Export Messages from UC 2.1.2es20.1119-20
Is there a way to export message from UC 2.1 so that I can save them as .wav or similar format files and put them on media? I remember being able to do something similar using Unity 5 when it was integrated with Exchange, but I don't see any similar functionality in 2.1.
correct - 1.2 (Windows based) and 7.0(2) and later (Linux based) work with COBRAS - 2.x does not since it did not support super-user IMAP mailbox access which COBRAS uses to get messages out of mailboxes for users.

How do you export messages from Ovi Suite?
As the title says, how do you export messages from Ovi Suite?
I know how to export messages from Nokia PC Suite, but it doesn't seem to be possible in the new Nokia Ovi Suite.
Here is how I would do it in the Nokia PC Suite.
1. I click the Messages icon to open Nokia Communication Center.
2. I click on the Messages option on the left pane to view only messages.
3. In the main window I mark the messages I want to export.
4. Then I go to File menu and chose Export.
5. Choose destination folder and I'm all set to export my messages from my Nokia.
I can chose between the formats CSV and VMG (vMessage) for export. If more than one message is marked only the CSV format is available. But what you can do to export several messages in the VMG format is to mark them all in the main window and press CTRL+C or right click and chose Copy to copy them all to RAM memory. Then all you have to do is create an empty folder on the desktop and paste them in there by pressing CTRL+V or right clicking and chosing Paste.
That's all there is to it, using Nokia PC Suite. So how do you do this in Nokia Ovi Suite? You don't, right?
And this **bleep** Ovi Suite is supposed to replace PC Suite?
Thank God I won't be needing neither of them much longer. I am switching to Android and HTC. Good luck with Ovi, the Ovi Player, the Ovi Suite, the PC Suite, the Symbian, the S60, the Symbian^1 (S60 5th edition), the Symbian^3, the Symbian^4 and what not.I believe OVI took a step in the right direction with this option. I also believe it was made available due to the fact that OVI Suite cannot take a huge number of messages altogether. This option was made available so that the messages could be backed up.
However, I'd like to suggest the following, if possible.
1. Make Nokia OVI Suite be able to handle a huge number of messages.
2. Have the option to export only selected messages.

Exporting Messages from Outlook Express
Can anyone advise how to export my messages from OE in a comma separated values file (csv)? Alternatively, I could work with a tab delimited file if someone can help with this.
I'm using OE 5.0.6 with OS 9.2.2.
Many thx!
G3 Tower Mac OS 9.2.xJeff,
Welcome to discussions.
If you can help us by telling us what you plan to do with the messages, we may be able to provide some suggestions. Tab-delimited and CSV is a pretty dodgy format for email content. There are a host of other email applications (many free) that are only too willing to read all your mail from OE and import it into their mail database. They may then have some output options, ie. XML, which I think is 1,000,000x more preferable than CSV.
Are you planning to import the email into some FileMaker / AppleWorks or HyperCard database ?
I've had to do this more than a few times, from MS Mail (Win 3.1) to OE (OS8) to Lotus Notes (WinNT) to OE (OS9) to Outlook (W2K) to Entourage (OSX), and back again, sometimes. I've tried all the other options available to me, ie. OSX Mail as an intermediate step for some tricky conversions.
Any info you can provide about what you want to achieve will help. -
Export messages from Entourage - import to Mail.app
How can I export my messages from Entourage and then import into Mail.app?
I'd like to see this too. I got a new job and CAN NOT get MAIL to work, but the account settings work in ENTOURAGE. I ONLY NEED TO IMPORT THE EMAIL ACCOUNT - NOT the contacts, calendar, etc.
CAN I IMPORT AN EMAIL ACCOUNT - (NOT a "Mailbox")

