Export iphone calendar?

I had to reimage my macbookpro and stupid, stupid me, did not back up my ical information. Now, I'm having problems sync'ing my calendar with my iphone (duh!). My question is, is there anyway to export, or suck down my iphone calendar into my blank ical on my laptop?? Please help!

When I reformated my HD in my MBP, I connected the phone to the laptop and canceled the sync. Selected only the phonebook and calendar and synced those, then put music on. It pulled my phonebook and calendar no problems. Good luck.

My Iphone calendar events are not showing up in iCal when I sync? Syncing has not been an issue till today?

I found this tip from a 2011 discussion on the same topic.
Open iCal and backup or export your entries. Make a note of the fie name and location, you're going to need them in a minute. Once your backup/export is completed, close the iCal application.
Open Finder and remove everything inside the "Username/Library/Calendars" folder. For instance, if your username is "Joe", then move everything inside the "Joe/Library/Calendars" folder.
Open the iSync application. It's located in the "/Applications/" folder. Once iSync is opened, go into the iSync Preferences (iSync -> Preferences) and push/click the "Reset Sync History" button. Then, close the iSync application.
Re-Open the iCal application and Import (File -> Import) a new calendar. When prompted, use your notes from Step #1 to select the file your created earlier. Once completed, close the iCal application (you should have all of your calendar entries back.)
Open the iTunes application and connect your Apple iPhone to the computer.
Within the Advanced section of the Info tab for the Apple iPhone, check the box the overwrites/replaces the Calendar data on the Apple iPhone.
Click the Apple/Sync button. New, modified and deleted entries should now be syncing correctly.
That's it! You should be all set and iTunes, iCal and our Apple iPhone should all be playing nicely as friends again. We've used the exact method to repair our own Apple iPhone at least once... maybe even twice.

  • ICloud storage issue; Restoring iPhone calendar from iMac after accidental iCloud deletion

I set up iCloud to back up calendars and contacts and for find my phone.  Initially, it seemed to work alright.  Then I got messages on iPhone that there wasn't enough iCloud storage, even though the storage tab showed that I had used none of my iCloud storage at all.  So I turned off iCloud/contacts.   In iTunes I switched back from iCloud backup to backup from my iMac.
Later I got the same message about not enough room in iCloud even though only calendars involved.  So I truned off iCloud/calendar on my iPhone and was given the choice of keeping the calendars from the iCloud or deleting them (a foolish choice without a failsafe!!!).  I clumsily and mistakenly hit delete.  My calendars have most recently been synced with my new iMac and appear on the iMac and should also be in TM.  But right now there is no data in my iPhone calendar.
When i go to calendars within the iiphone calendar there is a check next to Calender under "from MY Mac" and no reference to iCloud.  (There are no separate calendars for me, my wife, and joint.  Does this mean somehow these calendars have been merged because of iCloud?)
I don't want to do another sync until I can make sure that the sync with the iMac will resotre the calendar(s) to the iPnone.  How do I do this?
Do I have to do anything on the iMac before I try a sync?
How do I avoid these problems in the future?  The only thing I really would like from iCloud is "find my phone".  How do I keep that capability without backing up or su=yncing otherwise anything through iCloud?
    Is iCloud still Beta?

Apple walked me through this and helped me revert to backing up on my iMac, using iCloud only for find my iPhone and iMac.  The process, however, is not straightforward and what the respective mac and iPhone support people (yes, they have that kind of specialization) led me through was clearer, if somewhat convoluted, than any instructions on Apple's support or community pages.
Since my main concern was not losing my calendar and contacts information, the key was saving that, via export, to my desktop.  Sorry I didn't write down all the other steps - but I see that as Apple's job.  Back in the days of the IIC, Apple's manual was a model of clarity and completeness at the same time.
Bottom line is while my immediate concerns were resolved, the underlying iCloud storage issue was not.  On my iPhone, I was being told that my attempts to backup to the iCloud failed because I didn't have enough storage, even though I determined almost none of my alloted space was used.  This issue is not helped by the multiplicity of settings relating to iCloud, or the interfaces (such as the iCloud on the iMac through Mavericks) which present a screen of icons without additional information.
For my purposes, iCloud remains Beta.

