Export sequence for import as media source?

Im shooting hour long HDV tapes and need to work with them in FCP as hour long, uninterrupted media files. Unfortunately, there are timecode breaks and things like that that break the media apart upon import. I've reassembled the hour long footage in a sequence and would now like to export that sequence so that it is a full quality, hour long media source I can then reimport. I need the new media file to be the identical quality of the original footage and original import. How can I do this? Thank you.

Go to File->Export->QuickTime Movie. When the export window opens, click the 'Make Movie Self Contained' button. Do NOT recompress all frames. Your exported clip will be the exact same quality as your Sequence in FCP.

Unable to export sequence and transcode in Media Encoder

Adobe CS4 Premiere Pro. I think I have done this sucessfully before and cannot remember what is different.
I have a one hour tape that I successfuly captured in its entirety and burned to DVD. I take the original footage and in the source monitor carve up the original footage into 3 to 5 minutes smaller movies (new in and out points) that correspond to the various performances. I drag the movie windows over to the assets and rename each new movie. I drag the movie to the timeline. Export media. Put in the settings h264 and ntsc dv high quality preset. Put in the output name, click ok. Adobe ME opens up but does not give me the "start queue" button. The "add" button is there but not start and when I check explorer, the output file is not created.
Would appreciate any ideas. Not a newbie but intermediate at best. Thanks. Joe. Have hardly ever been in the forum. Sorry if have not followed protocol. I am rushing to prepare a collage for my daughters wedding in 3 weeks.

I just opened up Encore and on my wedding that I encoded from Premiere Pro in Media Encoder then brought into Encore by going to Import ------- as Timeline ---- It says "UnTranscoded" in the Project panel where all of my other assets are.
Should that file be "Transcoded" already?
When I exported it from Premierer into Media Encoder I used H.264 Blu-Ray, PCM Audio and all I did was change the Target and Max Bit Rate settings.
Why is it not already "Transcoded" when I imported it into Encore.

Access Sequence For Import PO Conditions

As in case of import PO we have to add Excise condition seperately with customr vendor ID as per our regular process while maaking IMport PO we are adding 3 common condition JCV1, JECV, J1CV and after selecting those condition we are entring the tax % and then custom vendor ID for those three condition i want to make condition record lik e when user create a import PO for import PO our document type is IM and if compnay code is MS10 when user select condition JCV1 automatically from the condition record system should pick the tax % and the vednor . so how to do it,
as first w= i have to create the condition table then that table have to assign to a assecc sequext and then that assescc sequence have to be assign to condition type so in condition table which filed to be select , I am not getting filed for PO doc, type and condition type from inmaintian condition table fileds .

Best export format for importing into After Effects or even back into Premiere

The opening, featuring a ribbon of videos, was created in After Effects, using Digieffects Freeform.
The issue is the poor quality of the videos that are featured in the opening -- compared to the high quality of videos from the original Premiere project., which you can see at the end of the clip.
To create the After Effects project, I exported a series of video clips from Premiere to mp4.
Then I imported them into AfterEffects.
The bottom line, and the purpose of this question, is I am thinking that MP4 was not the best choice for the Adobe Premiere export.
What is the best format to export video from in Premiere Pro CS5 to import into after effects, or to import into any other editing program, incuding importing right back into Adobe Premiere, if that is eever needed.

Okay, here's where I stand at this point regarding exporting and/or dynamic linking between AfterEffects and Premiere.
I'm in After Effects. I create a composition I like. So I first tried the old fashioned way. I exported it into a MOV file with the animation preset. Millions of colors. Same frame rate as my Premiere project, which also uses MOV files with no problem.
Howver when I import the MOV file created by After effects, the NEW MOV file section of the premier project plays sluggish. And it also causes the videos that follow to play sluggish. And they are all MOV files at the same frame rate.
The same thing happens when I do a dynamic link between the two projects. A sluggish response starting with the After Effects dynamic link and affecting the MOV video files that follow.
It's a very short After Effects composition. About 3 second slong.
I have a very powerful computer built especially for CS5 and premiere --so that should not be an issue -- recently was in the top ten of the benchmark list.
Up to this point my video files have played perfectly layer upon layer with no problems.
Is there something I am not considering?