Getting old 'Sent" messages from server onto my Mac
I am using Mail 2.1.3 on a Mac Mini with OSX 10.4.11.
I have used web mail (earthlink) exclusively for a number of years and now want to switch to a new email provider. I would also like to start using Apple Mail. I need to preserve my old send messages as well as my old inbox messages.
In doing some testing, I can get old inbox messages to come down from the server into Mail on the Mac. However I have no idea how to get the old 'Sent" messages down. Can't find anything about it in Help or elsewhere.
I'm logging into server mail via POP.
Can anyone help put me on the right path? Thanks.Never mind, I figured it out for myself.
I contacted earthlink and they were useless, as usual. They do not support IMAP and they insisted it was "impossible" to export messages from the sent box or archive them in any way. When I pushed back on that, they told me one way would be to go into each message and forward it to myself (thus having it appear in my inbox.) With thousands of messages, that was not going to happen.
So I poked around and realized that right on the menu is an option to move messages from one box to another. I mass selected all the messages in my sent box and moved them to my inbox, and they all came down to my Mac. Easy as could be.
The messages are now co-mingled all in the inbox, (but still in order by date) but that's okay, because I just need to archive them.
FYI for anyone else having this problem, I am switching to gmail, and I also found out that gmail has an option for pulling all your old messages into their mail service, with many common email providers supported. Whether this pulls in the sent messages or just the inbox, I don't know. But gmail supports IMAP, so if you can get them over there, you should then be able to get them down to your Mac/PC. So that could be another option. -
Release specific messages from quarantine
Hello All,
I am fairly new to the IronPort email security appliances and was hoping someone could provide some guidance on how to accomplish the following. I need to configure exporting or providing access to our security team to directly export messages from the virus/malware quarantine for offline analysis. Can this be accomplished, if so how? Is there a way to zip or encrypt messages in the quarantine and have them released to a spefic mailbox account which our security team owns?
Thanks for the help in advance.Hi,
There are couple of methods you can achieve copy of messages however there no way of zip or encrypt message. You can open TAC case and log a feature request for zip or encrypt messages in quarantine.
Option 1:
To do this you would first need to modify your "anti spam policy" to add custom header and deliver the message
(instead of setting the action to quarantine)
Steps:
1) Go under
"Mail Policies" > Click the desired policy
Under "Positively-Identified Spam Settings" - "Apply This Action to Message" set action to Deliver
Now click on "Advanced" and locate "Add Custom Header".
Enter X-Ironport-Quarantine in the text field located on the right side of "Header:"
Submit changes
2) Next navigate to
"Mail Policies" > "Incoming Content Filters"
Click on "Add Filter ..." and create a filter with
Conditions - "Other Header" - "Header Name" X-Ironport-Quarantine - "Header exists"
Action - "Send Copy (BCC)" enter the bcc address
Note: For virus quarantine copy of a message can be also achieve by keeping header same or different. In case of different headers, please add a second condition in above content filter.
++ if you would like to copy All type of messages (positive, suspected) then add headers option needs to be enable under all Actions in AnitSpam and Antivirus in incoming/outgoing mail policy.
Option 2
How to have a copy of all released messages from IPAS quarantine? (only if you choose to release messages)
The quarantine has no option to add an email address for a bcc copy of the released message. The workaround is to save the configuration file on a local computer in order to open and edit it. In the configuration file, look for this tag under the Euq configuration:
<euq_to_corpus_addr>[email protected]</euq_to_corpus_addr>
email address [email protected] which is behind the quarantine option "Notify IronPort Upon Message Release", should be replaced This email address can be replaced with any email address where a copy of released messaged should be sent to. After saving the configuration and loading it back to the appliance, also make sure the "Notify IronPort Upon Message Release" is enabled in the spam quarantine's configuration on the GUI
* The procedure described here should be used by customers who need to keep track about what is leaving their company, in terms of email messages.
Hope that information helps.
Thanks

