Export to excel iview table data of a standard application with out BAPI
Hi All,
I am Editing Standard Application. In that i need to add a button, on clicking that the data present in that iview table to be exported to excel.
The table contains editable & non editable fields. The context attributes are under in different nodes. OADP is used to get all the attribute values of the table.
We have faced problems in identifying OADP attributes. Because of this, we have used seperate BAPI to group all the attributes of the table. By using this BAPI, We are successful in exporting the table data to excel
Could you please provide a solution to export the table data to excel from iview directly with out going to BAPI.
Thanks,
Hi Challa,
We have a similar requirement and are not able to find the node or attributes of the planning table.
Can you let us know how you went about doing this? Which are the nodes or attributes? Any help is appreciated..
Thanks & Regards,
Malita Fernandes

venkata.Hi Prabhu,
Since it is a Custom Fm i cant see it in my system.
Look if u want to bring data in internal table then there could be two ways::
1) your FM should contain itab in CHANGING option , so that u can have internal table of same type and pass through FM,
2) read values one by one and append to internal table.
Thanks

Partitioning is possible with data(1 lakh records) or with out data
partitioning is possible with data(1 lakh records) or with out data...if with data, its compulsory to stop database..and its not possible to stop, but i want to partitioning my table for increase the performance...what can i do please help me.
"lahk" is not an internationally recognised term. Please use terminology that is recognised internationally.
You could create a table with partitioning, copy your data into it, then drop the original table and rename the new one to the old name (bear in mind any indexes on it), though this isn't ideal if you have primary/foreign keys etc.
Also, ensure you are licenced to use Partitioning. It is installed as part of the database as standard, but you have to have additional licence to actually use it in production. -

AgesIf the value is not of importance how come it became obligatory in your program?
Any how you can do one thing...Put some value in your obligatory field, put a debugger point where you are interested in and use the pencil tool to change the value of the field while debugging.

How to Insert Data in Database using BCS with out External List
Hi,
How to Insert,Update and Delete User Interface data using business connectivity service with out External List. Please suggest me solution.
Regards,
khadarOnce you've configured the external content type, you can interact with it using the BDC Object Models available to you. You can use server side or client side and interact with the database without an external list.
Check these links:

Export and import a table data
Hi All,
There is table abc which is having appprox 40lak records without partitions(and have dmp of this data). Due to space constraints I want to compress the data and put it in archive schema.
My question is:
1) Can we import the data into other schema(say: archive schema) in compressed mode. If so could you please let me know the syntax for that.
2) Can we import the data into some temporary table(say: temp) in same schema?
3) And if any blob column exists in table then can we import the data without this blob column data.(Supposing the export dump has the blob data).
Is it possible, or whould we export without this blob column and import this to other table?
Please help me out.
Edited by: user11942774 on 4 Dec, 2011 10:33 PMThanks Mahir,
Could you please let me know the syntax or with any examples if possible.
is it possible to drop any column say blob column after the table is in compressed mode?

Table data needs to be displayed with horizontal and vertical lines
Hi,
I need to display the data of the table in the SAP script which is having both horiziontal and vertival lines.
the out put needs to looks as it in Excel...where there are multiple records with 5 fixed coulmns each seprated from one another by horizonalt and vertical lines..
Can you let me know how to proceed in SCRIPT ,,,, where the number of records might vary ..and also ..it might continue to second page..
Regards
Senthilwell it is possible but quite tricky.
All you got in SAP-SCRIPT to achieve this is the BOX-Statement.
The BOX statement works with variables for XPOS, YPOS, WIDTH and HEIGHT. what you need to do is:
- calculate those variables during runtime
- add box-statements with those variables.
to calculate those variables you need to count used lines and so on. i hope i showed you a way, rest is a lil brainwork then.

Export to Excel - Multiple Tables in a single details section
Hi All,
I have a set of reports where I am using a single details section to show multiple tables stacked over one another. That is, i have a table with three columns and two rows, followed by some white space and then another table with 4 columns and 1 row, followed by white space and then other tables.
When I export it to excel, I am getting the data but the ordering is in a reverse pivoted fashion:
Excel output:
CR_column1_Heading CR_Column2_Heading CR_Column1_Data CR_Column2_Data
Is there a way to control the sequence of fields displayed in excel while exporting?
Thanks.
- Atif.@Carl,
It is printing like this.
HEADER1 HEADER2 HEADER3 DATA 1 DATA 2 DATA 3
I am getting all the columns and fields in excel, that is not a problem. However, the problem is whether i can control the order the fields are printed onto Excel.
Like what Ben is commenting:
HEADER1 DATA 1 HEADER2 DATA 2 HEADER3 DATA 3
However, I dont want to reorder the fields on the canvas as the format layout is predefined.
I tried searching through the Cystal SDK if there is a finer level of control but to no avail.
A work around under the above constraints would be simply amazing!
Thanks again and appreciate your response.
Regards,
Atif. -

Moderator message: wrong forum, please post again in "Web Dynpro ABAP".
Edited by: Thomas Zloch on Oct 29, 2010 1:39 PMEach table having different sheet in same CSV file .
A CSV file is a flat file and don't have "Sheets"; you would have to Export to an Excel file, which supports several Sheets in one file.
