Export to FLV not available

We have Quicktime Pro on two machines: G5 dual core and a Mac Pro. On the Mac Pro there is available in the Export menu a Movie to Flash Video (FLV) option. This option is not appearing on the G5. All other formats are available. Why? Thanks for the help.

Export to FLV (like export to WMP formats) is added by third party software to the QuickTime export menu.
Since they are third party you would first need to install that software before the options could be found in QuickTime.
Export to WMP is done via http://flip4mac.com and it allows "demo mode" (30 second limit) during the trial and full exports after you purchase an upgrade.
Export to FLV is (was) done with an install of Flash 6 (and higher). I don't know if that component is yet Universal (Intel CPU aware).
My machine also includes an Export to MPEG which was added by an old install of Toast.
So. Now you know how it got there and why the menus are different on different machines.

Flash Export from Quicktime not available

Just installed Flash 8 on my mack book pro (os 10 .4.9) but
the option to export to .flv from quicktime pro is not coming up in
the menu. Does anybody know why this is not appearing. The
component is installed but not showing up in quicktimes pull down

I am having the same problem. Except I had installed CS3 and
I had encoded quite a few quicktime files to FLV. Then today for no
reason the flv option is gone from the quicktime menu. I haven't
done anything different from yesterday to today. I installed the
new version of Mac os X last week but that didn't change anything
in my quiktime. So I am really getting annoyed at this and really
don't have time to be chasing ghosts all day.... You know you just
want your tools to work when you pay for them... So if anybody has
any info that would be great.

Export as FLV not in menu

In my final cut pro 6 there is no option to export as FLV. Why doesn't it show up? When I look how to export as FLV on google it says it should be there. Thanks

Emerson might mean Telestream's Episode. It used to be called Compression Master by Popwire, but T-Stream owns them now, and it's supposed to be pretty awesome...with a Flash (flv) option.

Excel export option is not available?

Hello All,
We are using Crystal X1 viewer to view report in IBM WebSphare environment. It is working perfectly except one issue.
When we click an export button it open another pop up window where the export file format can be selected. there are options to export in
1. RPT
2. PDF
3. RTF
but no Excel option.
Is there is setting or coding that need to be adjusted.? if it is the case then please let me know where.

Actually the link you provide is for Eclipse 2.0. I am using Crystal Report X1 Version=11.0.3300.0.
I have down loaded an other Version=11.5.3300.0. With this version, I got one extra option to export which is "Microsoft RTF(edit) " but not Excel option.
further investigation found that the difference is b/w two version is coming from CrystalExporters.jar.
I tried to loo properties file but could not figure it out.

MSS Reports Local File (export to) icon not available for some reports

Check out this link. This might help. The value set in ~WEBGUI_SIMPLE_TOOLBAR determines the button displayed on portal. Check the authorization provided to end user . The visibility of buttons depend upon authorizations as well.

Exporting not available

I recently created a skudeshow out of still images and added music. I saved it as a self contained movie. I want to export it so that I can post it on youtube and eventually put it on my blog, however, the export option is not available. What can I do, so I can acess the export settings for this particular file?

Don't use iTunes purchases in your slideshow. That music may contain DRM protection that prevents sharing.

My environment is Business Objects XI 3.1 SP2 Edge series , i have below quereis with web Intelligence Reports
1. not available the functions/options Results from another Query(Any) or Results from another Query(ALL) at Query Level.
2. not getting list of Values for pronpt until i refresh values for prompt?
Please suggest me is there any fix packs available for the same to availle that functionality.

There is option called "Automatic refresh before use" for the object properties available in the universe designer.
Please check the box for the object you are using for populating the list of values and export the universe.

There is a limitation for the query on query functionality that the both the queries can-not be from the OLAP universe.
I guess the query which needs to be filtered should be built on universe from the relational data base.

Flv export still not available after upgrade

After upgrading to Flash CS3 the option to export to flv is
still not available on my Intel Mac from Quicktime Pro or Final Cut
Pro 5.1.14. I upgraded with the understanding that the new version
would be universal binary and would offer this ability that was
there on PPC Macs. Is anyone else having this problem?

Well i solved it my self i just reinstalled the upgrade v30.0.018 and it works just fine now :-D

Excel-Export in ALV-Grid not available

Thanks for info - I was original thinking of the "Expert mode" option in some Report Writer outputs... but that was a different issue...
Is it user specific or PC specific? If the former, you might like to look in table SALV_BS_ADMIN (which can be maintained via report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN) as this can impact what the user sees in some ALV options - we were having problems a few weeks ago on an ECC5 system in this area - Note 1080608 and others explain more.

You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks).
If you can't find them in the "From Internet Explorer" folder then try this:
Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export<br />
Import the HTML file in Firefox 3: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

I am getting an error when I try to export a .move Quicktime file. I have been able to successfully export movies in the past, however, I can no longer do this.I tried reinstalling and updating CS4 and Quicktime, but no luck.
I go File > Export > Quicktime, and get the following error:

This happens when I try to export a movie from Flash CS4. I've reinstalled CS4 and Quicktime, and it seems that Flash still cannot recognize Quicktime (Pro).
Quicktime opens just fine separately, any thoughts?

Most of the content editing of a PDF is to be done for minor changes with the Text Edit tool or for other changes by exporting object to either PhotoShop or Illustrator. I think the content editing process you are expecting is not available in Acrobat. If you want to save it as a PPT file, try the Save As To option in the file menu.

Movie export size not available/balance between size and quality

Hi,
I imported some film into iMovie 08 from my Canon HD camcorder, at full 1920 x 1080 size. After I finished editing it, I wanted to export the final movie at 960 x 540. This size is not available under the "standard" share options ("large" is 1280 x 720 and "medium" is I can't remember what exact size but smaller than 960 x 540). Similarly, when I go into "Export using QuickTime" and try to create an H.264 movie there, the 960 x 540 option simply isn't available. What gives?
The reason I wanted to use this size was to try to cut down on file size. I exported the movie at 1280 x 720 and got a 380Mb file. So I wanted to try it at 960 x 540 and see what difference that made to the file size and quality. Since I couldn't seem to do it using iMovie, I ended up taking the 1280 x 720 video and using ffmpegx to convert it to 960 x 540. The problem is that I ended up with a file that was, bizarrely, even bigger (384Mb), and that had a thin green line across the bottom of the video.
So, in summary, my three questions are:
1. Why can't I export from iMovie in 960 x 540?
2. Why does my ffmpegx conversion result in an even bigger file?
3. What's the best way for me to get the optimum balance between file size and quality? (For viewing on Apple TV/HD television).

Another very good 3rd party slideshow application is PhotoPresenter. It has some of the nicest themes I've seen in any slideshow application (including the Apple TV introduction theme) and will export to a variety of sizes up to 720 x 480 which is DV-DVDCPRO - NTSC.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
