  • Export to PDF option in Visual Composer iView

    Hi Expert,
I am using NW 7.0 .Want to develop a Visual Composer iView based on RFC function module to fetch the data from backend and publish in portal.
In that iView I want to give the Export to PDF option for the corresponding SAP data.
I am referring following link for the same.

But in my case our Visual Composer and BI-JAVA server are different. In this document it is clearly mention that the given code (Formula) is applicable only for the case where both VC and BI-JAVA server are same.
    Specify this formula:

Can someone explain how to modify the above formula to give the export to PDF option in my iView where Visual Composer and BI-JAVA are different server?

    Hi,
Sorry for late replay. Yes i tried complete URL .But i am getting error..
I am using ECC 6.O.Both VC and BI-JAVA are in same landscape. I am calling the FM  ZBAPI_FM_TEST_APPLICATION.

  • How export data in Excel From Visual Composer

    Hay everybody,
I would like to export my data result from Visual Composer to Excel. I've tried with an export data buton, but the exported file has a very bad format in Excel. I've tried an hyperlink buton which contain the Reptname data of the query too, but I can't keep my filters. This second solution can be nice for the format. If anyone knows how I can keep my filters, I would be fine.
    Thanks

I did not get solution by using BW 3.5 , can we export data to Excel ? I am refering

  • Print / Export form data from Visual Composer

    Hello everybody,
I want to print data from a visual composer form (export to PDF and print afterwards is another option). I am using CE 7.1 EHP1.
Is there any tutorial for that?
I only found this one [Exporting Data|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/VC/Exportingdatafrom+VC]. But this is not the right one for me. Printing from a table is no problem, but I want to print data from several forms.
How can I export the data to an adobe interactive form?
    Thanks ahead

    Hello Bernd,
Unfortinatelly, there is no way to Export and Print from the Form View Interactor (This is ALV feature, not VC and they support only the Table Interactor)
From the VC side, you can add the Button to the Form View Toolbar with the Print Action, but in this case, the whole application will be printed

  • Visual Composer Export to Excel/PDF..

    Hello all,
I have a question regarding using Visual Composer's Web API commands to export to excel/pdf etc. I've read the document "How to Export Data from Visual Composer" (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/47fe4fef-0d01-0010-6f87-ed8ecb479123 ) and applied the steps but that is helpful for an individual data service which I was successful in doing.  In my example, for one view, I have multiple Data services pointing to different reports and have charts/graphs/tables against them. I want to be able to print all the Charts/Graphs in the one view and not individually.
Does anyone have any insight into this? If you need more information I am more then willing to explain.
Thank you for your help in advance.

  • Issue in populating dropdowns in Visual Composer

    Hello Experts,
I am currently trying to push application development using Visual Composer 7.0. Came across certain issues which we were unable to resolve:
    1) We have an RFC which gives 10 return tables. We need to fill the data from these tables into respective drop down fields in a form. Now im unable to bind the table to a drop down directly, so is there a way to do it using some operator etc. because if we try to populate each drop down field seperately as many number of RFC calls are made which slows down my application drastically.
    2) Other issue is pertaining to concentric drop downs. I need to create drop down fields in my application which interdependent, for example if i select a country lets say India then in my City drop down only indian cities should appear. The RFC is providing the foriegn key relationship in the output.
Please help as these issues are causing bottleneck in application development.

  • Navigation in Visual composer

    Hi,
I am very new to visual composer. i have two issues.
    1.  I have an RFC to execute in Visual composer, the Input form of RFC to be shown as a first view, once he click on submit, i need to navigate to another view which will show the result as an table.
I am able to execute the RFC , by showing the input form and table in the same page.but i need to navigate to the table view after submit.
I dont want to use the navigations like wizard, accordian or tab.....
    2. My RFC Out put is a table and an export parameter of type Flag ('x' or ' ') , based on this export parameter i need to hide/display some of the table columns.
    Regards,
    Naga

    Hi,
    1. For the first requirement you need to have two layers in your model.
In the first layer put your input form and in the second layer put your table view. Now connect these two layer, to connect click on the fist layer you will get a small green circle on the top of that layer click on the green circle and drag till there is a connection between two layers.
Once you have connected the layers you need to select the event for that connection, this event should be the submit. i.e. when ever you press submit in input form there will be a navigation to second layer.
    2. For this you need to select the cofiguration for table view, in the table view select those field you need to hide based on the flag and set a condition in the display properties to hide that particular column.
before this you need to store the value of the flag in a form which is hidden.
    hope this helps,
    Rk.

