Export to clipboard returns only integer
Hi ,
I've seen a stange data ouput when I use the "Export Data to Excel" function on a Graph indicator.
Using the VI in attachment I can simulate some data. After that I right clicked the graph and try to read the data in Excel.
However That is what I got in Excel:
But the 2 and 4 Column should be double but I got the data in Excel seemingly in the form of integer.
How does it comes and how can I get the original double values?

Hi,
You are right, this is incorrect behaviour.
I filed a CAR - Corrective Action Request reference number #399104.
If fixed in a later version you will find this number listed in the fixes.
meanwhile you can work around using a "write to ascii file" function with the Data you are writing.

[xml]$xmlResult=$QueryResult.content
foreach($obj in $xmlResult.feed.entry.content.properties)
$Name=$obj.Name;
$IsAvail=$obj.isAvail.'#text';

I am exporting the above result as a CSV file and my CSV file contains only 2000 records.
But, $xmlResult.feed.Count --> it Shows 4000 Records.
The same Odata url if I give in excel oData Data feed I am getting all the 4000 records.
So Please help me how can I get all the records using power shell.

Would you please also post code which is used to export the records?
In addition, to use the cmdlet invoke-RestMethod to work on ODate feeds, please refer to this article:

How to return a integer from Userdefined function????
Hi All,
I have an Userdefined funtion which is getting an integer value from a RFC call. Now I want to pass this int value to a target field of type int. The problem I am facing is Userdefined function can only return String value and I have tried the Container also, but no result.
Any views on how to handles this issue
Regards,
RaksRaks,
just return the integer as a string. There should be no problem. Use:
return String.valueOf(a);

I'm working on a custom Discrete Job Picklist and am trying to return the locator with the least amount of the item that is required to pick. This is working fine except when the minimum is not distinct.
Here's the bit of code that I'm working with:
and d.total_qoh = (select min(f.total_qoh)
from apps.mtl_onhand_locator_v f
where d.item = f.item)
This returns the mins but give me duplicates when the mins are the same. I'd like to return only 1 min locator per item. I've tried using a select distinct, but this does not work.
Ideally, I'd like to use the min(locator_id) to determine which locator to use should the min(total_qoh) be non-distinct.
I've tried using:
and d.total_qoh = (select *(select min(f.total_qoh)
from apps.mtl_onhand_locator_v f
where d.item = f.item
order by d.locator_id)
where rownum = 1)
But I don't think that order by is allowed in 8.1.6.1 and so it is not working. Likewise, I can't seem to get TOP N to work.
Any suggestions?
-Tracy

order by b.wip_entity_name, e.segment1, e.segment2, e.segment3, e.segment4; Thanks for any help you can offer.
-TracyRichard - this is yielding ora-00904: invalid column. Although I have verified that the column names are correct. I think this may have something to do with not allowing an order by in a subquery for 8.1.6.1 but am not positive. It seems that I either get an invalid column name or missing right parenthesis when using order by in the subquery.
and d.locator_id = (select locator_id
from (select locator_id
from apps.mtl_onhand_locator_v
where d.padded_concatenated_segments = f.padded_concatenated_segments
order by total_qoh desc, locator_id desc)
where rownum = 1)

Export to text file only one big page
We currently have an application that was developed in VB6 that calls a number of Crystal Reports RPT files. These Crystal Reports RPT files were developed in Crystal Reports 6. The problem is that when exporting to TXT format only 1 big page is shown with 1 header, but the report contains multiple pages and headers. When exporting to other formats such as PDF and RTF, the pages and headers are shown correctly.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Will.Hi William,
What version are you developing in now?
Does it work the same in the Reprot Designer as in code?
Thank you

Request.getParameter("checkbox") Returns only one value
Hello Friends,
I have a very urgent problem on live site. I moved my project from jrun2.3.3 to Jrun 3.1 and I was using multiple select and checkboxes.
With Jrun3.1 if you select multiple select or multiple checkboxes it returns only one value instead of all the values.
Any help is hightly appreciated.If multiple checkboxes have the same name, when selected and submitted, it will pass all values. But you will need to access those using getParameterValues("checkboxname") not getParameter("checkboxname"). The same goes for select elements.
Perhaps it was a bug in JRun 2.3.3 that allowed you to reference all parameter values using just the getParameter("xxx") method. -
Return only one record at a time
I am new to crystal reports so any help would be appreciated. I have a .net app that is a order processing system. When the user is in a record, they want to be able to click on a button an open a crystal report showing only that orders details. I created a crystal report that has the following fields:
Order ID, Product ID, Unit Price, Sell Price, Hours.
The Order ID is the primary key in the database. The report runs fine when clicking the report button in the app, but returns the details for every order in the database. We just need the details of the order that the user is processing. How do I setup the report to only show that order's details? I am using VB 2005 and Crystal v9.
Edited by: sking on Mar 6, 2009 1:12 AMBrian,
Thank you for all your help. I have been able to setup the report to return only one record at a time. In my app, when I click the report button the PDF opens perfectly with only one record. However, when I go to another record and open the PDF it returns the information from the record id that was set as the default parameter value (crReportDocument.SetParameterValue("Orders", 67). How do I get it to return the report for a different record? Here is the code I'm using. I think I'm really close with your suggestions but I'm just missing one step.

