Export to iPod options

Choosing to 'Share' an iMovie (with chapters) to iPod still results in only 320x240 resolution but keeps chapters in the final output. Using the Export/Expert Settings/Movie to iPod option (which I assume is using the latest version of QuickTime to do it as opposed to the functionality built in to iMovie 6.0.3) delivers a 640x480 resolution file but removes chapters.
Any ideas on how to export to iPod/640x480 h.264 without losing my chapters or will waiting for an update to iMovie be required?
I have QT Pro but any export from it deletes all chapters. Very frustrating...

choose Expert Settings, Export - Movie to iPod
With the "Share" to iPod, it delivers 320x240 since iMovie has not been updated and not aware of the new settings. QuickTime, however, had been updated for this and that is what performs the export via Expert settings.
I'll assume no changes will occur with iMovie until the next, big release (whenever that may be)
Can you give more details on the Expert Settings that
you used to export in 640x480?

Exact settings for Export to iPod in QT pro ?

I used export to ipod option with QT pro and it works great but ... it's damned too long.
And there is no access to the original settings.
I would like to play with the export to MPEG4 settings to make it faster but I need to know first what are these original settings that are used in this export to ipod option.

It works fine with QT pro and its Export to iPod option.
But it's very long.
I think it may be doing 2 pass.
And I think 1 would be enough, all other considerations being OK.
There is no way to tune this option since it comes with no possibility to change the settings.
So, what I want to do is use the MPEG4 option and change its settings to the iPod's one minus 1 pass.
But I need to know what are the exact iPod settings used by Qt pro.
Not the ones that are recommended everywhere.

Keynote Exports to iPod

I have posteed this to Keynote Feedback, but maybe someone else has an answer:
I'm not sure if this is a Keynote problem or an iPod problem, but when exporting a Keynote 08 with narration (either through GarageBand or iTunes), the final m4v file won't play properly on an iPod. Many slides will only play part of the audio then go silent until the next slide comes on. The files, both the .mov files and the converted .m4v files, play perfectly on the computer, but when copied to the iPod, they show this problem. I have tested it on two different video iPods.

I'm also experiencing the same problem; including the GarageBand and iTunes. The Export to iPod is a nice options for a recorded presentation if it works ... but it most definitely isn't for me.

Ok, so after browsing the forums for a while, I seem to have an unusual and inverse problem to most of you;
iTunes functions fine as far as music goes, but any attempt to enable the 'enable disk use' tickbox, or any of the others in the iPod options for that matter, appears to work... But no new drive enumerates in My Computer (no, I've got no network drives contending for the drive letter as is a windows issue), and after disconnecting (manually making the device safe to remove first) and reconnecting the device, all settings I altered are returned to as they were. I've had this iPod for less than a day, and would rather like to carry photos and work files on it too!
I've tried all five of the suggested five R's, though I can't perform the last of them as the updater/restorer tool (yes, the 2006-03-23 - it's what came with my ipod) says it can't mount the ipod - I guess this is because the ipod isn't to be found in my computer.
Just one final quirk, when I first plug the ipod in, the screen does say; "do not disconnect", and the drive is found in my computer... That lasts about five seconds before disappearing. I might try uninstalling itunes now and see if that sticks around any longer, maybe I can do a restore if it does... Will report back soon.

Ok, so that idea popped into my head as I was writing it and I shoulda just shuddup and done it anyway, because that's worked. Yep, uninstalled itunes, ipod acted only as a drive and voila, the updater/restorer recognised it, restored it, and now it's all good.

I am not seeing export to Excel option in SharePoint 2013 survey (even in the overview view mode)

If anyone could point me in the right direction as to what steps to take to enable the export to excel option in a sharePoint survey list.
all other surveys are showing up that export to excel option.
I am not seeing the view dropdown as well which shows up on right (the only way to create new view is through the URL as of now)
Constraints
Survey already has several responses now so making a new survey is not an option
(I know that when is any custom view is changed to default view and if Overview is made as the default view again this option goes away, but how to get this export to excel option back?)
Steps taken till now
Checked in SP designer as to which field is set to default and it shows overview as the default.
Checked whether any web part was closed and it seems there was none else closed web part category would've shown up
Saved the existing survey as template both with the content included and without the content (without the content template has the export to excel option showing up)

Do following, it will work
Create a simple list and hit export to excel to create owssvr.iqy file
Open that file in notepad
Collect Survey list' GUID and View GUID from SPD. You need to change the pointer to test list to survey
Change list GUID and view Guid

I have an Edit In - Photoshop option, but not an Export - Photoshop option.
Obviously to have right-click Edit In to work, the photo you're right-clicking on needs to be selected. I assume this is not the problem, and that the photo is selected.
Mavericks 10.9.3 has a problem where the Users folder is hidden, and you need to update iTunes to fix it, but it's been a few weeks since this happened so hopefully you're up-to-date and the Users folder isn't hidden anymore.
If you can't get things to work, I'd uninstall LR and uninstall Photoshop, then install Photoshop, and update it, then install LR and update it, as a way to get any wayward security or other OS-level things reset.

