Export to email.

Hi.
Sorry if you find my question stupid but I've just switched from Lightroom which works a bit differently. Question - does Aperture store anywhere pictures sent by email? In lightroom I had to export to jpg first and then email. In Aperture the process is soooo much easier and quicker. I'm just a bit concerned what happens to those jpgs after they're sent. Really would like to avoid wasting my disk space.
Thanks,
Syfon

    Hi kellyo68596735,
That capability is a function of PDFMaker, which is currently only available on Windows.

  • OS 10.6 and LR - crash with export to email

Just upgraded to Mac OS X 10.6 and happened to use Lightroom's export to email preset when I experienced a crash.  Never used that preset previously so I can't say that it performed without problems on 10.5.8 and earlier versions.  Wanted to see if anyone else has experienced crashes of LR since upgrading to 10.6
    Thanks,
    E

I had a similar problem.  I was exporting to JPEG and LR crashed.  That's the least of worries.  Every app i've opened so far in snow leopard has crashed one way or another.  Waste of 30 bucks so far!

  • When I export an email as a PDF it only displays the sender details not the content

I normally export any email I wish to save as a PDF, for some reason a tax receipt I've just received, when exported as PDF, displays only as the sender's details, i.e. name, address, date sent etc.
I've tried saving as RTF and converting but when it converts to PDF it moves the formatting around so figures aren't in one column anymore. Has anyone experienced this and solved it? Thanks.

I'm seeing the same, when I try to export as PDF. It looks like Mail were formatting and scaling the mail like formatted in the Browser Window and all content is on the following pages of the document. So a simple Mail will be spread across several PDF pages.
I get better results when opening the mail in a separate window (⌘O) and then using the "Print" button in the toolbar of the window. Then I can access the settings for the paper size and ensure it is A4 and the paper handling settings and enable "Scale to fit".
Then click the "PDF" button to save to a PDF file.

  • Exporting to email different email client?

Is there anyway to select which application Final Cut Pro X exports the email to?  By default is appears to be Mac Mail but we would like to switch it to Outlook.

    Mark:
First repair disk permissions. Then, if needed, delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. See if either of those will help.
Next, create a test library, import a few photos and try emailing. If it emails OK then the primary library is the culprit. In that casedownload and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, putting your administrator login name, long or short, in the owner and group sections. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field. Try again.
Lastly, if you boot into Safe Mode and still cannot email you may have to reinstall iPhoto.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Trouble exporting to Email

Lightroom closes every time I tried exporting to email. I'm using WIndows 8.1

    What is your operating system?
    What is your email client?
How do you try to attach a document to your email; from your scanner software, from Adobe Reader, from your email client?  Can you post a screenshot of the error you get?
Also, what is the update you installed: to the OS, to the email software, to Adobe Reader?

    Hello carolsuz,
I was researching ways you might be able to save that email to a picture or export it and found this little gem in the iPhone Users Guide, found here: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf about how to take a screenshot.
Its on page 12 toward the middle:
Take a screenshot: Press and release the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. The screenshot is added to your Camera Roll album.
    Take care,

  • How to Transport/Export GP Email Template

    Hi, SDN Fellow.
I have created a GP transport package from GP Design Time> Administration> Transport.
The transport went well, and all the process instances & dependencies are included in the checklist.
Since I am using a few custom email templates in couple callable objects. I don't really see them in the transport check list.
My question: Is the transport also includes the email templates I created and used in the CO that included in the transport package?
If not, how do I export the email templates?
    Thanks,
    KC

    Macro,
I was not sure at the beginning, since I could not see it in the transport check list.
    Thanks for your confirmation.

  • Exporting to email

iPhoto seems to be working in every way except for the fact that exporting to email does nothing. It seems as if it is compressing the photos for a few seconds but then all activity stops and my "Mail" program never opens or if open never creates a new email window. What might be happening and how can I get the export to email function to work?
    I'm running a dual 2.7 G5 and OS 10.4.10.

  • Exporting / Importing email in Mac Mail

Hello. I needed to know how to export my emails in the native mac mail program and then how to export them. I have a new 160GB hd, and wanted to make sure I could switch them over a'ok.
    Thanks, -- Kenny

Mail stores messages in .mbox format. You can export the mail by simply dragging any mailbox from the left side bar to the Desktop. It can then be imported by any mail program that supports the mbox format.
You can import from many different formats by opening Mail and selecting Import from the File menu.
Get assistance by selecting Mail Help from Mail's Help menu. This is the same as most all Mac applications.

