Export keynote slides as high quality jpeg

The tool for exporting keynote slides as jpegs at the highest quality setting results in very low quality jpegs (less than 100 k).  How can I increase the quality?

I just figured it out.  Go to the inspector and select the document inspector (first icon on the left).  Look down near the bottom of that little window for "Slide Size"  and select a bigger slide size to meet the requirements of quality desired.  When i increased my slide size to 1680 x 1050, the export tool produced good quality jpegs (600+ K) from each slide, when I selected the highest quality.   A little hint about this in the slide export dialogue box might be helpful in some future version of Keynote.

  • How can you save keynote slides as high resolution (300 dpi) images?

Apparently there is a way to save powerpoint slides as 300 dpi images, with some finagling, but not the mac version.  Does anyone know how to do this in keynote?  Or is there a relativley easy way to do it with free/cheap software?  I can increase the dpi in photoshop, but it doesn't produce crisp images for obvious reasons.

how can you save keynote slides as high resolution (300 dpi)
to save individual images from each slide in Keynote;     file > export > images > TIFF (for optimum quality)
You are using the wrong terminology to describe creating an image file
    - dpi ( meaning dots per inch )  is the measurement used in printing to create the number of print dots per inch that will be deposited on to physical media like paper or film   This is done in the printer settings box of the print driver and is dependant on how the individual printer can print..
    ppi ( meaning pixels per inch ) is the measurement you need to use when creating the number of pixels in a digital image file. You establish image resolution in Keynote using the inspector;
Keynote > inspector > document > slide size
I can increase the dpi in photoshop, but it doesn't produce crisp images for obvious reasons.
You can resample images in editing applications such as Photoshop or Painter but what you are doing is adding non image information to the image to increase pixel count, this is called noise. As you state this is not the procedure to use in your situation.

  • Best settings to convert RAW into high quality JPEG

I am a little bit lost when reading discussions regarding the best way to have photos accepted by Istockphoto. They are extremely demanding about the quality of the pictures and they accept zero artifacts for example.
I read that any corrections made of a RAW picture in Lightroom 4 must be very minimal (almost no correction for saturation, vibrace, exposure,  and sharpening, noise etc.).
In this case it would mean that Lightroom is of no use and whay not use directly Photoshop CS6 to convert the RAW photo into a high quality JPEG.
If this is true, can someone tell me what are the best settings in CS6 to convert a RAW photo into a JPEG format ?

A raw picture is just that.  You have to edit it in Adobe Camera Raw to get the picuture to shine.  So their statement that edits must be minimal is confusing.  Do they just want a jpeg as shot?  You can set most cameras to take raw + jpeg.
Also, high quality means a certain minimium of height and width in pixels.  What do they want?

  • Can't Export Keynote slide show file to iDVD?

I am having difficulty exporting a 12mb Keynote slide show file to iDVD. When I go to export, a warning stating that 'There is not enough disc space or a problem with the file' appears. I have enough disc space and I don't think that I am corrupting the file in any way. I've also tried a 'dummy' version with only two slides in the show, still get same message. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    intel 20"   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I don't have a solution, but I'm having the same problem. I just installed iWork 06 and iLife 06. I have tried this on 2 machines one running 10.4.6 and the other running 10.3.9. And both give the same error. I called Tech support and first talked to the iWork department. The tech actually was having the same problem when he tried. He did research and talked to a product specialist to no avail. Then he transferred me to the product specialist, who was also having the problem and said they would escalate the issue to the engineers to see if its something they know about already or need to look at. I'm curious if anyone has actually been able to use this feature and when people started having problems. Because before installing iWork, there was a recent security update that I had installed on both these machines, and I wonder if that may have caused anything.
As far as preferences, there are two folders named Library one directly on your hard drive and one in your home folder. Both have a folder called Preferences, in Library/Preferences there's a file called com.apple.Keynote.plist and in home/library/preferences there's a file com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist These are the preference files for Keynote. On rare occassions preference files can become currupt causing errors in the application. If you delete the file the application just creates a new fresh one the next time you launch, but settings go back to default. But this sometimes fixes problems. However I have a feeling this may not work for this problem.

