  • Export Movie with Transparent Background

I created a lower third from a PNG with a transparent background. I brought that into FCPX and animated it. Now I want to export it and create a movie with a transparent background so I can use the animated lower third in other projects. I can't seem to find a way to make the movie's background transparent. How do I do that?
    Thanks, Happy New Year!

    Thank you very much!

  • Export movie with transparent background, Adobe Premiere Elements 9

    Help!
I'm now using Adobe Premiere Elements 9.  I'm trying to create a few regularly used lower-third animated graphics.  There will be 4... each with the same animated background, but with different names in text.
I was able to do this just fine in earlier versions of Premiere Elements... using Quicktime Export, and changing color settings to "Millions + of colors"... or something similar...
Is there a way to do this in this version?  Help!

You can not export video with an alpha channel from Premiere Elements. Sorry.

  • Trouble Exporting movie with Media Encoder, weird clip sizes and errors

I'm using Premiere Pro CS4 on a Windows XP Professional with 2gb RAM and 1.6GHz.  I'm trying to export a short movie (2.5 minutes) with no audio.  It is just a bunch of stitched together videos imported from 1280x 1024.  I'm sizing them into 720 x 480.  I get very poor video quality unless I use uncompressed formats, so I am using an Uncompressed AVI with UYVY Codec and 1.0 square pixels.
1st problem: I get an error running more than around 35-50seconds:
The Operation was interrupted by user

    Unknown error.
Its very consistent with having this error.  I'm pretty sure there is plenty of room for the files, it only gets up to around 2.5gb.  I can watch the movie up to where the error occurs and there is no problem.
2nd: I tried spliting the video up into 4 different files and the last clip won't match the others.  I export all of them the same way, with 1.0 aspect ratio and the first 3 come out saying .9091NTSC.  The last one will say it is 1.0 ratio if I do it the same way or 0.9091 NTSC  if I change it, but either way, it will come out wider that the other clips (they will all still have black space on sides).

  • Why does exporting .mov with Nero have no sound?

I recently bought a Kodak Digital and as you know it produces a .mov file when using the movie feature. It plays fine when using Quicktime. I use Nero Express 3 to create a DVD of my photos. When I export the .mov file or when I transcode to DVD format the Video will complete but playback has no Audio. Do I need an additional codec? Does anyone know how to solve this problem so I can use Nero and watch my DVD with sound?

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
    1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article.
    2. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select the Output tab. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them. Move the Volume sliders all the way to the right.
    3. If your model has an audio-out (headphone) port, and a red light is coming from it, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
    4. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Reboot and test.
    5. Boot in safe mode. Don't log in; just reboot as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
    6. Reset the NVRAM.
    7. Reset the SMC.
    8. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data. For a possible shortcut, see this thread.
    9. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.

  • Export movie with alpha to png sequence

I'm trying to export tweened animation to .png image sequence
    with alpha transparency.
The individual png files appear to be clean -- but when I
open the file sequence in QuickTime, it looses the 8-bit alpha.
Anyone know how to get around this? Thanks!

MCs are dynamic and designed to play at runtime in the flash
player - to export to video you simply
need to convert them to Graphic symbols.

  • CS6 won't export movies with previously exported Quicktime .mov files in them?

On several different projects now, I've made videos which include previously exported CS6 Quicktime .mov clips in the timeline. When I go to export these new projects, Premiere will start compiling and exporting for a few moments, but then will stop and freeze up the program or even my Mac, or it will show an error message. I've tried changing my settings and everything. The only way my projects will export correctly is if they contain NO old .mov files. I'm trying to do a demo reel, so I kind of need those old files. They aren't even old, I exported them out of CS6 a few months ago. Why isn't Premiere exporting correctly and is there any way to fix this?

There are files, and there are files... the important thing is what is inside the file?
MOV (or AVI or MP4 or ???) is a wrapper that may contain many things... not all of those things edit well
Report back with the details of your file, use the program below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing

You should also compare EXACTLY what is inside a file that works -vs- a file that doesn't work

  • Exporting movies with nested animations

Hi! I'm hoping someone out there can be of some assistants,
I'm currently working on a animation, and I've pretty much finished
now and am trying to export the full animation so I can use this
within Director MX 2004. Only, now I've discovered that ideally to
produce an animation I should have done my entire animation within
the main timeline of Flash, I have now found out that if I'm trying
to export a animation that includes nested movie clips I'll have
    problems exporting the entire animation.
I've spent sometime researching this problem and found that
there is a third party applicatiion that will solve this problem,
called: swf2avi, my only problem with this is that this program is
only available for PC's and I'm using a Mac. Has anyone else ran
into this same problem? Does anyone know of another third party
application that sloves this problem but is mac friendly? Or if not
does anybody have any helpful suggestions that will help me over
    come this issue?
Anybody's help / advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Director handles SWF files though doesn't it? I could be
    wrong about that.
Sounds like you are exporting to a video format. First see
    this article:
    http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/flash/articles/flash_to_video.html
and yes, SWF2video is for PC only.
The workaround is for you to simply go back into the FLA and
set all movie clips to Graphic symbols
    - you can still have nested animation that are in sync with
main timeline *if* they are *Graphic*
symbols - you will have to do this for every movie clip
instance on the stage for every keyframe.
    hope this helps.

  • Automator and Applescript to export movie with quicktime

I have started a work flow that asks for some files from a folder and then passes the list to an Applescript. So far the script is:
    on run {input, parameters}
    set output_items to {}
    tell application "QuickTime Player"
    activate
    close every window
    end tell
    repeat with i in input
    tell application "QuickTime Player"
    open (i as alias)
    -- HERE HERE HERE
    close front document
    end tell
    end repeat
    return output_items
    end run
What I cannot figure out is how to get the file name excluding the extension where I have "HERE HERE HERE". I want to be able to get Quicktime to export the file to the desktop with the same file name as a Quicktime Movie. I cannot figure out how to do this...any help?

