by forwarding or redirecting all the messages to your webmail email address one by one. that's the only way. the same is true for any other email client you may use. there is no other way to get messages into a webmail pop account.

  • How can I export songs from my iTunes to a mail program or laptop?

How can I export songs from my iTunes to a mail program/computer? The songs in question are originals composed by my boyfriend in Garage Band. We have full rights to them, but they import into iTunes like all the other artists songs. His hard drive crashed and I have the only copies. I have no access to my iMac for 2 months while we tour our show and we need them on the tour. We are in dire straights if we can not access these songs and the iPad will not hook up to our equipment. Plus we need to add a track to a promotional video. So how can we access our own music?
    Thanks.

If they are in the iPad's Music app then the only way to get them out of it is by connecting the iPad to a computer. As they aren't iTunes purchases you won't be able to copy them back to a computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, instead you will need a third-party program on the computer to copy them off - there are some listed half-way down this page which should work: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • Exporting mail from specific subfolders only via powershell

I am trying to create a powershell script to export mail from the specified subfolder of the inbox of an exchange 2010 mailbox to a PST.  For example, if Bobs mailbox has a folder in the inbox called salesinfo and this needs to be exported to a PST,
but nothing else in the mailbox should be included, is there a way to do this in PowerSHell?
I have tried new-exportrequest -mailbox bob -includefolders '#inbox#\\salesinfo' -filepath \\server\share\bob.pst
and am getting nowhere fast.  this gets folder structure for somethings out but no mail.... exporting the whole mailbox or even the entire inbox is also no good...
Does anyone know if there might be a way to do this?
    thanks much

    Hello Derek,
There are parameters that you can use to export specific folders however these days Exchange forums are getting attacked by third party product person so having lack of quality :)
You can use IncludeFolder or ExlcudeFolder switch to choose specific folder or exclude folders that you don't want...
For example for default folder (you can use #defaultfoldername#)...
    New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox Kweku -IncludeFolders "#Inbox#" -FilePath \\SERVER01\PSTFileShare\Kweku\LegalHold.pst
If you want to include multiple folders then here is an example...
    New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox Kweku -IncludeFolders "#Contacts#","rootfoldername/subfoldername"  -FilePath \\SERVER01\PSTFileShare\Kweku\LegalHold.pst
If you want to include all subfolder of a root folder then here is the switch...
    -IncludeFolders "rootfoldername/*"

Was able to successfully solve the export problem by below command by adding the contentfilter parameter all -like this gave me all mails sent to this user and received to this user perfectly.
New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox "journalmailbox" -ContentFilter {all -like '[email protected]'} -FilePath "\\server\mailbox.pst"

  • Problem exporting mail from N8-00 to PC

    Hi
I want to copy the email to outlook 2007 on my PC.
How do you export email from the Mail app on the N8-00.  I installed the PC Suite on a Vista PC and it synch'ed contacts but there is no option to sync email.   When you go into the setup area of PC Suite there is no Email tab.  I saw the user gudie which has a crseenshot showing one but I don't know why it is not visible to me.
It does talk to Outlook as contacts came over successfully.

There is an app which looks as if it will do what you want, http://store.ovi.com/search?q=best+messagestorer# but it isn't listed when the store is set to a Belle N8, so it might not be compatible with Belle yet. There is a 15 day trial version at http://www.smartphoneware.com/messagestorer-for-s60-3rd-edition-product.php which while described as for s60 3rd, does include s^3 in the platform list. There may well be other apps available, either in the store or at 3rd party sites, that do a similar job so spending some time searching may be of use.
If there aren't too many addresses that you want to save, and you can't find an app to do it, you can always save the addresses manually. When viewing the mail on the phone select the "+" icon, then when you select the address you get the option to save to contacts. Once done you'll be able to sync with Nokia Suite.
I can't see a way of forwarding mail from a different account to the one it was recieved on (an I guess you would need this to forward as you say the account has been deleted) but if there is any text that you really need to save you can do this by forwarding/replying and then selecting text and copy/paste to a new document.

    Hi
How do you export email from the Mail app on the N8-00.  I installed the PC Suite and it synch'ed contacts but there is no option to sync email.    I want to copy the email to outlook on my PC.

    @DStratton
As you are probably aware Nokia Suite supports Outlook but to sync with Outlook you have to install the Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB952142).
Happy to have helped forum with a Support Ratio = 42.5

  • Where is export mail option

Greetings.. i have a straightforward question.. is it correct that there isn't an "export mail" option in 10.6.8 ?   Mail version 4.6
I have read various comments on forums about exporting mailboxes, sometimes there is mention of choose Export Mail but there has also been advice to copy the mailboxes to a usb then transfer to another computer.
I definitely don't have an Export Mail option available.. only Import and Copy. I would like Export tho .