  • Exported videos not in high quality (Premiere Pro 2.0)

Hi, I'd like to ask for help. When i go to export a video in Premiere Pro 2.0 I get 2 options. Export with File>Export>Movie or File>Export>Adobe Media Encoder.
I have tested out a bunch of export settings and none of the settings (that I've tried) do make my video export in high quality.
Some settings make the video export in blurred low quality, some settings export the video in a way which my media players (VLC & Windows media player) have diffuculty playing back (slow/lagging, kind of like when a video editor has laggy preview) and some settings make the output video have weird lines on them & low quality.
    So I want to ask:
    1. Wich Project settings to I use for example a 720p video? (when i click "new project" I get a list of choiced and i think that the settings under "Adobe HDV" are the best (just like a friend of mine recommended) (http://s1162.photobucket.com/user/Doctorwhofan2012/media/NewProjectChoiceofSettings.png.ht ml)).
    2. Wich method do I use when I want to export my video?
    File>Export>Movie or File>Export>Adobe Media Encoder? (http://s1162.photobucket.com/user/Doctorwhofan2012/media/SeveralwaysofexportingtheVideo.pn g.html)
If i choose "Export>Movie" wich settings do I have to apply? (http://s1162.photobucket.com/user/Doctorwhofan2012/media/Export-Movie.png.html)

  • Missing image when export to pdf & in High Quality Display

Customer sent me this file so I have no history. Latest version of InDesign. There are a few images that when I select the box it does not show it as linked, but there is an image there. These same images/boxes disappear when I select View>High Quality Display & they are also missing when I make a pdf. Many other images are linked and work fine. What's going on with these other images/boxes? Embedded maybe? I don't have experience with embedded images, how do I get them to show when making a pdf?

  • How to export Keynote slides to a Word document?

    Hi
I need to be able to export my Keynote presentation (saved as ppt) to a Word document (i.e. I will save Pages as .doc) I wondered if this is possible and if so how to go about doing so.
I have just changed from a Microsoft-based laptop to the MacBook and know how to do this on the former but not a clue on the Apple.
All help will be much appreciated.

You can drag a slide directly from the Navigator sidebar in Keynote to a Pages document, and have the slide appear on the page. You can also export slides as images, or you can export as a PDF, and drag each slide separately into the document (open in Preview, and drag the thumbnail from the sidebar).
I would caution, however, about presenting an exported presentation without looking at it in PowerPoint first.

  • Export Keynote slides

Does anyone know how to export a specific slide or all slides as an image (png, jpg)? I would rather not have to write a script that uses the GUI to export the images, I want to do it be able to do it by interfacing with keynote directly and not having any windows in the program pop open. Is there any way to do this with Applescript or any other way to automate this programatically?
    Thanks

dragging slides from Keynote to iPhoto does not work for me, iPhoto won't accept them and does not recognise the format.

  • Workflow/Format for Hi-Def Stopmotion Video Using High Quality JPEGS

Any input is greatly appreciated. Heres what I'm trying to do:
    I have about 2200 JPEG's that I took for a claymation video.
    Specs
    -resolution/dimensions - 2816x1880 pixels
    -72ppi
    -sRGB color space
    -BitDepth: 8
I need to put them together in FCP. *+What format should I use to get the highest quality possible?+*
-I am pretty sure 1080p. But do I use prores? HDV? Is there a way to export a QT .mov at 2816x1880?
    - Does it make a difference if use 30fps, 29.97fps, 24fps, etc.? Drop-Frame, non-Drop frame?
    - How would I edit them "offline" because I tried editing them with my sequence set at HDV 1080p and render times were ridiculous.
    - Is there a way to edit without compressing? Does FCP only compress at export?
I am having trouble understanding formats in FCP there are so many places to set format. I just want to have FCP see my jpegs and edit them as jpegs, but I have to worry about what the project is set at, what the sequence is set at, what to export it as, etc.
I know these are lots of questions but if you have any input or can direct me to anywhere on how to get the highest quality/no compression/etc. I would greatly appreciate it.

Definitely do not use HDV. The render times will be ridiculous and you'll lose quality. Editing at 2816x1880 is not really an option, so you have to think about what your final format is. Your current images are 4:3 square pixel images. Do you want to keep it 4:3? If so, then working in HD might not be necessary. You could save yourself a lot of time by batch processing copies of your images (in Photoshop or similar) and resampling them to a much smaller size. A large part of the rendering work FCP has to do is shrinking your images down to the sequence size. If you do want to work in HD, keep in mind you'll have to do it in 16:9 widescreen, so the composition of your photos will change. No matter what format you end up working in, ProRes or ProRes (HQ) is generally the best bet for your "compressor" in the sequence settings. For frame rate, I'd go for 23.98. The big question though, is how you plan to exhibit your work. Is it on the web, on DVD, on TV, in theaters?

  • How to save large + high quality JPEG / PNG for website?

