Export Menu Missing Newly Installed Plugin

Is there a limit to how many export plugins you can have installed?
How do you remove one?
I installed Kodak Gallery one a few weeks ago and it works, but I want to use Myphotoalbum plugin now instead of kodak one and have run install and rebooted and restarted Iphoto but it isn't showing up on export menu as an option.
How can I remove kodak one if i dont plan on using it anymore?

I'm not aware of there being a limit - it is more likely an incompatibility with the plug in - are you sure that it is compatible with iPhoto '08? also be sure that an old iPhoto plug "FileExporter.iphotoexporter" is not there - it can cause problems - the current one that should be there is "FileExporter2.iphotoexporter"
To view and control your plugs ins go to the applications folder and get info on the iPhoto application (right click (alt click) and select get info). Toward the bottom of the window there is a list of plug ins and you can turn them on and off or remove them there

I am running PSE5 under Windows 7 64-bit, I have tried numerous times to get newly installed 8bf files to show up in the program under filters, but this never happens. The additional filters such as Flaming Pear 'Flood' were correctly copied to the plug-ins folder. Any help anyone?

After you download the flood filter from flaming pear, you unzipped (extracted) the flood-164.zip and then copied the flood-164 folder to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5.0\Plug-Ins

User Missing Export Menu After Running Financial Report

I've got a user who has run a financial report in Workspace and wants to export it to Excel. Most of my users have the File-->Export-->Excel-->Fully Formatted Grids and Text option available, but this user does not. He appears to have all the same security settings as everyone else. Does anyone know what controls this capabilty and what is causing this user to not be able to see the Export menu? Any help would be appreciated.

It could be a different version of IE. Is he/she has the same version of IE with the other users? I would also check his/her preferences and make sure he can export to Office 2002 and higher. I assume the version of the office you are using is newer than 2000.
To see/change the preferences, login to Workspace > Explpre > File > Preferences > Financial Reporting > General

Acrobat 10 is already installed in my PC. Every time I try to read a PDF file on the web, FF tries to download it instead.

As recommended above by Bernd Alheit, I posted this on the Adobe Reader forum. There, I received the advice to repair the installation under the help menu, which I did and it fixed the problem.
Similar to your solution but found it's a fix found under "HELP" menu and not Add/Remove.

How do I view the installed plugins?

Pardon my ignorance, I'm totally new to Safari for Windows. When I googled for this, the link said to choose Help, Installed Plugins. Yet when I choose Help, I do not see any dropdown for "Installed Plugins"? I'm using the latest version of Safari and wonder if the instructions I found via google were dated and apply to earlier versions of Safari. Anyway, I cannot find any such "installed plugins" dropdown menu in Help! Please help, thanks ..

and actually download some plugins? I thought when I installed iTunes (latest version) and Java, etc. - that those installers would automatically put plugins into Safari the way they do into other browsers (Opera, IE, Firefox).
But my copy of Safari got added later by an iTunes update, so maybe that's what I'm missing? I'll try manually installing some of these plugins ..

Firefox crashes for unknown reason lately, so I removed it and reinstalled it. How can I put my Favorites (bookmarks) back into the newly installed FireFox???

Firefox crashes a few times when I was on Facebook and with email, also watching dramas online. Most of the time due to Adobe Flash and I did submit crash report. Later it crashes for unknown reason while I have email and Facebook on different tabs -- when I was on the tab of email, it looks system hang and not responding. This happened to my laptop that uses Windows Vista as I noticed. I don't remember it ever happens to my desktop that uses Windows XP.
It's pretty annoying of such known crash, but before removing Firefox, I did try to update all add-ons or plugins and it looks like doesn't work out. After updating for couple times and it still crashed like that, I removed Firefox and reinstall it.

What installing the twain plug-in, you mean? Go to your applications folder. Find the Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 folder. Look in there for a folder called support files, then for a folder called optional plugins. In the Optional Plugins folder, there should be a folder called ImportModules. Just drag that from the Optional Plugins folder to the regular Plugins folder.
This will be infinitely easier to do if you put your applications folder window into list view, not the default icon view. To do that, click this button at the top of the window:

Trying to get gnome-main-menu-svn (SLAB) installed from AUR

Having soem troubles installing gnome-main-menu-svn (SLAB) installed from the AUR using yaourt. After getting all the dependencies figured out, there still seems to be problems.
Here is what I have so far:

Any help is appreciated. I really love that menu!

I ran yaourt as root to install gnome-main-menu-svn, and it got past that part. Looks like that was a problem with permissions that also needs to be fixed.
Now its telling me that I don't have a high enough version of libnm-glib, it is asking for >= 0.7.0, and I have 0.6.6. I checked the the repos and there does not seem to be a 0.7.0 version or higher available. A suggestion on the gnome-main-menu-svn package page makes a suggestion, but Im not sure how to go about it

So I either need to get revision 401 from the svn instead, or get networkmanager and its libs at version 0.7.0

I found a package called networkmanager-beta which seems to be version 0.7.0. Trying to install that with yaourt is unsuccessful as well.

Also had to do yaourt as root to get that far. Why is it that when you use yaourt as root, it advises you to switch to a normal user, and then the packages will not install correctly unless you do?

How do I get the data on my old hard drive onto the newly installed one?

Hi all,
Just got a new 160GB hard drive into my trusty 12" Powerbook G4. Now, what is the simplest and most effective way for me to load all my old data onto my new drive? I've heard of Carbon Copy Cloner and DejaVu, but no experience in these matters I'm afraid. I'm no hardware expert either I admit, and just got the drive swapped. I do have the old one (untouched) in a Firewire enclosure though... any ideas or suggestions?