Can't properly Import messages from WLM to Outlook 2010
I have installed windows 7 ultimate (32 bit) edition in my system, also I installed MS Office 2010 Professional Plus.
I used Outlook Express as my email client for last 10 years, and hence I have huge mail storage to import to Windows7. I’ve decided to use Outlook as my email client now on.
I have successfully imported all my OE messages to Windows Live Mail in my Windows7 system, and now I want to import them to Outlook2010. But when I try to import them from Outlook – it can’t see any messages to import. And when I export it from
WLM, most of the (but NOT all) messages exported to Outlook, but when I open the exported messages from Outlook I see the ‘Internet headers’ are blank for all the messages.
I am digging my head for last 1 week to resolve this issue but found no fix, can anyone help me please!
Thanks in advance.
~SanjoyYou need to export from WLM and yes, the headers will be blank. If you have an old computer with OE on it, you can export to Outlook then move the pst to the new computer.
Diane, I just purchased Outlook 2010 and have a serious issue with losing the header information when exporting data from
Windows Mail. It seems that Microsoft recently fixed this problem (partially) which I found referenced on a different site. I went to the control panel (I'm using Vista), and ran Windows Update. After updating both the Important and the Optional items, I went
into Outlook 2010 and imported my mail and contacts from Windows Mail. The header information does now import correctly. However, in WM there is a column which shows you from which of your accounts an email arrived. In Outlook it's called "Category". This
information remains lost after the migration, and the entire column is empty (though new emails that are downloaded do get tagged properly). Can you tell me how to re-import my messages without losing this information? Would using your workaround of importing
the files into an earlier version of Outlook solve this problem? If so, which version should I use? -
How can I export text messages from Companion?
Dear all!
I have a number of old text messages which I would like to keep for the future. They are already erased from my tiny phone memory (I have an old SE "Cybershot"). So, right now they are only accessible via PC Companion. But: This only works if I connect my phone. If I launch the "text message synchronizing menu", the software asks me to plug in a phone, if I cancel, I'm back to main screen. However, I don't want to keep my old phone lying around for the next years just in case I want to browse through my old text messages some day.
Is there a way to export my these old messages or can I find them on my hard drive?
This might have been covered in some of the other threads, but I couldn't find a relevant post. I understand that "my Phone Explorer" allows to export text messages from the phone, but since mine are somehow hidden inside Companion, I am at a loss.
Thanks for your help!
JanAhem, yes, that works Didn't think of this possibility at all...
You can save indivual messages or put all the highlighted ones into one single text document. It's not very comfortable to read, but it certainly does the job!
Thank you very much! -

I am already big fan of yours and using mail to many Addin from years from word 2007 to Word 2010 :) and still loving it and I use it for access re-authorization from Lines for application accesses . I tried and finally got understanding of the Extract to
mail Addin and after tweaking excel - Text To columns and other few things finally i was able to get the required data - from morning to now :) I am happy to see your provided guidance
Thanks alot - by the way why your Mail to many add-in is so slow now these days :) previous versions usually help me send 1000 emails in 10 minutes now it takes long time :) -
Export from premiere pro cs4 for youtube - new error message from youtube
I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem to me.
I am using CS4 on a windows 7 computer.
I have a number of films that I am in the proces of exprting for upload to youtube.
Since youtube has updated the design and function of it's upload window I am now getting a warning once the upload completes saying "The video that you uploaded may have audio/video sync issues. Please refer to this article for advice on how to correct this issue should it arise."
The link takes you to a page which gives you a range of settings. It suggest Quicktime as the preferred format with H.264 encoding.
But in Adobe media encoder cs4 if I select format: quicktime, there is no h264 option.
I have tried selecting Format: H264 and the apparently obvious Youtube widescreen HD format, but still get the warning. Our footage is all PAL so I normally change this from NTSC to PAL - but even if I do not make this change, I still get the warning.
I wondered if anyone else has discovered this, and if they have found a work around?
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
I am using:
adobe media encoder 4.2.0.006
adobe premiere pro 4.2.1
Finally, in terms of the warning, I do not generally notice sync issues, but occasionally I giet visual glitches once the film is uplaoded to youtube - the latest involved the whole bottom half of the screen being smudged, as though someone had smeared the image from the middle down to the bottom of the screen. It only lasted about half a second.
Thanks
PatchHi Jim, you are quite right... that is what it says.
It is just that when I export a movie using premiere pro, and upload it I get a warning message from youtube. I never like a warning, so I followed the link to the article hoping for a solution.
I assumed the article indicated youtube's preferred format, so thought 'great, I'll use that- but could not find them in Premiere Pro.
As you point out it does say it is for iMovie, Final Cut Pro or Quicktime (so my mistake).
As Ann suggests, as the film looks ok on youtube, I will just carry on using the youtube settings in Premiere Pro, and ignore the warning.
Thanks for the sugestions,