  • IPhone calendar sync

I continue to have inconsistent success when syncing calendar entrys from my iPhone back to my Black MacBook. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Note this tends to be a problem if you have more than one calendar in your iCal -- this isn't unique to the iPhone -- it seems to be an iCal thing -- (or Entourage as well)...
If you have more than one Calendar, the sync function doesn't always recognize which calendar to put the event into, and just leaves it unresolved (or in some instances, which are worse, assumes that the calendar on your computer is the correct one and DELETES the event on your iPhone -- an even more dangerous occurance.)
If possible, combine all of your data on your iCal into one calendar instead of having HOME, WORK, ENTOURAGE,etc as mine used to have. By Default, iCal considers HOME the primary calendar. You combine calendars by exporting your calendar to the desktop, then re-importing it (it will ask what calendar to combine it with) then going back into iCal and deleting the original calendar you exported and reimported....I combined mine all back into one HOME calendar and haven't had a syncing problem since.
By the way, this was the same with my old Blackjack -- it's the sync services issue, not the iPhone issue going on here.

  • Syncing iPhone calendar with Outlook2010

I'm setting up my employer's new computer and attempting to sync her Outlook 2010 calendar with her original iPhone. She'll be getting iPhone 4 soon but really wants this to work for now. Is it possible? The option is currently unavailable. It says "No supported calendar application can be found."
She's running Windows 7 64 bit, iTunes 10 64 bit and has an original iPhone with software version 3.13 (I think).

Though, to get you started, as is shown in step 1, you do need to export your calendars into google calendar....
    Not true! According to http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=151674
By default only your primary calendar will be synced to your device. You can sync additional calendars by visiting the following page from any web browser:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect
(Google Apps users can go to https://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/your_domain/iphoneselect, replacing 'your_domain' with your actual domain name.)
Select the calendars you'd like to sync, and click Save. The selected calendars will display on your device at the time of the next sync.
I'm very happy to have found this thread (started on my birthday!) which has helped me use google calendar to sync the iCal calendar on my Cube running OS 10.4 to the iCal calendar on my iPhone 4. I'm now able to sync the iPhone to the Cube directly, but now it doesn't matter!
In order to sync the iCal calendar on my Cube with my google calendar I'm using BusySync.

  • Calendar Items Show on iPhone Calendar Then Disappear - Reappear

We have deployed about 25 iPhones in our enterprise. All are running v2.1 and are 3G. One user (on same Exchange server as the rest) cannot see his appointments on his calendar. Upon further review, they are there! BUT, if you look at the month, week or day view they show, then 3-4 seconds later disappear. Then 3-4 seconds later re-appear!! In a loop over and over. We have gone through 3 different iPhones now it happens the same each time.

    Hello everyone,
I seem to found a solution! I was having this same issue yesterday... events appearing, then vanishing just as quickly. I suspected it is a sync issue with an event on the exchange server. This is what work for me:
    - Exported my calendar from Entourage/Outlook (or make sure you have a recent backup).
    - Deleted all events (so there is now no events on the exchange server).
    - Double check there are no stray events remaining on the server.
    - Open calender on iPhone so it looks to the server.
(All events should now be purged)
    - Now import your backup/exported calendar back into Entourage/Outlook
    - Make sure all events now appear on the server again.
    - In iPhone calendar settings turn Exchange off then on again. (I also restarted iPhone, home button and power button.)
    - Finally open iPhone calendar so fetches Exchange events (this will take a while as it's starting afresh).
Everything is behaving itself now. As I said above I suspect it was getting confused with an old or stray event on the Exchange server that wasn't visible in my Entourage.
Good luck! Do let me know if it works for you all. Dan.

  • How to sync an iPhone calendar to an iPad?

I've got an iPhone with a calendar full of events. Don't need a desktop calendar since the iPhone is always with me and does a great job.
Got an iPad and can't get the calendar on the iPhone to sync with iPad anyway.

