Export iMovie - error on iTunes event

I have created an iMovie and have exported it in "large" format for use in creating a DVD. Now (a couple of days later) I am trying to export it in mobile format but I am getting an error as follows:
*Missing Media*
*The following Event used in this project is not currently available:*
iTunes
*The portions of the project which reference this Event will show black frames.*
I can view my iTunes music within the project, the music will play, etc. so I'm not sure what this error is referring to. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Go to services and initiate the bonjour service. It works to me.

Error while importing music in iMovie 11
I have the same error explained in a other post which was still left unanswered
I have this sound problem after reorganising folders by itunes, i tried to delete al files in itunes and also
deleted the xml file in the itunes dir, created new playlists, but still i have no music sound in imovie timeline
after dragging a mp3 into it. When i preview the file in imovie it souds ok.
Also i see the red dot with the number 1 in the itunes logo while dragging the mp3.
Is there a solution for this problem?

I'm having the exact same issue, but still haven't figured out what it is. I note that at the top of this thread it indicates that there are two "helpful" entries and one "solved" entry, but I can't find the solved one, so maybe someone will repost it here or kindly link to it.
There is one icon missing though.
As I read through the excellent tutorial at http://www.kenstone.net/fcphomepage/imovie_09stone.html I scroll down to the point where he talks about dragging music in from iTunes, which is what I'm trying to do. I can see, in his screen shot, the extra little icon that is a red oval and a white "1" in it. I don't get that icon when I am trying to drag my music into the video. I do get the green and white plus icon when I try to drag my music in. Also I DO get BOTH the red 1 and the green plus when I try dragging in a sound effect, which I can do with no problem. But why not the music?
I've been able to drag in music with no problem in other productions, so I can't figure out what is going on with this one. I'm sure there is a setting somewhere that got flipped, but I can't figure out where.
In desperation I also tried adding an extra title slide at the end of my video just to make sure there is more video time than music time in the production, but that didn't help at all.
Any help guys?

Due to some kind of copy protection in iTunes - I don't copy directly from this in iMovie
to my projects. (Most often the result of doing it in iMovie is a DVD without any sound)
I do
• In iTunes - collect needed audio into a new Playlist
• then burn this out as an Audio-CD .aiff (NOT .mp3)
• This CD I copy into a folder on my Mac (often containing other material that's connected to the project)
• And then I drag and drop these .aiff files into my movie project in iMovie.
This works Greatly and even more so when I do my DVD.

I've unable to Export iMovie project in everyway I have attempted for the past 2 weeks.I have a late 2012 iMac with 8gb of RAM and 700 gb of free space on the hard drive. The video I am trying to export is 48 mins long with most of the source footage from a NIkon D3100 and several other cammcorders. I've been exporting with Apple Intermediate codec because that was the only one that has work so far but it only worked once and since then I have had to make changes to the project and now I'm unable to get it to work. For all Quicktime exports in H.264 or AIC (my prefered format for this export since I figured it'd offer the highest quality when I import it into Encore for making a dvd out of it) Which just stops exporting in the last few minutes without explination as to why or it crashes and quits. It either leaves a partial file or nothing at all. When I do "export movie" I get a "not enough memory Heap zone error"
I don't know what to do any help would be greatly appreciated!
By the way I happen to have Adobe CS6 Production Premium but didn't know how to use it as well when starting the project and now really regret not using it because it appears to be 10x more stable and capable of handling all the tasks I want it to do.

(the Application down in the Dock - not the Device)
But this can mean many thing's - My first thought is
Free Space on Start-Up hard disk. How much ? (other disks do not count)

Are your event clips in h.264? If so, you can solve this by Right clicking on your Event Name and choose "Optimize Media". You can choose Full for 1080P or Large for 960P according to your preference.
After you have optimized your Event, you should be able to Share with no problem.

-108 mean you are running out of (free) RAM.
Try restarting the computer just prior to sharing. That frees up RAM.