FCP export settings for import in iMovie '08

Q: What QT/ Compressor export settings do I need to use in FCP in order to be able to import the MOV file in iLife '08?
The reason for using iLife '08 is solely for sharing the movie to dotMac.
(if you know alternatives bypassing iMovie '08 ... be my guest).
Background:
I create my footage with a Sony HDR-HC7.
I capture the footage on my Macs (G5 and MBP) via FCP.
I edit my sequence in FCP using the HDV sequence presets
I output using FCP export to Quicktime. MOV file has HDV properties.
Funny: the captured MOV file with HDV properties can be read by iMovie '08 , the edited sequence with exactly the same HDV properties can not be read by iMovie '08 .
I tried a Compressor conversion to:
- Apple preset iTV --> no import
- Apple preset iPod video --> no import
- Apple preset m2v and m4v --> both no import
- Apple preset mp4 --> no import
iLife help mentiones that it accepts DV, mp4 and some MOV formats.

Don't have FCP v5/6 but with older FCP/FCE usually use AIC for crossover in MOV file container.

I have personally used DV, AIC, MJPEG, MPEG4, H.264 and i believe Photo-JPEG with which another individual indicated he was having problems. As to audio for these files, usually use DV, Linear PCM ("Big Endian" Integer), AAC, or even uncompressed. Avoid Apple Animation and Apple Video compression formats which will import/edit but will not correctly export. However, be advised that there are some caveats. E.g., a "Large or Full" slideshow export from iPhoto places the MPEG4/AAC data in an MOV file container which iMovie '08 will not import. However, if you use the MPEG Streamclip "Save As..." File menu option to save the same data in an MP4 file container. Therefore, would say that some problems here may be associated with iMovie '08 "pre-scanning" of files and possible minor bugs in proper error trapping on compression formats vs file containers.

Export Sequences for DVD/Continuous Play

Hello fine folks,
I've just finished my opus in FCP. It's 1 hour 45 minutes.
I edited it in 18 sequences. Now, I'm exporting into iDVD, and I want it be able to played continuously, as one long movie.
Or, of course, selectable by chapter (sequence).
Do I need to prepare my export files in FCP in a special way, or can iDVD handle it with regular (no compression) QT files?
Would you recommend I use DVD SP for this, as I have both (but am more familiar with iDVD).

Hello John,
you'll need to place your 18 sequences in a "Master Sequence" and add chapter markers for each chapter (sequence). Next export the movie to QT movie (do not use QT conversion). Make sure you check "self contained" and "include chapter markers".
Now import the QT movie into an iDVD project. In preferences, "Automatically create chapter sub-menu" should be checked.
Make sure you follow "The Rules of Chapter Markers":
- No chapter markers on or within 2 seconds of a transition.
- No chapter markers within 2 seconds of the beginning or the end of the movie.
Would you recommend I use DVD SP for this, as I have both
The route via DVDSP gives you the possibility to do the MPEG-2 compression in Compressor, meaning you'll have greater control over compression parameters, thus improving video quality on your finished DVD.

Not possible if you are just trying to find it without knowing the links between your program and the other programs. You have to know all the objects that relate to the process that your program is automating and then you can probably dig into those related programs to see if there is an EXPORT statement there. But it is not as simple as double clicking on the IMPORT statement or doing a WHERE-USED on the memory ID.

Can you tell me the probable answers for this error.
And also what access sequence do we have to maintain for the condition types that we create in M/06 transaction code.

Go to the T.Code FV11 and maintain condition records for the condition types VAT or CST with '0' Value for tax code V0 and try to post MIRO.
otherwise , Go to the Tax code V0 in FTXP and maintain '0' value for the condition types VAT or CST and save then try to post MIRO.. it will solve your pbm.

Export Limits for Multiple Sequences in the Same Sequence File for TS3.0

I am using TestStand 3.0 to a test application. Because we want to have our limits in a csv-file I have tried to use the Import/Export tools in TS. But this application only supports to export limits for the selected sequence (e.g. main, or subseq1) at a time. This makes it a pretty hard job to export limits from 30 test sequences. What I need is a possibility to export my limits from �all sequences� in my seq-file.
I have found an article on NI Dev. Zone about �Export Limits for Multiple Sequences in the Same Sequence File (TestStand 1.0.x)�.

