Export to .pdf fails.

Tar 6388351.992
Customer is on DBI 7.0.1 and XML Publisher 5.0.0
DBI uses XML publisher to export to .pdf.
When trying to export reports to PDF, the customer gets an
"Exception in Process Method Of FOProcessor "error message.
This does not occur when exporting to Excel.
After setting up a trace we got the error message:
[070507_112246550][][ERROR] Failed to load the image:
http://nadine1.orange.cm:8000/237/OA_MEDIA/bisorcls.gif
The problem is this URL
http://nadine1.orange.cm:8000/237/OA_MEDIA/bisorcls.gif
It should be
http://nadine1.orange.cm:8000/OA_MEDIA/bisorcls.gif
The customer has checked and this one without /237 in it works.
The customer's <db_servername> .XML file and <appl_top>/admin/adovars.env
both show the correct setting for OA_MEDIA and he has run autoconfig again.
Does anyone know where this misconfiguration could be
coming from.

Hi
Please use the internal mailing list for XMLP questions the forums are meant for customers not support or development.
That said, as I remember the integration, XMLP just generates the ouput. the DBI module is in charge of where its put and how its accessed. Id suggest asking the DBI dev team for some help.

  • Export to PDF fails for some reports, but report viewer works

    Hi all
Our application produces several different reports.
    - Report A can successfully be viewed in the ASP.NET report viewer control and can be exported to PDF
    - Reports B and C can successfully be viewed in the ASP.NET report viewer (all pages),  but export to PDF fails with a very unclear error message. The stack trace is attached below.
Two days ago, reports B and C have fully worked, and I'm sure by 100% that the report templates haven't been modified since then.
Can anyone explain what is going wrong? Is there some internal logging inside Crystal Reports that can be investigated to find out about the reasons of the error?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks
    Kuno
PS.: The Crystal Libraries under investigation are quite old. In fact, it is a very old application that still runs under .NET 1.0.

    Hello Kuno,
please try to find out more details.
You say it is data dependent. Could you be a bit more specific. What data work or do not work ?
As a good test pls see if our samples reports work. They come with a default installation. If you do not have them any more - get them from [here|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100005852352008E/cr_xi_xtreme_rep_smpl_en.zip].
Can you display and export them ? Do you get the same error ?
    Thanks in advance

  • Exporting to PDF fails for a report

    Hi,
One of my reports no longer exports to PDF.  When run through our ERP system it looks as if it's exporting but the progress popup window quickly dissappears.  When we go to the location where the exported file should be nothing is there.
I tried opening up the report in the Crystal 11 and exporting from there.  I get the following two error messages:
    Failed to export the report.
    Not supported
This was working yesterday.  The only thing I did was to add the u2lbar.dll to the bin folder and copy over the barcode font so that we could display barcodes on this report.  However, even if I comment the line to do the barcode I still get the same problem.
    Thanks,
    Jon

The font you are using probably doesn't have embedding permissions.

  • InDesign CS5.5 Export to PDF fails how to fix?

Using InDesign CS5 to creat a portfolio, all layed out and ready to print but when I export to PDF it takes a long time and then fails.
    What am I doing wrong?

Is the issue with the one file only or with multiple file, if it is with the one file only then there could be some component like Image , font that could be causing the issue,
And if it with the multiple file then you can try this article:- kb2.adobe.com/cps/878/cpsid_87876.html

Looking at server noticed that the HRPrinters1-5 were created but going to non-existant directory d:\hyperion\...\pdfoutput\ Should be going to d:\oracle\middleware\...\pdfoutput. Had to delete hrprinters1-5, edit Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\biplus\bin\hrcreateprinters.ini and hardcode the correct directory, run hrcreateprinters.exe in same directory, restart printer service, test export to pdf successful.

  • Exporting to PDF fails when report includes a barcode

I am getting the following error when I try to export a Crystal Report file to a PDF format:
CRAXDRT Error Occured on Server. -2147189152: Cannot find the QE property
I am able to export the report to RTF or Excel format without getting any errors.  I am also able to export the same report if I remove the barcoded field.  The font I am using is Bar Code 39.  The version of Crystal Reports that I am using is 11.
I would like to know what the QE property is and more importantly how to resolve this issue.  Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar problem.    I am trying to print a report via the WEB.   I have the font installed on the webserver but the print function does a conversion to PDF prior to printing.   The barcode font does not appear in the PDF file and therefore does not pront properly. I dont get an error, it just kills the Barcode Font and prints the text.  I installed the Bacode functions on my design machine but what needs to go on the server besides the font ?
Did you ever resolve this issue?
    Thanks

