Export to an older version of premiere?

Is there a way to export to older versions of premiere from CS4?

The best that you will be able to do is to do a rough edit in the newer version, and then Export, as say DV-AVI Type II w/ 48KHz 16-bit Audio. Then, start a New Project in Pr 5, and Import that DV-AVI. Edit as necessary.

Get older version of premiere pro??

For a long time I have been trying to use Premier Pro with an Intel HD graphics 4000, and only now realise (from other websites, rather than from Adobe) that it is simply not compatible. Considering that this is a relatively new computer I'm really disappointed as Premiere Pro is one of the main reasons I invested in creative cloud. Is there anything I can do, or can you issue me with an older version of premiere pro that will be compatible?

IF you have a desktop computer and you are trying to use an Intel "chip on the motherboard" graphics adapter, you "should" be able to buy a real graphics adapter card to use

In an older computer should I install an older version of Premiere Pro for DV editing?

Hi all. I will try to make sense out of my question. I have a Pentium D, 3.60GHz 4gig ram windows 7 64bit computer. Installed I have Premiere Pro CS5. It seems to be working fine for DV editing since I do basic stuff (couple of filters, etc.). I get no drop frames and playback from the time line is decent. But I see that on the different versions of Premiere Pro, each higher version asks for higher system requirements, so I would like to know If I install on that same system lets say, Premiere CS4 or CS3, will it run faster since the system requirements are lower, or it doesn't matter since I will be doing the same thing that is editing DV material. Are the extra system requirements for example in CS6 mainly for the new high definition codecs that are supported, extra effects etc? If I install in the future CS6 will I have then lower performance that I have today for editing DV? Thank you all in advanced for your insights on this.

I'd like to see a comparison with say CS2. I tend think that your current software might run marginally faster. I warn you against going to CS6, as it seems to have higher computing overhead thus far, and there has been some issue with DV editors connecting to dv devices. I don't see where it could help your dv workflow very much.
But Dude.....,Pentium D, 3.60GHz? You could build a new PC funded solely by the electricity that you would save over 18 months. Combine that with savings from not upgrading to CS6 and join us all here in modern computing land. Editing HD natively (It will happen for you) without rendering previews, exporting to DVD and mp4 in minutes instead of hours. It is so worth it. Is this your work's or your church's system where its just not your choice to upgrade? Here at work we were finally able to upgrade to CS5 capable systems 2 years ago, and HD material had already become a big workflow issue with us, even though we were primarily working with DV. I also had to upgrade my home system to take on any freelance editing. You can rock with any modern i5 or i7 quad core, 12gb memory, and a gtx card. You could also get and AMD 6 or 8 core and maybe save a little $ there.
I just wouldn't ever consider upgrading the software before that rig.

i have a windows xp and need to download an earlier version of adobe premiere pro. where can i download CS4 and how different is it from the current version?

You cannot purchase CS4 thru Adobe if that is your intention. They provide CS4 downloads but you need a serial number to use them. There are links available for trial versions of the older versions thru the page linked below but it will only be useable for a 30 day timeframe at most as a trial.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

I want to install Premiere CS6 6.0.3 but have 6.0.5 installed. I downloaded the 6.0.3 update from this page:

Hi Randy,
Once the file is downloaded and initiate the installation you need to choose start my subscription or start trial and enter your Adobe Id and password
to activate it. If you are using CC you can download, install and activate CS6 product as well with that.

An older version of Premiere.

I currently have Adobe Premiere Elements 8 installed on my PC, I am the head editor for a podcast and youtube channel so I do most if not all for the video editing work. Premiere had been working perfectly for almost 7 or so months but recently when I set to edit new video footage taken from the game Portal 2 with the FRAPS program I received the error "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is missing". However the videos are in AVI and I haven't changed the codecs on my PC since I built it. As far as I am aware I hadn't even installed in since I built it. I was trying to open them in NTCS HD 720P 30fps. The specs of my PC are:

It would be helpful if you could upload one of your files that you can't convert to a file sharing website. Then others can download the file and work with it on their machine to see if they can convert it.

Export and import a whole older version datebase to a new one

Hi, everyone,
There is a requirement to export one Oracle database(8.0.5) and import into one database instance(Oracle 8.1.7 over WinNT). Are there any detailed procedure or check to follow for this operation? or any document and URL helpful can guide this operation.
Or anything should be carefully for different version and different OS?

You need to run your export with the older version software. In other words, use the 8.1.7 version export program if you want into import to 8.1.7. This 8.1.7 export file will also be compatible with the 8.0.5 import program, but not the other way around.
There's a compatibility matrix on Metalink. If you have a Metalink account, logon and do a search on "import export compatibility matrix".

Using latest Premiere Pro, opened older version, now all projects have older interface

I have been using the latest version of Premiere. I recently opened a project that was using an older version of Premiere (CS5 perhaps). Now when I open any new projects using that latest version of Premiere, it shows in the older version interface. Does this now mean I have the older version of Premiere Pro or is it showings the interface, yet I still have the latest version? I did not do any thing overt by updating or re-installing, just opening an older version of a project.