I use Photoshop CS3 to resize and reduce JPEG / PNG images via the "save for web". What is the standard image size in terms of KB for website?
Now, let's say the original image taken from a Nikon D3200 Camera has a standard size of 6016 px X 4000 px and the image quality is PERFECT at 6.5 MB file size.
How can I use Photoshop CS3 to save and maintain the standard size 6016 px X 4000 px, the same image quality but the file size is reduced to maybe 100kb?
    Many thanks & regards
    FSM

    Dear Silkrooster,
I totally agree with you but may I ask what is 3MP? Is it Megapixels or Megabytes? If Megabytes, don't you think 3MB will slow down the loading time of the website?
I want crispy clear images like many websites do. But I am really not sure how other websites do it. Lets refer to Apple website. It has many good quality images and the loading speed is very fast because each images weight around 40KB.
Ok. For my website, I am forced to reduce the size to 600 px X 300 px or 500 px X 350 px. To get around 40KB each i have to use the lowest quality for JPEG which is 10. The end result is TERRIBLE.
My website is also slower to load compare to others. So the question is, what is the optimum setting for resizing for photoshop to be use for web purposes?
    My main website: 风水
Initially I inserted a background image with the size 1920 px X 4000 px (because scrolling). Loading time is bad. Then I cut half and inserted only for top background image with the size 1920 x 700 px but this image is still the last to load. How can I make it even smaller in size but maintain good and sharp quality?
    Another page: 八字因果
At the first image, once I resized it and set a lower quality, the text "fengshuimaster8u.com" turns blurry.
The issue, is Photoshop capable of resizing images to good quality with a smaller size or do I need to use another program?
    Sorry for the long post.
    Thanks a lot

  • How to export a complex Keynote to high quality video for DVD?

I have had dozens of attempts to turn a complex Keynote into a high quality video.
Either they turn out disappointiingly way low res
or they are very choppy with half the transitions gone
or they Cannot make the video at all
    HELP.
I need to turn this project in to my client today.

If you use the DVD export in Keynote 3 with a self playing movie, the quality will be fine...just don't trust what you see on your mac screen, play it on a DVD player to check the quality. I did a test a while back and it was only the pauses that looked bad.
    Read about it here:
    http://www.keynoteuser.com/news/?p=135
pay close attention to what I complain about...it's just the slide pauses, not the normal motion playback, which means selfplaying stuff looks pretty decent (though never as good as the original, but that's the fault of the DVD format, not Apple).

  • FCE export settings for higher quality video

Hello. I'm a self-schooled newspaper video features producer and relative newcomer to Final Cut Express, shifting from Premium Elements. I've just begun using it to upload videos to my newspaper's finicky web system, which will only accept .flv files of a certain size. My modus operandi has been to export my videos as large .avi files, using Quicktime conversion and DV/DVCPRO/NTSC, with medium quality, with 16 bit sound set at 32 Khz. Then I run that .avi through the Adobe Flash Media Encoder with a frame rate of 15 fps, deinterlacing and resizing the screen to 640 by 480. This procedure (outlined by our former video editor) produces serviceable web quality video (You can see video that results from using these settings at http://wvgazette.com/multimedia). So, two questions: 1) I have created an 8-minute FCE music video for my band and wish to export it at a higher quality (for use on Vimeo) than these newspaper settings. Which of them do I change so that a higher quality video results without waiting all night for a massive file to upload? 2) And wthere might I turn for guidance on better understanding the Sanskrit of FCE video export settings for newbies? Thanks for any help.

The simplest way to produce good quality video for the internet is:-
    1. File>Export Using QT Conversion.
    2. The "Format" window should say, "QT Movie".
    3. In "Use" select "LAN/Intranet" from the dropdown menu.
    4. Click "Save" and when it has finished encoding, upload it.
Do not mess about altering audio settings, frame rates etc.
Using the above settings an 8 minute video would be encoded in around 20 minutes (depending on computer speed) and would be well under 100MB.
    Is that too big?

  • How do I create a High Quality Image with a low file size???

    Dear All,
I am creating an invitation in Illustrator which I then place into photshop to create a JPEG. I want to create a high quality JPEG version of it but with a low file size because I am emailing the invitation. Am I correct in placing the image into photshop or should I export it from Illustrator.
The image is built of of vectors and one JPEG but they are not high in quality.
    Can anyone help me please
    Thanks
    Ben

The image is built of of vectors and one JPEG but they are not high in quality.
For this type of image you would probably be better choosing GIF format (now known for some reason as 'Compuserve GIF'). Taking the number of "colors' down untl it still looks high quality, and anti-aliasing is preserved.
