iphone.

GOAL: I'd like my iPhone to be sync'd with my iPhoto albums & carry some of my favourite photos on my Phone but not take up too much memory. That way. I can check the boxes for which albums I want to put on my iPhone, but iPhoto will be the master copy. Make sense?
DILEMA: Some of the photos on my iPhone haven't been imported into iPhoto (for whatever reason - don't ask because I'm not 100% sure) and I don't want to lose them, but;
a) when I open iTunes and I can't 'see' the same folders as I can on my iPhone (apart from the camera roll) - so I can't move/copy/ export the remainder
b) the option to sync iPhone using iPhoto means overwriting with my iPhoto library
c) MobileMe has no 'multiple' upload function
d) iPhoto has no import from iPhone function
I get the hunch that this functionality might be something to do with copyright infringement (cool) but it's not allowing me to move/copy photos that I took & own the copyright to (uncool)...
Either I'm missing something or the Genius watching the support topics just got a raise for suggesting a new feature of iPhoto. If any of this makes sense and I'm missing a trick, please post something to put me out of my misery peeps!

Photos sync from iPhoto to the iPhone via iTunes, with the sole exception of pics that are taken on the iPhone itself - those go into the camera roll and can be transferred from the iPhone to iPhoto. But, photos in any album in the iPhone Photos app (not the camera roll, but albums) must have come from iPhoto.
If you sync the iPhone to a new computer, iTunes-managed media content (music, videos, apps, and pics from iPhoto) put on by the old computer is replaced by content from the new computer. You mention a backup - do you mean a backup of the iPhone? If so, iTunes media content is not backed up (pics in the Camera Roll are, but no other pics). See this kbase article about iPhone backups.
So, it sounds like you did not transfer your full iPhoto library from your PowerBook to your iMac. If that's the case, you should do that (using an external hard drive, or Firewire target disk mode, etc.) then sync the pics to the iPhone from the iMac.
It is possible to extract the pics from the iPhone using 3rd party software (e.g. TouchCopy, google it) - but, remember that pics are 'optimized' during transfer to the iPhone. Optimizes means reduced to 2 megapixel images, so if you get them from the iPhone you can never recover the original high resolution images - thus, the best solution is to get them from the PowerBook.

Export 60fps from iPhone 6 in iMovie 10

I just bought an iPhone 6 and am filming at 1080p@60fps. Although iMovie is able to import and edit the videos, it has no ability to export at 60fps! Furthermore, the quality is definitely reduced since I cannot "Export to Quicktime". This trend of oversimplifying their applications is seriously irritating. How can they sell and market 60fps on the iPhone 6 and not have their own applications support it. Final Cut Pro doesn't properly export it either, although someone suggested creating a 60fps project -- but I'd have to re-edit everything -- not to mention it's a $300 piece of software.
If anyone else is in this situation, I suggest sending feedback to Apple. For now, there seems to be no solution

but 1080/60p is no official distribution format!

1080/60p is a 'computer only' format. Will be supported in the future, when rec2020 and h265 is 'standard'.

What you call 'oversimplifying of apps', is Apple's >30y mantra of 'keeping the standards'. .. You can find dozens of examples in the past. In the Windows ecosphere, option is the mantra; mts-straycats, avis with h264+ogg audio, DV with muxxed audio-streams, euphemistic called by MS as 'dv1' - all optional. Not supported by everyone, causing trouble everywhere… but optional. Choose the tool which fits your needs best.

When you incidentally set a FCPX project to a 'wrong' fps, you simply select all/copy the Projects timeline, and paste it into another one with your preferred fps.
The P in FCPX stands for 'pro' - a pro knows what s/he does, a pro gets paid for his job, a pro has to respect standards for a guaranteed flawless delivery. So 300bucks is a snap (compare to Adobes CC, Edius, Avid...); or, you're an enthusiast (as me) and have learned the design of codecs, formats, ... stuff.

Importing movies to purple iMovie from iPhone, iPad, and iPhoto

I have created movies on my iphone and on a Lumix camera. I am trying to figure out the best way to have all my movies in iMovie rather than iPhoto.
I have already likely made the mistake of transfering my Lumix data to an iPad with iOS while I was in Asia. In retrospect, I suppose the best way to get those pictures from my iPad to iMovie would have been to not export the movie from my iPad to my Camera Roll and into iPhoto but rather from my iPad to iMovie.
I also suspect that my iPhone pictures seen on Photo Stream on my iPad would have been best exported to iMovie and from my my iOS iMovie App to send to my Mac iMovie application.
Are these two ideas correct?
However, some of my movies are already imported into my desktop iPhoto. So, I tried dragging and dropping to my Mac's desktop. I then imported my movies (that came from my iPhone) into my Purple version of iMovie. That was fine except when I trashed my desktop movie to the Trash, it became greyed out in iMovie. So, next question is what I am doing wrong at this point?
Next, my movies from my Lumix imported into my iPad were also then transferred to my Mac OS iPhoto. I dragged those pictures to my desktop but the format is not xx.mp4 but rather is xx.MOV. Is there a better way of dealing with my iPhoto xx.MOV's to get them into Purple iMovie?
Finally, should I just leave all my movies in iPhoto and when in iMovie desktop just view them from the Aperture or iPhoto sidebar? Can they or should they be imported from the sidebar into iMovie? If so, can they safely be deleted from iPhoto or will my iMovie clips return to being greyed-out?
I would ideally like all my movies in iMovie and not have duplicate movies in iMovie and iPhoto.What is the best way moving forward to do this properly and to be optimizing my time and organization?

Regarding iPhoto "also importing into my local iPhoto library" -- that is up to you and is controlled by a setting in the menu iPhoto > Preferences > iCloud > Automatic Import.
I have used both Photo Stream and the USB import method and find it easier to not use Photo Stream and just periodically do the USB import and immediately delete from the Camera Roll.
Another option you may want to look at, if you just want to delete a number of pictures already imported in the past is Image Capture. It allows you to select photos on the phone (previously imported or not) and delete them without importing if desired.

How to export music from iPhone to new PC?

I recently purchased a new PC and was unable to transfer the music library from its predecessor. Currently, that library lives on my iPhone. Is there a way to export the music library from my iPhone to a PC? I've tried backing up the phone to the PC and to iCloud but haven't been able to locate said back files.
Keep in mind that plenty of the music is before I had iTunes so they are not purchases through iTunes, I'm sure that will affect this somehow. I don't want to download third-party software to use the phone as an external hard drive, there has to be some way to accomplish this throug iTunes.
Ideas?

Saw that post. Those instructions are out of date for the latest release of iTunes on a PC and do not work as written. Plus those instructions do not indicate where the files are placed on the PC once it backs up.Checking all iTunes folders the music was not backed up to any of those folders.
Other ideas?

How do I upload video from iphone to Mobileme WITHOUT compression?

When I upload to mobileme, video gets automatically compressed. I understand it if I am on 3G, but if I am using Wifi, why can't I upload from my iphone the full size video? There is nowhere to adjust the settings to prevent compression. Any help is appreciated.
