Export just video

I made a movie but it's a very huge file. I just need the video and play it in powerpoint. Is it possible to separate the audio from the movie, and just export the video with no sounds?
Thank you

  • When i crop a video using FCE, how can i export just the selection?

When using the cropping tool with FCE 4, say i just crop out a single square from near the top of the video. if i were to export this video now, the new video would consist of the cropped out selection surrounded by black. is there anyway i can export the cropped out selection without the black? i'm not looking to rescale the image, just to remove the selection at it's original size without all the black around it.

FCE's a fixed-resolution editor and there's no way to export at the resolution of your cropped image unless it matches one of the sequence presets.  In FCP you could set a custom resolution and export as that.

    David,
Besides the Share to Disc limitation of using the WAB, there are a few other Export options where it will not be available, but for most options it is. Here is a look at the WAB (Work Area Bar), and how it is set:
Hope that this helps and good luck,
    Hunt
PS - if you want to Burn to Disc, only a portion of the Timeline, you can do that, though not as directly, as the above WAB limiting. You would first Open your Project, and then do a Save_As, renaming to something like Project Name_Short (very important), and then Delete the elements that you do not want. When done, do a Save of this edited Project, and then Burn to Disc from it. As you did a Save_As first, you still have your original Project un-edited and safe. That is why the Save_As step is so very important.

  • I am trying to export a video I have made in FCP 10.0.8 to Youtube or to a master file and I keep on getting an error -50, or "error exporting master file at frame 20074" Any ideas?

Having used FCExpress for a while I decided to give FC Pro X a trial, I created my first video with it, exported to youtube and it worked fine.  I am now trying to export my second video to youtube and I get an error -50 which means absolutely nothing.  Not being defeated that easy I tried exporting to a mster file using the H.264 codec and I get an error "exporting master file at frame 20074" - again another useless error.  It takes at least 10 minutes to get to this error after the rendering has started, it gets about 12% in.  Any ideas where to start - I am seriously at the point of giving up with Final Cut Pro X simply on the basis of it being more trouble than its worth - I am just glad I did not pay for it yet...
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Gerry

    Hi Russ,
Thanks for your response. I am not an experienced user of FC or other video editing software but if its that hit and miss I think I will go to the trouble of finding some better software - I have a busy enough life as is, I don;t want to get into second guessing what a software problem might be!
I have just successfully exported my video to a master file using one of the Apple codec options so it looks like it could be to do with the H.264 codec.  I am wondering if Apples Compressor software would solve this problem - the only way to try this it to buy it, there is not trial for the compressor app.  Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • Help with exporting Minecraft video

Hello. My name is Reynir Aron. I make Minecraft videos and I recently switched from Final Cut Pro 7 to Premiere Pro CS6 and I love using Premiere.
However there is one little problem, when I export the video (even if I do it through Media Encoder) the video looks very smoothed out (for example the text looks really crappy and isn't pixellated).
Can anybody help me? The video is not being scaled up, the source video, my sequence and the export settings are all 1280x720.
By the way, is there any plugin or anything that lets me export using QuickTime Pro 7?
Here is a screenshot of the output I get:
This also happens if I check "Use Maximum Render Quality".
This is what I see in Premiere's Program window:
    I have an iMac8,1 (Early 2008) with a 2,8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, an ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB and I'm running OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

I think my daughter is using FRAPS, but of course not transcoding, just putting that right into Premiere. If your captured file is 30fps, what is the transcoded ProRes file? I don't know if ProRes supports non-video settings, so maybe that is converted to 29.97? But then the edit sequence is 30fps, and I do see an issue - FIELDS is set to LOWER, but should be PROGRESSIVE. That could be causing the jaggies issue on your output.
How did you create the editing Sequence? Try creating a NEW SEQUENCE with the same settings, except make it Progressive, then copy/paste contents of interlaced sequence into the progressive sequence and then Export again, see if that helps. Or just do a short sample to check, to save time.
    Thanks
    Jeff

  • How to export a video at a moderate certain format and size in premiere CC 2014: No Huge File Results!

I have the latest version of Adobe Premiere, CC 2014 but whenever I want to render and export a video that is typically 70 megabytes in size I can't seem to always see how big the file will end up being for all the formats and I don't want to end up with a video larger than 250 to 300 megabytes in size just for the extremely best or highest quality even though I want the video to be well polished and in better quality than I usually get thee, These videos are usually imported as mp4. What file version of mp4 or otherwise would give me an originally imported video of 70 megabytes an output of no more than or around 300 megabytes or even less without compromsing video quality? I don't want a huge file size as I am uploading it to my YouTube channel via their web interface on another person's machine and they don't have Premiere and only has a DSL connection. So what video output settings should I use for a good quality video that isn't smaller than the original but the same size or a bit higher and not extremely large like MOVs and sometimes mp4s usually are depending on what you do to it and it is outputted.?

    Export
    Format: H.264
Preset: YouTube (make sure this matches the dimensions of your sequence)
You could further adjust the Target Bitrate but the preset is already setup for a good quality file for upload.
You can also do further reading on Video Bitrates.