I use iBookAuthor to make a textbook for my students; I revised it, including title page, but when I export it and upload it to my iPad, the old title page appears, even though I've deleted the older version of the text before I upload the new one.

Last year I produced a textbook using iBookAuthor for my students. I exported it as an iBook and they uploaded it to their iPads. This year, I revised it, including revising the title page. However, when I upload the new version, the old title page is shown, not the new one. I deleted the older version of the textbook before I did this. I've been told that I can cut and paste each revised chapter into a new template and that will work; however, title page and glossary can't be cut and pasted. Any thoughts for getting the entire new version on the iPad? I'm also told that if it is uploaded to an iPad that never had a previous version of this textbook, it will upload correctly. But my iPad has had several older versions, now deleted.

I had a similar issue when trying to create an iBook file to submit for course credit for one of the Apple Learning Essentials classes I took. I had a book I'd started previously which I updated and submitted, and then had to make some edits to for the course evaluator. I made the edits, and when I previewed the book in iBooks Author, it looked correct, but whatever I sent to him only showed some of the edits - for example a new page I created was there, but some edits I made to image captions and the title page image were not.
What worked for me was to do a "Save as" of the actual Author file to a totally new location (I used the Desktop), and then submit that file - which seemed to work in terms of the changes sticking. I even used the same file name.
I'm not sure if some similar action might help you (maybe change the file name slightly?) or if you've already tried something like this.
Still doesn't change the fact that this is a pretty irritating bug.

GB exporting older version of my movie

A previous version, the wrong one, of my movie is exporting to iTunes.
I have done a few short movies, placed them in GB for music, and then exported them to iTunes just fine, until now.
I make some changes in GB, save it, export it to iTunes and when I click on it in iTunes, it plays the pervious version. I even "save as" a different file name in GB, export it, and when it's in my Movies section in iTunes, it is importing the older version.
I have also tried dragging it from the Finder menu, which the latest version is correct b/c i tested it, into iTunes and the previous version still keeps importing...and it uses the new "save as" file name, but it's incorrect.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to clear out some sort of cache?

I just ended up exporting the movie using the Expert Settings and the correct file is now in iTunes.

Exporting to Quicktime for older versions

Hello. I have a the latest version of QT and so when I export a video, it plays on my computer but not for folks running older Window versions. Is there a way I can export to a QT 6 clip without having to re-install the older version of QT therefore losing the benefits of having QT 7 myself? I export in Final Cut Pro. Would getting Quicktime 7 Pro work?

Quicktime 7 uses H264 encoding in all the presets and that means such movies require QT 7. You will have to use custom exports and choose mpeg-4 to make files that will require only QT 6. If you use Sorenson 3 then QT5 for Windows will read that. Finally, the Sorenson encoder without a number will produce video readable in QT 4 and later. If you are not up to speed on how to make customized encodings then download this pdf guide to learn how to do it. Media Encoder is rendering an older version of my Premiere timeline.

This has happened to me on a few occasions, where I have a dynamically linked After Effects comp in my Premiere timeline, the changes I make appear as they should in the Premiere timeline, but when I queue it to Media Encoder or render directly through Premiere, it renders the older version of the AE comp, as if it thinks nothing has changed. This happens even after cleaning the cache, saving a new copy and restarting premiere.
The only way I've managed to fix it, is by saving a new copy of the Premiere project file over the temp file submitted to Encoder.

Any help on how to avoid this in the future would be much appreciated!

Which version of Premiere Elements started to support video export to MP4 using the H.264 codec for compression?

That's what I wanted to know thanks. It's a really strange way to support that since you are forced to make an indirect association between a particular viewing device and a resolution and codec.
Is there any version of Premiere Elements that will let me create a custom export profile that I can name with important attributes like resolution and codec name?

Desktop exports older version of EXCEL

discoverer desktop is exporting the output in older version of Excel. same report when opened and exported in plus it is exporting in current MS Excel version. any clues why its happening so ?? is this a settings issue? is this desktop version issue?? any thoughts would be really appreciated
on my machine, i have Microsoft Excel 2003
my discoverer desktop version: 10.1.2.1
Desktop client : 10.1.2.48.18
we are having issues with this older version of exported excel output, so please advice me on this issue.

after looking at your replies i could say that my question is not explained clearly, let me explain this properly
first and foremost
1. i have Microsoft office 2003 running on my machine, it is running good with out any kind of problem.(+here i confirm my excel is good+)
secondly coming to Discoverer
1. reports are running fine in Discoverer Desktop and PLUS(+here i confirm while running the reports+)
2. when i export the output from PLUS, it exports fine, i can edit, i can modify and save the exported spreadsheet without any issue.(+here i confirm my output from PLUS is good+)
3. when i export the output from desktop, it exports ok but when i try to edit and save it, it will give a message as below
+"xx_disco_workbook.xls is a Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 workbook.do you want it to overwrite it with latest excel format "+
if i click yes it is saving in 2003 excel, but my question is why did Discoverer desktop export excel 5.0/95 ?? not sure from where and how is this version getting exported??