Final Entry
Ok - after much cutting, trial and error and days of work I have never really established a root cause for the -108 error. Nothing I did resolved the issue to the orginal project.
The only work around I have found is to split the Original Project into two.
What I found was that anything around the 60 mins mark and above just failed to render in HD and showed the -108 error.
What worked for me was creating two project files - one around 57mins long - the other a part 2 - around 17 mins long. All using exactly the same source clips, photo's, music and transitions as the orginal.
This now works. I guess having it split in two makes it a little easier to work with as I wont have to keep rendering the first part which does not change but really wish Apple would throw some light on this.
Anyway - I hope all of the above at least proves useful for others.

Cannot export iMovie project - Help please

When I try to share the project I've worked on for over a week, I get the following ...
However, that event is in the iMovie library.
The only thing that happened differently this time is that I mistakenly deleted the event files from the event library before I exported the project to save disk space. But once I found out I needed the event clips in iMovie in order to share the project, I found out the clips are still in User > Movies > iMovie Events > British Isles Cruise 2013, so I imported them back into my Event Library in iMovie. So the Event and all the clips are back in iMovie, but I'm still getting the above error, as if iMovie doesn't realize the event is still there, and I cannot share or do anything with my project other than view it in iMovie.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.

just dragged them out of the Events folder, and back, right?

Can't export iMovie to camera roll on iPad Air

I can not export an iMovie to my camera roll. When I select 'save video' the box that says 'exporting video' appears but never loads
I'm using my iPad Air version 7.1.2, iMovie 2.0. I have 41GB of free space.
The 14 min movie includes video (shot on a Canon camera), photos (taken on a Canon camera) and songs (purchased on iTunes).
I've read that you need to tick iMovie in settings/privacy/photos - however iMovie does not appear as an option
iMovie is ticked in settings/privacy/location services
I have successfully exported the movie to iTunes and have saved this iMovieMobile file to my PC - this file is 3GB or so in size
The movie plays perfectly in iMovie however I want to export it to play on a PC, TV etc. Please help!

One thing that might help.
1. open itunes preferences from the edit menu and click on the devices tab.
2. check the box to disable syncing for iphones connected to itunes and click ok.
3. Then click the button to reset sync history.
4. Now click ok to close the preferences window.
5. connect the iphone to itunes and go to the info tab.
6. scroll to the bottom of the info page and check the box to replace the ical data on the iphone.
7. then click apply on the bottom right of itunes.
This will overwrite any events on the iphone, including any events that has become corrupted.

Exporting GB content to iTunes

Hi,
I have created some material in GB but can't seem to export it to iTunes. I've set up my export preferences in GB, clicked 'Export' and iTunes then opens automatically but there's no sign of my song. Nothing! I get no error message so i'm no sure what's going on. Has anyone else had experience of the same problem?

I am having the exact same issue.
I have been using GB for months now and it has always been great - but today I started work on a job and I can no longer export the track to iTunes.
Exactly the same thing happens that you have reported. GB goes through the motions of exporting - iTunes opens but there is no track. I have adjusted my Artist name in GB prefs but it does not show up in iTunes and a search of the drive only reveals the original file.
Apple, please please please allow us to simly save the file to disk - we all love iTunes but there is no need to force us to export our tracks there - sometimes we want to import them into Peak or another app and now your exporting method is failing and it is simply not worth it.
Please get a fix for this asap as I really need GB to be working 24/7

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

TS3694 Error message "Itune could not copy 'song' because of an unknown error occured"??

I purchased a couple of albums from Amazon and downloaded to Itunes. I have done this many times in the past. I can play the songs on Itunes but when I try to upload that music to my Ipod I get an error message "Itunes could not copy "song" to the Ipod because of an unknown error has occured. I have purchased many albums and songs from Amazon and even the Apple store and never had this problem. Has anyone had this happened and was there a fix to be able to upload the music to the Ipod???
