Export to pdf gives differents amounts then export to rpt

Hello,
When using a specific report and performing a preview in de web console and in the designer the amounts shown in this report are OK but when exporting this report to pdf the amounts are changed. In the same time the layout is being changed.
Here follows a little more explanation.
The amount is retrieved using the to_number formula as it is stored as an string in the database. This string is always of the form 99.99 with a dot as a decimal separator. As all the machines are running with a decimal separator , the view perform a switch from . to ,
The report will always have a string 99,99 without one thousand separators.
When export the preview as a rpt the string is correctly translated to a number with value 99,99 but when exporting the same CORRECT preview to pdf the number changes to 9999
For some reason this export to pdf uses a dot as a decimal separator when it should not.
Anyone any idea what can cause that an export to pdf generates different amounts?
In the same time does anyone know what might cause the fact that the layout is changed when saved to pdf. Most of the words seem to be cropped. This is not linked to the font used as the same report is generated correctly on two different servers.

The issue with the cropping of the font has been solved.
By changing the settings to page size: A4 it solved the problem.
Any idea why this settings should be configured on one evironment and not on the others??
The issue about the different amount when saving to pdf vs savinf to rpt is still open.

Discoverer 9i: Export data to PDF gives internal error

Hi there!
In discoverer 9.0.2.39.01 (desktop edition), EUL 5.0.0.0.0.0 the export data option
to PDF gives the following error:
Internal Error in generating report Export failed.
In MetaLink you can find bug 780474 for Discoverer 3! It seems to be the same bug?!
If there is a workaround please send a hint to the list.
Anybody out there who can give me a hint?

Here is the solution:
I have five Oracle Homes on my PC, because I am testing new releases of
Oracle software (e.g. Discoverer 9.0.2).
The database connect is well defined in the tnsnames.ora in the oracle home
for 9i tools but not defined in the oracle home for 6i Tools (a newbie error
- annoyingly, but there is no qualified error message from Discoverer ...).
So Reports (6i!) is not able to connect to the target database. But if you
wish to export to PDF you need reports 6i.

Printing to pdf gives improper formatting (page is cut off on one side)

Safari 7.0.5 on Mavericks 10.9.4: printing to pdf gives improper formatting (page is cut off on one side). Any suggestions?

I am trying to print from Safari. The problem happens without respect to the zoom level, as I have tried many times with several different web pages, from fully zoomed in to fully zoomed out. It also happens without respect to whether I use the print option (and then specify to print to pdf) or use File>Export to pdf...
Irritating, as the "save as... "option is not foolproof either.
Any thoughts?

XML Export, persistent data and exporting to RPT

We're using CR4E SP1 with CR 2008 Designer to create reports that are delivered via a web application on Windows.
The lack of XML export (particulalrly disapointing that the new 2008 XSLT stuff is not there) means we're resorting to some extraordinary steps to get XML out of a report by using jiwam to call the CRPE COM engine.
We create a report using XI or 2008 that uses a JDBC driver. The report is copied to our server where users run it in CR4E to view output in Word, Excel and PDF (we do the connection replacement on the fly).
To get the XML output, we are attempting to save the report as a temporary RPT (Crystal) file, then invoke CRPE via COM to export the persistent data within the file as XML.
The COM stuff works fine on a normal RPT file that contains data, but the creation of this temporary file is proving very problematic.
We have tried SaveAs (just saves what is already in the report) and Export to RPT without success.
Has anbody got any ideas ?
A simple question - when is the data within a report actually refreshed? Is it when the connection is replaced or when the export is initiated? Is there a method to call that will refresh the data?

Exchange rate difference amount need to be posted to venmdor

We have created import PO with exchange rate 76.35 then we have did MIRO with exchange rate 78
Liability created was with 78 value while making the payment with f-53 we are getting the value which is created with 76.35.
While making the payment client want make the payment based on exchange rate 78 based on the liability created not based on the PO created.
The difference amount is going to exchange rate fluctuation account.
Please can any body tell me how to post this difference amount also paying to the vendor with f-53.

My client needs to be changed ER in MIRO level also, same value needs to be paid to vendor. When ever will go to f-53, if will process the open item, it is not matching to actually liability created values.
In this case how to proceed further.

