How can i do in order to get export file in multiply volumes?

Pixels.
For a 1" x 1" photo first crop the photo square. Then export with Kind = Current with JPEF Quality = Maximum and Size = Full size.
Then when you go to print the photo select a 1" x 1" print size. This will squeeze all available pixels in each dimension into the 1" dimension giving you the highest DPI resolution available from your image file.

IPhoto 08 crashes when exporting to another volume

iPhoto continually crashes (closes unexpectedly) on exporting to another volume. Sometimes the photo is exported and then crashes - at others the photo is not saved but crashes. The most photos I have been able to edit and export in a row is 12!
I have sent numberous "report" messages. And down loaded upgrade 7.0.1 all to no avail. I would expect this to happen with a micro$oft product and it appears as if I have paid for a downgrade instead of an upgrade.

Just started to edit and export photo again and it crashed after the 5th photo. Here is the log file that was sent along with the report which I doubt anyone really reads.

Storage Space - Unable to view exported Mirrored REFS volume over ISCSI Target in Vmware, but works with Simple Volume. Is this expected

Followed Steps:
1. Created a Storage Pool Combination of SSD and HHD.
2. Created Virtual Disk, with mirror and without tiered.
3. Created a volume using virtual disk.
4. Created New ISCSI Virtual disk and exported to VMware.
Result:
1. Unable to view the Lun, If I create using the mirror.
2. Can able to view it, When I create simple volume.

Before going further, would you please let me know which version of Windows Server you use?
In my Lab environment, I followed steps as you described. However, I can view the Lun when create by using
storage layout: Mirror. Just one different point, I created the new iSCI virtual disk and exported to a Hyper-V (not VMware) virtual machine. Please check if it was the cause of this issue.

Exporting OMF with Volume Levels

My movie's done, I'm trying to export the audio as OMF files for my post guy to use on his machines at work.
Problem is that I can't figure out a way to export and leave my volume levels intact. We've done a lot of the mixing already, but according to Mr. Audio the OMF files I burned for him have all volume levels at 0, no deviation.
Can I export OMF with the volume controls using only Final Cut 5 or Soundtrack?
Next question is about Automatic Duck, a Final Cut plug-in that is supposed to solve my problem. I tried installing it and it seems to not want to work without a copy of After Effects on the same machine. Is there a way to load that plug in for just Final Cut and have it work?

welcome to the FCP forum.
FCP5 does not to my knowledge export clip based audio gain or pan adjustment data in its OMF export ... you'll need something like Automaic Duck's Pro Export plug-in for that
if you already own Automatic Duck's fabulous plug-in then you should have no problem exporting your timline with (almost) all dissolves, keyframes and effects intact.
if you are having a problem then I can only guess you've bought the wrong plug-in ... you need the FCP Pro Export plug-in.
you'll be glad to know that Wes Plate, from Automatic Duck is a regular contributor to the forum so you can be sure you'll get the advice you need.

NFS Export on Clustered Volume

Please forgive what might be a newbie question, but until recently I've only worked on NetWare Clusters.
On my Netware Clustered volume I have NFS shares and this is my load script:

What is the linux equivalent commands for xnfs?
Or what is the best practice for NFS in an NCS environment on OES2SP2?

Load script:
/usr/sbin/exportfs [ip/dns]:[path to folder/file]/ -o rw,sync,no_root_squash,fsid=0
Unload script:
/usr/sbin/exportfs -u [ip/dns]:[path to folder/file]
Lessons learnt:
ensure that entries in /etc/hosts is updated - if a host has multiple dns entires it doesn't seem to work too well without the HOSTS file
Have a seperate load/unload line for each host that is going to access the share. Don't try wildcards or netgroups.
Do not use exit_on_error or ignore_error in the load/unload scripts as it stops it from working!

Export volume

I can't seem to control my export to iTunes volume. Help tells me to adjust the slider located below the right corner of the time line. The only thing I see is at the right of the tempo adjuster. If I adjust that slider way up or way down, there is no difference when it gets to itunes.

Final Cut x exporting different volumes

I have multiple nested clips in a single project. For some reason, when I export them individually through compressor (I'm using the same setting for each) They export at different volume levels. They sound and look the same in Final Cut so I have to check every single one once they've been exported and it's a nightmare. Anyone have any ideas? I'm using FCPX 10.1.1 and the latest version of compressor on Mavericks.

No ideas, but export one of the problem clips as a master file. Bring it into Compresssor and after processing, check the audio. Is it also a problem with that workflow?

CIFS Exports spontaneously disappear

Hi,
On our new OES11sp1 box we have one volume and it is exported as a CIFS share. Sadly the volume will not stay exported. If I restart cifsd (rcnovell-cifs restart) the export will show up and then a few seconds later it will be gone - only IPC$ will be present. Can't see any error messages in the /var/log/messages or cifs.log files. The service shows as running. Weird. Any ideas on causes or further trouble shooting steps? (I have not actually rebooted the server yet....).

Hoist with my own petard. Early on I wanted to test something... like removing default automatic exports of all volumes including the _ADMIN volume. Netware of course only exports what you want it to. So I put a couple of entries in the file /etc/init.d/after.local : novcifs -srn _ADMIN and novcifs -srn HOME. Apparently (I did not know this) the after.local stuff is executed when restarting the novell-cifs service without actually restarting the server.

Cs4 Transparancies wont export

I am exporting .pngs for use in AE CS4 with a "multiply" transparency. the first couple worked properly but now I can not get Illustrator to export a multiply to save my life. I changed nothing between the exports! I have found no solution. I have re started and done a dozen tests with different settings.