Thank you for replying but i already knew to do as you suggest,  and i had done much searching within the menus, there isn't an Export Mailbox option in the Mailbox menu ( and i was highlighting specific mailboxes).
Amongst references to taking accounts online etc and smart mailboxes in the Mailbox menu the more applicable ones i have are Rename, Delete and Archive. Also Rebuild which i don't want to get into.  But no Export.
Under File menu i have Import and under Edit there is Copy.  I pretty much know my way around things so this one does surprise me.
I don't think it was on my PowerPC eMac either ( i found an old mailbox file on a usb which i must have transferred) but i thought it might be on this iMac although by some standards it is becoming old.

  • I d like to export mail folder ("on my mac") to different mac

I d like to export mail folder ("on my mac") to different mac!
    In detail:
I got a MacBookPro and have a lot of important emails saved in mail under the "on my mac" folder. How do I transfer those folder and emails to my Imac? Both macs mail is working fine but if i create a new folder under "on my mac", emails on the Imac disapear and they are not in the "on my mac" folder of the Imac. Any suggestions?

You will have to buy the version that is compatible with the version of Apple OS X that you are running.

  • Export mails/mailboxes to PDF?

    Hi everyone,
on the PC you can export mails or whole mailboxes to PDF while retaining all the attachments in it. This is made possible when you have Acrobat Pro 9 installed. Is there a similar way to accomplish the same with Apple Mail? I know of the Archive option and how this gives you an mbox. For me this would be sufficient, but in order to be viewable also on the PC the customer would like to have PDFs here, too. Any ideas? Automator to the rescue?
    Thanks
    Björn

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I’m still looking for a a comparable solution.

  • Exporting Users From Iplanet Directory

How do you export users from Iplanet Directory Server so that they can be imported into a MS Active Directory either 2000 or 2003?
Any help would be appreciated with step by step instructions.
    Jippy35

    Thanks Andbrowny
I gave it a go, but got a strange error, does this mean anything to you?
    admin$ sudo ldapsearch -LLL -H ldap://127.0.0.1 -b "cn=users,dc=my,dc=domain,dc=net" > userexport.ldif
    Password:
    SASL/GSSAPI authentication started
    ldapsasl_interactive_binds: Local error (-2)
additional info: SASL(-1): generic failure: GSSAPI Error: Unspecified GSS failure. Minor code may provide more information (No credentials cache found)
I suspect my OD is screwed, as slapd maxes out all 8 cores every few days, and takes out the mail server as a side effect.
The Linux link wasn't applicable to this, all the commands and paths are different to MacOS X unfortunately.

  • Can a user Import/Export Email from IMS?

    VER: IMS 5.2
    OS: NT4
Q: Is there any way to import/export email from a user's account?

What do you want to import/export from?
I think you can do a dump of someone's mailbox using the imsbackup utility, but am not sure what format this gives you. Probably you can only import this into another iMS server.
Apart from that, you could look at what tools your mail clients have for saving and importing messages. I think Outlook express has an archive utility that you could use. To import from Outlook to the server, you could use the iPlanet sync tool. This will synchronise in both directions between the iMS mail server and various clients. These include Outlook, Windows CE handhelds, palms, etc. Basically, if you set this up to synchronise with Outlook, then you can import/export using anything that will interface with Outlook.
Of course you don't have to use Microshaft products. You could use any mail client to do this. Not sure about synching with other clients cos we've not done it.
I'm not sure how you can get hold of this synching tool. There were various beta versions floating around about a year or so ago and I would have expected that they would have released a supported version by now. Then again.....

  • Exporting Email From Thunderbird

When I made the full time transition from Windows to Linux, I selected Thunderbird as my email again, and imported all my Outlook Express mailboxes (and I have a lot of them) into Thunderbird. Thunderbird is a good mail agent, but I am getting worried about being locked into one mail agent again, much as I was with Windows.
Are there any programs out there that can EXPORT email from Thunderbird into some neutral format like HTML or XML or some such?
Ultimately, I would like to start using Sylpheed, but I can't see any way to get my email from Thunderbird to Sylpheed.
    Any ideas anyone?

The beauty of this method is that you do it all from the client itself.  You would launch thunderbird as you normally do and set up a second account.  That second account should be an IMAP server.  Which IMAP server you use and where it is located is up to you.  If you have an ISP that provides IMAP mail that would be easiest otherwise you could set up your own somewhere.
(on a side note, since I am not an IMAP expert I would recommend downloading a trial version of Communigate Pro from stalker.com since it will install and work quickly for your purposes)
Once you have both accounts active and working in the client just drag the emails from the folder on one account to a folder on the other.  Thunderbird will automatically transfer the mails to the other server for you.
I should also point out that this isn't a thunderbird specific feature -- even outlook express will do this.
    Good luck!