  • Password Protect Report Exports and Email

    Hi there
My client's requirement is to automatically run, export and email reports with the report output (excel/word/etc) having password protection. Think this is possible with BI publisher, but wondering if there is any nifty way of doing this with Discoverer. For example now Discoverer is integrated with BI Publisher does this mean it's possible by creating report in Disco (potentially) then using BI Pub to automatically run, export and email results with pwd protection? Any other ideas??
This is an eBusiness Suite environment, Disco version 10.1.2, eBusiness Suite version 11.5.10 (they also have 11.5.8, but we don't believe we'll be doing this solution on tha environment).
    Cheers, Kate

    Hi,
I don't think there is any easy solution to this, but what we do at this site is schedule the Discoverer reports to run using the eBusiness Suite Concurrent Manager. We use dedicated Discoverer workstations to run the Discoverer exports and these could also be used to email the report if this was a requirement.
There is an article on my website (www.cabotconsulting.co.uk) about scheduling Discoverer reports using the Applications 11i concurrent manager and you can also search this forum for scheduling and email for information on how to email reports.
    Hope that helps,
    Rod West

  • HT201317 export or email video

why can't I export or email a video from photos?

As for emaiing, you best check with your email service provider/ISP: they usually all have a maximum for email attachments (I beleive Yahoo's is 25 MB). It is also not a good idea to email such a large file unless you know that your recipient has a fast connection: in my case, it would take 20 - 30 minutes for 1 GB to download.
Here is some info from the Wistia website - check it and contact their support to make what you are producing is compatible and can be uploaded from a Mac:

  • How do I create an event (LEOPARD) then export for email?

I want to create an event, export in leopard, then email with an alarm for someone on a MAC using TIGER. Tried this but it exported the whole calendar. Please advise.
    Thanks

Depends upon what you want to do in the eventhandler. this is what you can do
Store the result set from the Select to a user variable.
Pass this user variable to a Script task.
In the Script task do whatever you want to do including failing the package this can be done by failing the script task, which in turns fails the package. something like
    Dts.TaskResult = Dts.Results.Failure

  • How to export sent email from n8?

    Hi,
I'm using the standard email application on my N8 (no Anna yet) with a POP3&SMTP account. I need to export the messages I sent with my N8. They are stored in two "sent" folders
I need to import these messages into the email software on my computer or an email account on a server.
How is that done? I could not find any export tool in the Nokia Suite, the PC Suite or N8 itself. There is a "Best MessageStore" app in the Store, but it only creates plaintext or CSV files, which I can't import anywhere.
I could use an IMAP folder, but I could not find a way to change the current setup from POP3/SMTP to IMAP. I can create a new account with new folders on the phone, but then I don't know how to copy the old email messages into that new IMAP folder.
Furthermore, I tried importing the email messages to a Nokia N9, but the import routine seems to ignore email messages.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you!

Belle is the first version that lets you move items out of the Sent folder into other folders.
The Suite will take a backup of your message store before upgrading to Belle and restore it afterwards. You could then move items in the Sent into other IMAP folders.
You also might find NbuExplorer on Sourceforge.net useful, it allows you to look inside the backup files taken by Nokia Suite. You could backup the message store and examine it without needing to upgrade to Belle if you're not upgrading for a reason.
Your messages are stored in C:\Private\1000484b but you don't have permission to view them yourself with the File Manager unless you've jailbroken first.

  • Exporting 400 emails and merging into 1 pdf

I have to export 400 or so emails from Mail into one PDF document to enter into evidence for a legal case. Does anyone know how I would go about this? Many thanks in advance for the loan of your esteemed brains.
Message was edited by: Living In A Box

You could try this, and it's probably better if you have these messages stored offline. (A bit quicker)
In Mail, select all the messages you wish to 'export'.
Create a new mail - it doesn't have to have an address.
Click in the main body of the mail (the message section.)
If all your mails are still selected, go to 'Edit > Append Selected Messages'.
This should add your selection to your new mail, though it might take some time with 400 messages.
Now choose to print this mail.
In the print dialogue box at bottom left, you should see a button marked 'PDF'. If you click on this, you'll see an option to 'Save as PDF'

  • Exporting for email

Can someone tell me the best way to export a movie to be sent via email?
I have made a short showreel (2 minutes) for an actor's agent who wants to distribute it via email. I followed the path:
File > Export > Using Quick Time conversion...
In the Format drop-down I chose QuickTime Movie
    In the Use drop-down, I chose Broadband-High
The resulting file was 11MB – way too big for emailing. I was hoping for less than 1MB.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

    none ..
no, kiddin' .. but: eMail has often a restriction in size.. small files=low quality.. and, when mailed, files come to reciever often as 'data', but not as clickable video.. and does the reciever has the codecs for playback... and comes the file as mov, what about Windows users without QT4Windows.. etc.etc.etc.
best practice _for me_ is, usage of YouTube or vimeo.com - they allow 'HiDEf' video and you send by mail just the tiny url of your video.. mark it as 'private', and your audience isn't anymore 7.4 billion...
another option is: when it comes to low birates, QT soon comes to its benchmarks..
export as intermediate a 'full sized' file.
use free (Ian, it's free! internal joke) tool iSquint for conversion.. play with ist experts settings and manually set the bitrate.. => for me, low bitrates with iSquint look much better than any QTencoded files (iSquint uses its own algorithms).