How to set EXPORT parameter from message mapping
Again, ask the question of export parameter.
I wrote a java version transformation and it worked good with export parameter.
However I can not work it out in graphical message mapping. I refered http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/43/c3e1fa6c31599ee10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm.
In PI7.1, I add an export parameter "EXPORT_PARA" in the "Signature" tab. Are there any special step to assign this parameter to an UDF? I did not find a way to do it.
And then I define an UDF,
public String SetExportPara(String sss, Container container) throws StreamTransformationException{
String str = "GOOD";
GlobalContainer gc = container.getGlobalContainer();
OutputParameters paras= gc.getOutputParameters();
if(paras.exists("EXPORT_PARA ") == true) {
paras.setString("EXPORT_PARA ", str);
}else {
str = "NOT FOUND EXPORT_PARA";
return str;
And I assign this UDF to one element of my output XML, I tried to run it in IE, it always output "NOT FOUND EXPORT_PARA.
why?????
I know there is a blog : https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/8654. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
But it did not talk how to set export parameters.Hi,
i read thread
How to export parameters from Message Mapping
and blog
/people/jin.shin/blog/2008/02/14/sap-pi-71-mapping-enhancements-series-parameterized-message-mappings
but not found issue
in this topic
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/43/c3e1fa6c31599ee10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm.
if i writting this code in UDF, i getting an error.
If use this code:
GlobalContainer gc = container.getGlobalContainer();
OutputParameters paras= gc.getOutputParameters();
paras.setString("EXPORT_PARA ", str);
the export parameter is defined locally (in transformation step area). In integration process area parameter is equal to NULL.
How send export parameter to Integration Process? For exapmple, i wanna send parameter to other transformation step in my integration process.
thx. -
Use exported parameter from message mapping (via UDF) in next mapping prog
Is there any chance to assign an exported parameter from one message mapping to another mapping program within an operation mapping?
Hi,
Try using dynamic configuration
1. Set value in message mapping and
2. Get value in java mapping

Exporting slideshow from iphoto to idvd /message says" disc is full"
when exporting slideshow from iphoto to idvd /message says" disc is full" It is a new mac with 2gb extra memory. I have cleared out all extraneous files, so there should be room on the disc. Help, this is a student''s work and would love to help them burn the dvd slideshow.

IS this your Hard Disk is full?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of HD space to function normally. It uses this space for things like Virtual Memory and temporary files and other OS operations.
I have cleared out all extraneous files, so there should be room on the disc
How did you do this? Did you empty the trash?

How do I export items from my iPhone to my iMac? Apple sent me a message to my iPhone, saying that there is an update for iOS, to 6.1.3, but before I install this update, I should first transfer some items from the iPhone to my iMac; otherwise I would lose these items (apps?)
I have two problems with this: 1) I don't know what files I should transfer, and 2) I don't how to transfer from an iPhone to an iMac (but do know how to download apps from iTunes Store to my iMac, and then to my iPhone.
Very confusing! Any help/suggestions gratefully accepted.
