Export PDF version

I have problem

export PDF Version 1.4 , Acrobat 5.x
Crystal Reports Viewer 2008 Version 12.r680
export PDF Version 1.7 , Acrobat 8.x
Any more about "export PDF" version documents ,
"which version Viewer and that .DLL, OR which version NON-Viewer and that .DLL" can export "which Version PDF" ?

  • Entered Verbiage not appearing in exported PDF version of form

    Hello,
I have created an online application in Forms Central.  It works great, but if the end-user enters too much verbiage in any of the sections, it is often cut-off in the exported PDF version.  Is there a way to ensure all entered verbiage appears in the exported PDF version of the completed form?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
And  now you can make the field taller in the design tab, so that you can print all the text.
Or you can print the Detail view.

  • Can you affect the exported pdf-version???

    Hi,
you can influence the version of the created pdf doc witin the EXPORT OR EXPORTTODISK function?
which Pdf version is produced by which CR version??
    Background:
I have an ocx (which I cannot change), that shows only version 5.1 of PDF documents without any compatibility problem message.
I now export a pdf with EXPORT OR EXPORTTODISK function in CR 2008 as Crystal created a document that my ocx can not display without further inquiry.
Does anyone have an idea how I can work around the problem??
    THANK YOU!

You can not change the pdf version what we export to.
The engine exports to a specific version (I believe it is 2.1, but may be newer now) and there is no way to change it.

  • Background Task Alert - won't export PDF

    Hello
I'm working on a booklet and have been able to export PDF versions of it yesterday but for some reason today it will not let me export a PDF anymore as it keeps telling prompting "Background Task Alert Failure." I've spent hours reading and trying all the recommended ways of fixing this and nothing is helping. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, and attempted to disable it somehow. Please help!!!
Also, I am not tech savvy so please describe what I can do in dummy speak if possible.
    Thank you.

Totally, Sorry for not including all of that information.

  • Need an extension for indesign cs2 that exports latest version of pdfs

we're using ID CS2, no plans to go to a more recent version.  Currently latest version of pdf that it will export to is pdf 7.  current versions of web browsers don't display properly, i imagine because they're expecting a more recent version pdf.  is there an add-on for CS2 that will generate current pdf version ?

  • Export PDF icon disappears on IR runtime version in Workspace

    Hello,
We have implemented Hyperion BI+ 9.3.1. We are faced with a peculiar issue in Production and I am hoping that someone can shed some light.
We have developed a bqy document that has dashboards. This document when published in it's original format (uncompacted) in Workspace, displays the Export PDF icon on the report toolbar; however, if we create a runtime version of this document (using Dashboard Studio) and publish the runtime version in Workspace, the Export PDF icon disappears.
We have been trying to see if we can enable this icon on the toolbar using Javascripts in the Dashboard's Script section and have been unsuccessful.
Have any of you encountered this or does anyone know if we are attempting to enable a feature that just cannot be enabled in the runtime version?
Any help or insight is much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Rajesh

We found a solution to this issue. When creating a runtime version of the bqy using Dashboard Studio, Step 7 (Properties) has several Toolbars properties (LAN Client and Plug-in) that are by default set to False. When we set these Toobar properties (especially LAN Client) to True, the Export PDF icon displays on the runtime version in Workspace.
The documentation (IR Volume 5) was misleading. It described Plug-in to be Web Browser/Thin Client and LAN Client as the Client environment leading us to initially believe that the LAN Client settings will have no effect in Workspace.
I am posting this in case someone else runs into this issue.
    Thanks
    Rajesh

  • PDF Version in Export, CS5.5

  • Font Size is not correct in the exported PDF-File

In the Report is the Font Arial Size 8, but in the exported PDF-Fildethe size is only 7,15. The Fontsize in the PDF-File is always smaller then in the Report.
I use Crystal Report XI. With Version 9 is everythink ok.

In Crystal Reports 10 and 11, exported fonts are shrunk by 5% to avoid field truncation.
For version 11, create the following registry entry and then set the value to 1 to maintain the font size:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\Export\PDF\ForceLargerFonts
Please back-up your registry before editing.

  • Can I use applescript to export PDF search results from "preview"?

My question is about "Preview". I have a very large PDF document that I am using preview to view. After doing a search for a specific word, preview has returned 1200 results. The results panel shows the page number the result is found on and the line of text on which the searched-for-word is found.
My question is this: Is there a way to export this information from preview to something like an excel file? The end result would look like a table with two columns. One with the page numbers and one with the line of text in which the word appears.
Is this something that can be done with applescript? I don't know if the system even stores that kind of information... /sigh. Any help is appreciated.

Using Preview.app, I have done a search for the word “AppleScript” in the PDF version of the AppleScript Language Guide. Then, I have used the following script to retrieve the information displayed in the results panel.
    tell application "Preview" to activate
tell application "System Events" to tell process "Preview"
return value of text field 1 of rows of outline 1 of scroll area 2 of splitter group 1 of window 1
    end tell

  • Error "Failed to Export PDF" with big image on CS6 (32) and CC (64)

    Hi everyone,
I'm on indesign CS6 (v8.0.2) and when I try to export pdf with a very big image ( *.tiff, 25000*35000 pixels, ) , the action failed with this message :" Failed to export a PDF".
To be sure that there is no any corrupted elements, I made a very simple layout (one page , and just one element for my image,I turnoff prefilgth and all  ressource intensive options, and export with no downsampling or resampling) and try to export with different size image:with 20000*30000 -or smaller -image the export works, always failed with image .The export failed to in scripting mode.
If I diveded my image in four , the export works but this solution is not convenient (I actually made tests for a fully automatised process, and we want to be sure that the indesign  component is  enough "safe")
I try the same action with an evaluation version of indesign CC 64 bits (v9.2) and have the same behavior.
I can imagine that there is a memory issue there, but my config seems to be strong ( windows server 64 with  16GB ram, DD with more than 100GB free). I don't undersant why-in a "full" 64 bit environnement- it is not possible to manipulate and export very large image ?
I'm wonder If the background task is a part of the problem, and if it 's possible to disable it in CS6 or CC as in cs5 ( creates an  “DisableAsyncExports.txt” file in  Adobe InDesign executable directoty don't seems to disable it  in CC or CS6).
Thank you for your help and good ideas..
    DC.

this is a .tif (not a "big"tiff) compressed in LZW or ZIP.
I just tried with another format (png), the error is the same...