For me the ideal solution I'm in search of bypasses the requirement of centralizing my calendar on some desktop PC app, or Google Calendars, or Mobile Me (although I would pick Google Calendars if I had to choose since I already use Gmail).
I just want to have the "bulit-in" iOS calendar app data sync between my iPhone and iPad (without paying for MobileMe). This really should be a no-brainer with iTunes being the hub but I am stuck.
Even if I did make a move to centralize around say Google Calendars to act as the sync hub, how would I export my iPhone calendar data to import to Google Calendars? What would be the steps?
Regarding the restore question: iTunes does a backup with every daily iPhone sync I do. I had to restore the iPhone in 2009 but was able to restore from a backup file so I didn't loose any calendar data or any data for that matter (eg, Notes, SMS messages, etc.)

  • Does syncing your iphone iOS calendar with Google calendar overwrite what's currently in your iPhone calendar?

I have been syncing my iphone calendar over icloud.  I want to sync it with my google calendar now, as well (my google calendar is currently blank and has no entries).  If I set this up, will my iphone calendar get overwritten by my google calendar, ultimately erasing everything?  The instructions I'd  be using to sync my iphone calendar to my Google calendar are at the link below:

  • IPhone Calendar Changes not Syncing with ICal

Additions and changes to my iPhone calendar are not synced with ICal on my Mac. Syncing the other direction (adding or changing appointments on my Mac) works, but nothing I change or add on my iPhone appears on my Mac (the same seems to be true of contacts and notes). I have the same problem with an iPod touch.
Has anyone else experienced (and fixed) a similar problem? As it ism the iPhone-Mac sync only works in one direction!

I had the same problem, and then all my calendars stopped syncing either way. They picked a beautiful time to do it, too... right as I was leaving on a business/pleasure vacation where I was making on the fly appointments. grumble
However, I fixed it tonight. Here is what I did.
    1. Back up (export) all your iCal calendars. (not just good practice, you'll need them later) Make sure iCal is closed.
    2. under ~/Library/Application Support/iCal delete everything.
    3. under ~/Library/Calendars delete everything
    4. Sync your phone.
At this point you should have your phone overwriting everything in iCal. If your problem is ONLY syncing from phone to iCal you should be good to go, if you can't sync either way, you'll need to:
    5. Drag all your backed up calendars back to iCal. In theory they will sort themselves out, but you might have some duplicates between stuff you've created on your phone and in iCal.
I don't know if this will keep the problem from occurring again, but at the very least, I was able to test out my ability to create events on either side, and it works.
I kept hoping that the last iPhone update would solve this for me, alas!

  • My iPhone calendar stopped syncing with my Outlook calendar

I've tried resetting sync history, checking the calendar box for "replace information on this iPhone", deleting and reinstalling mail account, rebooting both the iPhone and PC. Help??

My iPhone 3G and Outlook sucessfully synched everything (contacts, calendar, mail accounts, bookmarks, notes) until V 3.0 of the phone software. Then calendar would not synch no matter what. After a couple of hours on the phone with an Apple rep we discovered that when a new user account was set-up in Windows (XP SP 3), and a new instance of Outlook (Office 2003) was opened in that account the Calendar in the new account would sync. However, when the calendar from the old account was imported into the new account (via .pst export / import), it still wouldn't sync. At that point the Apple rep had no more help to offer. After much offline troubleshooting on my own I found a solution that at least worked for me by the following steps:
    1) create a new mail account through: Control Panel | Category View | User Accounts | Mail (Add a new account, don't copy the old one)
    2) don't know whether this step is necessary, but since the "old" .pst file was 1997-02, I exported / imported it into a 2003 Personal Folders .pst file, and then replaced the .pst file on the "new" mail account with the "updated" .pst file from the "old" mail account.
    3) opened the new mail account and exported all Calendar appointments into an Excel file
    4) in Calendar view of Outlook selected: View | Arrange By | Current View | By Category, then did an Edit | Select All and deleted all appointments.
    5) then using File | Import / Export, imported the Excel file of appointments into Calendar,
    6) open iTunes, select Preferences | Devices and Reset Synch History
    7) under Info select only the Calendar Sync option and the option to replace the Calendar information on the phone with the new Calendar.
The calendar now properly updates (several regualr updates have since been tried). One small annoyance (but preferable to not syncing) the recurring aspect of any appointment (not the appointment itself) is lost, along with any color formatting, but those are easily fixed up afterward.

