Export of Technical System - Third Party?!

Hi,
i want to export technical system in SLD - Dev to SLD - Prod via download the zip file.
This option seems to be not possible for Third Party Systems. All other systems i can export!
Can anybody confirm this and tell me the reason?!
What else do i have to follow up while exporting Development Content from XI Dev to XI Prod?!
br Carsten

I am having the same problem.... Did some checking...
under http://XXXXXX:50000/sld/gen/ListServlet?databrowser=true
content maintenance
Subset: systemlandscape description
Class Third Party Systems
It says:
Describes a third-party system managed by the SAP Solution manager. In contrast to the superclass SAP_ApplicationSystem, these third-party systems are not registered or entered in the SLD directly, but written by the SAP Solution Manager.
It looks like you cannot export this definition?????
When you recreate your system type to standalone it works....our did you find another solution?

  • Export audio track for third-party mixing

I want to export my FCE audio track so I can mix it using Cubase. All I can see to do is to export it as a Quicktime movie, but I think I need to retain the format as AIFF, or perhaps MPEG-4. What can I do?

Use QuickTime Conversion. Change to format popup to Sound to AIFF.

  • Difference between different Technical systems

    Please tell
We can define a technical system as :
Web AS ABAP or Web AS JAVA or Standalone JAVA or Third party or
    Exchange Infrastructure
What is Web AS ABAP system? What is Web AS JAVA system? What is standalone JAVA?
    Thanx in advance
    Harsh

    Hi Harsh
    Web AS ABAP
Web AS ABAP technical systems, ranging from any SAP system to an APO server or CRM server, are based on the same Basis Component (BC), which includes the ABAP interpreter, ABAP Dictionary, ABAP Workbench, and so on. A dedicated database, which stores most of the data of the BC and the application components, is associated with the system.
    Web AS Java
Web AS Java systems consist of one or more instances and each instance is installed on a separate host. An instance itself consists of cluster nodes that can communicate with each other.
    Standalone Java
Standalone Java technical systems are standalone Java applications that are installed in a computer system from an administration perspective. They can also be installed as an operating system service or as a daemon.
    Third-Party
Third-party technical systems contain third-party software components and products.
Third-party systems are not automatically registered in the SLD. Therefore, you have to create them manually by creating:
    Third-party products
    Third-party software components
    Third-party technical system
    Third-party business system
    Exchange Infrastructure (XI)
XI technical systems are the infrastructure systems (such as integration servers and adapter engines) of XI.
    Cheers...

  • Error while exporting the 3rd party technical system in SLD

    Dear all,
We're currently using PI 7.0. When trying to export the technical system in SLD, after the exporting, the IE jumps to the download page automatically, but there's a exclamation mark with no text info. I've tried to create a new 3rd-party technical system and try to export, the same thing happened.
It happened in both our develop and our production PI system.
Also I've found following error info in SLD server log:

not sure if it has relevance, but the SLD level transports will do nothing but create a CIM file which should be downloaded to your deskktop.
    1. Make sure that there are no Pop Up BLocker's acting on the XI server on your machine.
    2. Make sure that you have the download authorizations on your machine.

  • Problem exporting technical systems to QA

    Hi SDN,
I have a problem when i try to export the technical systems to QA enviroment , the download link is not working and the screen show an red icon without message error , somebody knows what's happening??, i'm using PI 7.0 nw04's

    Hi,
most often technical systems are created per landscape
    via transaction
have a look at my weblog:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/10/registering-a-new-technical-system-in-sld--abap-based
so you don't have to transport them

  • Regarding no party no technical system, or anything when log into IR

    Hi all:
Technical systems(ABAP type) and business systems(ABAP type) have been created in SLD, however when log into Integration Repository, there is nothing on object Panel, no technical system or party , totally empty, could you please tell me how to import or the possible reason for this ?
         Thanks in advance!!!

    HI Sony,
Can you confirm r u in the Integration Directory or in Integration Repository??
You can not find the Business System and Party in IR.
If you are in ID you need to create the Scenarion and then you can get the party, servicewithoutpary, receiver determination, Interface determination, sender agreement and receiver agreement.
Now you can assign the Business systems from the SLD to the Business System under servicewithoutparty-> Business Systems.
YOu cannot findout the Technical Systems in the ID also.