  • Why should it take over an hour to export a video that is less than 2 minutes long?

The short clip I have is only 1;51 long, but Media Encoder has been slaving away at it for over 20 minutes and still says over an hour remaining. The only thing I am doing differently with this clip is I have sped up the action x10 to give it a "Keystone Kops" effect. (The duration of the raw video totals about 17 minutes.)  I've also added about three titles and an MP3 sound file. Tried to export first to F4V, then gave up and am now trying export to plain AVI, but it is taking forever!
Dell T3400 dual core 3.2 gHz. Two 1T hard drives in a RAID stripe 0 configuration. 4g ram. Running Windows 7 Release Candidate (which I LOVE!).
The clips are from my JVC Everio GZ-HM200BU HD camera set at lowest picture quality (for longer recording).
    Any ideas?

    OK, well... where to start...
First, as to Windows 7, I appreciate your admonishment, but I have had no problems yet that I attribute to the OS. The main reason I switched to W7 is not for bonus points, but because Explorer will natively show thumbnails of the AVCHD files from my cameras. Vista would not do that. I am sure you'd agree that this is an important and very helpful feature. No other add-in program for Vista have I found would do that for me. It may be out there, but we haven't crossed paths yet.
Secondly, I have had no other problem encoding video before this particular one. Most of the videos I produce are for our company website (http://www.topographic.com) to be viewed as a FLV or F4V file, and there have been no problems with that. I did create a video that was over 1-1/2 hours long that was written to DVD, but that took, without surprise, over 4 hours to complete, including the transcoding and DVD writing in Encore. (This one that was giving me problems is only 1-1/2 minutes in length, and is not being written to a DVD.)
This particular video I tried first in F4V, but when it seemed to be drawing out so long, I canceled and restarted it as an AVI. And that one went on for well over an hour before it finished. The main thing that is different from this video, as I explained in my original post, is that the raw video was 17 minutes long, sped up by PPro x10 for fast action (you can see it here: http://www.topographic.com/video/booth_setup.html - I am the guy in the dark blue shirt).
As a comparison, I exported another video that is not yet completed, just as a test. That video is 44 seconds long and it took only 5 minutes to encode. All things being equal, this video would have taken at least 30 minutes to encode if conditions were the same as the video I was having trouble with.  I have to believe that the problem would be the compressed timeline for speeding up the action.
As further comparison, I created a test video with the raw clips for the troublesome video and exported it to an AVI file. It was a 17-minute video which took 31 minutes to encode. This seems to be consistent with my previous test.
In all other aspects I have had no serious problems with my videos and PPro CS4. A few little niggling problems here and there, but mostly due to my inexperience with the system (as my previous postings seem to adequately bear out).
As for my being an engineer: make that former engineer. I am now an IT and communications guy. But you can see what kind of stuff I designed by looking here: http://www.geocities.com/wanorman2000/gallery.htm.
    Thanks for all your help!

  • Exporting a video that is 3 minutes and it keeps saying that it is 43 minutes

This seems like a strange problem. I have been duking it out with the frequently asked questions forums and nothing seems to address this problem.
Just to give you an idea of what I have going on.
I am using a mac book pro with OS X version 10.6.8 I have 2.4 Ghz intel core 2 duo and 4 GB 1067 MHZ DDR3
I have edited some video together of an interview. The original clip was about 20 minutes and I have cut it down to around 3 minutes 37 seconds. I made sure to go through and delete any scraps that would have been hanging out at the end of the time line. I have also tried putting timeline markers in at the beginning and end of the project. I have also pulled the grey start and finish bars to just the right places. at 00:00:00 and 03:37:14.
I have tried exporting other videos and everything worked just fine. But for some reason it keeps saying that this video is 43 minutes long and it adds 40 minutes of black to the end of it as well as making the file size really big. I am sending this video to a potential client and I need to keep it under 2 G.  I can't send it with 40 minutes of black on the end.
    I am using these settings
    presets NTSC DV 16:9
    file type Quick Time
    frame size 720x480
    frame rate 29.97
audio settings 48000 Hz stereo 16 bit
    Duration 43 minutes 16 seconds.
The worst and best thing is about this. I figured it out at the end of typing all of this
So if anybody has this problem
You have to check the box the says work space only

For the crashes, Reed, I would create a new Discussion/Thread, list your full computer specs., and then your Project specs. with complete detail of your Assets. This article will give you tips on the info that would be so useful: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4515849#4515849
Most users do not experience crashes, though too many do. The normal causes, and in this order are:
    System
    Assets
    Project settings
Also, be sure to list any error messages, that you receive with the crashes and hangs. This article goes into more detail, but it is more oriented to PC's, so only some will apply to a Mac: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/792580?tstart=0
Good luck, and hope that we can help with that "rogue" Orphan here, and then the crashing in your new thread.

  • Adobe Media Encoder: Audio won't export with video

I am trying to convert an AVCHD video for viewing on my iPad 3. I use Adobe Media Encoder and select the iPad 2 settings (1920x1080) and it exports the video perfect, but no audio. I have "Export Audio" checked off. I tried it with 5 other settings and it just wont include the audio. Any ideas?