  • Export to pdf failed while using Barcode 128 with CR Basic 2008

    Hello,
I get the following error message when I try to export a Crystal Report Document to pdf: Error in File
"C:\DOKUME1\URSULA1.HAR\LOKALE~1\Temp\temp_57163b88-26f9-43c1-8043-d3938772b762 {F54D4509-BFEF-444C-B672-DF893EEBD942}.rpt": Operation not yet implemented.
This error only apears when the report contains a barcode with the font Code-128 (print in Barcodetype 128). Is this function not possible with Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008? Must I install an additional tool?
Waiting for your answer and kind regards
    Ursula

    Hi Ursula,
    Please provide following:
    1) Service Pack you are on (CR)?
    2) Visual Studio version
    3) Windows or Web Application?
    Thanks

  • Export to PDF Failing

My crystal report won't export to a PDF after I put a field on it that had a newly installed font. I have found other people on search engines that have had this issue, but no resolution. I am using CR for .NET 2005 and Adobe Acrobat Reader 8. The font is an MICR font and the CR file is throwing an error stating "Operation not yet implemented". Any ideas, I am on a time crunch to make this work.
    Thanks

The million dollar question. Could be Adobe, could be us. I can test the issue more here, but it will take a few days - not that it's that difficult, but other priorities already lined up...
    So, two thoughts:
I think ADOBE is at version 9 now. It may be worth while to see if the issue persists with that version installed(?).
    I did some googling and it looks like Adobe may have some issues with the MICR fonts (or some subset of these). E.g;
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/343698
    Also, this came up:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/knowledgecenter/c3252.pdf
So, it may be an idea to check with ADOBE to see if they do support the font(?). Not trying to blame ADOBE, just want to male sure this is not a known issue.
As far as me testing this. I found a few websites where I can download an eval of the font. Just want to make sure it's the right font. As far as you know, will this do?:

  • CC exporting to PDF fail

Ive made a photo zine with high resolution photos (300dpi) as well as text on the front and back cover. its 32 pages. Everytime I try to export it as a high quality print pdf it makes a pdf file that I cannot open  even though I have adobe reader. It allows me to make an interactive pdf though. Do I just need to wait and allow it to finish making the PDF?

The PDF print happens as a background task and we do not give a progress bar for it as is the case for Interactive PDF. Maybe because the file you are exporting is large and are exporting a high quality one it may be taking time. You may be better able to judge the completion once you can see the progress.
For print PDF if you want to see the progress bar then you can:
    1. Open the background tasks panel (Window > Utilities > Background tasks)
    2. Also there is an indefinite progress bar on the top end which shows up until the a background task is in process and disappears once background task has been exported

  • Export to pdf is failing InDesign CS5

We have a large book (1000+ pages, 4000+ images) we are exporting to pdf to send to the printer. It takes a couple hours to process. It has worked in the past (we have beautiful 1000 page pdfs for previous edited versions). Now, however, (that we are complete with our final edit, of course) we are getting an error message (after 2 hours of work).
It goes through the process of "generating pdf..." one page at a time, then the next, then the next, processing each image one at a time - all the way to the end of the book. Then, when it gets to the end of that process, it says ... "Failed to export to pdf file"
We tried doing the book in 1/3rds, and got the same error with each 1/3rd of the book.
We don't know what is causing the issue to figure out how to fix it. Each of the chapters/files successfully exports individually.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks! Mark

  • "Content generation error. Failed to Export the PDF file"

Building a multi-folio in InDesign 6 Folio Builder V30. Received "Content generation error. Failed to Export the PDF file" on several of the spreads. I have tried reducing the original pdf files sizes, but that did not help.
Any suggestions on other possible causes or way to fix.?

I'm very new to DPS so I hope the following description makes some kind of sense.
My magazine is in the process of doing trial runs for an iPad edition. I'm setting some templates up for us to work off so the process from magazine to iPad will run a lot smoother month to month.
So far I've set up some dummy stock pages in an InDesign CS6 document, currently 15 pages long.
All images are linked and all fonts have paragraph styles applied to them.
I'm at the stage I want to check the document on my iPad to test run font sizes and their legibility.
We have successfully been able to export the document as a jpg file but we really need the PDF format. When attempting this we get the above message.
    Sonia.

Export the pdf from indesign some error Pop Up window (Failed to Export the PDF file). How slove the problem
Please some one help on this

You need to try exporting the first half of the book.
If that exports ok then export the other half of the book.
Whatever half it fails on - keep dividing the book in half to find the culprit page or pages.
For example if your book is 128 pages long:
    1. Export pages 1 - 63
    2. If these Fail to Export then
    3. try exporting1-32
    4. If these Fail to Export
    5. then try exporting1-16
If it doesn't fail (step 2)
    Then export pages 64-128
    and 64-90 etc.
until you find the pages causing the issues.