If you swapped out the HDD yourself, you are doing pretty well. On top of that you have the old HDD in a Firewire enclosure. Great!
Next step is to format and erase the HDD.
Formatting, Partitioning Erasing a Hard Disk Drive
Warning! This procedure will destroy all data on your Hard Disk Drive. Be sure you have an up-to-date, tested backup of at least your Users folder and any third party applications you do not want to re-install before attempting this procedure.
• Connect old HDD in FW enclosure to computer via firewire.
• Hit Power button
• Immediately after chime hold down the Option key.
• Select your old HDD and click right pointing arrow.
• Log into your old account.
• Go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility and launch DU.
• Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in left side bar.
• Select Partition tab in main panel. (You are about to create a single partition volume.)
• Click on Options button (where available)
• Select Apple Partition Map (PPC Macs) or GUID Partition Table (Intel Macs)
• Click OK
• Select number of partition in pull-down menu above Volume diagram.
(Note 1: One partition is normally preferable for an internal HDD.)
• Type in name in Name field (usually Macintosh HD)
• Select Volume Format as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
• Click Partition button at bottom of panel.
• Select Erase tab
• Select the sub-volume (indented) under Manufacturer ID (usually Macintosh HD).
• Check to be sure your Volume Name and Volume Format are correct.
• Click Erase button
• Quit Disk Utility.
Clone Old HDD to new HDD using SuperDuper
• Install new HDD in computer
• Format new HDD (see directions above)
• Install old HDD in firewire enclosure
• Connect enclosure to computer
• Download and launch SuperDuper
• In the Copy field select your external HDD (old HDD in enclosure)
• To is your newly installed and formatted HDD
• Using backup all files
• Click Options button
• Check Repair Disk Permissions on Source
• During copy Erase Destination HDD then copy from Source
• On successful completion Quit SuperDuper
• Click Copy button and confirm
(Note: I find SuperDuper is much easier to use, although CCC will do an excellent job as well).

I can't seem to install plugins. I know that you have to go to: Movies>Motion Templates>Effects. But the problem is that there isn't anything in my Motion Templates folder. Please help me as I kinda need the plugins to be installed.

You haven't installed Motion (you don't need to) or installed templates before... It's not a big issue.
Whatever you lack, you can create. Inside the Motion Templates folder, create the folders: Effects, Generators, Titles, Transitions (make sure they're spelled correctly and case sensitive.)
For Templates to work, they must be installed inside "Categories" which are just another "layer" of folder. You can invent these as well. Try to name your categories something that will help you find the template you're installing. (Categories go inside the main effects folders listed above.)
After you create a category, move the entire effect folder into the category. These template folders contain a Motion file (.moef, .motn, .moti or .motr), two .pngs ("large.png and small.png) and optional .mov file and a Media folder. If any of the required files are missing, the template is likely not to work.
After you place the template in its destination folder, go into FCPX and try it out. If you cannot find it, there's one more step:
The Motion Templates folder and the Effects, Generators, Titles and Transitions folders require a .localized extention. You ADD the extension from each folder's Get Info dialog in the Name & Extension textbox:
Go back into FCPX and find the template...
The reason I laid the extension addition out as a separate step is that some people report that they do not have this issue. (I'm fairly sure, since 10.0.6, that the extensions are required though.) No other level of folder requires to be .localized.

Adobe reader plugin missing from firefox plugins list on redhat 6.1

Hello,
I'm having a problem with putting adobe reader 9 plugin installed on firefox 3.6.17 on redhat 6.1 (64bit)
(Not recreatable on redhat 5.4 with same versions of reader and firefox)
Even though nppdf.so appears in the directory /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory with 755 permissions,
when I start firefox, it is missing from the plugins list.
How can I ensure it is properly installed or what steps can I take to debug the problem deeper?

Trouble Exporting Photos Using "Export" Menu In iPhoto 08

My Export menu fails to do anything when selected.
I believe I've successfully removed any 3rd party export-related plug-ins, but I did that by memory of what plug-ins I had installed. Apple doesn't have an exclusive directory/folder for iPhoto plug-ins...they're all mixed among a folder called "Receipts" in the Library Folder.
Anyone able to solve this problem if you've experienced it?

The plug ins are not in the Receipts folder, but stored within the app itself, You can remove or disable them by selecting the app in the Applications Folder and go File -> Get Info. There's a plug-in pane in the resulting window.

I have the same problem, on my primary computer (Windows XP Pro , but the cause may be different from what 123polis123 had.
It seems that the installer installed the Enterprise Multiserver configuration instead of the built in server.
Note that I installed sucessfully on my laptop (Windows XP Home), using the same install parameters.
I chose the "Server configuration" which has a self contained server tunning a single instance with an embedded JEE server. After running though all the installation screens, before proceeding with the actual installation, the installer reported the following:

The installation proceeded without a hitch, except at the end when the browser is supposed to come up with the admin configuration page it can't find the server. Port 8500 is open. I fiddled around awhile to see what the problem was. I installed on the other computer which went fine - the only difference is that the .NET version is 1.1.4322. I then re-installed, without uninstalling, on the problem computer. When the installer got to the screen where I select the server configuration, Enterprise Multiserver configuration was selected and it was not possible to select onything else. I uninstalled and re-installed. Same thing happened.
The processes running included: k2admin.exe, k2index.exe, k2server.exe and CFDotNetsvc.exe. The processes on the sucessful install included cfp.exe and cfupdate.exe.
Note that I had installed Eclipse and the CFEclipse plugin before installing CF9.