  • Adding a parameter for Visual Composer

i want to add a parameter called vc.bi.sqleditorenabled for Visual Composer

Pls tell me how can i do  it

    Hi Balaji
SQL and MDX Editor functionality is available in Visual Composer in the following ways:
    ● On the BI → SQL Editor and BI → MDX Editor menus.
    ● In the workspace, from the context menu of a relational or OLAP query from a data
service defined using one of the BI Java Connectors mentioned above.
    ● In the MDX Statement and SQL Statement fields on the input ports of corresponding
data services, which allow you to send query statements to the databases.
For security purposes, the SQL and MDX Editor functionality is turned off by default in Visual
Composer. Therefore, if you try to access it, the following message is displayed: You are not
    authorized to use this functionality.
To enable SQL and MDX Editor functionality, use the following parameters in the Visual
    Administrator:
    ● vc.bi.sqlEditorEnabled - SQL Editor and SQL Statement from input port are visible
    ● vc.bi.mdxEditorEnabled - MDX Editor and MDX Statement from input port are visible
Change document logging is not available with the SQL or MDX Editors; only
database logging (SQL Editor) or OLAP server logging (MDX Editor) is
    available.
    Warning:
Significant caution should be taken when using the SQL and MDX Editor
functionality, to avoid the potential for corrupting data and to prevent users from
viewing data that they are not authorized to see.
To prevent potential security risks, we urge the database administrator to restrict
user authorization on any data source defined on the portal using the BI JDBC
Connector, BI ODBO Connector, or BI XMLA Connector. We recommend that
you set the proper authorizations for your users on the database level, and that
you use dialog users (individual database user names) for user mapping on the
    portal.
Note that if you enable this functionality and save models that expose SQL and
MDX statement fields on the input ports of data services, these fields, and hence
the potential security risks, will persist in the models even if you later disable this
functionality. In addition, the fields persist in models that you export and import
into a Visual Composer system in which the functionality is disabled. We therefore
recommend you carefully consider security risks before enabling this functionality.
    Cheers,
    Shaym

  • Update master data in BW with Visual Composer

    Hi guys.
I have an attribute of an info object that I need to give the users access to update.
I would like to do it with visual composer.
I would like the user to see all rows in a table kind of view and the user will update only the rows that need to be changed and than he/she will click on a button that will update the master data table in BW.
I believe that I'll need to use a BAPI or a RFC for that? Does anyone know any good predefined ones for that?
    Thanks
    Shlomi

That's not really true. In VC you have access to all remote enabled functions. We have created specific functions to update attributes.
We are using it to allow our users to update their own master data instead of bugging the BI team.
Here is an example of our code.
Before I paste this in, you need to know a couple things.
    1. You can only update one record at a time (with my code)
    2. You have to pass back in the entire record, even if you are only changing one attribute of many.
    3. It automatically does the attribute change run, so you do not need to to it.
This is a simple infoobject with a few attributes.
First we created a Get function (which collects the data and shows it to the user.
Then we gave them a edit button on the table that goes to a pop up.
The user selects the record to change, then hits the edit button.
When the popup  comes up the data is shown in a form, with a save and cancel button, fields that you do not wish users to see or change, hide them, but they all most be present on the form.
The  when the user hits save, it send it to the below function. The name of the infoobject is ZCAT_SUB.
    FUNCTION zcat_update_subparty2.
    ""Local Interface:

  • Download Visual Composer cockpit

    Dear all,
I would like to provide my users with the possibility to download the Visual Composer cockpit that I have build. Is this possible and what should I do to accomplish this?
I know that in SEM when you build a Balanced Scorecard the user can select a period and download the scorecard with all data for that period to his own desktop.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ralph

    Hi Mario,
thanks for your answer, the guide tells me how to export data from tables to excell. I understand that it is not possible to export charts or download the whole flash application to an offline version.
What about charts? Can I add a button by which I can copy the chart to a clipboard such that I can use it in other applications, f.e. a powerpoint presentation?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ralph

  • How to import of Visual Composer@browser models into Visual Composer@NWDS?

    Hello,
some month ago, I started modeling a number of composite views with the browser version of the Visual Composer 7.1 SP 5. At this time, the corresonding NWDS did not provide an integrated Visual Composer.
Now, we have moved to the CE 7.1 EhP 1 SP 2. This time the NWDS provides an integrated Visual Composer. Unfortunately, the integrated Visual Composer does not display my models.
How can I import my Visual Composer models from the browser version to the NWDS version?
Thanks a lot and kind regards
    Alexander

    Hello Talia,
You can use Import/Export in order to move your models from Visual Composer@browser to Visual Composer@NWDS.
Although, I have been able to export my models from VC@browser, I have not succeeded in importing them into VC@NWDS. Can you please give me a hint how to do that?
But If you intend to add your models to DTR (Source Control repository) in the future, you should to add them to DTR in VC@browser first, import them in NWDS (using Development Infrastructure perspective) from the DTR, check out, continue modeling and check in at the end.
To this end, I have to configure the VC@browser to use the DTR, right? Can you please give me a hint how to perfom the required configuration?
    Thanks a lot

  • Calling Visual Composer iview into WDA view???

    Hello all,
Can we call a visual composer iview into WDA view? if YES, can someone let me know how to do that.

    Hi Govindu,
    Thanks for the links.
    1. We have created a new iView by the option Copy and Paste as Dela link in customer specific folder under PCD for the iView which is stored in standard PCD>Visual Composer>Models folder.
    2. We can transport the content with export and import options but as per the SAP recommendation we should also need to transport the Localisation and Par files for the Model. But we are unable to find these. Could you please share your knowledge-------How to generate Localisation and Par files for a VC Model and collect these into a Portal transport.
    Thanks again.

  • Visual composer open file-dialog

    Hi,
is possible to open an file dialog  in Visual composer to get the filenamepath as in R3 do the function ws_filename_get or like you and a file to customer message?.
    Thanks.

    Hi Pedro,
your question isn't clear for me. Do you want a file dialog for uploading data? Do you want a file dialog for storing your model to the local file system?
Uploading data is not possible with VC, therefore you have to use other technologies like the KM or an integrated Web Dynpro Application. Exporting the model to the local file system is possible via the menu bar.
    Best Regards,
    Marcel
PS: If you question isn't answered now, don't hesitate to ask again.