"Export to CSV" option is not working.

Hi,
When I am trying to use "Export to CSV" option for "Item Price Deviation" report.
The issue happened, when we lock filter on "Spend by Category" report and then opened Item Price Deviation report. Then I selected More Actions --> "Export to CSV". But no File download pop up shown up.
Is it a known bug?

Hi,
Does give you message on the top of IE about File download blocked because of pop up blocker settings. I had faced similar issue but everytime you turn off the popup blocker and you should be able to download the report. Also try to download the report from other laptop to segregate this problem as application problem or desktop issue

Not all iPhoto albums showing up in iTunes iPod options

Not sure when exactly this happened but I guess with the installation of iTunes 6.04.
Some of the albums I've created in in iPhoto do not show up in the iTunes iPod options.
I first noticed when trying to view photos on my iPod that images that had been there before were no longer available.
Anybody else experiencing this? Any idea on how to fix this?
I've already tried to restore my iPod and delete the iPod Cahe folder but that didn't help.

I had the same problem and noticed that the missing albums had been PhotoCast. Apparently these albums are not available for transfer to your iPod. When I Stopped Publishing the album, the problem was solved.

Export to PDF option in Visual Composer iView

I am using NW 7.0 .Want to develop a Visual Composer iView based on RFC function module to fetch the data from backend and publish in portal.

when i open my project it will ask to convert crystal reports and i have converted ...reports are working fine but in tool bar if i click and select a pdf format to export it will display a error message Failed to export using the options you specified. Please check your options and try again. and if i click on print button it is not working(i have set printmode=pdf)...when i was working on vs2008 both were working fine but in vs2010 it is not working..

What type of app you are using? A win app will not have this option. Also what FW are you using? Have you made changes to the viewer(after migrating) and ensure that you are using the 13.0.2000.0?

The video tab in ipod options

Hey!! Got a quick question. Has anyone heard of something like this... When i plug my 30g video into computer start up itunes and everything is running ok, but then i go into ipod options and select the video tab, everything is grey water mark.. and i cannot select anything such as automatically update videos or manually or anything like that, and i do have videos in itunes and on my ipod already i dont know what it is, please help, much appreciated thanx

The Video tab is all greyed out if you have your iPod set to Manually manage music (in iTunes -> Preferences -> iPod -> Music).
If you are manually managing music, you must manually manage videos as well. You do this the same way you copy music over to your iPod.

Enable 'Export to spreadsheet' option for solman

Hi Experts,
I am new to the solution manager, while searching the incident via webUI the 'Dowlnload to excel sheet' option in enable for me as i'm the administrator. I want to unable this option for some users as well but by default it is not enable for the other users. I have search on scn and follow this link Disabling "Export to Spreadsheet" button on WEBUI in this they have mentioned one parameter name Export_Disable. This parameter is in CRM. When i tried to create this parameter in solman it is saying this parameter itself is not there.
Can you please tell me parameter name under solmapro business role to enable the "Export to spreadsheet" option for the solution manger for the users. Early reply should be appreciated.

you can try this -
To authorize the export to spreadsheet, you can use authorization object S_GUI in SAP GUI. This authorization object is assigned to the authorization role SAP_CRM_UIU_FRAMEWORK, which is delivered in the SAP standard system.
You can disable the export to spreadsheet for individual users by removing the authorization object. You can also disable the authorization for the export to spreadsheet on business role level in Customizing.
To use this function, you must activate the business function UI Framework (UI_FRW_1).

Export to HTML Option in 7

I have just started using Captivate 7. In 5.5, when you published to swf, you could deselect the "Export To HTML" option to prevent Captivate from making HTML, js, and css files. Since my authoring tool does not require these files with swfs, I always did this to cut down on the amount of output files. I can't find this option in Captivate 7. Anyone know where it went to?

Yes, you are right. There are times when you need Captivate to create the HTML, CSS, and js files. However, there are times when these files are not needed. In my case, I don't need them because my authoring tool launches the swf from an HTML file and creates the js and CSS files. In 5.5, you could turn off the publishing of the extra files (see the below image). I was just wondering if there was somewhere in 7 where you could do the same.

No iPod option in settings on iPad

I am trying to set up the home sharing on my iPad but all the instructions say to go to settings-iPod and I don't have an iPod option....what am I missing?

Since iOS 5 was released, the iPod has been replaced with Music. To turn on Home Sharing, go to Settings>Music>Home Sharing and enter your Apple ID and your password. You can share content from any computers in your home that are on your WiFi network that have Home Sharing enabled on them as well. You have to be logged into the same Apple ID on the computers as well.