I have tried to use this code but because it�s for TS 1.0.2 the limits from my multi num test step and my custom steptypes isn�t exported. So that doesn�t fulfill my needs.
Is there an updated version with �all sequences� added to TS 3.0? Is there other good solutions to my problem out there?

Thanks for your reply. I have already considered this solution because the source code is added in the folder described in your reply. But that is not a good solution. It will cost me a lot of time to establish the toolchain, reverse engineer the source code, make the implementations and build a new dll (most off these is already knowledge by NI). And when NI make future releases of TestStand I have some merge work to do every time NI have made some changes in the files I have changed.
But as I write above: I have hoped that NI already has/or could made a solution like the one to 1.0.2 (see link in root) to me. And then they could include it in the next version.
I don't think I am the only one in the TestStand world that ne
ed this feature.

What is the best way to setup premiere sequence for export when mixing 24fps and 23.976fps for final

What is the best way to setup a premiere sequence for export when mixing 24fps (CG) and 23.976fps (live action) for final output at 23.976 (vimeo and such).
Right now my sequence is at 24fps, and when I export to 23.976, my dialogues seem to shift.
Should I set my sequence at 23.976fps instead of 24fps?

That makes it easy. Remove the CGs from the project. Go to Edit>Preferences>Media... and set the Indeterminate Media Timebase to 23.976. Then when you import the image sequence, PP will assign it the correct frame rate.

Source files gone Offline but still exist - Can't export sequence!

Hi folks,
I'm hoping someone can help me out of a predicament, please.
I began a brief project a year or so back in FCP 3x for a friend to send to her kids. Since then it lay fallow until she brought me some new footage to add, but still have the Scratch disk intact as it was and the FCP Project files library with it. In the interim I'd upgraded the FCP Studio 3 and opened up the project in FCP 7. Strangely, some of the clips in the bin were listed as offline. I couldn't discern any pattern or reason why some clips were still linked with their raw source files and some not. In any case, I finished editing the short sequence in the timeline and went to export it to QT. I should have realized that, predictably, the exported sequence included only those segments that were not offline. I checked again and all the source clips from the camera exist, but was unable to reconnect them to the clips that access them.
For instance, the source file might be named, 100_2347.MOV, while named in the bin, ELS - Windshield Before JLM.
I'm notified that 20 of the clips are offline, but any attempt to reconnect fails. I'm not as savvy in FCP as I probably should be, otherwise this would not have happened, or I could reconstruct the actions that got me there, but I was fairly proficient on a Moviola and fluent on a Steenbeck about a 100 years ago, though.
What can I do at this point? Is there any way to force a reconnect? Manually? Will I have to start a new project re-import the clips and recut the thing? I hope I won't have to edit the thing from scratch at this point. What am I forgetting (Doh)? Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Control-click on an offline clip in your FCP Browser, and choose Reconnect Clip from the drop down menu. In the top box of the pane that opens, you should see the clip listed as offline, and the directory where FCP was expecting to find the clip.
Is FCP expecting to find the clip on a drive that you no longer have connected, or have renamed?
What happens when you press the locate button?
Don't worry that you have renamed the clip in the browser to something other than than the source file name. FCP will keep track of that.

What you have to do is to export/import the 9i database (to 9i), then upgrade to 11g.

If I understand you correctly, yes, you could write a plugin that imported an HTML file into Illustrator. You could also write one that exported to HTML. I'm not sure how easy it would be, and you won't find any HTML parsing help in the Illustrator SDK, but it's quite easy to create artwork with the SDK.

Memory Limit for "IMPORT/EXPORT from MEMORY ID" statement

Can anyone tell me whether there is any memory limit exists for "IMPORT/EXPORT from MEMORY ID" statement.
Like may be we can transfer xx MB of data via this......or it is open, we can transfer any amount of data to ABAP memory via this.

2. The programs being executed in the internal sessions can access ABAP memory
3.ABAP memory is a storage area for internal program variables like fields, structures, internal tables,,They can be passed between internal sessions of an external session.
4. you can transfer data through ABAp memory using IMPORT and EXPORT statements
5. after IMPORT FROM MEMORY ID <id> , you can use sy-subrc to check the existance of the cluster ID. here sy-subrc is not used to check whether the Import was successful or not.