  • Cannot export Exchange Infrustructure Technical System from SLD_production

    Hi all,
I recently got the XI production system installed, which came with its own SLD (from now on, SLDp).
I want to syncronize this SLDp with the SLD in the development system (SLDd), notice that I have no consolidation system.
So I exported every Technical system defined in the SLDp and imported them into the SLDd, with the idea of exporting later the whole SLDd into the SLDp syncronizing the 2 systems this way.
The only problem is I cannot export any technical system of type "Exchange Infrastructure" from SLDp. They are 6:
    XI Adapter Framework
    XI Domain
    XI Integration Directory
    XI Integration Repository
    XI Integration Server
    XI Runtime Management Server
I'm afraid I could overwrite them and mess up the production environment as soon as I perform the full export from SLDd.
Is it ok if I don't export them, and just go on with the business systems and then "full export" the entire SLDd?
    Thanks,
    Daniele

    Daniel,
You should not try to copy then from one SLD to other. The TS with respect to XI (Exhchange Infrastrucutre) need to be created (I think they get created autmatically when importing CIS information while installing SLD.. not sure) separately for each system.

  • Technical systems and Business systems in SAP XI

can any one tell me ,breifly explain the  diff b/w <b>Technical Systems</b> & Business Systems?
steps to create Techincal system and Business systems?
and also Steps for creating Software Components? For Technical System we can create more than one Business systems ,what it means?can any one explain?

    Hi
First I let u know with analogy and actual definition as below
Any module of SAP like MM, SRM, FICO ets makes a logical system in combination according to business requirements is a business system which is actualy hosted on an application server like ABAP AS or Java AS which is basically a technical system.
Technical systems are application systems that are installed in system landscape (a CRM server, for example). Most systems (Web AS ABAP and Web AS Java systems) automatically report information to the SLD about the elements that they contain by using the SLD data supplier programs. You need to manually register the following types of system only:
    Standalone Java systems
    Third-party systems
Business systems are logical senders or receivers that exchange messages by using SAP XI and that are entered in the System Landscape Directory.
The business systems in the System Landscape Directory relate to a system landscape.
The business systems of business partners are not entered in the System Landscape Directory. To be able to address such business partners logically, use services in the Integration Directory. A business system is a way of specifying a service in the Integration Directory more precisely (business system service).

    Hi
    <br>
This is a very generic question. There are some getting started guides available in the main XI section on SDN, and also some step-by-step guides in the wiki section. A quick search will get you tons of information.
    <br>
The choice of connectivity and interfacing communication channel is really dependent on the capabilities of the third party system.
    <br>
Also, to get good results on this forum, please read the <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/RulesofEngagement">rules of engagement</a>

Suppose I have different source systems (Third party softwares) how do I connect to my BI system for my extractions. Is this our job to connect all the source systems for extraction or ?
I regret if something is wrong with my question.
    Thanx and Regards,

For some extractions its better to have a db administrator with you.

  • How to define the directory for download technical system?

    Hi,
I'm trying to export the technical system from SLD, but is showed the following message: "/usr/sap/XIP/DVEBMGS76/j2ee/cluster/server1/apps/sap.com/com.sap.lcr/servlet_jsp/sld/root/admin/download/export_20061205_114437.zip (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)".
But the "download" directory do not exist. Can I change this path?
I don't have permission to create a directory in Unix, where the XI was installed.
    Thanks.

Why you export the technical system from SLD ?
Which step you follow in order to make the export ?

    Hi,
<i> can i use thchnical system type 'third party' for R3 system. will the scenario work properly or not.</i>
--- No u can't use this...Ur technical system must be "WebAS ABAP" only.  For file system you use 3rd party system. means ur technical system like follows.
    sender
    R/3  -- WebAs ABAP
    Receiver
File  - 3 rd pary system
<i>And some times some of the business systems in SLD are not visible in ID, when assigning business system in ID.can any one tell reason for this.</i>
Click "Clear SLD cache" repeatly for some time in ID, it will come.
    regards,
    Ansar.