Thanks to both of you for your help.
I have made (well still in the process of finishing it up) a folder action work flow that takes movie files, converts them to an iPhone format and moves them to iTunes.
I would like to give credit where credit is due. If you guys are okay with it, can I add your info (name, email, profile on apple discussions, whatever) to the credits?
    Thanks

  • Unknown Error when trying to export movie with certain PNG files in Adobe Premiere

    Hi!
I've made an animation video in Premiere Pro CC2014 combining apple pro-res live action with png animation. When trying to export, some parts of the video are no problem, and some (seemingly random) png files Adobe Premiere just doesn't like?? I don't understand why it will export some and not others?
    Help??!
    Thanks so much!!

Error compiling movie can be anything from gap to bad clip, transition, effect, nest, you name it.
Export from AME with preview open and watch were in the timeline it goes wrong.
That is the place to fix it.

  • Export Movies with Aperture - correct date

    Hi,
I have exported a bunch of movies from Aperture to a file.  Then imported them to iPhoto (don't ask why - thats another post).  The process worked perfectly for all the pictures.  The pictures carried over their correct metadata (dates, location etc).  However the movies have not.  They have not kept their creation dates.  Their creation dates are now set to when they were exported.
Have I done something wrong, is there a work around.  Is this just a flaw with exporting or can it be done successfully?
    Thanks,
    PK

    Hello PK,
    is there a work around?
Maybe; exporting will not work, as TD explained. If the dates are really important to you, you can copy the original master file to your new location using the Finder. That will keep the original dates, but you will not see any metadata tags this way.
How to copy instead of exporting:
If your library is referenced, select your  video in the Browser, ctrl-click it and select "Show in Finder". Copy the revealed Master file to your export folder.
If your Library is managed and the masters are hidden inside the Aperture Library, turn the video temporarily into a referenced file, by selecting it and selecting File -> Relocate Master from the main Aperture Application menu. Then proceed as above and reveal the movie in the Finder to copy it. Afterwards use "File -> Consolidate Master" to move the master video file back into your library.

  • How to export movies with Single Field option on with QuickTime Pro?

    Hi,
I've got a rather problematic video file with MJPEG encoding in it. I've been able to save the original AVI into another QuickTime mov-file. Where I thought the deinterlace would help me to get rid of the horizontal lines in the picture, that option didn't work this time. Instead, if I use the Single Field option, I get at least a smooth picture.
But when I try to export this to another mov-file or any other format for a smaller file size, I never get the smooth picture to stay. And in the resulting files the interlace "effect" can't be removed even with that single field on again!
    I'm using QuickTime Pro 7.6.6.
    Anybody with a solution?

Where I thought the deinterlace would help me to get rid of the horizontal lines in the picture, that option didn't work this time. Instead, if I use the Single Field option, I get at least a smooth picture.
It's my understanding that these QT 7 Pro options are "playback only" property settings utilized by the QT Player and do do not have any effect on the export/re-compression of interlaced content. Have you tried exporting directly to a progressive codec option/setting in QT 7 Pro, tried the motion adaptive deinterlacer in MPEG Streamclip (free) or the JES Deinterlacer (free), or used the "decomb" filter option in HandBrake (free) to see if any of these approaches are more suited to your needs?

  • Exporting movie with 2.35.1 aspect ratio

I used filmic pro on my 4S to capture 24fps video along with a 2.35.1 overlay guide so my video composing will work once everything is edited. I have edited the video in iMovie with 1920x1080 24fps project settings and now I want to export it. Some videos I have seen recommend putting a picture of 2 black bars over the video but I think this is a waste of time and space since I will have to render the 2 black bars.
What would be the correct way of exporting my video with a 2.35.1 aspect ratio in iMovie? It would also be good if there are guides for Final Cut, and Adobe Premiere since I intend to try these out too.

iMovie will render your movie in 16:9 (1920x1080) or 4:3 (standard def), since those are the sizes of television screens.
To show a movie in 2.35:1, you will need to use the set the aspect ratio of the project to 16:9, and then, use the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns tool on the middle Toolbar to set each clip to FIT. You can then Share the movie, and it will create the black bars for you.
If you want to show your movie on a device (like a computer screen or a web page) that is not constrained by the 16:9 or 4:3 limitation, you may be able to process your movie in QuickTime Pro to trim to exact dimensions, but you should check in the QuickTime Pro discussions to make sure, because I have not tried this myself.

  • Exporting .mov with markers question

    Hi all,
I have a 720x480 anamorphic sequence (miniDV footage) that needs to be exported with chapter markers into a .mov so that the client can distribute (using flash drives).
Question is, when I export to QT movie (in order to keep the markers), I select current settings (DV/NTSC) and it turns out looking low-res. But when I export using QT conversion and choose H.264, it looks great. But no chapter markers.
So I try export to QT movie and change the custom settings to 853x480 and H.264 and it gives me a codec error. Why?
    Thanks in advance.
    Jonathan

    Hi Tom,
Thanks for the quick reply. I am viewing it in QT 7.3 Playback set to high quality. What do you mean "is the aperture set to display the anamorphic frame in widescreen"? Is this in the QT preferences, because i don't see it.
How do I export it for someone who might not have the software to read anamorphic (or do they all)? Can't I just change the size to 853x480?
    Thanks.
    Jonathan