Dg4odbc 11.2 to mysql desc table issue, query return only one record
<h2>Hi,
I have the following set up:
11g R2 RAC oracle database, dg4odbc 11.2, UnixODBC 2.3 driver manager, MySQL ODBC 5.1.7 Driver on 64 bit Suse SLES 11 server.
Remote database MySQL version 5.0.67 running on 32 bit linux server.
I am having the following Issues:
1. When desc table, sometimes only the first field is shown:
SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
Some other times I am able to see the correct table definition:
SQL> desc "sub_index"@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
sess_id NUMBER(10)
sess_yr NUMBER(10)
subject_name VARCHAR2(255)
SQL> desc sub_index@mybilltracker;
Name Null? Type
subject_id NOT NULL NUMBER(20)
2. Select count(*) returns the total number of rows correctly. Select * or Select "field name" from table returns only one row:
SQL> select count(*) from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker;
COUNT(*)
2
SQL> select "user_id", "email" from "mbt_user"@mybilltracker; _(always return only one record!)_
user_id email

Has anybody seen this? Can somebody help me pinpoint the problem? Thank you!

Returning only records that have no entry in a specific field
Hello,
I'm new to this forum and relatively new to Crystal Reports, so I apologize if this information is "plain as day" somewhere. I've been hunting for this info for quite a while and can't find anything that makes sense!
I am trying to put together a very simple report that will return only records where a certain field is blank.
It is an Access database, in an information management program specific to our type of business. CR 11 software was included with the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), as the reports generated from the LIMS software are in CR. I've learned enough to be able to tweak reports and make some basic reports, but I can't find a simple answer to what I think is a simple question!
I have the report set up to access the following fields in the database: Invoice number, Client name, Due date, Invoice amount, and Payment Received. This will be used as a "cross check" - not as any major accounting tool - as the Payment Received field is simply the date that the payment was received. If no payment has been received, the field is left blank.
I want the report to return ONLY those records where that field is blank (i. e. a list of invoices/clients whose payment has not yet been received).
Ideally, I would also like to be able to return only those records where that field is blank OR within a certain date range (i. e. less than 30 days from the date that the report is run). However, we'll probably only use this report a couple of times a month, so that is not as critical.
I know I need to filter the records according to the Payment Received field, but don't know how to construct a formula that says "just show the fields where there is nothing entered."
Thank you!
BrendaThis is the hardest function to find: IsNull
If isNull(field) then
// if the above fails on a numberic field or text field then see the following two-some databases are picky.
If IsNull(field) or field=0 then //this one maybe needed for a numeric field
If IsNull(field) or field="" // this one maybe needed for a text field
if IsNull(field) or field=<value>
or
if IsNull(field) or field like <value*>
You always want the IsNull statement to be the first statement, and it is especially usefull when testing for not equal
If IsNull(field) or field <> <value> -
Windows 8.1 PC, using reader, when searching a folder containing approx 100 doc's. If i search for a word, no results are returned. only the doc names can be found but nothing from within the doc.
This is a new problem and was not the case before.Works perfectly fine for me with the latest Reader version (11.0.09).
You write that it worked "before"; before what? An update? Update from what version to what version? -
In Aperture 3 when I right click on an image I am able to 'create new version from original' which suggests that the original is there. When I try to export the original I only get a .jpg with the XMP file. These particular images are from 2010, has the RAW file become disconnected somehow? Please, how do I get access to the RAW file for editing in Ps? Thank you. Thomasrevil.
Sorry leonie, 'Use RAW as Original' is not an option for the image shot with the Canon.
Then your Import settings must have been different, when you imported the Canon photos.
You can check, if there is still a hidden raw file somewhere. If the image has been imported as a pair, you should see the "J" badge in Browser and Viewer, if you enable badge overlays. This indicates a pair, with the jpeg as original.
Select one of those images, and then relocate the original files "File > Relocate original" to a folder, where you can inspect it. Use "File > Show in Finder" after ward. Look, don't touch .
Then put it back, using "File > Consolidate".
Do you see your raw files in the folder, or is only a jpeg there? -
Exporting to Excel data only using sub reports in Crytal 9
Post Author: pmstar
CA Forum: Exporting
I am using Crystal 9 verision.
I have .rpt file that used 4 sub reports .In the main report I placed all the sub reports in the(detail section) row and using the data for some caluculation in the main report to generate report fields.I placed the main report fields in next row( in detail section).However when i export the report .Its generating 5 empty rows and 3 rows with 0. I have pretty much followed the solution from the article "c2017620" published in BO.
Since i used the sub reports only to get some value for main report calculations .Is there any workaround for the following issue
1.I do not want to print the subreport data when exported to excel data only.
2.how can i get rid of the blank rows
We have a lot of reports which has the same issue and we need to get the reports to work in Excel Data only .The reports works perfect when used in PDF format but its mandatory that we need to give the reports to the client using Data only.
If possible, when responding with your recommendations, please include detailed steps. It would be very helpful.Thanks in advance,

CA Forum: Exporting
Hi,
Of what i gather from ur scenario...this is what i did in one of my reports.
I had to use two subreports and they had to occupy one cell each, in line with other fields.
To obtain that,all the fields required in the subreport i put them into a text box.Therein restricting the fields to the txt box only...
Then import that sub-report as it is.
It worked for me....
try out...
All this only if've understood u right... -

The other plug ins appear in my applications folder, but I get the error message at the start of this post...I can us, say, Silver Efex stand alone, but I want to use as a plug in...can anyone help please..?
Hi,