  • How to purchase Export PDF in France - how to overcome security on a PDF file

I've been trying today to get subscribed to Adobe Export PDF, but since I live in France, it doesn't seem to be available for purchase.  I found a page in French where I was invited to subscribe, but it took me to the French Adobe Store, where this item does not seem to exist.
However, I did reach a page where I was invited to try it out, which I did with a PDF page, really wanting to transfer it into a .csv file, but tried Microsoft Excel as the nearest available.  However, when it had tried to process this PDF file, I got the message that the security on the PDF document was such that I couldn't export anything from it.  I checked the security on the document and found, surprise, surprise, that yes, I couldn't export from it (or much else either).
So, is Adobe Export PDF supposed to override the security on the original documents, or do I have to have another (paid for) version of Adobe in order to use this facility?
If it is supposed to override the security, how can I purchase, or otherwise access Export PDF in France?
If the security settings continue to prevent any access, do I have to go to the original provider of the document to get them to change the security settings?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Perhaps someone can get on to Adobe in France to ask them to make their pages more logical?  i;e. don't invite people to buy something which apparently is not on sale here.  If it is, then please make it available on the store page.
    Thanks

    Good day,
Unfortunately, our ExportPDF service is not yet available for purchase in France.  Update: Adobe ExportPDF is available in France.
As for any security settings applied to a file, you would have to contact the file's originator to obtain the document password and remove that password within Adobe Acrobat (separate program), or obtain an unsecured version of the file.  Our service will not allow you to circumvent any security settings that have been applied to a file.
    Kind regards,

  • Automatically add InDesign metadata to Exported PDF

    Dear InDesigners,
For the studio I work it became important to make visible which person (Author) worked on a certain document as well as what the latest version of that specific document is.
It sometimes happens that clients send us a PDF file (with corrections or changes in it) of an old version of a document.  We now keep only one (latest) InDesign documents and save any changes in there, so there's no real way to notice the PDF and InDesign are different versions.
    Questions:
    1. Is it possible for a user to have InDesign automatically fill-in the 'Author' field when exporting a pdf?
    2. Is it possible to have a unique element in an exported pdf that makes it clear it connects to a specific version of an InDesign document?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Moris
P.S. I am looking into XMP, but am completely new in this, but maybe there's a solution in there?  Additional info: Management now told us, for each change made to a document an incremental document should be saved (adding _v01 and for the next change save it with_v02 and so on), and the previous version kept as it is. For the studio this means a lot of additional (manual) effort and cluttered project folders with numerous files with increasing file name sizes. I'm hoping I can prevent this...

You can add stuff manually in the File>File Info
It might be possible to script this information into the File Info
All that info will come up in Acrobat under File>Document Properties.

  • Trouble with Exported .pdf Files

I created three 20"x30" one-page documents (with iPhoto-sourced images) which saved as 24.7 MB, 19.4 MB, and 10.7 MB files, respectively. I needed to send JPEG files to my service provider for high-resolution prints. Since Pages '08 doesn't have a JPEG-export option, I exported each of them as .pdf files. My plan was to open the .pdf files in Photoshop and save them down as .jpg files. The same path had worked fine with a fourth Pages '08 layout of a 2.25"x3.75" document. With the three 20"x30" files, however, I ran into trouble.
My laptop didn't have enough memory to open the exported .pdf files in Photoshop Elements without suffering some image gray-out. I didn't think that was a problem until we discovered that my service provider couldn't open the files at all (running the current Photoshop on a souped-up system). Arghhh.
I switched to a service provider who can print straight from the .pdf files, but that also brought trouble. Though I could open the files easily in Acrobat 5.0, and they looked great, the service provider (running the current full version of Acrobat) could not open them; all he got was what looked like a blank page.
I don't think the trouble is related to file size, as the business-card document which sailed through without trouble saved as an 11.2 MB Pages file.
Could it be sheet size? That's the only thing I can figure. And why would the files open in Acrobat 5.0 without trouble, but not in the current Acrobat (or Acrobat Professional, which we also tried)?
I ended up "printing" the Pages files as "Save PDF to iPhoto," then exporting the iPhoto image as a maximum-resolution JPEG. The only trouble with that route was that the best I could get was a 200 dpi. When I went through Photoshop (instead of iPhoto) with the business card file, I ended up with a 300 dpi file.
Am I missing something obvious here? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
I don't know if this is the correct answer, but you can open a PDF in Preview and save the document as a JPEG and JPEG-2000. I know that Leopard will also have some neat functionality about this as well. You might also want to look at printing as a postscript file rather than a PDF and then open in Photoshop. I talked with a FEDEX/Kinkos employee yesterday about my book at he stated that Macs use 1.5 while Adobe's Acrobat is 1.7. Leopard should also fix this, but it may not help right now.