  • Iphone and Ical on mac do not sync anymore. All my events are in the iphone calendar! How do I backup iphone calendar, and how do I fix the syncronizing problem?

After getting iCloud the iCal on my mac does not sync with my iPhone calendar. All of my calendar notes are in my iPhone (while the mac's Ical remains empty) so I need to backup the iphone version. How?
Itunes says that "your calendars are being syncronized with iphone using icloud" - but the mac's ical does not show any of the new events I have added on my iphone.
I would like to install the new update on my iphone, but I am afraid to do it without knowing that I will be able to restore my iphone calendar. I have made calendar events for many years to come, I and will not risk losing them!
I have been looking for tips online, but the solutions usually suggest that I backup the ical on the mac and start fresh using this version. In other words overwrite iphone calendar with the ical from the mac. Which is not an option. What can I do?

Moments in Photos are the new Events, i.e. groupings of photos sorted by date taken.
When the iPhoto Library was first migrated to Photos there was a folder created in the sidebar titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events (which are now Moments) are represented by an album in that folder. To open the sidebar if it's not already open use the Option+Command+S key combination.
There's a way to simulate events in Photos.
When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N.  Name it as desired.  It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder
When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window.
The downside to the simulation is that the Albums/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title. But they can also be sorted manually, either in the sidebar or in the folder's window at the right.
Ask Apple for more sorting options in Photos via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html.

  • How can i get my ipad and iphone calendars to sync?

my ipad and iphone calendars used to sync fine but recently they stopped syncing.  i haven't changed a thing so i don't even know how to begin fixing the problem.
everything gets backed up into icloud and connecting the ipad and iphone to my laptop for sycing hasn't resolved the issue.
my default email is a gmail account (calendar), which has been from the beginning;  however, i have an icloud account on both devices, and i use the same apple id on all devices and itunes.  in the past anything i would input into my gmail calendar on any computer would sync with my ipad and iphone, but no longer!! what happened?????  right now all calendars are independent of one another; anything i input into my gmail calendar doesn't show on my ipad or iphone calendar or vice versa.
i have checked my ipad and iphone section by section to ensure everything is the same, and it is.
i am sooo frustrated right now   somebody please help me to resolve this problem.

The first step in troubleshooting this is to determine which of your devices are not syncing with iCloud.  To do this, add a new event on your iPad calendar and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com.  Do the same thing on your iPhone and in Outlook.  When you do this, which device is not syncing new events to the calendar on icloud.com?

  • How can I get  the iPhone Calendar to update reminders from Outlook?

I have an iPhone 2g v2.0.2 with an Exchange account through work. Everything works flawlessly except one annoying problem: The iPhone calendar does not seem to recognize that I have dismissed or changed a reminder time in Outlook.
Example: A reminder alert appears on my computer (Windows XP/Outlook 2007/Kerio mail server). I will "Dismiss" the alert only to have it pop up again 10 seconds later presumably because my iPhone didn't get the dismissed reminder message, then syncs back to Outlook that the reminder is still active. I have even opened the item in Outlook, changed or canceled the reminder, saved the item, only to have it pop up again seconds later after the iphone reverts to the original reminder.
The only way I have found to stop this cycle is to open the item on the iPhone calendar and cancel the reminder.
Any ideas on how to solve this would be appreciated.
    thanks

Just so that you know you're not alone, I have a couple clients experiencing the same problem. Have yet to come up with a solution outside of what you've mentioned. Wish I had more to add to the topic.

  • How do I get my iPhone calendar events to show up on my Google calendar?

I have an iPhone 4s. When I add a calendar event on my Google calendar it shows up fine on my iPhone calendar. I can delete that event on my iPhone calendar and it deletes it on my Google calendar so I know there's a "link." BUT, when I add an item on my iPhone calendar it doesn't show up on my Google calendar. I've tried waiting 15 minutes (the refresh time for Fetch) , and refreshing the calendar page but no luck.
    Help?
    DWM

That response would work save one detail: This is my work phone so I get meetings and such added via corporate email, etc. Those go by default to my iPhone calendar so I was hoping there was a way to just sync everything that ends up on my iPhone calendar to my Google calendar.
    Thanks for the reply.