List of Inventory Differences: Difference Amount

Hi,
I am trying to figure out how SAP calculates for the Difference Amount (ISEG-DMBTR) in the MI20 transaction.
When I check the ISEG table, the value is 0.00 unless the difference is posted. When the difference is posted that is when the value shown in transaction MI20 is written to the ISEG-DMBTR table.
Where does the system get the value (Difference Amount) shown in transaction MI20 before posting the difference? or how is it then calculated?

Hi,
When you post inventory differences, the material master record is changed, total stock is automatically adjusted to the counted quantity. From the accounting point of view, this corresponds to a goods receipt or goods issue, meaning that when the inventory difference is posted, the stock account is debited or credited:
If the counted quantity is smaller than the book inventory balance, the stock account is credited with the following value, inventory difference x price. The offsetting entry is made in the "Expense from physical inventory" account.
If the counted quantity is greater than the book inventory balance, the stock account is debited with the value of the inventory difference x price. The offsetting entry is made to the "Income from physical inventory" account.
Since the amount posted is calculated on the basis of the current standard or moving average price, posting inventory differences does not lead to a price change.

Excise duty payable difference amount

i have question please help me with this.
Step 1)
We procure gas from xxx company and send the same gas from our tank A to tank B( which is outside the plant), through pipes,
in this process we have sent 100 kgs of gas rs 50 per KG, from Tank A to tank B
so for this we have paid Excise duty RS 625 to Excise department
Step 2) Now we made sales to customer but during transportation,10ks of gas exhausted ,so we made sale for 90ks @50 per kg and customer paid
Excise duty for 90 kgs only i.e 562
there is diffrence of RS 62 ( 625-562).
What should i do this difference amount and how should i map this in SAP.
Please need your suggestion

Are you using STO process for transferring the gas from Tank A to Tank B? Are these two Plants created as an Excisable Manufacturing plants?
You have to pay the Excise duty for the full quantity. In SAP, you have to receive the full quantity in Tank B and scrap the quantity in Receiving Plant (which is lost in transit) and adjust the Excise duty for the lost quantity using Excise JV in Receiving plant.

In a PDF you can´t change single letter.
You can only try to convert the PDF document into a Word document.
Now you can search and replace a letter.

PDF stuck on flattening then fails to print

My clients get this a couple times a week with PDFs I create, but they always print just fine for me. Today I finally got one that won't even print for me. As a note I am using Reader XI and most of my clients are using Acrobat (versions ?)
The hackish fix up to this point has been to "Print to Image" but I want a better solution if possible. I also use NitroPDF and it prints the PDFs without problem.
My PDFs are dynamically created using the EO.PDF .Net library (http://www.essentialobjects.com/). I am working with the library developer to figure this out, but without some idea of what Reader and Acrobat are objecting to, he can't do much more.
Here is a link to the offending PDF: http://www.maphazardspro.com/assets/50-13-05348-001.pdf. On this particular file, the problem is with printing page 4.
I have found other references to transparency flattening causing some issues with large documents. The offending page does have many PNGs with transparency.

I had my client flatten the PDF using Acrobat and then she tried printing it. Same result - hangs when flattening during printing.
However, she is not an Acrobat expert - she just uses it primarily for merging PDF pages together - so she may not be doing it right.
Could you try flattennming it and see what result you get?

Yup, it was uploaded to our school Wiki as a PDF, and Pages did open it. I was then able to move it to iBooks, but I'd rather avoid the extra steps.

Payment for allowance is happening once in a year, but we need to pay the additional amount if employee is moved from grade E to F.
But the change can be back-dated also.
How do i handle this?
How do i find out if there was change in band and whether did i pay the difference amount?

Have you installed any PDF plugins or Adobe Acrobat Reader? Schubert-it's PDF Plugin and Adobe's Acrobat Reader both may need updates to work properly in Safari. Double check if you have either which version needs to be installed.

You might be able to use the newest adobe reader program/application for that.
You would have to save your pdf out of photoshop cs3 without any text and then add the text to the pdf in adobe reader.
The text added in adobe reader can't be edited in photoshop, so the other people would have to adobe reader or acrobat to edit the text.
