Export preferences

Is there a setting where my export setting only pertain to that file so if i open another file it exports differently for example i have one file that must always be exported as a interactive PDF and the others as print PDF, each time i change this preset it effects the others and have to change it every time i export

The choice in the dropdown, I'm afraid, is "sticky."
I don't do interactive, but you might try choosing that for the first interactive file, then choose your print presets from File > Adobe PDF Presets >. I don't think it will make a difference, but it's worth trying.

JPEG export preferences problems

I have indesig cs5.5 and tryed set export resolution and jpeg color space. But in my computer i can't because this properties don't existe.
In other computer this script read ok.

What was resolution in CS4 became exportResolution in CS5 (and CS5.5). Is it possible you mapped "Adobe InDesign CS5.5" to a CS4 installation on the machine it doesn't work on?
Also: I'm not an Applescript expert (or even really competent in it), so I'm probably going to embarrass myself, but... Have you tried copying and pasting the script's contents into a new file on the machine where it doesn't work rather than running the (compiled, or whatever) .scpt file?

When I export photos from Aperture, the pixel dimensions are halved thus losing data. I have set the export preferences to export at original size, to no avail. This happens even if I just drag to the desktop and then back, or if I export into my iphoto

Dragging an Image from Aperture exports the Preview. Preview parameters are set on the Previews tab of Aperture preferences.
Are you seeing the same results when you export using one of the export commands?
Is so, confirm that the settings in the selected Image Export Preset ("Aperture➞Presets➞Image Export") truly represent those in the Image Export Preset's name.

Unicode Export Preference for RTF

I am exporting text in rtf format via javascript. How to set the rtf export preference to unicode?
For eg in text we do

Good news! There is no such option for RTF because you do not need it!
I was thinking, "If one can't change it then what does happen to non-ASCII characters? Maybe I could do a little testing?" And hey! it worked!

IDCS3 - PDF Export Preferences for Initial View?

Is there a way to set preferences for an exported PDF's initial view? I'd like my PDFs to open as single-page (not continuous), sized to Fit In Window, without changing them manually in Acrobat. Thanks for any ideas you can offer!

Acrobat XI - how to export preferences and layout?

Hi, I have to format my pc where is Acrobat XI
So, is there some way or also some unofficial trick to export all acrobat preferences and the customized layout (toolbar with tools,ecc...) ?
I'd like to restore all them after a new Acrobat XI fresh installation...

Some preferences can be found in this folder:
C:/Users/<USERNAME>/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Acrobat/11.0/Preferences
But I don't think you can export most preferences, so take screenshots of the Preferences windows before formatting your hard-drive, just in case...
Regarding signatures: It depends on the type of signature.
Some signatures are just stamps, for example those that can be created via the Sign panel on the right. You will find them in the following path:
C:/Users/<USERNAME>/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Acrobat/11.0/Stamps
Other signatures (digital IDs) can be exported by going to Edit - Preferences - Signatures, then click the More... button in the Identities & Trusted Certificates box and from there you could export the digital IDs in your computer as files.

Export preferences stopped working

Hi,
I have Gargageband 3. I am recording in Podcast and was using Garageband preferences to be ablt to export to iTunes at two different qualities, one for spoken podcast, one for musical. It was working fine, then stopped. Now it just exports to iTunes in a huge Aiff format file. Does anyone know how I can get this functioning again? Obviously, I try setting the preferences, but still no results.

Adobe CS5 Export Preferences

Hello everybody!
Is it possible to export the preferences files in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and Acrobat of the CS5 package?
If I have to reformat my computer, these preferences have already configured when reinstalling the applications.

Export preference settings - what are the differences?

Can someone explain what the differences are between Standard, High and Highest? Also,since I am exporting to a dv camera, which is supposed to be a bit for bit trnasfer, does it matter?

Reset PDF export preferences

This is for Indesign Server but applies to Indesign desktop as well.
Using javascript, I actually changed the settings of the default PDF export presets. Is there a way to reset them to the default values or do I have to reinstall Indesign?

That must be done in Acrobat.

External Editor and Export Preferences failing

I'm unable to set an External Photo Editor in the prefernces pane. When I hit the "Choose" button it greys out for a moment; nothing happens; and then it returns with no change. In addition, I'm not able to Export any photo - Original or Version.

Go through the Apple-recommended trouble-shooting steps. At the least, run "repair database". My guess is that you'll end up having to delete your user prefs as well.

Export preferences and signatures out of Adobe Pro

Hello, I am due to format and upgrade a number of laptops that have Adobe Pro installed. Whils't i can reinstall Adobe Pro we need to preserve all preferences/settings especially the signatures used to digitally sign documents. I am not 100% on the signing process but am told that we need to make sure that we can still work with existing documents that have previously been signed. Your help is appreciated. Thanks

CC - Problem with export preferences

Hi all
I have a few export presets saved as favourites, and it's only recently this has started to happen, I think when I first got CC it still worked fine but not totally sure.
My problem is that recently I've saved a new preset thats 1280x720p, as opposed to my normal 1920X1080p. I normally use the Vimeo preset, but create it as my own saved one so that it stays at the top.
So I've been exporting for previews out at the smaller size, but then when I go to create my final, and select my saved 1080p preset, nothing will change! Why is this happening? Is it some kind of bug or is there something else I should be changing? (Seems unlikely)
If I scroll down on the list of presets to get the one I've copied it does work and changes the settings, but not my own saved presets.
If I export to AME, it seems to work fine straight away, using my own presets.
What is it with premiere that means it doesn't refresh or register my own preset if I use a different one first time?

What happens if you select a different format. Like switch to QuickTime, then back to h.264, and then select you custom 1080 preset?
Also, in case you're not aware, in AME you can create not only custom presets but also aliases to system presets (or custom presets), the difference being that custom presets involve your own special settings whereas aliases simply point to a system preset. Both aliases and custom presets are displayed at the top of AME's Preset Browser under "User Presets & Groups." This area has several great benefits:
You can organize your presets to your liking, either to simply make them easier to find or to collect them in various groupings
You can apply all the presets in a group to an encoding job in one easy step, either by dragging the source to the group (from AME's Queue or, better yet, from Premiere's Project panel) or by dragging the group to the source in the Queue.

Setting Flattener preferences when exporting PDF

I'm trying to define a preset when exporting to PDF to make sure that layers transparency works properly independantly from what are the current presets in inDesign.