Seems random people are running in to this, so hopefully this solution will be found by whomever's looking.
If you're exporting video files from Final Cut Pro as .mov, and then trying to convert said .mov to an .mp4 using Adobe Media Encoder and are losing audio even though you're multiplexing, try this...
Make sure that you export only a 2-channel audio track from FCP.   When I export from FCP, I split my audio into various tracks by default.  Great for making master clips, but problematic if uploading to YouTube or doing further encoding in Adobe Media Encoder.   Like YouTube, if you have more than 2 tracks of audio, Media Encoder seems to get confused and ignores all audio tracks.  Combine all audio into a 2-channel stereo track and see if that solves the problem.
Regardless of editing program, see if reducing number of audio channels from source clip solves problem.

  • Exporting HD video from FCE to iDVD

I'm finishing my first project with Final Cut Express and want to be sure I'm exporting my video correctly for iDVD.
I imported my NTSC 1080i video to FCE using the Apple Intermediate Codec 60-frame interlaced setting. Edited the video and it looks good.
I've rendered the video and mixed down the audio. I then exported a QuickTime reference .mov file and added that to my iDVD project.
When I look at the preview of the movie in iDVD I'm seeing a lot of interlacing lines. Ouch! Will this burn OK or am I in trouble? When I watch the reference movie on my computer it looks fine with no interlacing problem. I'll be making a test burn this evening but the suspense is killing me!
Every reference I've found says to do this just as I've done. Did I miss a step? Is there something else I should do for HD material? Should I use QuickTime Conversion in FCE to make a standard def 16x9 movie and use that for iDVD?
I've made lots of DVDs from HD material in iMovie and never had a problem.
    Thanks for your help!

Not sure about what settings to use, but wanted to remind you that iDVD has a Save As Disc Image option which creates a virtual DVD on your desktop. You can mount and play this on your Mac just like an actual DVD (using DVD Player). So it's a cheap and precise way of previewing your video in standard DVD format.
You'd Copy the disc image to actual media using Roxio Toast or Apple's Disk Utility. The only differences between the two videos would be the result of viewing on a different monitor/TV, or errors introduced during the copy/burn process (typically bad disks or bad quality disks).

  • Can't Export Any Videos From Final Cut Pro X?

    Hello all-
I just downloaded FInal Cut Pro X today, and as I tried exporting my first video to YouTube, I found I had no luck. I am able to select the option to export to YouTube, enter in my account details, edit the video preferences, but when I click submit nothing happens. The little export box just disappears. This happens for every single one of my share options.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I'm a little peeved that I just spent 300 dollars on a software that doesn't even let me export the video.
    Thanks much,
    Megan

  • Exporting HD Video From Final Cut Express HD

When attempting to export HD video from Final Cut Express using "uncompressed" setting, I notice that the output quality seems to be limited to "medium." If no compression is used, wouldn't that imply that the video quality should equal original footage?

All FCE Timelines are using the AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) for HD stuff if you selected the correct Easy Setup before you started your Project.
If you export as a Quicktime Movie then you are getting exactly the same export quality as the Timeline.
The Quicktime Movie can be either Self-Contained or a Reference file. Reference Files are great because they use/reference you exisating captured files on your Scratch Disc, use less space and export fast.
However if you need to play the export somewhere other than your Mac your will require the file to be Self-Contained.
QuickTime Conversion does just that, Converts to whatever you select.

Dilip: We do not have Support for Trial version, Support for Trial is only available in Support Portal.
Tesselator Tess: I'm not asking for support for the trial version at this point. I am asking for a department name.
Dilip: I am sorry, there is no Team that supports for Trial.
Tesselator Tess: How about for the purchased product?
Dilip: The Support for the Issue is available with our Photoshop Team but they can only help you with a valid Photoshop Serial Number.
Tesselator Tess: Is there a list of known issues on-line somewhere?
Tesselator Tess: there isn't at the two URLs you already provided BTW.
Dilip: I am sorry we do not have more information on that.
Tesselator Tess: OK, thanks. Do you realize that in the time it took to tell me "Sorry Charlie” 5 times you could have told me of a fix or looked in your DB for related issues?
    Tesselator Tess:
Dilip: I am sorry for the inconvenience.
    Tesselator Tess: Me too.
Dilip: Do you have any other questions for me?
Tesselator Tess: No, just those two.
Dilip: Thank you for contacting Adobe. Good Bye.
    This chat session has ended.

Is the trial version of Photoshop CC a function-limited (cripled) eddition or is it the full-featured version same as the purchased product? I had always thought they were the full versions but I thought I might check to make sure.

Got the phone direct from the Apple website, so I assume it was unlocked, and it had been on giffgaff ever since but I don't see why that's a problem?
The carrier was automatically selected as Free and is up to date.
There seemed to be no problem that the SIM was being used in an iPhone 4 and my friends in exactly the same situation (e.g. arriving in France and moving over to the Free network with iPhone 4's) have had zero problems with their 3G network; it just seems to be me.