As the others said, blending modes cannot be stored in the pixel data. What you are most likely seeing, is that your current export has no layers with valid pixels below it. Naturally, this would not allow any program to calculate persistent color and transparency values, whereas your otehr exports may have met this requirement, giving you the flattened result. Even those files are treated as "normal" blending mode in AE, though, without any additional changes done by the user and even in AE you need to at least have a solid below a layer to get correct blending results - the composition background may have a preview color, but is not considered for processing.

Export all tracks and bounce

Normally i work on my macbook pro and send the wav files to a engineer to be mixed in Protools.
My query is that when iam doing this should i bounce all the tracks individually using the Bounce button or should i do it using the export all tracks as audio files function.
I observed that when i bounce tracks individually the waveform looks more powerful which is a little weaker when i export....Tell me what s right for me;;; Mani

The "Export ALL tracks as audio files" was added a few versions back for the very reason you are wanting to use it.
It creates a contiguous audio file that starts at bar 1, beat 1, and can be imported into any other DAW platform. The export function bounces the audio file at unity gain, which is ideally what you want when sending files to a mix engineer.
Export bypasses any volume or other automation that you might have been using as well. Again, preferable to the scenario you're doing here, as a mix engineer will want to do his/her own automation and processing. Although you have the option of adding that in the export if you desire.
Plug-ins are rendered as well, but you do have the option of bypassing them when exporting. Finally, exporting allows you to export ALL tracks in one go. Bouncing, on the other hand, bounces THROUGH the stereo outputs, rendering any plug-ins that you have inserted on your stereo outputs to the bounced audio file, and is generally used for your final mixdown, or submixed tracks/stems, as it renders any tracks running through the main outputs as a SINGLE stereo audio file.
So all that to say, the EXPORT feature is what you want to use for sending tracks to another DAW for mixing.

Premiere cs6 project manager export failure

Every time I try to use Project Manger to condense, then Collect Files and Copy to New Location, I receive and error message and the export fails.

Every time I try to use Project Manger to condense, then Collect Files and Copy to New Location, I receive and error message and the export fails.

Audio stems export low levels

Hi all
I'm attempting to export stems from FCP X and I'm getting attenuation that I can't explain, and can't seem to avoid.
My steps here are:
Import the 5.1 stems from the sound mix at their native levels
Assign a surround role to each
Place against pictures in timeline and line up to sync
Make picture adjustment as needed (add end tag)
Export with roles as Multitrack QT movie
Export roles as stems (with new duration)
Pan mode is set to "None" on each component - and my assuption was that it would function as a "direct out" - but the results are attenuated by about 6dB.
Adding a pan mode and explicitly using the surround panner to pan each to its destination channel produces the same result.
What am I missing here?

I know it's stupid to want unambiguous professional features, it's pedantic nonsense, but a stems export really should give you what you have, at the levels you have. Back to FCP 7 again... that app knew what it had, and called them tracks, as does Avid.
I don't need tracks, roles are fine, but please, I need what I have out the other end unless I explicitly change it. FCP X has been looking quite useful at last - til you find it isn't, really. Export audio roles as stems? Not very useful.

Save Export settings as a Preset?

Is there a way to save the Export settings as a Preset?
I convert QuickTime files to a variety of different formats that use very specific compression, size, and sound settings. It would be helpful to have user-defined presets so I don't have to manually enter them everytime AND to ensure consistancy.

The answer to your question is yes, with some caveats. You can preserve any arbitrary export preset using the following process:
1) Open a movie representative of the kind you'd like to export
2) Choose "Export" from the "File" menu
3) Select the desired export kind from the "Export:" popup menu (Movie to QuickTime movie in this example)
4) Click the "Options..." button to specify your custom settings, then click OK
5) Note that the "Use:" popup menu now displays "Most Recent Settings"
6) Start the export by clicking on the "Save" button (if you don't start an export the "Most Recent Settings" won't stick)
7) Cancel the export if it is a long one
8) To double-check the export settings, select the "Export..." menu item again. The "Export:" popup in the export dialog should indicate the last export performed and the "Use:" popup should display "Most Recent Settings". Click on the "Options..." button to confirm that the settings are indeed what you desire (you can skip this step once you gain confidence that this process actually works).
9) Without closing the open movie, run the following AppleScript

save export settings for QuickTime movie to file "My Volume:Export to Xyz Format"

10) Repeat steps 1 through 9 for each export variation. Be sure to provide meaningful names for the export settings files.

ALL VOLUMES IN ONE PRESET/CHANNEL STRIP

When mixing, is it possible within one song, to save all volumes from both audio and virtual instrument tracks as a preset in one channel strip. And then to be able to flip to another preset for a different set of volumes?
This only pertains to stationary track volumes and not pan etc.

No you can't save dynamic changes over time into a channelstrip. Channelstrip settings are static presets containing Plug In settings but not their automation over time.
You could export your automated volume as a Midi file and then drag it onto a copy of of your track so it will get affected by the Midi volume changes stored into that Midi file.
Open any automation event list with a keycommand - close your current Arrange page - open a new Arrange page - you will now see a page with all the automation regions containing the data for each track. Make a selection and use "export as Midi file" - reopen your normal Arrange page and import the Midi files you just created.
That's one way I can think of - not really an elegant way of doing this sort of thing though...
The other way would be to just copy the track's automation folder to a new track and adjust the Midi channel in the Midi event list if needed
or
on Instrument tracks make a duplicate channel - copy the Midi region together with the automation and change the Instrument Plug In

Exporting aperture slide show

Trying unsuccessfully to export a large slide show 435 scanned slides to an external drive at approx 50% I get error message Unable to export Slideshow " A volume could not be found"

When you exported your slide show what option did you select, when you view it on your computer what app are you using to view the slide show. Try importing it into iTunes if you have not done that then try to watch it via Apple TV, Or you can make a DVD or the show in iDVD.
